I ordered without breakfast, but there is a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. You can buy some milk, yogurt, cereal, bread, avocado (the avocados here are very cheap) and you can have breakfast. Our room has a big bed and a small bed. A family of three lives in a spacious room with walkincloset, which is very big. The location is very good, next to the big Quicentro mall, it takes no two minutes to walk. The owner of the hotel is very nice and provided us with a lot of help, and recommended to stay.

We chose Stanford Suites on it’s location and a few reviews. It’s a boutique 30 room hotel. The rooms are tasteful and spacious, we ordered a King Bed but their idea of King is obviously different to ours because it was small. We were taken to our room, whoops it’s already occupied, back to reception. Given another room 6th floor. Room itself was okay, small kitchen, no utensils, lounge area, bathroom and separate bedroom. Bedroom was double glazed but OH the Traffic NOISE was unbearable. Complained to Manager/owner Veronica and eventually moved to 8th floor great room no kitchen but had a spa bath and separate toilet & shower. Also larger bed. Two nights in this room were still a little noisy ( traffic is heavy) but better than the room on 6. Went off for a week on Galapagos then back for 1 night. This time straight into a room on 7. Matched the one on 6 but was a little quieter than 6. Overall the hotel is nice, the rooms nice but if noise is a problem then don’t stay here. Our only other problem was language, unfortunately our Spanish is very limited and the only person who spoke any English was Veronica who wasn’t always around. The staff tried and were nice but the language was difficult.

Great property, staff was excellent and our room was huge with a nice big window overlooking the downtown area. Lots of cafes and restaurants in walking distance although you might not want to stay out very late. Gym on the 12th floor and go up there to look out over the city. Carolina Park very close and Centro Mall is right there too. Free breakfast, excellent coffee, OJ juice machine.

We were a family of 13 staying here with kids aged 6-13 and grandparents after coming out of the Amazon. We checked in on Christmas Day and due to covid protocols, the services of their club floor lounge were not available to us - but instead they provided us with fully 3 meals a day along with alcohol tickets to compensate for this. As we arrived late and were not able to book into any restaurant, Melena (spelling??) at the front desk arranged for one of their cafes to open especially for us to have our Xmas dinner in along with a dedicated waiter who was also wonderful. And their food was plentiful and FABULOUS!! Yes we did have to pay 2.00 for a swim cap which seemed silly as covid and swimming in water do not have anything to do with each other but you have to suck up the protocols and customs in other countries as everyone does it all differently. The rooms were great - spacious and clean and location was good as well. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I stayed here before and after our Galapagos Island Cruise. This location was beautiful! We enjoyed the buffet in the Botanica restaurant, where the wait staff was very prompt and helpful with meal selections, La Hacienda restaurant and the Exchange Lobby Bar and Sushi Bar, where Karla and the bartenders welcomed us warmly and were helpful with food selections. I feel as if we have made good friends forever. The Sushi was amazing. The hotel was clean and proactive against spreading Covid. The heated pool was amazing..and the hot tub too. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.. I highly recommend it if you're staying in Quito

Stayed here for 2 nights while in Quito. The location of this place is great. Easy walking distance to everything there is to see in the historical center. Very quiet at night. The staff spoke enough English and were friendly. The inside courtyard with all the plants was also very nice. My room was basic and the bed was comfortable. The room could use a dusting though. WiFi worked well in my room. Breakfast was a couple eggs, fruit, and bread. Nothing special, but gets the job done. Overall, for the price I was satisfied.

