We were celebrating my nephew's first communion. Lovely place suitable for children and families. Aperitif offered on the terrace which offers an enchanting view. the children have dived a lot. Sore the meal. Everything was prepared at the time but maybe should be treated a little better. Being a b & b also used for ceremonies, we trust and the next I'm sure will be perfect. available, competent and professional staff. family management

We stayed here for a week using it as a base to visit the ruins at Pompei, Hercualneum and Baia plus Paestum and two good vineyards North of Naples. Access was good and we found the place easily using the sat nav in the hire car. Check In was straightforward and our room spacious and clean with en suite shower room. Air conditioning worked perfectly well which was good as the temperatures in August in this part of Italy are extreme. The desk staff were helpful (especially with things like how the local bus services worked, etc.) and had a good command of English (a big help in this part of Italy as some places have limited English (like my extremely limited Italian!). Breakfast was continental (cheese, salami, ham, hard boiled eggs, good selection of fresh fruit, yoghurts, etc.) and served up until 10 am which was a bonus on rest days. Evening meals are a delight - fish platters were tasty and reasonable for example as was the steak and pizzas. Overall a good clean place on the seafront with plenty of small bars/cafes around and within easy reach of Salerno (15 minute drive) and Naples (50 mins).

We stayed with Hotel Olimpico in late July / early August, and had a wonderful holiday. It was only just after travel started back up after lockdown, and I have to say that the measures the hotel put in place were excellent, we really needn't have worried. Before we stayed, I'd asked a few questions of the hotel on e-mail, all of which got responses very quickly, which immediately put me at ease. Location wise, as many other people have said, you really need a car, as there isn't much around the hotel. There's plenty of free parking though, so as long as you don't mind driving, it's really easy. It's less than 10 minutes to the Autostrade, and the roads are really easy. There were two main highlights for us. The first were the hotel staff, incredibly professional, always immaculately dressed, and so friendly. Pietro and his team in the restaurant were great with adults and children alike, and made mealtimes really enjoyable. It wasn't hard to enjoy mealtimes though, as the food was amazing. We were half board, but still ate snacks and pizza at lunchtime, as we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. The variety on the menu was huge, all brilliantly cooked, and nicely presented. If you read reviews saying that the menu doesn't change, strictly speaking, it's true, but there was so much on it that generally the trouble was deciding what to have (I always seemed to have about 6 choices). There's loads of it as well, so it's really easy to not make it to dessert (which would be a mistake :-)) The only thing that we'd really change was that there wasn't anywhere other than poolside to sit before dinner. The indoor bar wasn't open as it was the height of summer, so it was just poolside. We got a table every night for a drink before food, but I always felt a little over-dressed with people still in the pool. It's a minor thing though, and didn't spoil our holiday in any way. It's easier to not worry about these things with a glass of prosecco in hand. All in all, it's a great hotel, and a good base for exploring Naples, Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the people working in the hotel for giving us a wonderful holiday in what was a tricky time for the industry.

Spent 1 night in this confortable hotel. Room was very spacious, having not only large double bad, but also sofa and desk with a chair. Furniture in good shape, TV set of decent size, WiFi (free) working fine. Bathroom also nice and spacious. Breakfast was consistent (eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, etc.). Personnel nice and helpful. We had dinner at hotel's restaurant, not many choices but excellent cooked and served. Other restaurants and supermarket at walking distance. Recommended.
