Whilst not a classic hotel, Unicum is the perfect place for a couple to explore the wonderful city of Rome. Massive room, excellent shower and sauna system, superb breakfast served to our room at the time we chose the night before. Very comfortable large bed and even a private terrace. The check in process was so easy, we got a text the day we travelled to let us know we should message 30 minutes before our arrival at the hotel. A good tip here, download what’s app and this process is simple Whenever we messaged for any reason the response was immediate. Unicum is so central, you can explore all the major sites of interest in Central Rome on foot, brilliant. We would not hesitate to recommend Unicum Campio Marzio to anyone, we had a fantastic week.

The Relais Leone is perhaps in the best location in central Rome. This is a place for those of us who hate hotel lobbies, and want to be able to come and go without seeing 50 other guests gathered in a lobby. I travel 90% for business, and when I travel for pleasure I seek a small hotel. Relais Leone is a hotel that has no restaurant (perfect because this is ROME!!!) and feels like your own private bedroom in the most perfect private location. Stay here if that appeals to you. You have everything you need here, minibar, fabulous shower, a separate great bathtub with LUSH bombs, comfortable bed, and everything a hotel should have for you. You don't have a crazy lobby, crowds, or a doorman. You have a combination to enter/ an elevator (small) to the 3rd floor, and a small private area with only a few bedrooms. Perfect. Private. Nobody to bother you. Outside on the street you are only a few steps from the best coffee, gelato, food, and drinks on the piazza. I have been to Rome and stayed in the most expensive (Hassler) and the worst. This was the best!

The room is quite big and really clean. There is space for up to 4 People. The price is more than reasonable. the location of the teichnersuite is simply priceless! You can reach many sightseeing spots such as the Colosseum, the spanish stairs, the vatican, Piazza Venezia, the zoo and many more within max. 30 minutes by feet. we just needed a cab to get there and back from/to the Airport. No metro, no bus, no rental car needed once you're there. For all the shopaholics among us countless shops for every Budget are located at the street in front of the door (via del Corso). Even some grocery stores for drinks or snacks are closeby. I highly recommend this place!

We arrived at Campo Marzio Luxury Suites after a walk from Roma Termini. The front door is discrete. There was no one on reception so we rang the door bell and waited about 5 mins for someone to answer. The staff who greeted us were pleasant and showed us to our room. We stayed in Adriano. The room was small but the bed was large and comfortable. The shower was fine except it wasn’t very hot. Generally, the room was ok. I found the online pictures deceptive. After arriving in our room, one of the staff bought us some Prosecco and crisps, which was a nice touch. We were only there for the weekend and didn’t spend much time in the room. I would say though, there are no hot drink facilities in the room and the tv barely worked. If you wanted a coffee, there was a machine in the communal area but you had to pay €1 to use it, which we thought was naughty. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. We paid £394 to stay 3 nights, which is expensive for a small room. They ran out of yoghurts on the first day, the bread and croissants were stale and there were no bananas throughout. It was completely lacklustre. This place has the potential to be brilliant but the lack of attention to detail really lets it down. If you’re not bothered about breakfast etc. It is in a great location.

The level of service from the staff at JK place, would put most hotels to shame! Attentive, but not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. Our initial room (a JK Deluxe) was very nice, but had internal views and frosted glass windows. As light sleepers we found it a tad noisy during the night and the Hotel gladly moved us to a different room on a higher floor. We were presented with a small bottle of Spumante and fruit plate. The well stocked mini bar was also complimentary, which is a nice touch. Food was excellent within the hotel (breakfast and lunch) and the Hotel readily made suggestions for other restaurants in the city and made reservations. The location was ideal for city break travellers with many attractions and more importantly shops, within easy walking distance. Yes, it’s (reassuringly) expensive, and in my opinion worthy of the price. Would we recommend, YES!

Our room here was very beautiful and spacious with a big comfortable bed, plenty of closet space and a very nice bathroom. The host Gabriella and her staff helped us make an itinerary for Rome, brought us a delicious breakfast every morning and all around really made us feel at home. The location of approdo ripetta was so good that we were able to walk almost everywhere in central Rome with no problem, we didn't even take one bus. This place is around a 10 minute walk or less from the Vatican, The Pantheon, and piazza Navona. The only major landmark that's a little far to walk to at around 2.5 kilometers is the colloseum. All around this place gave us an amazing experience and great value for our money. I highly recommend this place and I really don't think you'll be disappointed. P.S Aproddo ripetta is a minute away and on the same street as Alfredo restaurant, The birthplace of the Original fettuccine Alfredo. Aka best pasta ever.😉

