We have never been in Ankara before -- and heard no stories about the capital of Türkiye from our friends. We came for an international symposium held at the Ankara University. Firstly, the University campus is a big park (almost forest!) in the very centre of the city -- and it is amazing! The entire city is full of parks, green squares, public gardens... Public transportation (buses, underground) is perfect and cheap. Some places worth visiting are: 1. Anitkabir -- a memorial complex and symbolic mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. On the hill, in the very centre of the city, easily accessible and very impressive. It is the main National Memorial Centre, where all the important ceremonies take place. Apart of this, there is a perfect viewpoint with impressive panorama of the entire city. Worth a visit! 2. Ankara Castle -- a nicely preserved fortress building with a magnificent panoramic view above the city. Worth a visit, however, needs an effort to climb to the fortress, but it worth any effort. 3. The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations -- a real must to visit! It is an archeological museum with an outstanding collection of artifacts, from the Stone era, through the Bronze, and so on -- till the medieval period. All the artifacts are maintained in a very good condition, accessible and perfectly displayed and illuminated. One of the best collections we have ever seen! Do not miss this unique museum. Warmest recommendation to come and spend 2 - 3 hours, at least. You can easily find a lot of information on the web about these -- and more -- places of interest in Ankara, so I am not adding any photos. Probably, those you will find are better than mine... Few words more: The hotel we stayed Altinel Ankara Hotel -- is warmly recommended! The airport of Ankara is well designed, spacious and cosy.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, with our two children and my elderly parents. We came to Ankara to apply for passports, but wanted to do some sightseeing. Our 5-year-old son was desperate to visit the Anıtkabir, and this hotel is the perfect location to start exploring from. The breakfast restaurant has a view onto the Anıtkabir and you can visit it within 15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has free parking places for your car, but you can also easily hop on the metro within a few steps from the hotel. The rooms are spacious, very well equipped and clean. We visited during (a very cold) winter and the central heating made sure we always came back to a very nice and warm room. The showers are clean, water pressure very good and the water is always hot. The breakfast was sufficient, with changing side dishes every day. Yes, it was all covered with foil, but that is due to the Covid-19 measures required for hotels and those were all met. Eggs made on order, freshly cooked. The staff at breakfast were very pleasant, especially the ladies Tuğba, Ezgi and Melike. Mister İnan at the reception is also very kind and welcoming. Although the hotel is called a business hotel, we thought it was a very suitable place for families. We can definitely recommend this place and whenever we come back to Ankara, we will be staying at Güvenay.

Hotel correcto a unos 30 minutos andando del barrio Ulus, donde está la parte antigüa de Ankara. Aunque está un poco lejos del centro, está situado en una avenida con restaurantes, supermercados y tiendas. Desayuno correcto y variado. Cuidado para pagar, me intentaron cobrar 1 noche extra en 2 ocasiones, y al pedir la factura, me dicen que en ese momento no la pueden sacar. Ir con cuidado con el personal de recepción para que no os engañen. Correct hotel about 30 minutes walk from the Ulus neighborhood, where the old part of Ankara is. Although it is a bit far from the center, it is located on an avenue with restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Good and variated breakfast. Be careful when you are going to pay, they tried to charge me 1 extra night in 2 occasions, and when I asked for the invoice, they told me that at that moment they couldn´t get it. Be careful with the reception staff so that they do not cheat you.

Location: In a vibrant area with numerous restaurants and also a small Migros supermarket. We travelled from the airport only 30 minutes to the hotel at 0:30 p.m. and paid 300 TRY for it. Rooms: Modernly furnished with no suitable furniture. Television is ”built” in a large mirror – we didn't even know that. Unfortunately, no German channels. We had a room in 7. OG with small balcony and excellent view of the Atatürk Mausoleum, which is being radiated at night. Also the bathroom made a newly renovated impression on us. Breakfast: The whole, very big weakness. Yes, there was buffet, yes there was a good choice, but little of it was for the Central European taste. Even the standards of the “All English Breakfast” there was not there. Furthermore, no one spoke English there to express an exceptional wish. In addition there was only united, soluble nescafé... Other: The Wifi in the hotel was fast and stable. Concluded: Price performance finally true, with breakfast a great deal for us.

The front desk staff, bell boy, and others we interacted with treated us well, including those at the breakfast/restaurant area. The room was an average room (nice and clean), we didn't get a room with a view, at least that is what was available. That is why I'm giving 3 stars. We ended up using the swimming pool and spa area. After using it for about 20 minutes, a staff member came and told us - to be quiet. We (two of us) didn't even talk as both of us were on our phones. Again, they came back and told us they have another important (high-level Turkish) client and they didn't want us talking at all. I made sure I cancel my massage and hammam booking, I also told them that we are also important and as long as they are treating clients with levels - they can't earn my hard-earned money in that attitude. We complained to the on-duty manager and at that time, we made up our mind to cancel and nothing could change our decision. To be fair, the hotel was good for the price we paid ＜$50 and couldn't complain, but it's the disrespect that made us cancel.

