|1.03km from city centerThe check in was smooth. The hotel building is old but kept clean. The location is in walking distance from city centre and not by the main road (much less noise at night).
The room was basic. Wifi works well in room. The A/C power was too low, so I needed to turn on the fan to help. I like the beautiful tiling on the floor. I liked the mattress least.
Overall, it was not bad, but the price I paid was higher than the value you can find in Malaysia.

We were in a twin which was very spacious & clean! We would 100% recommend here, for backpackers you can’t beat this place for value! The only negative was there was no free water refills & in our room the Wi-Fi was very temperamental but apart from that we were really pleased with our stay!

Fortunately there was a office in the building where the man knew Nora's telephone number and had everything checked. The studio has 3 sleep options and can be extended to 5. There is a small kitchen with a microwave and a water cooker, a refrigerator and a goat stone. There is vase and coating, but no pots or pans. The studio is well maintained, but the bedroom smells not fresh. Nora and her husband are very friendly people, we met them by chance. Nora comes through to collect the payment street sound is quite well hearable. Airco and wifi work perfect

The breakfast that they provide had only a few items, like cereal, mee goreng, and wasn't a really enjoyable meal. However, dinner was no problem since there is a food truck area right next to the hotel. Another problem is that the room is rather small. However, other than that, great hotel. Would go again.

2. Lift service - very bad experience - first time rent TROIKA - lift service already stuck for more than hour - where many rental need to wait at lobby (I thought TROIKA still new?) - What happened to lift maintainence service?
3. Why not put coffee/tea, sugar at proper place on table (as welcoming guess to the residant - just suggestion)
4. Guards - very friendly and always smile (credit for them)
Overall - not bad
But got room for improvement in future….

|3.79km from city centerI've booked using Visa to ensure the room is secured for 6-8 March, 2020. Prior my arrival, I am in constant contact with Oyo and Booking dot com via messaging and Whatssap. Later, I also enquired about the possibility of early check in - but no proper response was given. I was back to accept a wedding invitation of one of the closest Kelantan Royalty which will be held on the 6th 3.00 pm at Masjid Ismailli (Sultan Muhammad V mosque in Pasir Pekan) and in Kota Bharu for the official ceremony the next day. I reached the location around 11.30 a.m. but was not able to check in except for 2.00 pm onwards. It is not possible for us to check in at 2.00 and be properly ready to attend the 1st day of the royal wedding at 3.00 p.m. I inquired about my prior messaging but it neither not found nor properly responded. While I have been reminded on ”cash deposit”, unlike any other Oyo-based hotels I've stayed before, despite my booking is secured by Visa - was surprised to find out that I can't use Visa to pay for my room. My family and I were very exhausted due to long less stoppable journey from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan. It is very inconvenient as a Muslim; despite the status as a traveler (musafir) to roam around Kota Bharu during Friday prayers. The staff did promise that he will try his best to get me a room as soon as possible (which he did). We had no choice but to go somewhere discreet - ended up in Pizza Hut Kota Bharu to wait not only for the Friday prayers to end but also to rush to get cash from ATM. I complained profusely via Booking dot Com messaging and in less than but 1/2 hour, I was called by the staff to inform me that the room is ready around 12.30 Delighted, we rushed to check in. At the reception, I was told to ensure to pay for my parking the next two days (where Saturday/Sunday are working days in Kelantan) in front of the hotel using vending machine to avoid tickets or worse - locking of tyres by Kota Bharu Municipal Council. The room was ok - ample for the family. The television was not working properly but the maintenance boys were quick to fix the problem upon complaint. Later, having attended the first part of the royal function, we found out that the washroom's floor water trap was clogged and there was dirty and smelly water flooding everywhere on the floor. The sink's piping was modified/directed towards the floor trap instead of the internal wet-walls to the drainage which made things worse. (I suspect the drain for sink water was also clogged) The first day was really a total disaster. We did not have proper bathing and had to use the toilet/washroom near the reception Early morning on the 2nd day, I started to lodge complaints and luckily, we were given a new room which is so much better than the first. I should compliment the staff working on the 7th of March, 2020. There is no breakfast included in the package. Has separate bedroom and bathroom to main lounge, dining and kitchen area. Had a balcony, WiFi and off-street allocated parking. Towels and toiletries are provided. Kitchen has refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle. Cutlery and crockery is also supplied. Swimming pool was nice and clean. The only negative is that there is no place to cook. It would be nice is an appliance was supplied for this purpose.

Wasn't expecting an amazing hotel, but having stayed there for one night, I think the hotel is great, and the staff are very professional and very courteous I might add. Room is clean, albeit a bit small, but no issue. There's some slight issue with sound as people kept opening and closing doors within my floor. Hotel is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, convenience store and 24/7 laundry. Breakfast is limited, but it's enough to fill you up (Mihun goreng is too greasy though). Definitely recommended, but make sure to book in advance as they can easily get fully booked. I wanted to do a late checkout, but since my room is already taken, they couldn't accommodate my request. But that's fine.

Not many channels on the telly, only those free to air ones. The famous Muhammadi Mosque is just across the road and Tambatan DiRaja is just a short walk away. Parking is quite limited. Nasi Ulam Cikgu Fauzi is just behind the building if you are into it.

Staff were friendly. Food were good. Facilities in room were outdated and need improvement. There’s public parking nearby. Private parking charged and reservation needed.
The room is comfortable for 3 adults but the rate is quite pricey for the room quality & size. Broken bidet, slow water pressure, steamed iron not well functioning.

We were a bit skeptical about this place when we booked it, as it didn't have any reviews yet. But as it was a new hotel, this can happen. The pictures looked good and it would just be for one night, as we would get on a plane the next morning. First of all: we couldn't find it because there was no OYO sign or anything suggesting this was a hotel. With a lot of searching and asking the reception at a nearby OYO, we finally got there. The guy behind the desk was friendly but used his phone to confirm we were indeed the guests that booked the room. He led us through our room and in the hallway we already noticed everything looked quite dirty. When we got to our room, we saw mouse droppings near the door and even on our bed! The bathroom was super tiny and the shower was above the toilet. The only way to actually use it, would have been by sitting on the toilet. There was a thick layer of dust on the window frame, accompanied by some sort of fungus and again, some sort of animal feces... We booked another room in the city and left this place as fast as we could! We did get a refund, so that was nice!
