Excellent service, extremely clean, and comfortable, just what you need after a day at the slopes. Situated only 2-5 mins walk away from the ski lifts, ski rentals and the restaurants. Literally in the heart of the town of Pas de la casa. If you are looking for accommodation, stop here. You must go to this hotel. Super breakfast, atmosphere and really cheap for what it is! Alex (owner) and his team responded efficiently to our requests, with a smile and proper customer service. They really go the extra mile to serve their clients. My family and I stayed in a family room of 5.

Not sure what some people want from a budget style hotel really? We stayed a week at the end of January 2020 and it was fine. The room was large with what appeared to be a new or nearly new bed and it was obvious that some refurbishment had been done in the bathroom, The floor was in need of relaying near the balcony as the laminate had been damaged, obviously by some idiotic guest probably leaving the window open for it to get wet, The check in was a bit of a faff. Took quite a while when we arrived on Sunday. The buffet's are quite good but they do need to do better to kep it hot. Breakfast has bacon, always under cooked I'm afraid and scrambled egg always over cooked! Plus all the usual continental stuff and plenty of it. Evening buffet was always plentiful with a selection of various European dishes. Same problem though about keeping it hot. Hot holding should be at least 65 degrees. I'm pretty sure these are not. It is only about 5-10 minute walk depending on you, to the ski slope. Al in all, good value.

I have given 5 stars for the Merino simply because the hotel and the staff deserves it. It's a low cost hotel, but doesn't claim to be anything else. It's located in the center of Pas, close to restaurants and just a few minutes walk up hill to the lifts. Rooms are basic but clean. Bed was comfy enough and the small bar area relaxing. I had no issue with breakfast other than the coffee machine gets crowded and is very slow. Top Tip: head to breakfast 5 minutes before it opens. Staff will let get a coffee while they prep breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel in March 2018 as part of a 16 man stag weekend (a well behaved one to avoid any stereotyping). Due to the relatively low cost and low star rating, my expectations were not high especially having seen previous reviews but I went with an open mind. I am glad that I did!! Upon arrival, the check-in process was friendly, efficient and well managed considering the number in our group. We all made our way to our respective rooms which for our group were mainly 3 man rooms. Our room was clean and well maintained with minimal decoration so suited our needs fine. The bed, albeit a single was comfortable, clean and was finished with soft pillows. The bathroom was compact but again, clean and adequate for our needs. The only negative was the shower cubicle which was quite small but we managed so no big issue but worthy of mention. None of our group are particularly overweight so a larger frame might struggle somewhat. Fresh towels were left each day whilst we were on the mountain and rooms cleaned to a good standard. We stayed on a half-board basis so made use of the breakfast and evening meal on offer which was a buffet style affair. Again, my expectations were not high but I was surprised at the decent level of food on offer. Don’t get me wrong, this is not exactly cordon bleu as such but for a group of blokes skiing and drinking, what was on offer was more than good enough. Among the items on offer was a range of meats, fish, escargots, breads, continental meats and cheeses, etc. As a summary, this hotel will suit a range of people. There were European families staying in the hotel and ourselves and everyone was well behaved. Would I stay again as part of a ski trip. . . For the money and overall service, absolutely!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We’ve been to Pas many times and usually stay central however we wanted a 2 bedroom apartment and this fit the bill perfectly. The room was modern, lights, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a double sofa bed which was perfect for our family of 5 including 1 teenage girl (who had the single room). Mountain views were fantastic (see photos). We drove from Spain so stocked up on shopping before we arrived, always a good idea as cheaper & more choice than local resort. The catering facilities aren’t complicated but include the ever important kettle & toaster for breakfast before heading downstairs to the ski locker & the ski in/out facilities which are fantastic. The staff were friendly & professional offering us an early check in and late check out without batting an eyelid, which was most welcome. The only issue was the WiFi but this is a problem all over Andorra with too many people trying to access at the same time. It worked fine early in the morning & late at night but was almost unusable during the day. If they sort out this problem I wouldn’t hesitate giving it 5 stars. We will most likely return here again in the future so can give it my full recommendation.

