Back at this hotel for the third time. Reception was a bit chaotic with an asylum seeker hazzling the receptionist, he was at the wrong hotel but would not understand - no fault of the receptionist but almost leading to alceration between the asy and myself. Maybe reception should always have two persons there to protect staff exposed to aggressive people. Anyway, the hotel was as neat as ever, BUT this time I got a room on the top (fourth) floor. This room is spread over two levels, the lower one being the bath and a small sitting room, the top floor (under the roof) only housing the bed. The stairs between the two levels are suicidal - incredibly narrow and steep, like single steps (not full stairs) leading up or down. Now if you need to go to the bath in the middle of the night, chances are you may break your neck. So if you are offered a room starting with a 4, insist that the room be changed. Otherwise, all was well, breakfast was ok at the price.

We had a room in the new building, opposite the main one. No luxury at all, but the room was clean, well equipped comfortable and very correct bedding. Our room was facing the backyard and was perfectly quiet. Front desk was maybe the most efficient we've seen in the last few years with a polite checkin expedited in 45 seconds and all this for a very very sweet price. Add a convenient, relatively central location and a garage and you've got a place that we would like to see more often when travelling around. Highly recommended.

Located in a quiet residential street, very close to the train station and a short walk away from downtown. The hotel has its own parking but it's also easy and safe to park on the street in front of the hotel. This hotel is comfortable with small but functional rooms. The bathroom was a little outdated but it was clean and had everything needed. The person who greeted me at my arrival was extremely helpful in giving me all the information I needed for my short stay in Karlsruhe. The highlight as other people mentioned is probably the breakfast buffet which was very complete, delicious and beyond what I had expected. The only negative for me is that being a pet friendly hotel, I did have to listen to a dog barking a few times in a room near mine. I love dogs, but I do find the barking annoying when sleeping.

I stayed here for 2 nights. It was a nice hotel, seemed a bit old though. The first day, WIFI was awful, but that changed the second day. WIFI was great the second day. The quality of towels provided were poor. The quality of toiletries provided was just okay. Breakfast was great. My room was clean and spacious. It had AC too, which helped me have a peaceful sleep while it was really hot outside. The staff was friendly. The hotel was at a good location, a lot of places to see and eat nearby. Room price was reasonable. I have stayed in better hotels at the same price, but nevertheless, nothing to complain here. Happy and satisfied overall!

In general it's a good deal for the money. You have to keep in mind that it's a guest house, not a hotel. Pros - Great location (tram stop in front of the building) - Nice common areas - Very good breakfast - Clean sheets and okay clean bathroom - Renovated rooms look nice Cons - Absolutely uninterested/rude check-in desk employee (spoke only German) - Assigned the wrong room twice - Ridiculously dirty carpets and broken beds - Stained blanket - No ventilator in room - Very noisy neighborhood (so bring earplugs when you plan on keeping the windows open through the night). - Wifi does not work So briefly what happened to us. We are 4 people and I had booked and paid for 2 double rooms. As my friend could not come, we ended up being 3 people. Upon arrival we were told there's only 1 room for us. Alright, we can make do with 3 beds in one room, we thought. We got the key card and made our way up (you have to go out to the street and enter from a different door, then take the elevator to the 4th floor, so it's a bit of a commute). We unlock the room ... And there are someone's personal items already in there - all their clothes and bags, everything! This room as already occupied by someone. The check-in lady was mildly surprised to hear that but did not apologize or try to explain the situation in any way. Just clicked a bit on the computer and handed me a new key card. Up we went again, unlocked the door ... And it's a single room with a tiny single bed! ... For 3 people?! At least it was unoccupied, we thought. But seriously?! Now I was furious. I had to go down again. And again there was no apology or explanation. Further more, she was surprised to hear that we are actually 3 people and had really booked 2 rooms. She didn't seem to have any accurate information on the bookings or the hotel occupancy/room facilities. Luckily I had all my confirmation emails saved so this helped a little. She gave us an additional double room and didn't care to deal with me any more. I tried to ask how she would have solved it if it was 4 of us, like I booked. No idea. At least we got 2 rooms with 1 bed in the first and 2 beds in the 2nd. The single room we had was decent. Nothing special but nice for a guest house room. The double room was really shabby - stained floors and blanket, broken curtains and tons of cigarette buds outside on the windowsill. On top of it all, the wifi didn't work anywhere ... In conclusion I believe the biggest issue of this place was the horrible service at the check-in. Mistakes happen, systems fail, but this can all be neutralized with simple politeness. I recommend it to people who have very low expectations and just need a place to stay for the night. However, i would never stay there again ...

the hotel is ideally located with a tram stop right in front of it. The city center is in walking distance. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and quiet, the breakfast is really good. The only disadvantage is that they charge you before you have even seen the room. They say that it is out of necessity because the reception desk is in an adjacent building.

