|0.69km from city centerDear readers, as unsatisfactory guest, I would like to share my experience in this hotel. First of all, I must say that the central location of the hotel is positive. I also liked the impressive hall of red marble in the eastern style. My room on the 5th floor was pleasantly large and offered a good view of the city. Unfortunately, this is the hotel at the crossing of two main roads. This means that the traffic around the clock is very strong and especially at night when the Poser scene tries her PS-stark cars, I was always wake up at night. Also the equipment is simple and has come into the years. The garden fell to me immediately when hearing, because the holder was defect and it was no longer fitted. The very bright room was also a big problem because I could hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was a great disappointment, as low-quality goods were used, the cheapest available on the market. All in all, this was the last time I stayed in this hotel. On the second day I went to a bakery in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't make a recommendation for this hotel and advise potential guests to look after a better option. To the rooms ...ie are well equipped and there is a coffee machine. The rooms are clean and partly renovated. But three stars are too much ....I think. The bathrooms are “Oldcool” and the amatöörs of quite awful waste. Very difficult. Also, from the quoted paytv wasn't really what to see. A chaos of television programs. The reception was very friendly and helpful. The bar is mega and offers everything you need to drink! 😁 Summary: for one two nights in order but under 3 stars I understand something else. Nevertheless, it is not bad but it is expandable!

I stayed in room 411 for two nights The room overlooks a busy road so you get the noise of traffic only when you open the window. The room was super clean and comfortable The air conditioning which was much needed during the heatwave was very effective - I had to turn it off! The bathroom is well lit with a walk in shower. In the morning there was an extensive breakfast buffet with a variety of cheeses, yoghurt, fresh fruit and a hot plate with bacon and eggs ..

The hotel is located in the very quiet area of the technology center and far from noisy transit routes. The nights were very pleasant and relaxing. Because we are in the zoliakie area, our choice fell on this hotel – because we had a very nice e-mail traffic with competent contacts who knew well about this topic and the possibility of a gluten-free stay promised. This was then allowed us at our visit without problems. Breakfast buffet is generally gluten-free except for a few exceptions and the breads/breads are backed separately. The hotel is a very good location for the hotel.

I would video with my family in the morning. I used headphones and talked for a while. A male waiter nodded my arm and called me quiet! Because I am alone and abroad, I don't want to have any security risks. I endured it and hung up the video. By the way, the restaurant is not very big. The top few foreigners diagonally across from me are also talking, and I can hear them. Two people at the table next to me are also talking. My voice is about the same height as theirs. I am a Chinese, so call me quiet? Really the first time I met! Stayed for two nights, I didn't eat breakfast here the next day, really a very poor waiter. Of course most of the foreigners I met are still very friendly!

The cafe opened early (6:30 Monday - Saturday, I think 8 on Sundays), which was very convenient for that first tea/coffee of the day. They did a good range of drinks, cakes, sandwiches as well as a full continental for €10. I can highly recommend their muesli, which I believe is made in house. The staff were all very accommodating and spoke good English.

My only grip is that, there is no blinds in the bathroom so when the sun comes up, it wakes you up irrespective of whether the curtains are closed or not. There is a great pub a hundred metre down the road, and has some fantastic meals available.

On booking it said parking available, when the receptionist asked if they had a parking space, we got the answer - yes, with 8 € more per day -. So we left the car in a parking garage in the immediate vicinity for €14 a day. The room had no air conditioning and was therefore very hot, we had to sleep with the windows open. Next to the hotel was a bar where a lot of people spoke and celebrated very loudly. Luckily we only stayed one night and were very tired from the trip and were able to fall asleep pretty quickly. The only plus was that this hotel was a few steps from the center. The day after we wanted to go for breakfast (since it was included in the price), this was on the 2nd floor where we went in and wanted to be served but nobody came, so we left this breakfast room again and thus the hotel.

It is very convenient for shopping and eating. Scrambled and boiled eggs, fresh fruit, jams, yoghurt and cereals, juices and excellent coffee and other hot drinks. Glad we chose this option as there did not seem too many cafes offering breakfast nearby - only chains. The ladies who dealt with breakfast were lovely, really helpful and friendly. The only reason I've not given a 5 rating is that (for us) the bed was a little firm and the pillows were far too soft and on our last night (Saturday) the hotel must be near a nightclub as all we could hear was thumping music into the early hours (2am!) of the morning. Would just advise getting a room on the opposite side of the hotel.

Despite all understanding for Corona, it is a bad service that you must take the breakfast down yourself as guest and then still quite unfriendly instructed to bring the used box down again. You can also save your breakfast order ticket, as it makes the impression that it is arbitrarily set together. The disadvantage is also that you cannot open a window and the balcony door to the persistent balcony cannot be placed on kipp. In general, the rooms also appear much older than on the photos, the bed covers were plenty. This hotel has certainly not earned 3 stars for us.

