Reasonably well located between north train station to the airport and of course walking distance to explore all of Paris. Friendly staff and interesting design, but a bit small.

Rooms were a bit smaller but other than that it was perfect!! Great suitcase storage too! We stayed in a double bedroom, felt small because we had 2 large suitcases in the way, great storage for clothes, the shower room was a bit small, but the shower was good to use! Thank you for your hospitality :) this was my first trip to paris

My wife and I and our two teen children stayed here for 9 nights in a quadruple room, i.e., a room with two full beds. Our experience was more pleasant than we could have imagined. First, the hotel is superbly managed. You are buzzed in instantly at the front door at all times. Maid service is excellent. The owner, François, a friendly and cultured fellow, is frequently at the front desk, and is a veritable font of valuable information, from transit tips to restaurants to out-of-the-way attractions. His wife and daughter are equally friendly and helpful, as are the others who man the front desk. The hotel itself has been nicely and even cleverly rehabbed. The ground floor entrance leads down a white tile hallway to a spiral staircase, which brings one to the entresol, with the front desk and breakfast room in one direction and, in the other direction, another white tile hallway with two sets of spiral stairs at each end leading to the rooms on the upper floors. The elevator (at least for the rooms at the far end of this hallway) is actually another flight up to the premiere étage, that is, on what would be the third floor elsewhere. So be prepared to haul luggage up two flights of spiral stairs. This is not necessarily a knock because it is not uncommon -- I've stayed in a small hotel in Paris where I've had to haul luggage up five flights of spiral stairs. Our room was on the deuxième étage, or what would be the fourth floor elsewhere. We were at the back of the hotel so there was no street noise. The bathroom was immediately in front of the door. It was well-appointed and sparkling clean, with black slate tiles on the floor, a modern sink and toilet, and a partial wall of frosted glass blocks setting off the shower area. The 140 square-foot room was a bit cramped, but still felt cozy, with two sets of French windows and a refrigerator. A small night stand, a long, narrow desk, and two straight back chairs complete the ensemble. We did not avail ourselves of the breakfast given our teens' difficulty in being able to leave the room before 10 am, but there is a nice boulangerie, La Mie Câline, around the corner on the Boulevard St. Denis, which François's daughter recommended, and at which one can easily pick up baguettes, croissants, and (most important) cafe au lait to bring back to one's room. I picked up breakfast there every morning; we kept orange juice, jam, and butter in the room fridge. The neighborhood is diverse, vibrant, and safe. It has not been scrubbed or Disneyfied. The funky Rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis is but a block west and does not lack for hip cafes and bars. Although the Metro is convenient, Beaubord, the Forum Des Halles, and the Île de la Cité are all within relatively easy walking distance. The Cosmotel is a precious little gem that I unhesitatingly recommend to anyone, couple or family, for an economical stay in Paris, short or long.

The hotel is centrally located;15 min walk from the Gay and Jewish Quarter, 2 min walk from a mass of restaurants, 20 min walk from Notre Dame and is very close to the metro for attractions further away such as the Eiffel Tower. It’s not recommended you eat at the awful take aways as you turn left out of the hotel. Turn right and you will see lots of restaurants which are great. So the hotel, for 5 nights we paid less than £400 so we didn’t expect much being in the centre of Paris. There seems to be a number of review on here complaining about the rooms not being like a hotel which would cost double if not more in Paris. You get why you pay for here... The room was very clean, towels changed everyday and beds made everyday at around 2pm so this gave us loads of time for a lie in. The bedroom was basic (which was expected) with no kettle etc but had loads of storage space, television (french channels only) and a shower room. If you want a place to stay which is cheap, central, warm, a good hot shower, 24 hour reception and spend your time exploring Paris, then this is a great hotel to book. The only bizarre thing I found was that you have to leave your key at reception when you go out. However, this helped as we didn’t have to worry about loosing it. There is also no lift in the hotel.

I spent 7 nights here due to a work trip. As many budget hotels in Paris, this one features very small room. This said, compared to my other travel experiences to Paris, this hotel is above average and it's good value for your money. First of all, it's very clean. As my window looked in the inner courtyard, at night my room was relatively quiet (I stayed there during a heat wave, so I had to keep the window open.) The room has no air conditioning (another common feature of cheap Paris hotels), but the staff provided me with a fan -- it helped me sleep comfortably at night despite the high temperatures. The staff was very helpful and kind. Another plus of this hotel is the location, right behind Porte de St. Martin, a few steps away from several subway lines (4, 8, and 9), and right around the corner from the Grand Boulevards. I walked to the Ile de la Cité in 20 minutes. Great area, packed with restaurants, bakeries, and bars.