The Hotel is located in a relatively quiet Karlsruhe street, Karlstraße 46, and it’s rather close to the main points of interest, such as the Staat Kunsthalle, which is a very good museum. All such points can be reached on foot, which is no doubt an advantage. The fact that one can’t go to the bedrooms straight from the reception can be deemed a peculiarity of that Hotel. As a matter of fact, one needs to go out into the street from the front desk and go into a different entrance in order to go up to the floors where the rooms are. That isn’t any problem actually and it’s just pointed out as a curiosity. The bedrooms are very well furnished, there being in them all that is needed to have a comfortable stay with one inconvenience therefor. It’s about an engine noise in the rooms which can be heard all the time and which can be very disturbing at night particularly for people suffering from sleep troubles. The minibar isn’t the cause of the noise concerned. Were it so it could be stopped by unplugging the electric appliance. Unfortunately there is no possibility to put an end to that noise, what is indeed annoying. As far as noise is concerned, it must be also pointed out that upon booking the accommodation in that hotel I emphasized the need that the room be a peaceful one owing to some personal circumstances which I outlined when making that request. It was completely ignored by the hotel management, to such an extent that the room allocated to me was that next door to the kitchenette where breakfast is prepared and where afterwards the dishes are washed. Since the ladies who perform those tasks arrive at the hotel at 5:30 in the morning, it can be imagined what a hell my room became from the said time on the first night of my stay. Of course I went to complain to the reception. The lady who attended me, who by the way speaks a perfect Spanish, kindly allocated me another room in a more reasonable place than the first one. The second night at the hotel wasn’t such a torture as the first one but still, hearing the aforesaid engine noise couldn’t be helped. At any rate, the complete disregard with which I was treated and the fact that they not only ignored my entreaty for a peaceful room but sent me maybe to the noisiest one at the hotel shows to which point that place should be avoided. There is little to criticize about the other relevant points in relation to the concern in question. The staff members are kind to some extent and some of them are helpful. The ladies working in the dining room at breakfast time are very kind despite the fact that they woke me up the first night. After all it wasn’t their fault. The beds are very comfortable; at least the two being in the two rooms I occupied respectively are so. The mattresses have the adequate toughness to have a nice rest. It needs to be reiterated anyway that it’s not a place one should advise to stay since, as it can be gathered from the foregoing, some staff members just don’t care ab

HOTEL: Located between the train/bus station and the city center. All in walking distance. In the street with very low traffic. There is no construction works as in other streets in the city because of the great urban traffic project. ROOM: Small single room under the roof. The window was normal. On the 4th floor with the street view. At night it was quiet. Everything seems new and clean, and functional. No additional comfort like fridge or coffee/tea maker. In warm weather it could be too hot because the window view is on the west and there is no AC. Two main minus:no big mirror and only two hanger for clothes. This could be easily corrected. WIFI: Electric sockets by the bed and by the desk. CLEANESS: Very good. BREAKFAST: The worst part of the hotel service. Buffet frequently empty. Used tables slowly cleared away. Dishes are often lacking. VALUE FOR MONEY: Only room is good, but the breakfast is bad. Because of that I would rate the whole stay 3,5.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed ourselves very much. Check-in was quick and efficient and we were given a map of the town and some nearby restaurants were marked for us. Our room was very clean as was the shower room and it was very quiet - just what we wanted after a long tiring drive from Innsbruck. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for us both. We loved our stay.

It’s not often I get to use that title ,but wow . This stay surpassed expectations on so many levels . as a frequent traveller and travel professional , service is important as well as attention to detail . Also nothing is free so my views are honest as a personal traveller but with a professional viewpoint I had made the hotel aware it was my husbands birthday before arrival, on the day we arrived and asked if not too much trouble for staff to wish him a happy birthday on check in . Usually my passport is used on arrival for ID thus his birthday isn’t noticed on arrival , hence flagging I felt would be nice It really was too, a lovely friendly welcome by a young lady made us feel valued as Accor guests .everything was explained in terms of facilities , restaurant and parking ( not too easy to find the entrance however but we did it ) my husband was tickled pink with the acknowledgement for his birthday. Simple but effective . I had paid for the executive room. Which has bathrobes, slippers , mini bar and a coffee machine. I felt it was worth it. The mini bar is t bulging but it is fine for all you need. The room was large and had a desk and seating area. A fabulous touch in that staff had put up a happy birthday sign , and a hand written card and happy birthday glitter / sparkles for him. Brilliant and greatly appreciated . We did ask later at reception for a map etc to town and was given handy information for where to go etc We opted to eat in the hotel restaurant. Good choice of meals and very reasonably priced. Attentive service as well Bed was super comfy and a faultless nights sleep Excellent stay and thank you so much for making the start of our weeks holiday so special

I stayed in Leonardo with my 15 year old son (Room no 201). We were joined by another family with a 3 year old (Room 301). The hotel is 10 min walking from the train station. The way is flat and it was easy to walk the distance with two heavy luggage. The way is along the city Zoo - a beautiful place to visit. The reception was quick and efficient. We had taken room with two single beds. The rooms are spacious. A tree outside the window gave a nice feeling and cut us off the city. The bathroom was clean and neat. I somehow liked the bathroom of 301 - a different design, and looked nicer. 301 had a double bed which gave the room even more space. The wardrobe of 301 also had an extra panel which gave more space to put the second luggage at an appropriate height. The breakfast spread was good with something for all. Bar has an interesting concept - recording of 3 musicians playing their instruments and each one projected on one TV panel. The ensemble was soothing and pleasing to the eye. Check-out was equally smooth. No hassles. The only irritant was one operational lift for Floor 1-9. The other lift was under renovation. So during peak time, it would be a painful wait. All in all a good stay. A bit pricey compared to other places, but was worth the price. I would recommend a stay.
