My family and I checked into this hotel, which is actually an Econo Lodge Inn & Suites West - Energy Corridor, at 9pm on May 28, 2019, after a long day of sightseeing. We just wanted to check in and go to sleep. I booked a 2-queen bed, NON-smoking room. We were give Room #222. We walked in and it STANK of smoke. I went back to the front desk and asked for another NON-smoking room. We were given Room #231 and it too STANK of smoke. So we went back to the front desk. The only other non-smoking room available was a single king bed with a fold out sofa, which was not what we needed. Since EconoLodge was not able to provide the room that I had booked, I asked for a refund. The manager advised that since the room was booked through Hotels.com it need to be refunded by Hotels.com. So, I called Hotels.com while my husband called around for a room at other hotels. The Hotels.com representative understood my complaint and put me on hold while she reached out to the hotel manager to get his perspective on the situation. He confirmed that we had been in 2 rooms and we smelled cigarette smoke and that we had requested a refund and left (so did not use our reservation); BUT he would not refund our stay. Since EconoLodge would not refund Hotel.com, Hotels.com could not refund me. So EconoLodge took my money! They should not be paid for a room they sold that they could not provide! It is a scam! DO NOT BOOK HERE! AVOID!

Holy. Moly. I have stayed in some less then stellar places before, but this one takes the cake on a silver platter. 1. Their pet deposit is $50 per animal, per night!! That means for my 2 well behaved dogs it costs me an additional $100 per night. That is ridiculous since every other hotel I have stayed at was at most $25 per night. 2. The receptionist was incredibly rude and unhelpful, then flat out told both myself and our employee’s wife that they did not have rooms with 2 beds, nor explained the room assigned to my husband and I that our room did have a couch inside that their small children could have slept on. So imagine our surprise when once we had all checked in, we found that BOTH of our rooms did in fact have 2 beds each. 3. The outdoor swimming pool was closed due to Covid, however it was still incredibly nasty and horrifying. it was FILLED with leaves and trash, as well as the implement used to clean was it laying on the bottom of the pool, and the concrete surrounding the pool itself was green with algae. 4. Once we got to our room my wife and I found that our air conditioner BARELY cooled. 5. We also found that we had HARDLY and I do mean we BARELY had water warm enough to bathe in. It was really more lukewarm than warm, AND the controls were backwards AND it only stayed lukewarm for 10 minutes before going freezing cold. It took me 15 minutes to find lukewarm water for a 10 minute shower!! 6. The laundry room was IMPOSSIBLE to find, unmarked, and obscurely located on the second floor. There was also a complete lack of any staff to ask of it’s location nor were we told of it’s existence upon check-in. I searched for 30 minutes and then finally had to call the front desk (which CLOSED at 7 pm mind you) from my personal cell phone to ask for directions. Once I had managed to have my call answered, I was rudely told “it’s on the second floor,” before I was hung up on. 7. The same 2 huge bags of trash, plus the overflowing trash cans outside 2 different entrances were never emptied during the the 2 nights and 3 days we were here. 8. I had to call the front desk 3 different times over one hour, without anyone answering the phone before calling my employee to go and get my wife because we had an emergency going on at home. 9. Our bathroom was not only rather outdated, it was also chipped, cracked and generally damaged, as was the kitchen in my employee’s room. THAT ONE WAS TOTALLY MISSING 1 entire drawer face. Then, on the very last night, the elevator broke down and we were NOT told or even alerted to there being an additional one available!! 10. Once I had finally find the laundry room, I was immediately disgusted. My skin began crawling as it was FILTHY and it WAS NOT SUPPLIED with any helpful items, as in there were no soaps to purchase at all. 11. Outside, I also found an outlet box that was OPEN with a damaged and unplugged wire for “something”. 12. It was incredibly loud inside the rooms. Yes, it might b

So to start I tried calling the hotel at least ten times on May 10 the day of my arrival. The call would get disconnected when asking to connect to front desk or option 5. Eventually got thru and was ask to hold. Waited 9 min hung up and called back and got someone. Arrived at hotel late in the evening went to room. Tried to shower and the hand wand leaks profusely. Went to ice machine in floor 26 and it does not work. Went to the club lounge at 837 am and everything put away. My fault. So went to restaurant stood alone waiting for reception. Finally a waitress focusing on a bill asked how many I said 1 maybe 2 she said ok. Went back to working on her bill, then the waitress wakes away saying she would tell the hostess. The hostess comes back 2 min later asked how many I tell her and she says follow me. I do she sits me down and walks away comes back 3 min later to clean the crumbs on junk from the previous diner. As a titanium member and someone who picked this hotel to hold a group meeting I am very unimpressed. Two more days to go so we will se how it continues.

