|7.61km from city centerThe location is in the city center and travel is very convenient. The hotel service is very good, the breakfast is also varied, the price is good, it is the first choice for travel. There are many shopping malls and restaurants nearby, making it easy to eat.

|0.2km from city centerI booked two nights for my wife and I and her brother with his wife and two teenage children. This was ”the” hotel in the 60's and nothing much seemed to have changed. The room fridge was barely cooling and no posted prices on the fridge. The rooms are oddly layed out and the view was through large outside shutters which are needed for the intense sunlight. Air conditioning was good once housekeeping set it for me! TV adequate. Bath shower with nice tolietries. Room was spotless but dated. Bed was comfy. the pool on the third floor is very large, unheated but dangerous. All pre ADA stuff non existent. Water was clean. Everyone had a great time. There was also a very large amount of deck chairs and a great view of the park. This hotel is c the best location in downtown Asuncion. Food servive avaiable poolside at reasonable prices. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of fresh fruit. I ordered fried eggs and was charged about 50 cents each! The hotel staff was very friendly. Our 13 year old nephew was in heaven because soccer teams also stay here. Underground parking was an experience. We will stay here again on our return trip to Paraguay andenjoy the pool weather permitting.

|7.72km from city centerWe spent two days here after a week in the countryside. We were recognized as Spire Elite and upgraded to #601 as I requested because it has a view of the river. The room was spotless, comfy bed, large tub with a walk in shower. Huge selection of channels on the tv. Large swimming pool on five. The water was cold but clean. The club lounge is closed so breakfast was in the street level lounge as well as happy hour. Few guest because of the quarantine. Aureliano checked us in and the other ladies at reception were always helpful, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will stay here again when return. They take Coveid precautions serious.

|6.72km from city centerEarly check in [at noon on a group tour] was very much appreciated after long flights yesterday. The bed is hard which I like. Everything is clean save for the black hand print behind the nifty chair. No tea and coffee facilities in the room is a real negative. While there is java [coin operated; good grief] in reception, that area does not have the comfortable feel of the hotel across the road. There’s a stocked fridge which went unused like stocked fridges I have seen elsewhere in the world. The pool and Negroni bar on the 15th floor have a striking setting. Frustrating that area only opens at 0900; no sense. Even worse is when I tried to access the area at 0915 it was still locked; somebody did not get the memo. Four elevators certainly helped. The main floor restaurant Takuare’e was the breakfast venue, an ample buffet. The restaurant is quite large, as the hotel has some 300 rooms. For visitors, the surrounding area does have some nice neighbourhoods to walk but the city’s historic center is a cab ride away. Maybe the hotel did not completely live up to its name but it is a good option.

|6.64km from city centerWe stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is clean, tidy, well located and friendly staff. We had a twin room, which was of a good size. No slippers or bathrobes provided, you do have a kettle with a few teabags and one coffee pad (not sure why just one for two people). Small fridge and good working airco. Only negative was the sliding door to the toilet/shower, really hard to open from the toilet side. Rooftop pool had great views, nice bar for evening cocktails and a decent bar menu. Breakfast on the ground floor non exciting, very standard corporate hotel breakfast. Staff everywhere friendly and helpful. Reception can provide you with a map of Asuncion. We used Uber to get around, which worked fine Next to the hotel is Del Sol, a western shopping mall - airco and more restaurants

|12.23km from city centerGreat hotel, very cordial staff, very complete gift store (with even a messi signed shirt for the football fans), good breakfast and good restaurant overall. Only two things to keep in mind: since the hotel is not near the center of asuncion, if possible, rent a car if you are going to see the city as ubers will get expensive. Only downside to the hotel and more specifically the room: the TV was outdated and on the smaller side, but i still managed to watch sports and news with no worries

|7.08km from city centerOur stay at Sheraton started on the wrong foot although it might not have been the hotel’s fault. My Marriott Suite Night Award request was approved but when we arrived at the hotel we were told that suites were fully booked and they had no idea why my SNAs went through. So we stayed in a club room for the first night but were moved to the presidential suite on the second night and which was highly appreciated. The first room was an old generation Sheraton room: rough carpet, shower in tub, subpar soundproofing, toiletries were unbranded local stuff, also the bathroom door did not close properly and there was no lock. One positive was that the bed was unmistakably a Sheraton bed = comfortable. The presidential suite was equivalent to 4 normal rooms in terms of size according to the floor plan. It was still a fairly aging room but with the extra space it was very useful to us including our 18-month daughter who was very happy and could run around. Service was quite good during our stay with various staff members addressing us by name which is not that common at a hotel of Sheraton level which is not supposed to be considered luxury like Ritz Carlton or St.Regis. One manager was quite visible during our stay, she welcomed us at check-in, she was greeting guests in the restaurant for breakfast in the morning, same during happy hour in the lounge, and she also stopped by before our departure when we checked out. I also received an e-mail after our stay to inform us that they found one item in the room and asked if we wanted to send someone to pick it up. Most hotels don’t even bother with a “lost and found” service so kudos to Sheraton Asuncion. Regarding dining, happy hour in the lounge and breakfast in the restaurant were above average, and the in-room dining menu and prices were quite good relative to what we could find in the city including in the large shopping mall next door. I also noted that wifi was blazing fast at 350+ Mbps, one of the best I have seen anywhere in the world – not the kind of hotel where I would have guessed this to be the case. Overall this is not a new and modern hotel but when judging a hotel I always compare to the local competition. The other choices I noticed are an Aloft, an Ibis, a Holiday Inn Express, and a Crowne Plaza. Except for the latter I don’t think there are any other international hotel chains remotely close to the level of Sheraton and given the good service and dining, as Marriott Bonvoy Elite I would return to Sheraton.