Consistent with Ctrip's online description, it is located in the area where international brand hotels are concentrated. There are many foreigners living around, and the relative security is good. The street next door is full of restaurants, all kinds of flavors, and there are even a series of incense! ! ! Not convinced. . 1 km away There is a relatively large mall (all large relative to Quito). The restaurant is very good, it is expensive, lunch buffet 48.9 dollars, reluctant to eat. . . There are more choices for breakfast, and the dishes are changed every day, which is quite satisfactory. The downside is that the toilet is a bit crowded, everything else is fine and neat. Although there is no bathtub, I don't need a bathtub. Overall very satisfied, more than four hundred prices

We spent our last two nights here, after touring around the cloud forest in Northern Ecuador looking at birds. During our 2-1/2 weeks in Ecuador we never found another hotel that had coffee available (let alone breakfast) before 8:00am, until we arrived at Wyndham Garden Hotel. I guess this is an American thing, but I like to have coffee as soon as I get up, and we're usually out the door before 8am since we're birders. So having a coffee pot in our own room at Wyndham Garden Hotel was a fantastic find for us, along with their restaurant opening for breakfast as early as 6:30am. An espresso stand in the corner of the dining area opens at 7:00am as a bonus. I was in heaven, haha! In addition, the service was exceptionally good at this hotel. Everyone was eager to help, and we appreciated it. Our room was on the small side, but it had everything we needed and was very clean, and had a nice view over Parque La Carolina right across the street.

I brought a group of nine people down to Quito to climb Cotopaxi. And from the very beginning while planning this trip, Veronica was amazing. We must have exchanged 30 or 40 emails. And she was so prompt in answering all of our questions. We stayed for five nights then left to climb the mountain they came back for another couple of nights. You can imagine all the questions that this number of a group would have. I don't see how she managed to take care of all of us arranging tour shuttles rides etc. It seems like she never slept. I'm going to give this hotel my highest rating ever but it's 100% due to Veronica. From scheduling covid test in the hotel to shuttles back and forth all over the place, she never missed a beat and was always smiling. This is probably the best experience I've had with any hotel ever. Thank you Veronica for taking care of this Tennessee group. We will definitely be back.

Despite my loyalty status with Hilton I have to admit that many US Hilton properties have left much to be desired so I am always a bit hesitant to book a stay. This seemed like a better property than the alternatives so we pulled the trigger for a quick stay in Quito a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the choice. The hotel was expecting us despite the ungodly hour of our arrival around 1:45am. Our room was gigantic and had an absolutely stunning view of the city and surrounding mountains. Everything in our room was spotless. The bed linens and towels were soft and cozy. The staff were professional and friendly. The executive lounge was a nice touch. We don't usually go to breakfast but we took advantage prior to check out and it was well stocked and tasty. I highly recommend staying at this property.

We stayed here in 3 different rooms. We were part of a birding group but came 1 day early. We stayed in a suite on that day but had to switch to a regular room the next day. When we were done with the birding tour, we stayed one more night in a different suite. The suites were nice; we had a balcony on the 4th floor suite. Both suites have a washing machine, kitchen, microwave and a jacuzzi bathtub. I’d recommend staying in a suite if available because the regular room is quite small. Strangely, they didn’t provide facial tissues or towels so we had to buy them from a supermarket nearby (the Supermaxi market on ave 12 de Octubre is 20’ away on foot). Breakfast was ok with fruits, eggs and bread with ham but the view overlooking the valley was wonderful. There was no taxi in front of the hotel. To use the yellow taxi, go to Hotel Quito just 3 blocks away. Several waiting taxis are usually there. We spent only $3 taxi fare to go to Quito Old Town Mercado Central. Food at Mercado Central was extremely cheap and excellent so it was worth going there. For bakery, Fondant cafe panaderia on Ave 12 de Octubre is 8’ away on foot. A pretty good hotdog and burger joint (Los Hot Dogs de la González Suárez) was 2 blocks away. On the negative side, the Mirador park next door is full of empty alcohol bottles, garbage and graffiti but the place feels reasonably safe.

We booked this hotel after the recommendation of another hotel and tour guide to stay closer to the airport. From the moment we tried to get ahold of them we were treated horribly. We had planned to land during the civil unrest and therefore were very understanding but wanted to be sure that we would be able to get their offered 24 hour airport transfer. The night of our flight my husband and I were hung up on multiple times. Our flight then was delayed to the next day but no one would answer the phone or my emails. We tried multiple times for the next three days to get ahold of them but were unable. Additionally given the fact that they were unresponsive we requested a refund and they would not even respond. They finally told hotels.com they refused with no reasoning. Everyone else we have dealt with has been absolutely wonderful and therefore I recommend booking somewhere else so that you do not experience a similar situation. If someone is willing to take advantage here I am sure they are in many other situations.