This is a lovely place to stay while in Rome. The staff is friendly and helpful, the property charming, beautiful, and clean, and it is in an excellent location. We stayed for one night and I have very few complaints (that seems too strong of a word actually), but there were a few things that bothered me. First, I opted for breakfast, a service I believe they recently started. It was the only time in two weeks I spent in Italy where I was not served freshly squeezed orange juice! It was a pale yellow color and very sour, the kind you get from a grocery store container. The breakfast consisted of a ton of breads, a yogurt, and a small container of fruit salad. Everything was good, but I was anticipating at least some form of protein, and at least fresh OJ! I also was disappointed in the beds, as the two twin beds in the second room did not have any padding (the main bed did) and were hard as rocks! We were a party of four adults, but even if kids had slept there, for the price, I would want all the beds to be equally dressed. I was expecting a luxurious sleep and filling breakfast before my 14 hour flight, but instead woke-up aching and left hungry. I also suggest adding conditioner and body lotion to the bathroom amenities, as that is common in luxury hotels of this caliber. These easy changes would have made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

My wife and I usually stay at hotels one price class below Vilon, but after 3 months in Covid lock-down we wanted to splurge on a truly exclusive experience while on a city trip to Rome in June 2020. We were not disappointed. We spent 3 nights at Vilon and everything was perfect - the interior decoration of the room and dining areas (tasteful and timeless, with a lovely breakfast room and interior court yard, mid-century furniture, plants and art everywhere), the location (within walking distance of the Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Borghese park) and perhaps most of all the excellent service (exceedingly attentive, polite, friendly and knowledgeable). Breakfast was lovely and dinner at the restaurant (Adelaide) the best meal we had while in Rome, and reasonably priced. We hope to come back to Rome soon - we were not able to visit the Colosseum and Vatican Galleries this time as tickets were in limited supply due to Covid - and will definitely stay at Vilon again when we do. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so special.

This guest house is perfect for a short stay in Rome, we loved every minute of our trip here. Joseph the host is a lovely man and does anything and everything to make sure you are comfortable and happy. We had a large room with an en suite with gorgeous doors that opened onto the balcony overlooking the square below. Our room was light and airy and very comfortable. The only small issue we had was on the last night of our trip our toilet had plumbing issues and we were unable to use the toilet and shower but we could use the toilet out in the reception area. The breakfast was great, each day it was setup for you with biscuits, cakes, croissants, coffee, tea, juice, fresh fruit, yoghurts, cereal (everything you need!). It was a perfect location, we walked everywhere from here and didn't use any transport during our trip. The guest house organised pick up from the airport as well which was super helpful! All in all it made our stay in Rome even more enjoyable, would 100% stay again.

FENDI's first concept hotel in the world is more like a lifestyle experience hall. A full set of Fendi Casa, Karl Lagerfeld photography works, unique lamps, fur stitching, artwork... Because the hotel has only 7 suites, and they are all located on the same floor, it feels more at home, and the public space is more like a big house The living room, corridor, living room...a bit of living under the same roof, the decoration details are very exquisite, and it beats the Armani hotel🤘 The only problem is that there are no children's slippers, toothbrushes, etc., the bar on the top floor is like a nightclub, and children are not allowed to enter...

Perfect location, especially if you arrive from the train station, so you can directly leave your luggage and walk in the biggest open hair museum: Rome! The hotel is very modern and new! The twin bedroom was equipped with all the facilities and spacious and spot clean. The Staff and the property are very well prepared and following the new Covid safety procedures. A special thanks to the reception team, the super funny guy that welcomed me and my friend upon arrival and the amazing lady that was there upon check out. Keep it up with the great job and I’ll see you on my next visit, Ciao

Stayed here for 2 nights. Arrived late gone 10pm pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was still open lovely food. Also offered a snack menu if we wanted to eat after 10.30pm. Very lovely bar and chill out areasThe room was immaculate with a very decent bath and shower. Breakfast was continental but plenty of it. 20 minute bus ride into central of Rome. €12.00 euros ticket covers 48hours and can be used on all public transport. We used the bus, train and tram. Restaurants in Rome all charge for sides i.e. veg or salad etc. Eat in the ones way from the main attractions by a couple of streets. Wear trainers as you end up walking alot and pack a travel umbrella. Stayed 2 days and saw loads Night time was a magical atmosphere everything lit up.

Though the beds need to be updated, the room was big, and the location was perfect as it was close to the terminal. However, the city tax they charge was quite expensive. The hallway set up was a little confusing at first but not too bad. One hallway was a little creepy though; and the spa seems to open late and close early. The staff were nice and love the rooftop bar.