My husband and I booked this hotel for our mini-moon in Paris after getting married in England. The location of the hotel is quite central, with tons of bars and restaurants within minutes of the front door. As with most hotels in Paris, the rooms were quite small with limited closet space. I loved the wallpaper and ability to open the windows into a terrace overlooking the street below. Given that the room is so small, it was a strange design choice to have the majority of the room be taken up with a giant freestanding bar. Cool idea, but that space would be better used for a place to store clothes, or even a small sitting sofa? The staff at the hotel was very helpful, offering great dinner recommendations which we took them up on for multiple meals. We loved hanging out in the cozy lobby by the fire and having a drink post-dinner. Breakfast was nice, with coffee to order and a small selection of eggs, fruit, and bread. No gym, but there is a partnership with a nearby gym for a day pass, but it seemed pretty expensive to me ($30+ dollars a day). I wish that there would have been some type of discount or offer from the hotel? Either way, cool hotel in a great location. We will be back!

We stayed for a week in Paris to be with our son. The hotel' s position is good, underground Gard d est and Chateau d eau. The street is quiet police next door. The main road round the corner is busy with restaurants, shops mini markets, etc. Buses are regular, but we walked from Hotel to The centre of Paris in 45 mins. The hotel says one star and we did pay for that rating without breakfast. We wanted somewhere to sleep shower and watch tv. We were lucky that our room 11 was second floor. There is no lift. My husband suffered and struggled going up the stairs. It is not a hotel for the faint hearted. As I had read a reviews regarding the room key, which is still used as the physical key, we decided not to leave the key at reception. The night porter asked us why? We told him that we do not trust the situation, that anyone can walk into reception, sees the key hanging, take it and have access to our room! He said but I am here! I said so you never need to go to the loo or go into your office? Yes he said I do. We said that is why. Anyway we did it our way. This is more of a hostel than a hotel. It is very basic. Furniture minimal in bedroom. Tv small but flat screen and thank heaven it had usb as I was sick and had to be in bed all day. I had loads of films with me as I do not follow French Tv. The bathroom is old, with metal rusty tubes but we had a good basin for the shower, sink and toilet with a broken push button to flush. We didn't moan about the flushing as long as it worked. The most disappointing aspect was 1 socket outlet! Really at this time and age. We have three tablets, four mobile phones and I needed to plug my vortex. So first thing I ran to a shop and bought a three meter extension with multiple plugs. We never had breakfast there and we boiled our own water. On the whole apart from the stairs, one socket, broken flushing, the key, we had good value for money. The sheets were always clean and very white. We were afraid of bed bugs, but there were none as my husband seems to have the sweet blood and had attracted them in a few hotel in Paris. Paris is famous for them. One star ' in the sky' hotel is fine for us, but we will not return.

I stayed in this hotel during January 2020 for a night. The personnel was very helpful by offering tips where and how to go, and I was even given the choice between rooms of the same standard. I stayed at room 407 which had a ceiling window like in an attic. Do not expect large rooms are in most Paris hotels. I liked the convenience and i enjoyed a nice 2km walk to the Louvre Museum.

We just finished up staying here for 6 days and could not be happier. The room was exactly as we expected, smaller than some but it was a decent size and not cramped, best of all it was very clean! The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are large and clean, new, and the public order is good. The hotel lobby is a glass sliding door. You need to swipe your room card to enter. The room was flat with 2 large boxes without pressure. The toilets are also very large. There are 2 sets of L'Occitane in a house, and a large bottle of mineral water is given away. Walk to the LV main store for 2 minutes, and make early purchase without pressure. It only takes 2 minutes to the Hermes George Avenue branch, and Bulgari is also nearby. If you want to buy luxury goods, you can put it back in the hotel before you continue. Do n’t worry about safety. 7-8 minutes walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe. The only bad thing is that the front desk called me at 10 o'clock in the morning on the day of check-out. This is a bad experience ... The hotel can help call a taxi to the airport. The hotel said the price was basically the same. The cafeteria and gym are located in B1. There is a Royal Treasure in the hotel, not sure if it is the same as Shanghai.

Very comfortable beds. A breakfast is only $10EU each daily, far more cost effective than buying outside the hotel. Save your money for lunch or dinner. Lovely staff, so very friendly and helpful. I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Paris in the 1990s. I continued to stay there every year until 2005, when I stopped traveling to Europe for a few years. In 2018 I returned to Paris and Hotel Emile under its new ownership. They had really done a lot to spruce up the hotel even before COVID 19. My husband and I love this hotel because of its great location. The metro is just across the street. There is a great cafe downstairs on the corner and a grocery store, pastry shop, boulangerie, fromagerie, librarie, etc. all within less than a 10 min walk. It is on the edge of the Marais, the best place in Paris for night time wanderings, in my opinion. And best of all, the hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a real warmth and family feeling at the hotel. I wouldn't change Hotel Emile for the Hotel Charles V!