Nothing but great things to say about this hotel! It was a last-minute booking, like very last minute… it was actually made from the airport when we landed -- but that was no problem for the staff. Our shuttle driver immediately found us at the airport and gave us a ride with their free service. The shuttle is about 8 minutes away from the hotel, and leaves every half hour. We booked the Executive Suite for our room which was HUGE! There was a separate living area, two different televisions, and two bathrooms! Everything was spotless and incredibly clean. The room came with two free bottles of water, as well as wipes and even free facemasks. We had breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout our stay at the hotel. Breakfast had plenty of options from cold cereal, ceviche, etc. to hot items like made-to-order eggs, waffles, and potatoes. Lunch and dinner was also was very tasty, with a variety of different items to choose from, and presented quite nicely. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were able to get a late check-out the day of our flight, with no extra fees added. Without a doubt next time we are in Quito, we will be staying at the Eb Hotel!

This charming hotel was supposed to be a one night stay for us after two weeks in the Galapagos- a final big night, New Year's Eve in Quito. Instead, we discovered on New Year's Day that our daughter had tested positive for Covid. We don't know what we would do have done had it not been for the compassion of owner Miguel, who refused to abandon us in our hour of need. He immediately arranged for a separate room with kitchenette for our daughter while my husband and I stayed in a separate room. We were all, including staff, extremely careful with regard to sanitary protocols, distancing and masking. The staff helped us with arranging for on-site local testing and other necessary arrangements. They helped us with cabs, arranging for take out dinners, and our room rate included a nourishing breakfast. We stayed for another 8 days until she tested negative and in addition received a Document of Recovery from a doctor. Convenient location allowed for easily walkable trips to the Quito marketplace, which was superb. The artful decor and plant filled patios and decks made this a charming stay. Huge shout out to Miguel, Carolina, Steven and the staff for being so gracious and kind to help us out during daughter's Covid!!

Friends is a small and quite new hotel, that also uses the name Friends Hostel, although most of the rooms were private. It's one of those properties that provide very friendly service, which earns it excellent ratings here on Tripadvisor, but still it's a 3-star hotel. You get what you pay for, so don't assume you would get a luxury hotel for the price level of Friends. One of the guys at the front desk was really caring and helpful. I guess he's the main reason behind the great reviews. My room was quite small. It didn't have a window outside at all. The wall towards the corridor was a glass wall with a sliding door. There seemed to be a few rooms like that, but most of the rooms had real walls and doors. The room was clean and tidy. There was no in-room safe, but valuables could be stored in the hotel safe (and I did that without issues. It was handy as on my last day I could leave the valuables there also after checking out and collect them in the evening with my luggage). The location was great in the historical center. Many of the sights were within a short walk and there were a lot of restaurants and shops around (including supermarkets). The hotel was on a pedestrianized street and the taxis usually had to drop you off a short walk away (and the taxis didn't know that. I had to follow the location on my phone and tell the driver where to drop me off). When the reception called for a taxi, they came to meet you at the hotel. The taxis called by the hotel also used the meter and the rates were dirt cheap (a 10-minute ride cost only a few bucks). Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace. It had nice views over the city and the Panecillo hill. There's no lift in the building so you have to climb the stairs for the breakfast. Breakfast was prepared fresh. It varied every day. It was always good, but quite small. The biggest downside was the noise in the morning. There's an opening in the building all the way from the rooftop terrace to the ground floor. When people started having breakfast, the noise came through the opening all the way to the first floor. I arrived at 2 AM on the first day of my stay and would have preferred to sleep long in the morning, but woke up already before 7 AM due to the noise. As the hotel was on a pedestrianized street, there was no traffic noise.

While we were reluctant guests—Quarantined after a positive Covid Test—our “confinement” couldn’t have gone better. This hotel is relatively new and all the facilities are first rate. Huge restaurant, spacious lobby, great work out area and well appointed rooms made our imprisonment, for five days, most pleasant. All the staff we met were gracious and anxious to help out, answer questions and, generally, make our stay pleasant. We received five star treatment in a five star environment.

