Quiet hotel on a quiet street, but close to many bars, restaurants and Termini station. Friendly personnel. All questions before trip were answered promptly. The room was exccellent considering the price. Spacious with nice furniture, with a french balcony.. Cleaning every day, and changing of towels, which is the only negative, since I find it unneccessary and unecological to change almost clean towels daily. There is a machine at the hotel where one can buy snacks, coffee and water etc.

Don’t go there for no reason! The rooms smell bad. When we came there was no one at the front desk and we were waiting for half an hour for someone to come. We had a request for a baby crib, and they forgot it, and they were not willing to fix what they did wrong. It is the worst place I have ever been, don’t go there.

Currently staying at Hotel Flavia, it's a really nice hotel! Rooms are clean, but they are a little small. The location is really good for getting to all parts of the city, there's a metro station 7 minutes walk away! Staff are helpful and the breakfast is tasty, slightly different every day! It's really good value for money, I would definitely recommend and stay again!

At first, in the Reception smells very bad, the mirror was broken, So the first impression was not very good, But we hoped that the room will be ok. The building has a hotel or two at every floor But not this was was the problem. We entered the room, the smell was very Bad, the furniture was very old and not in a good condition. We required a double Bed, they gave us a double bed with two single matresses, one being heigher than the other one. They didn t washed the bed sheets before us, we found hair and the smell of the bed sheets was very bad also. The bathroom îs a disaster, the water was under the sink when we got there, the furniture was old and the wc was antique, there was a rope attached to it so you can flush the water. Most important at the bathroom, there was NO HOT WATER!!! After a day of travelling i went to Take a shower and at the half of shower the cold water came. I went down to the reception to ask what îs the problem and the Recepționist Said to wait because the hot water WILL COME!! That s it what it Said, no interest at all, i dont Want to be rude But the Recepționist seemed drunk. The wi-fi don t work at all But this îs a small problem compared to the others one. You dont stay in the heart of Rome as they say also, you are a Little bit far, not very far But far from Fontana di Trevi, colosseo and other atractions. In conclusion, please Take in the consideration my review please, i only stayed one night and get out from there, they don t Want to give my money FOR the rest of the nights there. I read the reviews FOR this hotel before leaving But i didn t think that it will be that bad. PLEASE DON’T GO THERE!!!

I had the great pleasure to stay at Hotel Louisiana with a class of 28 17-18-year olds during a class trip to Rome. What strikes me is that the staff is really pleasant. I have had some very bad experiences with hotels in Rome on other school trips, but the staff here really seem to enjoy having young adults stay at their hotel. Other than a very pleasant staff and great service, the hotel offers great rooms at a very good price. Especially the teachers' rooms and the girls' rooms are of a very high standard, while the boys' rooms are closer to the normal 'class trip standard'. This, however, seems to stem from experience with having groups of boys stay at the hotel, and the standard is still very good. On the one occasion that the boys did mess up one of the rooms, the hotel staff were quick to help and never mentioned it again - even joking about the problem with the teachers. This is *rare* with hotels catering to class trips - especially in Rome. I can't recommend this hotel enough. The one minor detraction (the hotel is not as close to the center of Rome as many hotels normally used for school trips)* is dwarfed by the sheer helpfulness, politeness, and pleasantness of the staff. *) The location only adds about 5-10 minutes of walking, and who doesn't like walking around in Rome?

On arrival we were told our room wasn’t ready and to come back in a few hours, absolutely fine. We off set to explore the sites of Rome and get our bearings on where we were situated. After ambling around, visiting a few key hot spots and having a bite to eat we decided to go back to the hotel have a little rest and then go out and see Rome at night. When we returned to check into our room it went dramatically down hill - the receptionist (she wasn’t the most upfront with actually telling you her name) said she’d show us our room. We received little to no welcome on arrival - what she did do was get increasingly frustrated with us that we wouldn’t buy an ‘open top bus tour’ off her. Eventually she took us to our room. It was a very small room (no room to swing a cat), out dated decor, dirty linen, hair in the bed, stained pillows, dust everywhere, a fan that sounded like it was going to fall out of the ceiling, a mouldy bathroom, and had a overwhelming smell of sewage! We couldn’t have been more disappointed/frustrated. We decided to go and talk to the reception team after putting are bags down and see if we could change rooms. We showed them the pictures that advertise the hotel and explained that this room did not represent our room remotely - without really listening to us we were told not to except any customer service as we haven’t paid for customer service we paid for a room (double economy room). I appreciate we paid for an economy room but what they advertise as an economy room vs. what their economy room is are worlds apart. I showed the lady the pictures on the website and her reply was still, and what - you don’t pay for customer service and that we wouldn’t find another room like it in Rome for the price (now that she is correct, I doubt we would never find a room as awful as this one). We often travel on a budget and we do have realistic expectations - we weren’t expecting the Hilton but we most certainly weren’t expecting this. As we were shattered we asked if we could change rooms/pay the difference to upgrade - resounding answer of NO. She told us we get what we are given and that is that, no movement for changing rooms or upgrading even if we pay, categorically this was not a option in her mind. She then proceeded to talk to another receptionist in Italian clearly about us as she was laughing/pointing/eye rolling/lip smacking you name it. I was furious at this point and decided that we were not going to waste a moment longer of our time in Rome in this awful hotel (which we would by no means class as a hotel - more a hostel and yet we’ve stayed in cheaper and far nicer hostels). We returned to our room - to find the door now broken, it was honestly like something from faulty towers and at this point we just had to laugh! We returned to reception to ask them to get into our room for the gentlemen to say that the doors can be hard to open as the handles are loose and you need to really push and pull the door to open it! Once ins

