2.31km from Kushi BaltiMy wife and I were fortunate enough to spend a night in one of the apartments in this great hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt a little special! The check in was easy, and informative and the staff were very pleasant and cheerful. Our room was nothing short of exceptional. Clean, tidy and very spacious with all the amenities you would expect from a 5* hotel! We were fortunate enough to have an apartment on the top floor, with French doors leading out to a large patio, with stunning views of the city! Would recommend the small charge for the secure car parking on site. Certainly would stay here again when we are in the area, or even any of their many locations across the country or indeed abroad, if the same standard is the norm!

Hotels Near Kushi Restaurant In Birmingham Review
This could be a quick review and I could sum up in one word - “Perfect” but as trip advisor wants at least 200 characters I’ll expand a little. I’ve now been several times over the years but thought I would add another review post lock down. I’m sure I’m not the only person that treats post lockdown reviews as the basis for decisions on where to go and stay. Tim and his team have done a wonderful job at making a stay at Clover spa a safe and relaxing stay as possible. Booking times for dinner and breakfast may sound limiting but seems to work well. On the subject of food I think that the food has got even better. It’s tasty and home cooked. Both the spa and hotel rooms are sparkling clean and re-cleaned regularly. Tim has a great team here who are friendly and helpful. To walk in after a year and a half and get acknowledged by name was a good start and continued during the stay. Not sure how Tim manages to recruit such a good team but they are a credit to him and Clover. I couldn’t do the review without mentioning to two wonderful massages that I had. Both were blissful can certainly feel the difference after them. The therapy rooms we’re were cleaned between each person and appropriate COVID precautions during the massage. The new hot tub installed this year is a great addition and plenty of room for social distancing in there, as everywhere at Clover Spa. The only thing that let the stay down was the traffic on the way home but as good as Tim and his team are they can’t control that. If you want somewhere you can go and shut the world outside then this is the place to go. I hope to be back soon. Thanks for a fabulous relaxing break.
Attended with family members for a sporting occasion . What an excellent hotel . Scrumptious breakfast , I was particularly impressed by the toaster effeciency . Other guests were charming: Lively local people around particularly on Saturday night . Ingenious key system and lovely staff. It wasn’t hot so we kept the windows shut , reducing risk of unwanted access. Keep it up!
I had to book a night at Sutton Guest House quite quickly. Everything ran to plan, the owner gave me a time to meet, I was a little late due to traffic, but this wasn't a problem. The property is lovely. There is off road parking, a kitchen with breakfast and hot drinks. The house has real character. I stay in Birmingham a lot and really hope to be staying again. All kinds of shops and restaurants are within walking distance. This feels a safe stay and is quiet and clean. Really glad I found this place and hope to be staying during my working year.
I have stayed with these guys in Birmingham and Southampton and have found them to be a great company to deal with. I was slightly concerned about the deposit after reading a few reviews however after talking to the manager Richard It was explained that they had changed systems and that the issue had been resolved, I paid a deposit which was a pre payment and didn't actually leave my account so I assume it has changed. The building is in a great location only 5 minutes from new street station. Slight moan would be that the security guard could of been happier.