Hotel service staff: I personally feel that they are very service-minded and quite careless during their stay. The hotel pictures match the actual room pictures.

On arrival at the hostel we saw a sign that the settlement was possible from 8 a.m. We arrived at the hostel at 7 a.m., waited an hour. In 8.10 nobody opened the door, then a man went out, said he was here only resting, the administration is not yet, but soon should come. Waited for 15 minutes came the girl, began the settlement. Fast everything was arranged and carried out in the room. The room was small, inside was dirty, apparently the floor was soaped, but in the corners, under the bed and on the side and behind the bed, under the radiator no one washed or even washed dust and trash lay there. In the bath, the pelvic is black on the shelves, in the shower and in the corners. No towels and slippers, although when booking it was written that there was, the same with the phenomenon. The mixer on the shelves is broken, the water flows on the shelves on the sides and flows from somewhere from the bottom, the door of the shelves also hangs, there are no hooks for the towels. Bedding was also dirty washed, in some spots, slept in clothes. When we left in the evening, there was no one again on the respiratory. Waited for 15 minutes, walked the hostel looking for. No, left the keys on the table and left because we had the plane and had to go urgently. It's bad, I don't know where so many positive feedback came from. So all who live in the hostel are always walking around and yelling, or sitting in the street under the windows and they are heard as if they were talking in your ear. Very bad noise isolation, the door is thin and everyone can hear who walks past. There was a toilet common and there the door was closed only if it was strongly shut, every time it woke up.

Stayed for 11 days: Beautiful hotel which is super clean and comfortable. Fresh Chocolates to die for, made in the hotel! Decor of the chandeliers is amazing. Restaurant meals were delicious with a lot of healthy dishes Salmon noodle (eristeli somon) and ot kavurma (fried herbs and veggie) were my favorites You should definitely try the tahini dessert as well. Massive swimming pool, constantly checked for cleanliness. I forgot my slippers in the room but I was given a pair of free flip flops as a courtesy Room was super comfortable Bed was massive and so relaxing( i think the duvet was from duck feathers and the mattress was very thick and ergonomic) Carpets were white very soft and super clean. Work area: Very well thought and comfortable. I was able to log in from work from the work station Dry Cleaning: Collected and delivered to the room Reception staff were very helpful. Upon providing our passports they helped us to apply for HES codes (essential to get into shops in Covid environment). Hotel ventilation was very well thought, and checked frequently to ensure air quality is good.

We stayed at the Hotel for 3 nights, the staff was friendly since the beginning. The room was spacious, clean and with good ventilation. It's has a good air-conditioner too and good shower and cozy bed The hotel was super quiet, and a good place to rest. It was near to old town center and also it was easy to get to metro, parks and you can get by walk to new downtown. I would recommend to stay here to avoid the craziness of the new downtown because there's to many people. Another good point it's that the hotel was near to many food places just around the corner. The staff also help us with no charge extra to keep our backpacks during our last day in town before we go to the Otogari. Thank you so much for your welcoming and good disposition.

This hotel is very well situated for the old town of Ankara. The check in process was fast and easy. The hotel look modern and well kept. The Room was good and comfortable, unfortunately the location of the hotel is in a busy main street in the centre of Ankara, so the noise from traffic is very loud even in the high floors, the hotel may have rooms that are more quiet, but ours was not one of those. Breakfast was a decent Turkish breakfast, but a coffee latte was extra charge. The service was good in general. Overall the hotel is a good choice, and if you get a quiet room then, is a excellent choice in the centre of Ankara.

We entered to stay in a different hotel in Ankara with my wife but we weren't happy and went to the shop by chance and told the friend at the reception that he welcomed us very well. He told us that we would be more nice to stay in the suite room because we were first to stay, and gave us the suite room instead of the standard. We were happy with everything.Clean foods smiled personnel .... Our address is clear every time we arrive in Ankara afterwards. It is a great exquisite, elite people and extreme guests. The staff are GREAT, everything else is terrible. This hotel is one of the worse hotels we have stayed in, in a very longtime. It is OLD and very TIERED. The rooms were clean but felt dirty because everything was so old, the bathroom was from the 1950's, just horrible. The A/C did not work in the whole building, only the heat, we had to sleep with open balcony doors. The elevators are also very old and tiered, this whole building needs a serious renovation, or better yet, complete demolition and rebuild. There was no interior parking either, so guest cars stay in the all star sky parking. A hotel NEVER to stay at ever again.