Fantastic hotel! Renovated rooms with marvelous design! We also loved the elevator, it looked retro but was renovated ! The room was very clean, the matress was very comfortable, in fact we had the best sleep in years! In addition, the staff was very polite and we were also given a device to have free wifi all around the city! The location is nice, 7minute walk from the metro station and near some very good restaurants and the best gelato in the city! It was overall a very pleasant stay, if we visit again Rome we will definitely stay there! I strongly recommend it to anyone! Arrivederci Roma! :)

Good thing in this place was the bed - comfortable and the lady who rent the apartment (Francesca) was nice. Another good thing was the location. The breakfast was a croissant and a coffee in a nearby caffe D'Angelo - it was good but not enough for a breakfast. Bad things: The first day, lady who rent the apartment said, we will have our towels changed once (after second day). Unfortunately it was untrue beacuse the towels weren't changed at all! Another thing was the water. There was no hot water in the shower it was just mildly warm. It means that, when I came back after 12 h of sighseeing, very tired and cold and wanted to take a warm shower, the water was cold! It was a disaster! What is more, the heating didn't work, (with outside temp 8C at night) so on a third day I got a cold! We got only ONE AND a HALF rolls of toilet paper for 5 days! The Wifi connection started working after my intervention. On the booking.com page it was written that you can use the kitchen for FREE- we were told we had to pay 5eur extra per day. We decided not to use it. The room was very noisy, you can hear everybody around. Neighbouring to our place was the kitchen, so when someone was cooking you could smell the food being cooked! What can I say. Rome is beatuful but the accomodation was a nighmare. I definitely don't recommend this place.

Older style hotel with basic rooms that were very clean and fairly comfortable in a great location. Loved the general decor of the hotel, and the breakfast was fantastic. The desk staff let it down, so I would not stay there again. Not once did the doorman open the very heavy front doors even stood there watching me struggle. The desk staff were just plain rude - heads down at the computer when I approached and only looked up after I'd been standing there for a few minutes, or would turn their backs and walk into the inner office. The only exception was the night clerk who went out of his way to assist us in booking a tour - he was the only staff member who was helpful and friendly. Shame the others weren't like him. There were no coffee or tea making provisions in the room, and also no iron or ironing board, and no ironing room either.

Perfect location, especially if you arrive from the train station, so you can directly leave your luggage and walk in the biggest open hair museum: Rome! The hotel is very modern and new! The twin bedroom was equipped with all the facilities and spacious and spot clean. The Staff and the property are very well prepared and following the new Covid safety procedures. A special thanks to the reception team, the super funny guy that welcomed me and my friend upon arrival and the amazing lady that was there upon check out. Keep it up with the great job and I’ll see you on my next visit, Ciao

Stayed here for 2 nights. Arrived late gone 10pm pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was still open lovely food. Also offered a snack menu if we wanted to eat after 10.30pm. Very lovely bar and chill out areasThe room was immaculate with a very decent bath and shower. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it. 20 minute bus ride into central of Rome. €12.00 euros ticket covers 48hours and can be used on all public transport. We used the bus, train and tram. Restaurants in Rome all charge for sides i.e. veg or salad etc. Eat in the ones way from the main attractions by a couple of streets. Wear trainers as you end up walking alot and pack a travel umbrella. Stayed 2 days and saw loads Night time was a magical atmosphere everything lit up.