After a very frightening encounter with an intruder on February 20, I must highlight a serious security problem with the Premier Inn New Street hotel. Premier Inn are my favourite hotel chain, and I stay in their hotels many times a year. But the New Street hotel has a very unusual - and dangerous - design. Entry from the street is into a small foyer with NO STAFF there at any time. The foyer leads to lifts and stairs. I booked into the hotel for 4 nights (20-23 Feb) to go to an event which finished late each evening. On Thursday 20 February, I came back to the hotel just after 11 pm. I used my keycard to open the door to the stairs, to go to my room on the 3rd floor. I thought this would be a secure route, as only guests and staff with keycards should be able to access it. On the second landing, a man, in outdoor clothes but with his shoes in his hand, was trying to open the glass door which leads to the bedrooms, A keycard is needed to open this, and clearly he did not have one. I saw that muddy possessions were scattered around him, and suspected that he was one of the (sadly, many) homeless people based around New Street Station, who had somehow got into the hotel. I started to climb the next flight of stairs to my floor, and realised that he was following me . I am 66, weigh 8 stone and am not trained in martial arts! Fortunately, I can still run. I ran to the glass door to my floor, and used my keycard, which I had deliberately kept in my hand for quick use. I then slammed the door shut, just in time.Behind me, the man hammered on the door with his fist, and shouted at me at the top of his voice. I have no idea what mental state he was in, or what would have happened if he had caught up with me. He was only about two seconds behind me. There were no other guests or staff to be seen. I was extremely shaken. I locked myself in my room, and realised I ought to ring Reception at once. But there was no telephone with a number for Reception, nor was there a number on any of the hotel information cards in the room. Eventually I overcame shock, looked up the external phone number of the hotel and rang it. The member of staff on Reception was extremely helpful, and promised to investigate and log the call (which they did). The next day I spoke to the day manager on duty, who was called Alex. He could not have been more concerned and considerate. He confirmed that the incident had been logged, and said that he believed the intruder had been found. I was told later by Premier Inn's Customer Care team that the intruder had been described in the hotel log as a 'homeless person'. I must stress that I chose the stairs because the foyer to the hotel and its lift (which is often slow to arrive) are very insecure. By day, anyone can walk into the foyer after pressing the button. I believe that after 11 pm the doors are locked ,and in theory only guests can open them and enter. But I walked into the foyer just after 11 pm, without
... the coronavirus rollercoaster that we're all still very much on, was the unwelcome pretext to getting married earlier this month... suffice to say, the ever-shifting parameters of government restrictions, meant that not only was our imminent wedding never guaranteed, even just days prior, but that by the time it was actually happening, we were on about Plan F!!! Right from the outset, the wonderful staff at SPH excelled themselves & could not do enough to accommodate us, re both our intimate wedding reception held in their private dining room at the back of the restaurant, and our two nights stay as guests at their beautiful hotel. Considering all the restrictions & limitations that needed to be observed, we simply can't thank Alan (the new manager), Anneta, Marina, Cam & all of the attendant staff enough, for helping to make the weekend of Sat 03 Oct 2020 absolutely magical... we wouldn't change a thing!!! ... from decorating the reception space, to facilitating everything possible, the service from the whole team was exceptional. The food, accommodation & surroundings were excellent... a wonderful experience AND covid-secure too!!! Very much looking forward to our next visit... ... the happy bride & groom ❤❤❤
View of the canal is nice and room is very clean.
I was bought this package as a gift and was bowled over by how lovely it was. We were greeted by the very friendly owner, Mary, with a glass of Prosecco. We then had a fantastic back massage. Our afternoon tea was very very generous and included multiple teas and coffees, a large jug of orange juice and melon to finish. The place is clean and modern and we were asked several times if we were happy with the music in the background and our tea. An absolutely lovely experience and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Lovely place. Very formidable with lovely people and excellent service. The lovely Suzanna was so helpful as well as the rest of the ladies in reception. Would definitely return here to stay even longer during my next business trip. 10/10.
As a solo female traveller I can sometimes feel a little unsafe or intimidated when I’m in cities I don’t know. The Spires is gated on all sides with a reception area and every door requires a fob or code to enter so I felt extremely safe. The apartment was the perfect size, bed was large and comfortable and the view from the 5th floor gave me a wonderful sunrise. The only negative was the noise from drunk teenagers at 2.45am who howled at the moon for an hour but I don’t think I can blame that on the hotel. Unless it was them... I would definitely stay here again.
havent been yet as our event was changed to the 8th of November . but very happy the hotel gladly changed our dates with no extra chetgr.
This hotel has a great location. The position and evaluation are very good, and the staff are very helpful. When I had a small problem, they quickly solved it and made sure I was completely satisfied.
Went for weekend city break and to see concert in arena .the room was comfortable, clean.we ordered the dinner and breakfast package .the evening meal we tried some rib,and chicken wings starter followed by steaks . perfectly cooked.the same with breakfast.plenty to choose from.full English cooked to order .really nice.there is a phone on reception straight through to local taxi firm.who are good value and on time.pleasant too.all the hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, laughing and chatting to us whilst being professional.so easy to come and go to the centre and recommend visiting broad Street, and brindly place .highly recommend this hotel.a brilliant stay .