I stayed here for a few days in November. The entire hotel, including the rooms was very nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and as a bonus always had at least one person that spoke English. The included breakfast was very good and included two made-to-order eggs. There was plenty of parking, which was tight but fit a midsize SUV without too much difficulty. Unfortunately, all of this was invalidated by the fact that they have the air conditioning turned off as a Covid measure. It's good to see them taking measures for the pandemic, but not having air conditioning in the rooms is a big deal. With the windows closed, the room was very hot and humid. With the windows open, it was cooler and not as humid, but the street noise was incredibly loud, even on the top floor. The windows aim downward when open, which seemed to catch the sound coming from the street and deflect it into the room. The first night there was pretty warm, and I spent the entire night above the sheets sweating with ear plugs in, trying and failing to sleep. It was so bad I was ready to leave the room I already paid for and find a new hotel, just so I could get a decent nights sleep. Luckily, it cooled off a bit that second day, and the rest of the nights were manageable, although still uncomfortably warm and very loud. The staff offered a fan, which was nice of them. A fan doesn't make the air cooler or less humid though, and seeing that it was already very loud in the room, I didn't want to make it even louder. I really hate giving such a bad review to this place, I think it would have been incredible under normal circumstances. But not being able to sleep in a hotel is a fundamental issue, and ultimately the most important aspect.

But very comfortable - rooms are small but good wifi, lots of outlets, and plenty of hot water. Located about 1/2 hour taxi ride from Ciudad Historico and walking distance to Mariscal. Good breakfast provided each morning. Adrian at front desk was kind enough to get a driver for us for a couple of days to leave the city. They do have a small gym as well. We stayed here for 2 nights during a short stay in Quito. Because of Covid, many of the bars, night clubs and restaurants are still closed but this hotel is perfectly located to be a short walk to a great night out. Plaza Foch was open and we had a great dinner after a short walk there. We were at this hotel the evening of my bf's birthday and I worked with the staff to put up balloons, a happy birthday sign and some confetti while we were out for the day. It came together perfectly and I was so appreciative that they would help me with this personal touch. They also prepared snack bags with juice, fruit and a sandwich for our early trip to Banos and on the day of our early airport departure. This is a solid 3 star hotel but the experience was so much greater by the very kind and helpful staff working there.

My husband kept raving about this hotel. Ignore any negative reviews you might spot here. Front desk staff were attentive and pretty fluent in English (although it’s presumptive to expect that wherever we travel). The hotel is on a quiet street for Quito and had double-glazed windows (unusual in this temperate climate) so it was super quiet. I got there at night and closed the heavy drapes; only in the morning did I discover there were blackout shades, too — a nice touch. Abundant hot water (not always a given in Ecuador) and a spacious room. This hotel felt very luxurious to us. The pool and workout area, which we did not have time to use, was amazingly well appointed. Breakfast buffet was pretty varied and phenomenal as well. We felt pretty spoiled staying here. When we were there the English Ambassador and his entourage were also staying there, so I think it’s considered to be a pretty good place.

We stayed here for one night while trying to get home during the coronavirus lockdown. We had been evacuated from the Galapagos and after an incredibly long day, arrived at the hotel just before curfew began. We were in a group of seven, and none of us had eaten all day, and it was now 7pm and we could not leave the grounds to get food. The guy at the desk made some calls to see if he could arrange anything, and when it became clear that we had no options, he went into the kitchen and cooked us all some scrambled egg sandwiches. It wasn't anything fancy but it was the best food I've eaten in some time we were all so hungry. We were so grateful that he would go above and beyond like that for us, and really help us in a crazy time of need. We took a private room on the 6th floor that had a balcony over the street. The bed was very comfy, the shower was hot, and the wifi worked great. There was no tv in the room if that matters to you. We didn't leave the hotel, but it is near Plaza Foch where we had stayed before, that has some good restaurants. There is a kitchen available, but we did not use it. We were only there one night and managed to get a flight home, but I will always remember their kindness when we needed it the most.