Houston’s best place to stay in my opinion. Avoid the airport hotels stay down in the galleria well worth it. Plenty of restaurants in the area, there’s a whole foods if you’re really hungry and you wanna get beers and just hang out in your room and stay on the more affordable level. But when I stayed around the Airport area for short overnights in business it’s absolutely miserable eating at kung fu food is the only decent restaurant near that airport in Houston.

What an awful hotel. Old, dated, noisy, and absolutely filthy common areas. Elevator broken and the hotel rooms are all hard surfaces from the cabinets to the floors and the place is a noisy, unrestful and distressful home away from home. Broken towel racks in the bathrooms and just in need of attention. I never met an employee over 18 years old here, where was leadership on a busy weekend.? Vintage Park the outdoor lifestyle center that is within walking distance (no sidewalks) is only 50% leased and is mostly dentists and eye care professionals ( a few good restaurants Brix) that's it! Will NEVER go back and we were with a group and everyone had the same feedback. DON'T LET THEM OUT YOU IN A CONNECTING ROOM! Just an awful, awful old property. Shame on you Starwood

I came to Houston for funeral and booked through trip.com I will tell everybody I know that this company is horrible and will not provide professional customer service or even compensation after all of the hassle. I will go through anyone else but this company. They need to go out of business. I've never been upset so many times because a booking company took my money and left me in a bind.

Have been staying at Royal Sonesta Houston for business trips for couple of years. First trip since covid and was very glad to say that the service standards have been as remarkable as I remembered. The whole building smelled and was musty. The room did the job but the basis of my horrendous rating was the treatment I received from the manager (owner?). When I showed up at 8:45 he didn’t tell me the parking lot they use 4 blocks away closes their gate at 9pm. So when I went back down at 9:05 to ask for directions to the lot, his son (and assistant?) told me “you won’t be able to park there anyway.” On the bright side there’s plenty of free street parking 6pm-7am. The downside, I had to wake up at 7am to move the car. But the cherry on top of a 3 star stay which turned it into 1, was that as I loaded my last bag into the car, and saw the manager outside I asked to check out, he then proceeds to start accusing me of flooding our room and causing a leak through, not only the room, but exterior of the building and “ruining” his truck. I asked him how I was responsible for the buildings plumbing and he walked up to the room with me and then said “this has never happened before! You overflowed the tub!” I said we only took showers, to which he responded “you don’t use shower curtain?!” Then he rubs the floor with his hand and it was moist due to the shower I had taken that morning and the steam buildup due to the lack of fan in the bathroom. I was taken back simply because I have never seen, experienced or heard of a hotel guest being treated this way. Receiving angry accusations out of nowhere simply as I packed my car. Next time I’m in Houston I will save my money and have a much more pleasant stay at a Motel 6 or Super 8.

pros: friendly staff, corner suite had big spacious room and spacious bathroom. big window- no complaints about the room at all. 2 big cons: room service menu is small and the hours are bad. i wanted to order dinner at 9pm only to find that they stop room service at 6pm on weekdays and 7pm on weekends. i guess they assume that guests will just physically go to one of the many restuarants in the area. however, given the pandemic, i would've much rather ordered a full hot meal to my room. in the morning when i ordered breakfast to my room, it arrived in a plastic box, in a paper bag. one of the great joys of staying at a nice hotel is ordering good food and it arriving on a warm plate, on a tray with utensils so you can eat in bed. this was the opposite. this was like getting take out from drive thru. i am not sure if this was a covid protocol to not use real plates/forks/glasses, but it really cheapens the hotel to me. the other big con- the internet is super slow and though the hotel says the wifi is free, it actually is only free if you sign up to be a member of the marriot rewards club. even then, they STILL charge if you want your internet to be high-speed. otherwise, you get super slow 'regular' internet. this is just really stupid. it is 2022. why do you even have various speeds of internet? it should all be high speed and it should all be free like all the other hotels do. nickel and diming guests at a 4 star property seems really distasteful to me. the staff that was there was super helpful and nice, but when i tried to call the front desk, there was multiple times where no one answered the phone. it made me wonder if this property was understaffed. this is the second time that i've felt that a marriot hotel doesnt live up to its 4star rating. i wish that corporate would put more work/money into making these properties into actual upscale hotels. doggy bag room service and charging for wifi is just really tacky.