I had the worst night over ever spent at premier inn broad street. I book 3 rooms to facilitate my daughter 17 Birthday sleepover with her friends, just trying to follow the COVID 19 guidelines, or I could have had the sleep over at my house. The room that I had stayed in was ok, until it was time to get my youngest to bed. The sheets had loads of hair in and spots smelt like someone had slept in, so I inform the night manager he came and inspected the bed and apologised. He brought new bed linen wish I had to changed myself lol. Tried to get a shower the towels were dirty and had stained on them . But yet they were nearly folded and stacked. Im likely seriously when were all going threw a pandemic of Covid!!!! Who does that. On top of that the house keeper went in my daughters friends room, because apparently my daughter friends went over to the other that my daughter was stopping in briefly. As I said I book 3 rooms) the house keeper started cleaning the room that still had clothes in phone charger and other personal Items. She even chucked my daughters quarter of her Birthday cake in the bin that had left for her friends to take home..it was in the box with knife and foil paper besides it. It was folded in a white bun line bag and packed away in her cleaning trolley. Kids were upset, but that never got me upset not even the dirty bed piss me off. I got frustratedwhen I told the day manager what happened. Then she came back with the cake box in her hand telling me that the house keeper did not put it in the bin she put it in the lost and found property.like WTF I just saw the cake box in bag dump in the trolley you ready had the Audacity and cheekyness to go pick it out of the bin and bring it in front of me my other 7 year old daughter, telling lies that it wasnt in the bin. Saying that they salvaged the cake That's what really piss me off, that was totally disrespectful. I've always used Premier Inn and I have always have a great experience, but that one in Broad street B16 Birmingham pls guys stay away. Manager needs to intervien and spot check there rooms and staff. 🥵🥵🥵🥵
One of those reviews I almost don't want to leave in case it's full next time I visit. Excellent little place. Courteous, professional owner, clean and comfortable accommodation and a short drive from the NEC. Will be staying here again. Thankyou
Well, all hell had broke loose when we arrived, the whole computer system had failed, so the staff were REALLY STRESSED OUT...with having to take card payments the slide box way.....a nightmare!...Bar was closed which upset several people, only four dishes on the menu and we disliked them all, I dont think it opened at all in the end….it was a nightmare trying to get food to the Arena(walking distance)had the Sterelphonics live, so ewverywhere was packed, in the end we had fish and chips in the arena at £10 so didnt starve. The club accross the way was VERY noisey indeed until the early hours of the day....so we got very little sleep. Several guests got booked in the car par park which is not owned by Premier Inn.DISGUSTING that they were not informed that there was a multi storey 50 yards away. Yes, we complained about the noise and were given a free breakfast, a good nights sleep would have been better. But breakfast, to be honest was the usual high Premier Inn standard....The most we have EVER been charged for one night in our Premier Inn history....would have been cheaper elsewhere......which, upset the wife!...Would we stay again....No.....not in this one at THAT ridiculous price....But clean and tidy. Staff including the manageress Preety were brilliant under the circumstances....I'm sure they were all apologising in their sleep that night.....
I booked this guesthouse due to it's proximity to an office I was visiting for work. The price was very good value and included breakfast so I wasn't expecting very much but was very pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. There is free parking out the front which is a bonus. On arrival, the staff were friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and had all the amenities that I needed for a nights stay. The bed was incredibly warm and comfortable and the room was dark and very quiet so I had a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was a continental selection. The food was really good and there was everything I would have wanted including some very healthy options. I would definitely stay here on my next visit to Birmingham.
The reception staff at Sheldon Travelodge are exceptionally friendly and professionals with a special mention to Cherry Khan who is very accommodating and very helpful, Always has a welcoming smiles and very polite manner when speaking to guests like me. The location of the hotel is very accessible by foot to shops and restaurants. The room i stayed in was large and the shower was brilliant. My overall experience in this hotel is excellent and i will stay there again next time. I recommend this hotel to other travellers like myself and enjoy their stay...!!
