When looking for a place to evacuate to due to Hurricane Ida we were looking for pet friendly hotels. The Motel 6 Biloxi Beach is pet friendly so we booked two rooms. Being pet friendly is definitely a positive. However, that is about all I can write that is positive about this hotel. The hotel states it was recently renovated. Some parts looks like it needs some serious renovations again. It was not secure because the key cards did not work in most of the outside doors. However, there was one door that was always open so people could come and go. The rooms were very small and basic. The hallways smelled of **** the whole six days we were there. And the majority of rooms are non-smoking. Some of the staff were very nice but were overwhelmed due to staff shortages. The garbage cans were overflowing. They did have an area where you could walk your dogs but no poop bags. There was poop all over the place. As I began this review I was glad they were there to accommodate our pets, but this hotel is in need of serious upgrades and change in management. What was also disturbing was that the nightly rates as it got closer to Labor Day was over $200.00. I met some very nice people while we were there. Many who were low income and had serious damage to their homes due to Ida. But many told me they could not afford the rate being charged. Some told me they were just going to go home and stay in their damaged homes without any power because they did not have the money even for a Motel 6. Just the week before the rate was around $150.00. I know it was a holiday weekend but many staying at the hotel were evacuees. You would think they would have given them a break!!!

My return to 2414 Beach Blvd after 42 years..this is how it went. In 1979 I came here with my parents for a vacation. Second one actually, first one was in 1971. In 1979 I was 19 years old. For some reason I’ve wanted to visit Biloxi ever since, but never got around to it. I finally did. Although it’s currently a Quality Inn, decades ago it was the Admiral Benbow Inn. Upon my arrival last week I was warmly greeted by Daphne and Pearl. I told them of my history with the location and they could not have been more interested, accommodating and enthusiastic with my return. Obviously neither was around the last time, but they made me feel like a welcomed old friend. Here’s is an honest appraisal of the hotel as it exists today. It is an old property, although rebuilt a couple of times, but still in it’s original layout. It’s a beachfront property so expect a little wear and tear. The refrigerator, microwave, air conditioner all worked great. When I discovered the hairdryer didn’t, Pearl personally replaced it within the hour. And regarding water pressure issues noted by previous reviewers, I didn’t notice any problem. In all honesty, there’s nothing about this property that would stop me from coming back again. If the Southern Hospitality I encountered here last week is indicative of the employees mission, this place will be here another four decades. I’m coming back and I’m not waiting four decades to do so.

This place is in walking distance to the beach. Close to restaurants (Shaggy’s, Saulte’, Chimneys). We enjoyed walking to the beach and the restaurant options near by. There is a restaurant on site. During our stay, there appeared to be parties and other events so we did not eat there. We enjoyed renting beach chairs a close by. There were a couple of things that didn’t make it perfect. We were told the restaurant closed at 10p. On the Saturday, there was a bunch of commotion that carried well past 12a at the restaurant. No worries for us but could be bothersome for some. Especially because you could hear everything through the balcony and walls. Then the Sunday night, our neighbor was extra loud. Not the fault of the hotel. But he was hollering and playing music very loud. It could be head from our room. He was pretty obnoxious. All in all, this place has so much potential. We did enjoy our overall stay. The “Melinda” suite was nice and cozy. And the restaurants nearby were nice. Plus the beach is right there!! I would consider staying here again.

