Hotels Near L'Angolo Del Paradiso In Salerno
0.05km from Caffe LondraMy husband and I just left Suite 39. We came here as part of our anniversary trip. We booked a total of 4 nights and only stayed a total of 3, leaving a day early. Pros: the staff is very friendly, it is about a less that 10 minute walk from the train stations. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to the primary ferry and about 20-25 minute walk from the ferry that takes you to Capri. It is close to the historical district and there are great restaurants nearby. The room were for the most part clean. Cons: the rooms are very very small. We have been to Europe many times before but this room was exceptionally small for us. It’s the bed and night stands and you have about maybe 5/6 feet then the wall. For us plus our luggage it was a tight space. There was also mold in our shower and my husband had to clean it off. The previous reviews from 2017 say how breakfast can be delivered to the rooms. This is no longer the case!!!! You must go down to the cafe downstairs around the corner yourself to pick it up. Typically that’s really not a big deal but what had made us choose suite 39 was that we were under the impression it would still be delivered in the morning at the time of our choosing. Again, not the end of the world but something you should know if you are reading previous reviews. They provide you with “one free water bottle a day” but it’s a refillable water bottle that I think they might just fill from the sink. Suite 39 is located on the 4th floor of a sketch looking building. There is no reception just a small desk with all the rooms around it, therefore it gets very noisy. The walls are thin and you can hear everything outside in the streets as well. The room served its purpose as a place to sleep but we personally would choose somewhere else the second time around.
0.07km from Caffe LondraPros: The host who greeted me was very friendly and helpful. Helped me to look up train schedules and recommended a lunch restaurant. The location was great! Accessible to everything! Cons: do NOT recommend this lodging at all. I did not enjoy my stay. Nothing worked - the television didn’t tune in, the refrigerator was unplugged and made LOUD noises when I plugged it in, the toilet set wasnpartially unhinged, the hot water/coffee machine was missing a carafe, there was also the base to an instant hot kettle, with NO carafe/tea pot, there was no tea or coffee packets, no cups or glasses for hot beverages (should either of the carafes had been functional). It rained for a day and hot tea would have been great. The property is listed as a B&B but there was no mention of any breakfast whatsoever (purchased or otherwise); no tea or coffee available. I was there for 3 days, two nights and NEVER saw the host after the initial check-in.
0.11km from Caffe LondraWe have read a lot about best base to settle when visiting the campania region. Based on the various experiences of travellers we have opted to have accommodation in Salerno for the 9 days stay. The B&B Le Marinelle had few but very good review on TripAdvisor and we decided to book with them. It is situated on the very nice pedestrian street Via Vittorio Emanuele and is only short walk from train station. On our arrival Andrea was waiting for us on the street in front of the building and took all our big luggages up to the second floor. Andrea is a young lawyer who manages the B&B very well. He is very polite, available and caring. We liked the clean room and the common area made of dinning room and fully equipped kitchen available for use to guests. The location is unbeatable as it is short walking distance to all attractions, train stations and to ferry terminals. You have a lot of restaurants, café, and shops around. We also find the price very much competitive as it includes a very nice Italian breakfast made of fresh croissant, fresh fruits, fresh orange juice and coffee. A basket of packed cookies and pastries is also available free of charge. The room is cleaned everyday and has a small wardrobe which is very useful for long stay. We loved very much the days spent at Le Marinelle and also very happy for the choice of Salerno as the place to stay during our holidays. Our experience here is so great that we are planning to come back and do things we have missed due to time constraint. We also understand that Andrea and his friends are planning to make available some activities in Salerno for their guests. Hope they will finalise same soon, as for sure it will be a value added to the experience. We highly recommend B&B Le Marinelle in Salerno. For sure one of the best B&B experience we had.