It was so busy when we checked in, but we were swiftly given our room card. Room was warm and clean. Staff in the adjoining restaurant were all lovely - especially Kevin behind the bar, his friendliness and customer service skills are a credit to your business. We ate in the restaurant - we all had steak and it wasn’t the best, tough and minuscule. One of us had the Camembert and it arrived cold - it was sent back and we received a lava hot one! Free parking, quiet clean room, brilliant staff, happy customers.
really lovely hotel and good value for money, our room was spotless and very cosy and the bed was comfy we also enjoyed watching the nightlife from our window on a Saturday night/Sunday morning there was some entertaining things going on out there, it was noisy but it didn't bother us as we were drinking till late and then we downloaded rain app to drown out noise from outside, my husband arranged this as a surprise for my birthday I really hope I get to come back again, the staff were friendly and helpfull especially Natalie & Ines two very nice girls who bought me a surprise balloon, card and chocolate cake with candle thank you novotel for making day extra special . My only criticism would be there was zero atmosphere in hotel bar it was more like a library, bit of a buzz kill when you have just left a concert,a bit of background music would have helped, we had one drink but decided to go back to our room. It's £18 for 24hr secure underground parking, *sainsbury's local is next door, Its close to lots of bars an restaurants, we went to *jimmy spice world bar and grill a buffet restaurant 4 mins walk from hotel which is quite good value, with good curry's and nans made in front of you, also close by is *sealife centre *lego land indoor playground *canals *coast to coast American food pub *the theatre *cinema etc...
An excellent value hotel. I stayed midweek so cannot comment on what things are like at the weekend regarding guest’s behaviour mentioned elsewhere hereabouts. The room and public areas are clean, well decorated and perfectly acceptable. Reception was seamless and friendly. Quiet at night and bed very comfortable so slept well. All-in-all excellent value and centrally located. Oh, and free parking too! Now my new choice of hotel when in business in Birmingham. I’ll be back.
Neat and clean
This is a very well located hotel in the centre of Birmingham, 5 minutes from two main train stations. Room was large and very clean and smart, with a very comfortable, supportive bed and the "firmer" pillows (but choice of soft if you wanted them) was a great touch. There was some noise from the corridor in the early morning (possibly the lift mechanism) but if you bring earplugs then this won't bother you too much and there was no noise disturbance from the street despite only being on the 2nd floor and facing one of Birmingham's main squares. Staff were friendly and efficient and check in / check out is very quick. I would certainly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again when I get the chance.
It's really level one invincible! Highly recommended! It's really a legacy. I'm at least better than the king of orange crystal
Very good, Ctrip customer service is very strong, the original hotel is full of hotels, Ctrip has been communicating, overseas is not feeling a twin, will definitely use Ctrip next time.
The train station is a 10-minute walk and the canal area is next to it. Behind is the Birmingham Library, which is easily accessible on foot, which is quite convenient
I had this hotel booked months in advance for a concert at the arena opposite but obviously due to COVID everything is postponed, I decided to keep the hotel anyway and do a little shopping. The hotel looks very tired and in need of a transformation outside but inside was clean, tidy and the room was huge! Everything I needed was provided and the lady on the desk who I believe was called Marjorie was so friendly and welcoming & checked me in slightly early. We ended up chatting for around 15 minutes, she was so nice I popped to the Sainsbury opposite and purchased the staff some chocolate biscuits for their break! Only downsides were the bar opposite waking me up in the early hours emptying their bottle bins, so I’d definitely ask for a room on the opposite side if I stayed again, also the whole of broad street is closed off to traffic while they install the new tram system so you may have to go out of your way to the hotel around the diversions in place. Everything else was top notch and I’d definitely stay again, also...there’s a great Wetherspoon just down the street and a five guys which sells amazing burgers!
Not our first stay here and I am more than sure that it will not be the last either. Please don't go there thinking you will be in a posh hotel in a posh room, you will be disappointed, however if you go with the view of what you are paying for the room then I don't think you will be disappointed at all, it is cheap and cheerful, friendly staff and plenty of places to get food outside with a supermarket right across the road. . . And a great nights sleep too.
Perfect for rest. The place in this hotel is great. Officers are also very happy to help. The guest room is very elegant, with a huge and comfortable room. We will definitely live here next time
