The hotel is close to the elevated and land railway transportation is very convenient, but because of this, there is indeed a little noise, but the noise-proof windows are really soft. The noise is very attentive and friendly at the front desk when we say we don’t know where to eat at night. He also introduced the nearby restaurants intimately and said that when we asked to eat at the restaurant upstairs, he would help us to see if there is anything to eat and arrange for us very well! Room hygiene is also good, it is suitable for friends and couples to travel together, a small recommendation

I had a very bad experience me and my mom at this Hotel. When we first arrived to the Hotel the receptionist wanted to hold our passports till the end of the stay and not give it to us. I had to fight him in order to get our passports back. Never heard of such a thing. The reception staff are rude, aggressive, and very unprofessional. On the front desk "reception" anytime I wanted to ask for information about the city and where to go they always gave us wrong information. They never recommended us to go to any good place around the city. They where always angry at me in particular their waiter/ bell boy "Ahmad" was rude and tends to speak in Turkish when ever he got upset at us. When we wanted to finally check out. The receptionist who was working at that time didn't want to give the passports back to our group and demanded from them to pay a lot of money for using the towels provided in the room. To pay around 270 Turkish lira. They held our bus and made us late to our flight. It was all rude and so unnecessary. "Necmi" the only good staff member in the hotel. He only worked at night and he was the only one with good English. He worked at the front desk "reception" was very polite and made us feel welcomed in Istanbul. But unfortunately he only worked at night so he couldn't help us when we wanted to go around the city or ask for information on how to get by. Such a bad experience. Plus this hotel is next door to a sex night club. Which always had loud music at night and was so noisy. Reception staff doesn't speak English ..Mostly Turkish. So don't expect any help.

The hotel is just fine with small rooms which i guess are consumerate to the amount of money that one pays. The hotel staff are helpful however with limited language. They were able to assist me with getting best rates in town. The low down about this hotel is the breakfast, of which they serve same things daily. It close to transport, restaurant and clothing shops. Rooms are clean and has been recently refurbished.

First time in this hotel. It is hotel to stay 1 night or to sleep if you ill be out for whole day. I had a room with inner window so it is little bit not so friendly view however the room was clean and no problems. Price per night it is very reasonable / comfortable. To the city centre old town it is possible to go by walking, approx. 25 minutes slowly. Breakfast was ok hoverer some improvements could be very welcome. Personal was professional and friendly. They organise also shuttle till airport, approx. 15 EUR. Where the hotel is located it is very busy and noisy area hoverer, this is Istanbul. If possible also next time I will stay here.

Welcomed with open arms and made to feel part of ‘the gang’. As soon as we sat down we were family. Such friendly happy people. The food btw is well cooked and good. No belly belly, lol except if you are lucky to have the street band stop by! And give you a song or two and then you can belly belly dance all you want. We found this truly Turkish delight and have eaten here many times. Prices are very very reasonable and the chefs really know how to cook. You can also, if you like, not for me, enjoy a bubbly pipe. From the Owner to the most excellent waitress to the cooks to their friend you will have a great time. X

I stayed at Lalali Blue Marmaray Hotel with my family for 7 days. This was the second time I had been staying at this hotel for my holidays. hotel is one of the best locations. The hotel is close to the tramvay station, bus, metro and van station, which is only 1~5 minutes walk away. The Blue Marmaray hotel is a small 4-star hotel, although it does not have a large room (in Istanbul, hotels usually have a small room), but it's luxurious and clean and comfortable bed. The hotel was hot and cold breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were great and they answered the questions of passengers patiently.