Wow! That’s the only thing I can think to say about just how bad my experience with this hotel was. My wife and I were traveling to southern Mississippi to attend my mother’s funeral nearby. We booked a single king room at this hotel, because it was close to the airport, and I had always associated the Fairfield name with nice quality hotels. I will not make that mistake again. We came in late, but I had called the hotel to verify my late check in and was told everything was fine with that. When we arrived, and got to our room, there were 2 double beds instead of a king. Being late and knowing we had a lot to do the next day in preparation for the funeral, we didn’t say anything about the mistake. We started to plug in our cell phones charge them overnight and found that almost all the electrical outlets in the room were so worn, that nothing would stay plugged into them without bending the prongs on our charger. Again, we made the best of it, and found the 2 in the room., that would actually work. The next morning, I got up to take a shower, and realized there were no bath towels in the room. I went to the desk to get some, and the clerk asked me if there had been towels when we got there. I am not sure what she thought we might have done with them when we arrived at 11:30 pm the night before, but I assured her that we had not seen them. The breakfast in the lobby was something they called a “take away” sack breakfast because they still had not got back to serving their regular breakfast foods. It consisted of a small bottle of water, an orange, and an incredibly old, stale granola bar. I also mentioned that the room we were in was not what we had reserved. The lady at the desk said she could try to change it, but there would be additional charges to move to a king room (which was what I had reserved in the first place). I showed her my reservation for a king room and the price listed in the reservation. She then said that the manager was the only person who could give me the room at that price. Since we would be out most of the day, she said to go ahead and take our things to make it easier when we got back, and they would make sure to get the correct room for us. Sometime during my mother’s funeral that day they called but did not leave a message. I was having dinner with my family before heading back to the hotel when they called me back to let me know that they should not have let me make the reservation to begin with, and they no longer had a room for us. No apologies, and no explanation other than they should not have let me reserve it in the first place. No offer to help us find other accommodations. Before I ever stay in another Fairfield, I will think about this hotel and look to see if there is any place else close by. If it happens to be in Gulfport, I can tell you where that will be… ……. just up the street, there is a Comfort Inn and Suites. When I got the call from Fairfield, I got on my phone to see if I could find a place to

A last minute trip to the coast had us searching for an inexpensive place to stay for a few days. The hotels along the gulf coast were ridiculously expensive, so we started looking for a room inland. Christina was so helpful and made sure we were satisfied with our room. Nothing fancy, clean comfortable bed, clean bathroom, coffee pot, mini fridge and microwave. One negative: the floor was vacuumed but needed a good mopping.

With six years of writing reviews, this is the first time I have competing thoughts as to happy experiences and not so happy realities going on at the same time during a stay a few weeks ago. I will make this brief .. Office staff attentive, bed very comfortable, beach access practically outside your door and Keesler AFB within a 5 minute drive, out from the back of the motel property, "NICE". Here is where the photos on-line DO NOT really reflect what you see or experience on site. Property is somewhat older and could use a deep clean, but I don't own the place to say this is possible ( ROOMS SLIGHTLY LESS SHINY/NEW? THAN PHOTOS INDICATE ). There is no BREAKFAST and you will be told this during check in, even though you may have already paid for that option during your booking ( SO IGNORE THE DINING ROOM/BREAKFAST NOOK PICTURES ). And most frustrating .. does staff/maintenance check a room before guest arrive, to make sure the plumbing/showers/drain work .. I had already unpacked for a three day stay and did not come back to my room till late the first night .. so, I "MacGyvered" my way out of not getting clean and brought the issues up at check out :P

Good. However housekeeping service would have been nice. No one ever took our linens from room during stay. When we called housekeeping clean ones were delivered but used ones never taken. Understand Covid has changed everything. Checkin and check out went well. Valet and bell service good too. Carpet needs cleaning in our room and hallways. Shopped in casino shops and staff nice in each one. Restaurants good. Sad that Terrace not open though.

Great place. Room was above average, clean and comfortable. Could have used better pillows, just my personal taste. We were on the top floor, best view especially at sunset. Breakfast was reasonably priced and very good. Pizza was also worth the money. Great drinks at the bar. Didn’t get a chance to use the pool or the arcade, but looks like a great place to keep the kiddos busy for a few hours. We did have any. Quite location within walking distance of two casinos and 5 minutes drive to others. Our first stay in Biloxi and happy we decided on this property.

From the minute we checked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our room was SPOTLESS. My husband is still talking about the amazing omelette he had for breakfast this morning. The front desk staff was the nicest we’ve seen anywhere in the past year. I chose this property because Hilton Garden Inns are generally “a step above.” THIS property is all the way up the ladder. It’s located across from the Gulf. There’s covered parking for Diamond members. I would have not been as happy, had I chosen another hotel. Easy walk to the Hard Rock, and Beau Rivage. There’s a cross bridge, very close to the hotel. We are staying three nights. Despite being full tonight, the entire hotel is VERY quiet. SO GRATEFUL for the entire staff, and that we had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property.