|5.47km from city centerWe found this hotel on TripAdvisor of course, and were in town for business from abroad. Although this review is a little late—we stayed multiple times in 2021 in Jan and May/June—they operated flawlessly during the pandemic, and even remembered us when we came back months later! They have a Juan Valdez cafe in the lobby, which was appreciated as a coffee lover :) The rooms are spacious and modern, and the beds so comfy. We hope to return. Muchísimas Gracias Hotel Hub Asunción!!

|0.56km from city centerThe Palmaroga Hotel is my favorite hotel in downtown Asuncion. The historic building has been beautifully restored, the rooms are elegant and comfortable, the rooftop terrace with its poo and view is wonderful, and most importantly the staff are exceptional. The people who work at reception and at the door are always ready to greet guests warmly and to provide friendly and authentic service. The hotel has a good restaurant on site, a steakhouse next door, and is walking distance from many other excellent dining options. Within walking distance to all major points of interest in the downtown area. 10 puntos!

|5.85km from city centerI arrived on 12 th of march after flying over from europe. I spent the day exchanging money, had a tour around Asuncion, had dinner, and afterwards I just wanted to sleep. But sleeping is a no go in this hotel, because there is this bar Acuarela on the top, where the swimming pool is. And they play music so load, that the walls are shaking. I went up there to complain, but the music up there is so load, that you have to stick the finger in yout ears, and nobody understands you or wants to understand you anyway. I was really, really tired, but the basses were too loud. I tried to relax, but how can you relax with basses imitating fast heart beats. I hoped the music would stop at 12.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped it would stop at 1.00 o clock, but it did not. Then I hoped, it would stop at 3 o clock, but the music went on and on even harder than before. The discjockey probably is deaf. At 5 o clock I finally gave up hope, and got up, as I had to leave the hotel at 8 o clock anyway. Eventually I went down to have breakfast, where the next disappointment waited for me: No breakfast buffet at all, but just one waiter, you have to wait for. Eventually he finds the time to ask you what kind of coffee you want. And then you have to wait again, and all you get is a very small breakfast ( 1 small croissant, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of ham, jam and your coffee). Conclusion: Go somewhere else if you want to enjoy a good night s sleep. Avoid this hotel as it is not a hotel but a discothec.

|0.71km from city centerWe checked in and were given a room at the front. We had been up since very early in the morning and were tired by early evening but the room was very noisy due to a nightclub next door. We went to reception and asked the man on the desk to be moved to a quieter room - he told us the hotel was full and there were no rooms available. He really wasn't interested in what we had to say. We went back to the room and tried to sleep but the noise carried on until almost 6am. The room was also very shabby, dirty and run down. In the morning we went back to reception and a very helpful lady not only gave us the choice of rooms but also upgraded us to a suite. This room was at the back of the hotel so very quiet and very large; however the room was very grubby and run down- the net curtains were filthy along the bottom and the bed covers had stains on them. Swimming pool area is fine but only about half a dozen sunbeds and no shades for them though there are some tables and chairs to sit at. Breakfast was good. This hotel has the potential to be a lovely hotel but it needs a lot of upgrading and cleaning - they also need to get rid of the man on reception as he really isn't interested in the customers who are paying his wages.

|9.68km from city centerExcellent hotel, breakfast and swimming pools. A sadness that does not make a ”small investment, within the so much that he has already done”, in not putting ceilings on the cars, even if it is ”half shadow, because due to the very high temperatures, the guest's cars are many hours at the sun, And when you go up to them to walk to the midday or afternoon, they already have up to 60°, and the seats, the wheel, and all the vehicles with temperatures that really burn when touching them or feeling****. And don't talk about leaving something inside them (seats, bags), because they are lost immediately by their very high temperatures. At least ten or twenty of the cars that tech them, as several times, The hotel is the first hotel in its category, which I can't see protecting you from such an important capital from your guests. The hotel is a hotel that is very nice and very nice.