My laptop was broken and i relied on the business center to do some work. While i generally do not use public wifi, i was confident in the ability offline to securely create, print and store material on a flashdrive. The two work stations were in good working order. Several other guests utilized the equipment printing boarding passes and accessing email while i completed my tasks. Providing this service is a customer service necessity i rely on from hotels, and i am grateful to Hobby BW. p.s. The room was quiet and very comfortable, and the coffee/breakfast was tasty. While airport hotels around Hobby appear rundown, this BW was clean and parking lot secure.

The room has two double beds and a sofa bed. The size of the double bed is a bit small, and it will be a little crowded to sleep for two adults. It is okay to pull the sofa out and sit on the bed and sleep for two people. There is a microwave in the room, no cooking utensils and cutlery, it is difficult to cook, only the microwave oven can simply heat the microwave food. Hotel breakfast is an ordinary American breakfast bar, but there are not many varieties, but the fruit coffee yoghurt eggs are very complete, and there is no problem to eat. The hotel is in the downtown area, and there are some tramps around in the evening. It is best not to go out late. The three hotels are connected together and they will enter the wrong hotel if they are not careful.

On 2/7/2022 I made a reservation online for a 10 night stay at the Hampton Inn Houston-Katy. On 3/8/2022, I modified the reservation to a one night stay. Upon checking in on 4/13/2022 at around 11 pm, Brenden confirmed that we would only be staying for the one night. On 4/14/2022, we left the hotel. No belonging were left in our room. Since covid, we have been receiving our receipts via email for our records. We left the keys at the hotel and thought nothing was out the norm. I realized that in the afternoon, I had not received my receipt. I checked my credit card statement and saw two charges from Hampton, $207.93 and $1465.84. I contacted customer assistance who directed me straight to the hotel. The manager, Stephanie refuses to refund the money. She called me a "lier" (her words) and said that when we checked in we directed Brenden to change the reservation to ten days. She also said that belongings were left in the room. I assure you that neither is true. If we were staying 10 days, I would have modified the reservation to make sure we would have a room a head of check in. In stead of just admitting to making an honest mistake, she insulted my integrity and has basically stolen my money for services I never wanted or approved. I have the confirmation to confirm the stay of one night only. There were no belongs left. When I looked at my reservation on my phone on 4/13 it was one night. They deliberated changed it to 10 and are calling me the lier. I assure you that any future stays will be at the Comfort Inn. I want my funds refunded to my card, but I am still waiting on a call back.... not holding my breath. They seem to manipulate the truth and insult customers.

Breakfast is actually misleading, especially for mainland customers. What is it? Coffee, packaged instant oatmeal, granola bars. That's all. Please, don't call it "breakfast", okay? Ctrip's big brothers, don't care about your compatriots, okay? There are free cars. There are a lot of rooms, with more than 30 square meters. It seems that an extra bed can be added, but a certificate is required. If you want to go to the Medical Center and have a car, it is an ideal location. There is a Fiesta supermarket nearby, very popular. Unknown how to bring children? There are a lot of rooms for the children to move around.

The positives of this hotel are its convenient location to the Greenway Plaza (my firm has an office location in this area so it is easily walkable) and the front desk staff are friendly, professional and polite. Check in and check out were fast and efficient. The negatives of this hotel are with the actual rooms. The hotel rooms are in desperate need of a renovation or a refresh. It feels like staying in a hotel from the 1990s. The walls in the hotel room and the bathroom were marked up / scuffed up. The ceiling in the toilet/shower area had obvious water damage that has yet to be repaired, most likely from a water leak in the bathroom in the hotel room on the floor above. Even the ceiling in the sink area of the bathroom was dirty and needed a wipe-down as there were hairs stuck in various spots all over the ceiling. Also, be aware that this hotel is very close to the interstate (I-69), so while it is convenient for accessing the highway, there isn't much soundproofing in the rooms so you'll hear the highway traffic noise throughout the day and night. Light sleepers will definitely need earplugs to help reduce the noise somewhat while you sleep.