Located on the hillslope in the south of Kizlay, for walking it is not easy to reach. The room is very clean but there's no lid of the dust bin in the bathroom, so if we throw used paper from toilet it will be stinking. Shower gels and shampoo had very strong mint smell and not comfortable before sleep. Breakfast is average and there's no juice and only cold and hot water with tea bags are available, had only very small portion of meat and no sausage, no omlet but only boiled egg. The most negative part was that the Internet was so slow and even some foreign websites were not accessible at all. Overall it is not bad but there's much to improve and not competitive with other hotels in Ankara.

The location is amazing,very safe place and 1 minute walk distance to most popular avenue.Rooms are extra clean and luxury.I will definitely visit this place again as we enjoyed king room as a couple,however day shift reception staff were not happy to work as it was obvious from their behaviour, no welcoming, we entered the hotel and negatively they asked our IDs. No information given, no bellboy offered, and when we entered the reception they didn't even ask or tell anything as i told them that we had reservation.So nothing asked like 'how can i help you?' In this kind of quality hotels i wasn't expecting this.Moreover,they didn't even tell us our floor so i guessed it from the number on our card! During their shift all they did were staring at us badly when we were going in and out.Housekeeping lady were much more positive and helpful.After we checked in to our room approximately 30 minutes passed and i couldn't connect to wi-fi so i called reception and what they told me was they didn't start our check-in procedure into system so i should wait to connect wi-fi, what i mean here is we didn't see any guests checking in , hotel was not crowded and of course i thought that after they got our info and let us go to room of course check-in procedure should finish but what i heard was they didn't even start it. Another thing i should add here is , our room wasn't prepared for us as it had no complimentary water, no shampoo/shower gel, no towels. Thanksfully housekeeping lady found it out and brought us everything after half an hour passed from our checkin, i guess again it's receptionists mistake.Night time staff in the reception were much better and positive.Apart from that it is well located,close to embassies and attractions,well equipped rooms with real luxury and high tech.Enjoyed every minute of our stay in the room and the view as well! Already recommended to friends who will visit Ankara.

We had a fantastic time in Hotel Farabi In ANKARA. Staff were so kind to us. Every question that we had, were answered quickly by the hotel members. You can have delicious breakfast there. And, every thing in this hotel is safe. In addition, I have impressed by the way the receptions guide you about the questions that you may have both in the Hotel and the city.

from September to the end of November I stayed at the Cassiel Hotel. The room including the bed was very comfortable, clean and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Extra big compliment for the receptionist Irem she is very service oriented and helpful. Staff work together in a nice way and made an impression on me like one big family. Since I am a fussy eater I could ask every day to make food to my taste. Pleasant conversations and I saw that many visitors also had a good time. The hotel is recommended for people who travel alone, for business people and especially for families who are passing through. My next visit in Ankara I will definitely choose Cassiel Hotel.

The English-speaking guy at the front desk was very enthusiastic and introduced me to the restaurant opposite for dinner. It was great. I haven't had such delicious mutton soup in a long time. The front desk also helped me print out my next trip itinerary. Thank you very much. If I come to Ankara next time, I will stay here again.

Thanks to the Staff of the Hotel. My mom and I were there only a few hours. We made a stairway in Ankara to meet the city, because that same day afternoon-night we traveled to Capadocia. The Staff was super friendly. All of the staff. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. We were just bathing and resting a little. The staff at the reception was friendly, the hotel was quite dirty, the room was a little cleaner but you saw on the mirrors that was not clean with water (sliding everywhere).After all, the bedwax was clean. Unfortunately, only 1 towel was provided for 2 people but a few more was delivered on demand. Air conditioning did not go and there was nothing happening on demand. It is very noisy at night because of the nearby bars and therefore it is hard to think of sleep until about 1.30 morning. However, top is the location directly at the pedestrian area and there were parking spaces on the ground.

First of all, the restaurant downstairs for 24 hours tastes very good. The pizza ordered is better than the pizza restaurant. There are also barbecues, and burgers, which are very delicious. Drive to Cappadocia by car to Ankara, and stay at this hotel. The double room is fixed, but the hotel reception has arranged a room with a big bed and a small bed, not a crowded one. The location of the hotel is not big but you can park for free. Just give the key to the younger brother. Breakfast is also very rich. The focus is that the hotel is only a few minutes walk from the Wuyang Hotel. His family's beef fabric is very good, and our children like it very much.

Let me tell you this, the rooms are small! My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights, it was clean and lots of restaurants nearby. the only problem with hygiene was that one of the pillows smelled cigarettes and they changed it quickly and The safe didn't work, the Air conditioner didn't work (no cool but heat worked) and the shower head was broken. the breakfast was ok and it had a good variety. I was satisfied with the breakfast. they were kind enough to offer us 3 breakfast meals instead of two, without extra charge. The reception was ok although they didn't speak English well, they kinda could understand but don't expect too much. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was good compared to the services and location. Generally, it was ok and I was satisfied. now that I'm writing this review, I've already changed 3 hotels and Asrin was the first one. the main reason we had to change from Asrin was that we had more than two pieces of luggage and the room was not big enough.
