To reach rooms in the PRISCIANI palace only stairs are available no elevator.Our style of interior decorating?       We did really consider this hotel until the very last minute as I was a bit worried about it being a typical bland Mercure and was hoping to stay in a place full of character since Ferrara was a medieval town. But we were quite surprised by what we were treated to. This is a Mercure unlike any other and comes with enough character. A great value for money and excellent option in Ferrara LOCATION: Fantastic location right next to the Castle with spectacular views of it DINE + DRINK: Didnt eat or drink in the hotel, so cannot comment ROOM: We stayed in 340, so this review is based on that; VIEW: stunning views of the Castle from the balcony ; SIZE: This was a huge LOFT based suite, so there was plenty of room divided between multiple spaces that were all tastefully decorated. The highlight was the excellent terrace balcony that came loaded with million dollar views of the castle; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Good spa quality cosmetics FACILITIES: No Gym or pool on site. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Small Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment BUT NONE OF THEM WERE IN ENGLISH! A huge downer. But then hey, you are in a historic city to explore whats outside and not whats on the television. So we were ok with it.

      Excellent quality-price ratio. Quiet and central location in a charming structure. We have stayed in five in the suite on the ground floor very comfortable with relaxing indoor courtyard. We had only telephone contacts with staff, always friendly and efficient. At our arrival they also paid the parking distance (6€/day), outside the ZTL area but still at 10' foot. Recommended.

Breakfast was plenty and tasty, also The sale Bus tickets. 2 min walk to the castle and 5-15 min walks to everywhere. The city offer the little train tour which is awesome.

      The hotel is located in the outskirts of the city center but it is very convenient if one is traveling by car. To arrive to downtown one needs around 15 minutes on foot. Fine for us. One can see that it had been a very elegant place, unfortunately right now needs renovation. Some things of our room were not in good condition. The heating system was not working properly but fortunately the people from the reception sent someone to fix it. We had too a little inconvenient with some kids that were making a lot of noise making it impossible to sleep. Again the problem was solved. It would say that the most outstanding offer of the hotel is the helpfulness and friendliness of some people in the reception area .There is a guy who is fantastic and I am so sorry that I can’t remember his name. The breakfast was ok. Investing some money to renovating it would be a fantastic idea!!!