0.16km from Caffe LondraWe stayed in Salerno at the Casa Castagna for 4 nights. The B&B is located in good location about 10 minute walk to the train station and the ferry to Amalfi. Teresa is the manager for the B&B and she is excellent. The rooms are spacious, very clean, a very good continental breakfast is served each morning in the central dining room. There is a lift from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor where the B&B is located. It is very quiet location but central to pedestrian shopping area, restaurants, historical sites, and transporation. 0.21km from Caffe LondraThe place was in a decently central location, about 15 minute walk (up hill) from the central station. The owner/manager was extremely nice and helpful and actually allowed us to check in early. The rooms large and clean though the king size bed had a a lousy mattress which for someone with hip problems like me is not the best. Also, though the bathroom looks pretty nice the sink is placed way to forward creating a lot of water splashes behind it ruining the wood base and the heating rack is too close to the toilet boil, so much so that you rick getting burned all the time. Biggest problem is the fruit and veg market in the square below, it gets VERY noisy from 5 am in the morning!!
Hotels Near L'Angolo Del Paradiso In Salerno Review
My husband and I had booked a 3 night stay prior to leaving the UK which we extended to 6 nights once we arrived; the view was breathtaking and the room was lovely. There were only 11 rooms and at partial occupancy it felt a little like having our own private villa with very efficient and friendly staff. The Good: this villa was clean, the breakfast was plentiful, the view amazing and the pool area was quiet. There were lots of options for sun beds or sofas or tables around the pool and also shade and full sun; it never felt crowded. The room was spacious with efficient air conditioning and a huge bathroom. The staff were lovely, and had varying levels of spoken English ( I don't speak any Italian) but we got things done very easily and when asked they provided us a lovely but simple lunch, ordered us a taxi and generally kept everything running smoothly. Being high on hill meant that it was much cooler than the old town where it was quite stuffy. As a dog lover I enjoyed seeing the owners dog out in the front driveway, a lovely old labrador who would amble slowly about. This made the place feel much more informal and friendly. Don't worry if dogs are not your thing they are very much kept away from the public areas. The Bad: almost nothing. The view came from being perched on top of a big hill and other reviews will mention the 300 steps and the escalator that shuts at random times. This is easily overcome...if you turn left at the bottom of the hotel steps just before the escalator and follow the road down it is a much more gentle walk both up and down...and you feel very virtuous when eating a gelato or tiramisu! You are then on a nice gentle and flat stroll through the old town and on to the promenade where you can take advantage of all the lovely little bars and restaurants. The villa is on a main road with passing lorries from the Docks, but again don't let this put you off. You cannot hear them from the room, the balcony or the pool area. Overall I loved this place and would highly recommend it.
I stayed one night with my wife and daughter. The location was superb within easy walking distance to the train and ferry. The room was very modern, updated and comfortable. I paid extra for a parking spot for my rental car. It was a very secure garage very close by. The owner allowed us to leave our car for the entire following day as we toured the Amalfi coast. He also provided storage for our bags for the day. On our return, he personally took us to a nearby gas station so that we could fill up before continuing our trip. Without a doubt, this B&B exceeded our expectations and we were very happy we stayed at La Collina dei Ciliegi.
nel complesso un ottimo hotel con operatori molto cordiali....andrebbe solo specificato che a parte bisogna pagare la tassa di soggiorno che per una notte è pari a 6 euro

Loved this 2 bedroom both ensuite apartment. Very modern and perfect for the 4 of us on our 3 night trip. Very close to all the shops and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the sea front. Owners were very helpful and their local advice on restaurants and trips was very helpful. A great way to see Salerno and would definitely recommend this spot.
We had a room, not an apartment. There are 3 rooms in total. We had room 3. Location is great. Just on the edge of the old town so you can walk to everything. A beach is just across the road. A bus stop to the railway station or Amalfi is very close. We walked to and from the station. If you have roller bags I suggest walking along the water otherwise it’s a nice long (mostly) walking street directly from the station to the BnB. The room is amazing. It’s set in an old fashion grand apartment block. Our room is twice the size of a normal room with a large sitting and study area. Large French doors, ornate ceiling, period tiles. Fantastic! Our host was charming, friendly and helpful. Always bright and bubbly, she cooked fresh cakes for breakfast each morning - and the breakfast room is a delight. Wifi is ok. There was no noise from other guests at all. The room has a small air con unit that just did the job in the mid summer heat. But we rarely used it. The only negative is there is some road noise and a bar underneath. It’s no more noise than any city hotel but you might want to consider ear plugs or request the room that doesn’t face the busy street. Up the stairs and turn left. But the other charms of this place make it all worthwhile.