My boutique Hotel - what can I say a little gem of a hotel. If you want to live amongst the locals experience local life eat at very reasonably priced restaurants. Be 10 min walk from the sulimaniya mosque. 15 min walk from Emenio tram and 15min from spice bazaar then this is the place. Not only for these reasons you should book but also book for the following. The rooms are immaculate clean tidy and beautiful they all have a mini fridge. Bathrooms are immaculate with a shower and complimentary shampoo shower soap and hand soap. A hair dryer is also provided. Wi Fi in all rooms and super fast connection .The Manger Jon could not do enough for us and the rest of the team equally helpful nothing was ever too much from booking us a taxi to finding us an iron to use. Our travel agent had booked us a twin room by mistake. When we reached the hotel we asked if a double was available unfortunately there was not but where told after 3 days a family room would become available and for a very small fee we could have this one and we did. The roof Terrance has a beautiful view of the sulimaniya mosque. Over all a pleasant stay do not get put off by the street this is not the centre of a tourist place but home for locals who are very friendly I as a woman went out and about on my own and did not feel threatened or harassed. I think a few little tweaks would make this place even better. 1. Tea and coffee making facility in the room we brits like our morning cup of tea. 2. The family room we stayed in was on the ground floor for decor purposes they had a glass wall ( don’t worry you can not see in or out) however in the night when the light is on of the lobby this gave continues light into the room. A curtain would be perfect to draw at night . 3. The terrace I would of used a little more than I did if it was a little more welcoming plants some traditional Turkish sofas with cushions. 4. May be a few English speaking channels on the TV However the above are only suggestions and do not take away from the fact how beautiful this hotel was and the hospitality was superb. We are definitely looking to book again this year with our children

We stayed in Laila last week. We stayed in the top floor. The room was nice, clean, just the sheeting was not really comfortable as it kept slipping from the bed. Also the water in our toilet kept running nonstop, so it was wasting a lot of water and also it was noisy. The elevator was not working but thst can happen at any hotel :) There are many shops and restaurant around the area and literally its about 10 mins walk to the Grand Bazar and Blue mosque also... we even used the shuttle to the airport which is 10euros and was really happy.

It's hard to find it for the first time. It is recommended to take a taxi, especially at night. The terrain of Turkey is not accurate for navigation on uphill and downhill maps. It is difficult for you to find. Leave your luggage and walk around, and then walk by yourself when you are familiar with it. Nice people at the front desk. Breakfast is okay, the price is 3 euros, pay when you check out. I stayed for two nights. Every day someone cleaned it. The heating was very good. The clothes I washed at night were covered with radiators and they were dried the next day. Although I live on the basement floor, there are windows, so the air is not bad. The price is cheap. When it was set, it was 100 or 108. Later, it was already 200. Hahaha, the price depends on luck. In short, it is recommended! Very close to the blue mosque

This hotel was HORRIBLE. To start off, the washroom sink kept overflowing and flooding the washroom, the shower was so tiny we didn't even understand how we could possibly shower in there. The room was so tiny, the area was not that great either, it was a dead area. However we didn't let all of these things get to us, and enjoyed our trip regardless. What made me mad is that I left my headphones in my room, underneath my pillow. When I came back at night, I couldn't find them. I emailed the hotel and said "I cannot find my headphones can you please ask the cleaning lady.. they were expensive". I said to ask the cleaning lady because I was afraid that when the cleaning lady changed my sheets, maybe my headphones got taken away with them OR maybe she placed them somewhere else. Shortly after she came upstairs and started screaming (in a different language, no idea what she said), and the hotel manager called and said "I accused her of stealing". First of all, no I did not. If he contacted her and asked her if she had stole the headphones, that's on him. I never used the word "steal" once. So, if you're asking your staff if they stole, maybe that's questionable on your part and your staffs credibility...why did your head go towards "stealing" the minute I asked where my headphones were? I later found the headphones placed on the table - which by the way, if you are cleaning someones room, you should put their belongings where you originally found them. What was mind boggling in this whole situation is when I rated the hotel, I gave them a 3.3 rating, which is generous on my behalf considering the washroom was leaking, it was tiny to the point we couldn't use the shower, the hotel staff didn't know a word of English which made it hard to communicate, the headphones situation pissed me off...but what was mind boggling was, the owner of the hotel texted my father and started cursing at him for giving a 3.3 rating. 3.3 is pretty generous considering the service we received, ALSO if you are unhappy with the customers rating, you learn and improve from it, you don't contact them and start cursing and yelling at them. NO ONE BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!