Though the beds need to be updated, the room was big, and the location was perfect as it was close to the terminal. However, the city tax they charge was quite expensive. The hallway set up was a little confusing at first but not too bad. One hallway was a little creepy though; and the spa seems to open late and close early. The staff were nice and love the rooftop bar.

We travelled as a family of 2 Adults & 2 Children. Most part of our trip to Europe we were all in 1 room, however at Rome we had booked a quad room with connecting doors, and this was amazing for all family members to have a bigger space. Both rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Beds & pillows super comfortable, wifi works great. In the main room there was an amazing space to do your make up each morning with a mirror and lights, lighting needs to be a little brighter but great to have own area. Breakfast was only 9€ and quite a big selection, both of my fussy eaters enjoyed! The waitress was lovely and kind. Walking distance to everything - we chose to walk over the city as everything is walking distance and you get to see more, however HoHo bus stops are close, and walking distance to Terminal train station. I would 100% stay here again, and recommend this hotel to anyone! Also a mention to the staff in reception, who were very kind with check out! Great hotel, stay here!

When I booked this hotel, it was marketed as a Best Western but when I got there, everyone knew it as Hotel Roma Tor Vergata and there were very few visual indicators to link it with Best Western (even in their rooms, which were well-appointed and comfortable). Front desk staff were polite and accommodating. They spoke excellent English and were happy to provide directions and assistance. The restaurant staff were also excellent and very courteous. They even stayed past their closing time to serve a few of us late arrivals. Food quality was also excellent, though they had a limited number of choices. While I asked the front desk staff for directions to the nearest metro station (Torre Gaia) I thought I would be extra safe and also let my GPS guide me. 4 km later and after the app kept changing instructions and getting itself confused, I can say ... "Bad decision." The locals however were very helpful, even those whose English was limited). The metro ride into Rome was not very long and the trains were comfortable (NOTE: I did not travel during rush hours), and prompt. Also near the hotel, there were several shops, a supermarket, and cafe. I didn't stay long Enough to visit these places but they are well within walking distance. Overall, I was very happy with this hotel, for its location, room quality, food and beverage quality, value, and most importantly, service.

Monti
We stayed at the Monti Palace Hotel for a week in September. It is worth saying this was during the coronavirus pandemic so Rome was very quiet although case numbers in Italy were low. Firstly, the positives:- Location - hotel is right on top of the metro station which is very convenient. Note that you have to change at termini for several locations in central Rome. 20 min walk from Trevi fountain or pantheon, 10 mins to forum and colosseum. Small supermarket directly across the street and lots of restaurants in the local vicinity. We had good, cheap food at La Base, Ai Tre Scalani and Iari the Vino. Check in - we arrived at 12:30 and were informed the room was ready - much appreciated after an early start. We were told we had been upgraded to a superior room but that is the room type we had booked (and shows on our booking confirmation) No problem so we didn’t say anything but a bit odd to say we had been upgraded. We also requested a high floor to be away from the road noise and were put on the top floor for rooms. Room - room was a good size and overall very clean. The bathroom in particular was lovely. Housekeeping did a very thorough job each day. Air con was great and the bed was very comfy. But, see below the negative points The not so good things:- Breakfast - was included in our rate (not free included in the price!) it was pretty dire to be honest. I know with covid it is difficult but can’t understand why they couldn’t offer toast (we specifically asked on the form you fill in, in both English and Italian and were given bread), or why fruit such as a banana couldn’t be offered. We had the bacon one day - was the soggiest bacon I’ve ever seen and arrived in less than 2 mins so I assume was microwaved? Conversely the croissants are cold and from a packet. I understand it is a really hard time but I do think they could be doing better. The water and juice was good. Reception - usually very good but I did ask one member of staff if I could pay to print out some tickets for the colosseum we had booked last minute. He said only from 2pm which I thought was very odd (and too late for us!) seemed like he just couldn’t be bothered and his colleague would be on the desk by 2pm. The lift also seemed to smell really bad every time we used it. Light switches - the one anomaly in otherwise a very clean hotel. The light switches were filthy - really disgusting, looked like they’d never been cleaned and this applied to all of them - the two by the bed, the bathroom and by the main door to the room (pics attached). Storage - the room has been designed by a designer rather than by someone who has actually tried staying in the room! We had the largest size of room and it had one single wardrobe maybe 2.5ft wide - with a rail, and two shelves (there was another shelf but well out of reach). Half of one of the shelves was taken up by the safe. There was no other storage in the room other than open surfaces eg. table, bench by door. There wasn’t a si