A couple of hundred yards from the Central Station. You can see this Hotel directly in front of the Station. Turn left out of the Hotel and a further 5 minutes walk will take you to the pedestrian shopping area. Nice bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower. Nice breakfast and staff...nothing negative to say about this property. Intercity hotels are a great brand with fair prices. Well done to all staff.

And we weren't disappointed, the room really could do with a refurb, nothing dirty or uncomfortable, but everything in it looking very tired. That said, the old style bathroom was better in design than a lot of new ones, and it isn't of the plastic one piece you sometimes find in Ibis. However, we loved it here. All the staff were great, nothing was a hassle either with the stay or finding the place, and there is a cool backdrop of BVB's stadium you can get a pic of. Would definitely return, the place is tired, but it's not expensive, it's easy to get to and the staff are great

|0.79km from city centerThis hotel charged me 600 euro a night. There must have been something on in Dortmund for anyone to pay this as it’s more like a backpackers than a hotel. I arrived at 11pm. My stay was prepaid in full by my corporate travel agent. They said they had no rooms and that I would have to wait and they would take me to another property somewhere in the city. I was very upset and refused to move and finally they “found” a room. At this point it was almost midnight. I asked could I order a beer to take to my room. The answer was no but I could go to another hotel nearby where there was a bar. 600 euros a night. I then got to my room which was fine and clean if basic. There were only European sockets. I have sleep apnea and need a cpap device and an adapter for a Uk plug. Every Marriot I have ever been to has the universal plugs (at least one or two in each room). This place has none. Just basic German sockets. I called down and said do you have an adapter I will even buy one of you sell them. I will even pay for someone to go and get one. I was told, no we don’t and we don’t have a conceirge or anyone like that and we won’t help. Even if it means you die. True Marriot hospitality. So I guess anyone without their own adapter is out of luck at this “hotel”. I then tried the internet. Out of luck there too, internet shows up but doesn’t connect or work. I called the front desk. It just rings out. Over and over. No one answers or bothers. This is the single worst experience I have ever had at a hotel at the price point or at any Marriot worldwide, and I have stayed in many of them over many years. This place should lose its accreditation and the management ought to be replaced. Do not stay here unless you get a room for 50 euro a night, maybe 75, which is all it’s worth it’s basically a nice backpackers just off a freeway. If Marriot sees this can someone please contact me as this hotel caused me health issues and was a disgrace to your brand.

No fridge in standard rooms ”to save the planet,” but apparently, superior room occupants are not so concerned. No safe in rooms. Bathroom with green and gold coloured tiles from the 70's/80's had cracked floor tiles with blackened grout from years of water on the floor. Glasses on request, but they wouldn't deliver to room. Body cream on request was so old that it had liquefied. Rooms are only cleaned on request, and they don't tell you that on the reservation or at check-in. Then chambermaid knocked and opened door without waiting, despite ”DO NOT DISTURB” sign. Very poor breakfast with basic rolls and cheese/ham; allegedly broken toaster miraculously reappeared after two days of complaints but still had to ask for bread. You cannot economically repair an old toaster so it was obvious that the reason why it was withdrawn was to avoid having to put out bread. Scrambled eggs on request but no sausage (is this Germany??), bacon or beans. It's definitely not worth €14. Save money and go to one of the many coffee shops nearby. The so called ”cosy bar” is actually at reception and I never saw anyone there. In 4 nights I only saw 2 other guests at breakfast time, which was not a big surprise. This is a poor excuse for an Accor/ Mercure Hotel. There has to be better value in Dortmund.

The reception, apart from the only man, speaks Polish, so you will get along even without the language. Small car park for approx. 10 cars, but if there are no spaces opposite, huge multi-storey car park for EUR 12 per day. Close to the center. Breakfast very modest without hot dishes, but you can eat. Recommend for people for a 1-2 day trip to explore Dortmund or for people coming to matches. Attention. In every hotel in Germany you will need to have the vaccination QR code or PCR test result to check in.

|0.49km from city centerIt’s really a shame… this hotel is mostly totally fine, and I love that it was so convenient to the train station. But the beds are AWFUL. I mean *bad*. It’s like sleeping on top of a table… so hard, I’d wake up with numb fingers, hands, and feet. The pillows filled with crumbly material deflate immediately as well, making it just impossible to get a good night of sleep. It’s a shame, really!

But on the booking website they indicated that in the hotel they could, If HAVE WANT, make a refund to me. I commented on it with the hotel being at the same reception, I cancelled and booked a new room, but they did not make any refund or discount, the young woman who attended me lacked empathy and sympathy. I paid what it was booking directly at reception, more expensive than on the web, and I will not return to this hotel nor recommend it to my friends and colleagues. The room was very comfortable and was very comfortable.