We loved staying here, the room is cosy and there is a nice balcony to look out. Reception and porters are really friendly and helpful. One things is there are three Beethoven hotels in the same area so it gets a little confusing but they are not too far from each other. Breakfast was great with a lovely selection of fresh food. Try the trilece cake, was so yummy! Rooms were lovely with fridge and complimentary water bottles. There was also a safe. The bathroom was nice and clean with also good toiletries. The cleaner was pretty thorough and i mean thorough, putting cables in drawers, moving our suitcases and hanging our coats up to clean! I am glad she cleaned properly but not sure how i feel about people touching my things. One thing which i was really not hppty about was the spa lady. She was extremely rude when we went to use the pool. We asked for towels and she said we have to use room ones when there were clearly some there so had to go back up to room to get them. I then asked about the jet into the pool and she said its off so i asked why and she just shrugged her shoulders. She was really not helpful, considering she was just sitting there on her phone the whole time and is the reason why i am giving 4/5, what is the point of having such a useless staff member? We chose this hotel for the pool and spa so this was disappointing for us. Otherwise we loved everything else and the spa lady was not a reflection of any of the other staff who were all lovely. The location of the hotel was great and the tram stop was not too far walk, about 4/5 mins. I believe it also possible to walk to main attractions in half an hour. I would visit again but if the spa lady acted the same I would complain this time.

The hotel is a couple of streets away from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, which makes it a very central place for you to enjoy the touristic attractions. Besides, it is located in a calm street so you don't get that busy traffic in front of the hotel. The owners are a lovely couple who makes you feel at home. Zeynep Hanım's special side dishes (Turkish meze) flavour up the breakfast which is already very rich. Derviş Bey's calm and trustworthy smile is also another reason to feel the warm hospitality. All the staff members in the hotel have that big smile upon their faces. You can feel the family atmosphere in every detail. The room was clean. My bed was really really comfortable and the terrace had a panoramic view of the Bosphorus that I won't ever forget. The concept of the hotel is also dreamy, embedded with names of different literary figures. I can assure that you will be going on a journey that you will always look back to.

We found the hotel to be neat and tidy. The staff are great. Nearly got stuck in Turkey because of Coronavirus lockdown worldwide but the staff was fantastic with dealings with Turkish Airline when flights was cancelled unannounced. They were able to get them to re book our flight because of language barrier. No Kettle in d rooms permanently yet we have two for my family used. I don’t know why, but the WiFi keeps going on and off. The breakfast is consistently same thing during our one week stay and it becomes monotonous. Would have loved sausages and baked beans if possible. Hotel is right inside all the markets. I will surely lodge here again and I strongly recommend.

Five minutes of walking will take you to the famous historic mosques and other must-see tourist destinations. The hotel is also located close to the trolley and the streets are full of taxis which you can catch on your own or have the hotel arrange. The breakfast is great. The personnel are warm and kind, eager to help whenever they can. I felt safe and while the hotel is not luxurious, it is welcoming, clean, and is of adequate renovation. The surroundings are great and the feeling is in the upscale affluent area. A lot of good restaurants, eating and shopping are very convenient. It is also close to the subway, and the hotel is just 50 meters away from the entrance to the underground passage of the subway. Hotel facilities are well maintained, breakfast is especially worthy of delicious and rich! Overall, this hotel is good value for money, but it does not reach the 5-star level, although the door is hung with a five-star sign. By the way, the only minor shortcoming is that the front desk and the waiter are average, not enthusiastic, and feel a bit cold.