The Not-So-Good: After viewing the pictures and reading the reviews, we decided on a last-minute "Staycation" here in Houston at Hotel Alessandra. The pictures made the place seem very high class, the rooms incredibly spacious, and the bathrooms gorgeous and oversized. We opted for the Executive Suite, as this appeared to be a large room with a large soaking tub that had a view out the windows if you so chose to leave the curtains open. Wow, we're we MISTAKEN. My wife, who is 5'6" could not even stretch her legs out straight in front of her once seated in the tub. Not to mention, the width of the tub was barely two feet wide. We are both athletic in build, but there's no way my 6'3" body could have fit in there. Perhaps if the goal was to bathe a small child, this is an appropriate size for a modern day hotel room, but not for normal-sized adults. Similarly, the shower was barely big enough for one person, as I constantly found myself smacking my elbows into the walls and door while washing up. Bathroom privacy for the water closet is pretty much impossible, as it's a glass door with a small mirrored accordion door that separates the bathroom from the bedroom portion of the suite. While there are heavy blackout curtains that can be drawn across the windows, the fact that there is no valence to block the sunlight that streamed into our room where the curtains met the ceiling made for a very unwelcome morning after a late night out. The DirecTV box constantly locked up through our visit, requiring me to power it off and reboot it by moving the tv away from the wall on its stand. Luckily, I have DirecTV at home, so I knew what was wrong when I was constantly met with the "No Signal" when turning on the tv. $40+ per day for valet parking is beyond stupid! Note also that it's not a quiet hotel based on its location downtown. All weekend long you could hear the typical "muscle car" engine revving and music blasting at every stoplight in the area. OMG, I almost forgot one of the biggest pet peeves!!! NO TRASH CANS TO BE FOUND ANYWHERE!!!! Evidently, this is a new cost-cutting feature of many hotels, as they believe if you don't have anywhere to place your refuse, you won't make as much for the cleaning staff to have to take away, hence cutting down on the time-per-room that they spend in there. We ended up using one of the plastic dry cleaning bags to stuff our trash in. Upon packing to checkout, my wife DID notice that inside the minibar, there is a bottom drawer labeled "refuse" (I think) which contained the world's tiniest trash can. Are you serious?!?!? The Good: In-room coffee makers are nice, though I guess we aren't fans of the flavors that are offered as we both thought they were "meh", at best. Still, it's nice to HAVE the machines there. The bed and linens were comfortable, but nothing to write home about. The check-in experience was pleasant, as was the check-out at the front desk

Like a motel, the room is large, clean, and fully equipped, but because it is close to the highway, there is a car driving overnight. If the sleep is estimated to be a bit noisy, I feel that it is okay after living for 6 days. The only thing I am not happy with is that the breakfast content is too small, but the price is cheap and acceptable.

Did not have breakfast, eat a few days each person 12 knives a day, children half price. Self-service, average American breakfast. Not expensive or cheap. It is not convenient to have no car in the United States. So staying here is much cheaper than downtown. Drive to the museum area, follow the morning peak for about 40min-1h, and go to the space center for about 1.2-1.5h. Can be tollway, less than 2.5 knives for each of the 7 seats, not expensive, take the right cash channel, below 20 can be zero. Houston is planning very well, the museum areas are all together, naturally, children are close.

We arrived at the hotel via the airport shuttle transportation which went well. The hotel itself was older but seemed to be maintained fairly well. We checked into the hotel later in the evening so we were very tired. We looked the room over quickly and went to bed. When we woke up the next morning my sons bag was covered with bugs. They were crawling all over the floor in the area and the wall where my son sat his bag the night before. Upon checking out i mentioned the issue to the front desk staff however i did not feel that they seemed too concerned. The response I got was "oh sorry about that". Then she went back to doing what she was doing. I feel that a bug issue is a very big concern and someone should have been sent to the room right away to check out the issue. If in the area again I would likely choose another hotel.

Rooms are very out dated. You would think you're Bewarestaying in a Motel rather thana Best Western Plus. I teavel for Businessso I stay in the Best WesternHotels 5 days a week. Ive been doing that for the last six months and my stay at that particular property was by far my worst guest experiencein all my years of staying in a Hotel!!!!! I can't name not one good thing about that property. Well the Exterior of the building looks good. They put a face lift on a out dated unclean property. The lady that's at yeh front desk made me wait for my cash deposit for at least 30min. She Ignores me and continued to do other things while I wait and I told her I'm running late for work. She stayed I can have a set until she calls someone to got check my room on the third floor be9she give me back my deposit. She made sure she took her time doing it. I had o call the corporate office standing at the front desk. Se then hurried the process up just a little. I'm sure she is probably a relative of the property owner or GM because she wasn't concerned at all about being reported. You can hear people walking and talking all night. Walls are super thin and floors are old and hollow. I literally heard every step the people above me took and the entire pillow talk conversation of the people n the room next to me. Awful!!!
