Hotels Near Kriegeralpe In Lech Review
We have just got home from an excellent stay at the Tannbergerhof. The hotel staff are lovely and very accommodating. The rooms are impeccably clean (and I am fussy!) and newly renovated. The breakfast and dinners are fantastic and set in a traditional restaurant - the waiting staff were very good and looked after us very well. My mum needed gluten free and they were excellent with accommodating this. We were also staying with our 6 month old baby and the staff were excellent with her - she had her own robe and a rubber duck toy waiting for her in the room - nice touch! The sauna and steam rooms were a nice addition and the location is ideal. It's a minute walk across the road to the ski lift. Overall we had a great time and will be back to the Tannbergerhof.
First impression of the hotel was good. The hotel had pools outside and inside. It has a big wellness spa with sauna and a very big fitness studio. The room was a bit disappointing. We booked for three people (family with child) and the room was a bit tight for three people. The toilet and shower had transparent doors but the wash basin was out in the open. There were no closets but just an open storage for clothes. This was not enough for three people for a week. There is no AC and just a small window to air the room. . The room was also very warm on hot days luckily it was only for a couple of days. The breakfast bar was adequate. It has all the things one need for breakfast – variety of bread, butter, cold cuts, cheese, cut up vegetables and fruit, cereal, yoghurt, coffee and tea, scrambled eggs and bacon, etc. The coffee comes from an industrial coffee maker and offers cappuccino, espresso and latte macchiato. Unfortunately, the scrambled eggs are sometimes burnt and the bacon not crispy. The evening meals are okay, nothing exceptional but the service personnel are very friendly and accomodating. So plus points for this. For a week stay, it would have been nice to have a small refrigerator to cool drinks. The room got so warm one time that the chocolates we bought were also very soft. For a short stay, the hotel would be adequate but not longer...
We found this place because Bregenz was fully booked. What a pleasant surprise. Situated in beautiful surroundings of the Bregenzer Forest, this small hotel offers a perfect location to take a restful break. The views are magnificent. The rooms, as well as the whole house, are spotlessly clean. The owner extremely obliging and friendly. There is a restaurant offering freshly prepared meals. We felt well looked after and we’re sorry we were only here for one night. Highly recommendable.
I spent a night at the Hotel Schrofenstein in January 2019. I had planned a ski trip in the Arlberg and needed a place to stay for an extra night. The hotel is at the intersection between the road to St. Anton and the road to Ischgl. It is close to both. I found the hotel staff very friendly and the hotel clean. I was happy to find the its restaurant served a good dinner and breakfast, as I was too tired to go looking for another restaurant in the area. This isn't the newest hotel in the Tyrol, but it reminded me a ski trips as a youth, so it had a homey feel to it. The friendliness of the staff and its location will probably make me want to stay there again.
This is a small hotel with easy access to skiing. The lift is about a 7 minute walk and you can rent skis in the store next door to the hotel. It’s vegan food all day and night. The hotel is ran eco-like - everything from the products they clean with to the food they serve. It’s kind of refreshing and a proof that it can be done. If you’re from America, it’s like, if wholefoods ran a hotel, this would be it. I’m not vegan, but I don’t eat a lot of meat. I found the menu items to be delicious. My only food request is to add real coffee. My kids complained a bit about the food, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby which serve meat. And, if all else fails, McDonald’s is a 15 minute drive. As for the rooms, they are large, with stunning views of the mountains. I would highly recommend this place.
We stayed here on 2 occasions over the last few weeks as we travelled around Austria. The location is perfect, free parking in their garage with elevator access, buffet breakfast is outstanding, rooms are large, quiet and very bright. We were on the top floor and had a studio, great layout. Furniture and floors a little worn, but very clean. They plan a facelift for the rooms in October 2019. Highly recommend.