Key points, key points: His family can call you the nucleic acid test personnel to the room for nucleic acid test. You don't need to go to the airport and you don't need to go to the airport, which saves worry, money and time. I stayed at this hotel during the epidemic. I personally think that the location of this hotel is particularly good. It is safe and quiet. The key is that it is very close to the famous scenic spots, the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, and the Sophia Cathedral. There is no scenic spot to eat around. Expensive over there. Both the hotel staff and the people around are very friendly and welcoming. During my stay at the hotel, the staff provided warm and thoughtful service and helped me contact the vehicles to the airport. I took a taxi myself to 204 lire at his door), helped me print out the documents I needed, and called the nucleic acid test staff to the hotel for me to do the test. The key is that the price is the same as the airport, and I did not overcharge me. Breakfast is not an optional mode, but is made directly on the plate. Although it is a bit simple, it is full. As far as the price of the hotel is concerned, it is very affordable. Highly recommend this hotel, I hope you all have a pleasant journey and have fun.

This was our home for 10 nights. The staff were amazing and even allowed us to check in very early in the morning as we arrived with 3 kids, one only 6 months old. Everyone was super friendly and helpful from the first day. Breakfast was fresh and delicious consisting of an assortment of turkish cheeses, meats, fresh bread, boiled eggs, sausages, and feta cheese rolls. Coffee was delicious and the kids loved the juice machine. Dinner was freshly prepared each evening just for us. We found it exciting to see what the dinner was going to be. We enjoyed the five course meal every night with different soups, salads, fresh breads, main course, and dessert. Our connecting family room was very clean and spacious, especially for Turkey. Towels were changed daily and the room was cleaned (which is a feat with 3 kids). Bed sheets were changed every other day which was more than we needed. The ladies were so sweet and even held my daughter while I tried to clean up after breakfast. Will definitely come back on our next visit. Was so much better than we could have expected. Thank you to all the lovely staff that made our long family vacation so enjoyable.

We booked a stay here for 8 days and it was FANTASTIC! Staying here felt like coming to a second home. -The hotel is clean and the room always has a fresh scent when you walk in. -The breakfast options are varied and beautifully displayed on the terrace. -The indoor/outdoor seating on the terrace has a great view of the Hagia Sophia. -The service here is second to none! From being greeted with fresh juice and turkish delight, to walking into a room that was wonderfully decorated in such a way that reminded us of our honeymoon, to receiving a strawberry and volcano cake dessert tray a few days into our stay, and to having very good tea made by the staff when we stayed up late past business hours, the service was tremendous. Haroon and his team (Kemal and Yacoub among others) were always professional, prompt, genuinely invested in our comfort, were ready to make phone calls and reservations on our behalf, and always carried a friendly and welcoming demeanor. -The hotel is centrally located. We easily walked to the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Yeni Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, Theodosius Obelisk, Column of Constantine, Topkapi Palace, and the Bosphorus Strait Cruise ship line-up. The hotel is surrounded by many shops/cafes/restaurants/hamams, and has easy access to the ATM's and the tram line. A supermarket immediately across the street is able to satisfy any last minute late night snack cravings. -All the expected amenities (wifi, electricity, water) are functional and without any fault. I think I've shared enough of my own experience to help you realize that the White House Hotel should be your top choice for your visit to Istanbul. This has been a phenomenal trip for my wife and me and this hotel and its wonderful staff have certainly facilitated this unforgettable experience for us!!!

I stayed at the hotel the first week of November 2019. The weather was great too - which helped - mid 20s. About 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Museum, Cistern basilica and Tram Line stop. 10 -12 minute walk from the Grand bazaar and Topkapi Palace( separate directions) and about 20-25 min walk to the Bhosphurus Crossing (and river boat bhosphurus strait tours) to the Asia Side. So, in general - great location. Surrounding area is a bit hilly. But, the majority of Istanbul topography is like that. The immediate suroounding streets have variety of restaurants - par at best in terms of taste and flavours and also more in the premium side compared to elsewhere. The buffet breakfast was simple, continental style and pretty much the same every day we stayed and the rooms were clean. The bedsheets and towels and amenities were changed and the rooms cleaned on a daily basis. Complimentary wifi, tea and coffee - few hours every afternoon to the evening. The bathrooms were clean albeit on the small end. The only issue is not good for people with disabilities. No lifts nor ramp access into the hotel as well as to the buffet breakfast basement floor. Basic TV channels and the room sometimes felt a bit stuffy. There was AC in the rooms as well as central heating in the hotel, if needed.