We were planning a stay in a Rome prior to our cruise and selected The Hassler due to its pre-cruise package - a great deal. We took advantage of the personal assistant at the airport and the hotel transfer and felt like VIP’s. Very welcome after our long overnight flight from the US. The assistant insisted on handling our bags for us and getting us through some airport construction to find our driver. All seamless. We spent 6 lovely nights at The Hassler in early Feb 2020. The staff were so friendly and accommodating from the time we entered the hotel treating us like frequent returning customers. We were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Spanish Steps and what a view! A very comfy bed, too. We enjoyed a few meals in Salone Eva and enjoyed great food and impeccable service. Such friendly staff who made certain we were happy with everything from our drink orders to our food. The buffet breakfast was really good, too, with a wide variety of selections and the same service in a beautiful dining room. So many friendly people who pampered us and made us feel like we were the most important people there. We loved their Amorvero body lotion and wish we could buy it online but unable to find it anywhere. Our transfer to Civitavecchia took us right to the cruise terminal and helped us get our bags dropped off with the handlers. All top notch service. We hope to return here in the future to enjoy the luxury of the Hassler. This was the best service we have ever experienced and heartily recommend staying at this hotel. You won’t be disappointed.

We travelled as a family of 2 Adults & 2 Children. Most part of our trip to Europe we were all in 1 room, however at Rome we had booked a quad room with connecting doors, and this was amazing for all family members to have a bigger space. Both rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Beds & pillows super comfortable, wifi works great. In the main room there was an amazing space to do your make up each morning with a mirror and lights, lighting needs to be a little brighter but great to have own area. Breakfast was only 9€ and quite a big selection, both of my fussy eaters enjoyed! The waitress was lovely and kind. Walking distance to everything - we chose to walk over the city as everything is walking distance and you get to see more, however HoHo bus stops are close, and walking distance to Terminal train station. I would 100% stay here again, and recommend this hotel to anyone! Also a mention to the staff in reception, who were very kind with check out! Great hotel, stay here!

Monti
We stayed at the Monti Palace Hotel for a week in September. It is worth saying this was during the coronavirus pandemic so Rome was very quiet although case numbers in Italy were low. Firstly, the positives:- Location - hotel is right on top of the metro station which is very convenient. Note that you have to change at termini for several locations in central Rome. 20 min walk from Trevi fountain or pantheon, 10 mins to forum and colosseum. Small supermarket directly across the street and lots of restaurants in the local vicinity. We had good, cheap food at La Base, Ai Tre Scalani and Iari the Vino. Check in - we arrived at 12:30 and were informed the room was ready - much appreciated after an early start. We were told we had been upgraded to a superior room but that is the room type we had booked (and shows on our booking confirmation) No problem so we didn’t say anything but a bit odd to say we had been upgraded. We also requested a high floor to be away from the road noise and were put on the top floor for rooms. Room - room was a good size and overall very clean. The bathroom in particular was lovely. Housekeeping did a very thorough job each day. Air con was great and the bed was very comfy. But, see below the negative points The not so good things:- Breakfast - was included in our rate (not free included in the price!) it was pretty dire to be honest. I know with covid it is difficult but can’t understand why they couldn’t offer toast (we specifically asked on the form you fill in, in both English and Italian and were given bread), or why fruit such as a banana couldn’t be offered. We had the bacon one day - was the soggiest bacon I’ve ever seen and arrived in less than 2 mins so I assume was microwaved? Conversely the croissants are cold and from a packet. I understand it is a really hard time but I do think they could be doing better. The water and juice was good. Reception - usually very good but I did ask one member of staff if I could pay to print out some tickets for the colosseum we had booked last minute. He said only from 2pm which I thought was very odd (and too late for us!) seemed like he just couldn’t be bothered and his colleague would be on the desk by 2pm. The lift also seemed to smell really bad every time we used it. Light switches - the one anomaly in otherwise a very clean hotel. The light switches were filthy - really disgusting, looked like they’d never been cleaned and this applied to all of them - the two by the bed, the bathroom and by the main door to the room (pics attached). Storage - the room has been designed by a designer rather than by someone who has actually tried staying in the room! We had the largest size of room and it had one single wardrobe maybe 2.5ft wide - with a rail, and two shelves (there was another shelf but well out of reach). Half of one of the shelves was taken up by the safe. There was no other storage in the room other than open surfaces eg. table, bench by door. There wasn’t a si