A very cute hotel. We were in the bottom room, with windows that opened to the street. It was a little loud first thing in the morning or when other guest were rowdy due to being located right next to the lobby, but overall that was only the most minor of things we noticed. The bathroom was fantastic- heat towel rack, quality products, wonderful hot water/high pressure. Lots of closet/storage space. Seperate WC. the room was larger than we expected as well. Front desk was so friendly- greeted us each time we arrived, and were able to provide us ice on request (I tore my acl just before the trip, so needed ice regularly after a day of touring). I loved the writing desk in the morning sun- although the view was of the sidewalk, the transparent curtains we perfect for allowing in light while softening the view. The windows both had shutters inside to block out light/sound, and enough still space you could sit and read a book. Location was ideal...the Montmartre area is wonderful. Very close to the Blanche metro line, a short walk to two others. Although just two blocks from Moulin Rouge, absolutely no issues with noise or crazy crowds at night- in fact, it meant some great street food places were open late! Very near to bakeries, fruit stands cheesemonger, easy to grab something quick if you needed. Several cafes a stone throw away with perfect breakfasts and coffee. Near to Van Gough's apartment. A beautiful stroll to the love wall, sacred heart, dali museum and artist square- and thays with me being hobbled with my completely torn ACL! There is a secret food tour that starts and ends in the same area as the hotel to give you an idea of how wonderful all the nearby choices are for eating. 12/10 stay, would definitely stay at this location again. Beautiful location, beautiful service, beautiful city.

Lovely and clean hotel conveniently located just below Montmartre. The staff is very nice and helpful and managed to resolve all questions I might have had. The decor is quite nice, it has a cozy feeling. The breakfast is quite lovely, nice selection of french goodies, so definitely a plus. The only downside is reflected in the location: if you go to central Paris, you often go small for this price. So a single room gets the fun part of not being able to properly unpack my small hand luggage and the elevator is definitely designed for slender crowd. Would recommend and would stay again.

Excellent location, with 5, 6, 7 subways crossing. The room is small and basically adequate. For Chinese guests, the biggest benefit is that it is close to the Chinese community, Chinese restaurants and supermarkets have more choices, and apartment hotels with kitchens can also cook their own meals. The disadvantage is that the front desk of the hotel is slightly rigid. The air conditioner in my room does not heat, and the warranty for 2 days has not been resolved. From Charles de Gaulle Airport, take the RER line B to Denfert-Rochereau, change line 6 to Cambrinne, exit the station and walk past the traffic lights. The road on the left can see the Ibis hotel sign. There is no elevator or escalator on this section of the subway line 6 of Denfert-Rochereau. You have to carry your luggage up and down. Do not take Line 6 when returning. From the hotel, take a taxi to Denfert-Rochereau (approximately 7 minutes, 19 euros, 20 yuan). Denfert-Rochereau has an elevator to the airport RER line, so you do n’t have to carry your luggage up and down Off! Taxi in Paris is expensive, if the locals are at the airport-hotel, take a taxi to and from it * o * Next to the subway station there is a bakery and a small shop selling Kebab (Kebab, Middle Eastern food), which are all delicious! (Put a few photos of Kabab Kebab). The lobby on the first floor of the hotel is spacious with Cafe and bar. If you can't sleep at night, you can go downstairs for a cup of coffee or a small wine, which is very comfortable. The room is small, 12 square meters. The Ibis conditions are quite good, but the surrounding environment is too bad. When we heated the food at the front desk, because of the large amount of luggage, we managed poorly. Then we checked that the cash was gone. But the two of us were too stupid, and thanked each other. Later, the people around me should be the thief... Then we contacted the hotel right away, the hotel expressed anger, but we finally had no right to monitor even the monitoring, who did not know who to take How to get it, can't recover it. Advantages. - Situated on Rue de Lyon near railway station. Close to Ledru Rollin metro station. Not far from Bastille square. - Hotel is very fresh because of its transformation from Adriatic Hotel to Locomo Hotel. Disadvantages - I payed for my stay a week before and had confirmation. But when I came to hotel, I needed to pay extra costs (taxes) - plus 5,64 euro. It could be more convenient to pay once, not two times. - Sound insulation could be better – you hear what your neighbor doing. Two nights I often was awake because of sounds of conditioner which switched on and off. - The outlet in the bathroom was poorly mounted. It was obvious after finishing drying hair. Also cabin walls were not convenient. - Not convenient elevator due to extra ladder steps on ground floor and upper floors Also I could not immediately find hangers but there were in the room. So I found them a little bit later. But I was satisfied with the hotel despite these disadvantages

I picked this hotel because I was flying into Paris one evening and needed to put my daughter on an early morning train the following day at the Gare de Lyon. We didn't want to be far from the Gare so I chose this hotel because it was right next to the station. As you leave from the station's main exit, it is about 1 and 1/2 city blocks to the left. I requested a standard room with two beds and our room had separate beds, was spacious, exactingly clean and was on the fifteenth floor which meant that we had an incredible view of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in the distance to the right. The Seine was right in front of us. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I've lived in New York for many years and I couldn't imagine in my wildest dreams having similarly nice lodgings one block from NYC's Penn Station. The staff was courteous and helpful. The nightly rate was very reasonable. If I ever need a hotel for a one night stay in Paris I would definitely return here.