Two minutes walk to the Hippodrome (the historical racetrack), 5-minute walk to the Hagia Sophia Museum (the former Greek Orthodox Christian patriarchal cathedral, later the Ottoman imperial mosque) and the tram (which connects you with the port for the cruises on the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn), 10 minutes to Topkapı Palace Museum. Everything it's around. Great hotel in Sultanahmet district. I stayed in February 2020 in this hotel. All the staff were lovely and very helpful. Excellent breakfast each morning, rooms were cleaned daily. I would definitely stay in this hotel again. They also have two terraces, one on the ground floor for breakfast and the other on the roof, so the smokers do not suffer. Thanks to everyone and in particular to Deniz for all the information and the help offered with the warmth.

Wonderful hotel, friendly staff. When we arrived, we were shown the rooms for choosing, our arrival was early. Yes, the hotel is old, the furniture is old, but everything is very clean, tidy, pleasant and comfortable. Thank you dear Hotel and the staff for our vacation! Highly recommend it! Excellent location, kind and attentive staff compensate for all visual flaws. But the repair began in the hotels, we did not hear any uncomfortable sounds. Many thanks for all staff!!!!

2 stops away from the exhibition hall, convenient without luggage It’s just taking a taxi back from the exhibition hall because it’s too close and often refused to board It is recommended to go to the airport at least 4 hours in advance. Istanbul often gets stuck in traffic. We just set off 3 hours early and missed the plane. Taxis in Turkey are very tricky and will charge indiscriminately. Obviously, the high-speed toll is charged at 12.9, and the high-speed toll is charged at 120. Public transportation is recommended. Was slaughtered more than 300 lire

Stayed here for 1 night for a connecting flight and then had another 1 night stay at the end of our holiday for our last connecting flight home. The room was lovely and very clean, quite quiet and breakfast was great. There were tea & coffee making facilities in the room and a fridge, washing machine and living room area with TV. If you have a short stay then it is absolutely perfect as so close to Sabiha Gokcen airport. We also had time to spare before our onward flight, so visited Viaport shopping centre which was close by. Slight improvements could be made by supplying cutlery and pans etc if wanting to eat in and also the bed covers are way too small, so we woke up freezing. We had an infant with us, so the offer of a travel cot would have been great, but we weren't offered one. Breakfast was great and help yourself and all staff seemed friendly. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit

It was my father in law’s first holiday in Istanbul . I recommended this hotel for him and for my wife. This hotel is located near by the Grand Bazar, the Blue Mosque, Ayasofya Mosque and boat tour. The room was lovely and clean, the only negative being that the storage space was too small for a double room. The breakfast was amazing , such a lovely choice and the staff were always there to help with everything. The Restaurant Manager Tolga and staff always greeted us very warmly every morning. The Reception Team were always helpful (Talat and Nuriye ) and the Night Manager (Mr Nevzat,) was very professional and helpful. I will recommend this hotel for everyone if you want to see istanbul..

Centrally located near Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Haggia Sophia, etc very close to a subway and tram stop that can get you anywhere you want to go. Simple, clean room with good firm bed. We enjoyed the Turkish bath, sauna, and hot tub (they are included) and massage (extra reasonable fee) in the spa area. There is also a restaurant on the top floor with nice views.

A really nice boutique hotel situated within easy walking distance of the cultural sites of Istanbul. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is fresh and tasty! Yes, a lot of what I have said above is the same for many hotels, but do they all have warm and friendly staff? If you stay at this hotel then you really do get the complete package. Hotel manager Isa bent over backwards to help me in my requests, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, if you have marked it as a possibility then I urge you to do it!