After booking this hotel through a deal on Secret Escapes, we were pleasantly surprised! Although the hotel is not anywhere near the ski slopes, they do offer a small free mini bus ride to the gondola which will take you to the slopes. On our first day we realised that you had to book the shuttle a day in advance and the earliest you could call up was 8am. Seems fairly reasonable, however when we called ahead a day before at 8am the popular spaces were already taken! We managed to get a few rides at later times there and back and when we weren’t able to catch a lift we caught the local bus which took us to the gondola (around €3.20 for 2 people, 1 way). The rooms were lovely, really comfortable bed, complimentary shampoos and shower gels and small TV. There is also a mini fridge which you can store some water or snacks you might buy at the local supermarket next door. Rooms are definitely not sound proof-we had some noisy neighbours who would meet late at night in the corridor and in the neighbouring room to have a chat -(Although the floor throughout the building would be a nice hangout zone, the red carpet looks quite comfy to sit on!) What ever you do, do NOT pack your swim suit. After finding it on the top floor we were escorted to a very VERY small rectangle with already a family of 6 taking up the beds, the pool, the showers and the steam room. The staff member asked us to put our valuables and clothes into small fabric cubby holes situated right by the elevator (no lockers - very unsafe), before we took off our shoes into another cubby hole along the corridor. If you’re visiting make sure you say you’re using you’re free session - why anyone would actually pay to be there really beats me - so don’t get pushed into paying (which we nearly were by the staff member sitting by the pool). After having 10 minutes sitting in the corner of the pool with screaming children, we decided to leg in when we saw another family arrive and try squeeze in with their family of 8!There was no crown control or limit of people in the pool area as the woman watching the pool area had left and hadn’t come back even after we changed and waited a further 10 minutes. The food was what you pay for. A lot of the food is a mixture of Italian, French and Spanish and are made up of very unusual combinations like chicken and squid stew, or leg of lamb with jus (no potatoes, no veg - just lamb in juice). All the desserts are served cold including pies and rice puddings. The wine list is reasonable and they charge little for large bottles of water. The breakfasts are nice with a hot and cold buffet, pastries, meats, cereals, fruits and juices available. I’d recommend being there before 9am as it gets quite busy at peak times! The staff said there were complimentary teas, coffees and pastries by reception but we never saw any pastries at any point during our stay which was disappointing when we wanted a snack after skiing. Overall an average stay -reception staff wer

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights for our hiking trip. Due it's central location it's perfect to use as base and explore the different areas of Andorra. Wherever you want to go, you'll be there in no more than 15-20 minutes driving. We arrived around 8pm on a Monday night and were received by the reception staff as well as the hotel director. When we said that we wanted to hike, the director offered us his own maps so we didn't need to buy any. He gave us a lot of recommendations and we really enjoyed our stay. Every time we saw him or one of the employees they greeted us with a smile and short conversation. Breakfast was good, several hot and cool options to choose from, changing up a little bit every morning. The room was really big and spacious facing towards the city so you won't hear any noise from the road. Even though the bathroom is getting a bit old and need some updates. Everything else was perfect and we will definitely coming back soon.

I stayed in this hotel for a few days with my friend and daughter. The location is excellent. It's technically not in Andorra La Vella, but it's about 30 seconds by foot. Andorra is very small that way. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the most pungent perfume odor I've ever encountered in a hotel lobby. The smell was burning my nostrils. My daughter felt dizzy. As a migraineur, I cannot stand strong artificial smells. The receptionist took his sweet time with every guest (as is common in this part of Europe), and by the time he got to us, I was ready to pass out myself. He gave us our room keys fast enough, and I complained about the smell. He countered that he could not control it, as it was automatic. I told him it was making us sick, and asked him to turn off the automatic machine. He said he could not, because it was automatic, and most people loved the smell. I told him again it was making us sick and artificial smells like this are not good for anyone. He said he would look into it. To his credit, the next day the smell was gone (though by day three it was back). The room was fine. We had a fold out bed and two single beds. There was no A/C, which is probably not an issue most of the year. In July it was stuffy. Our balcony was beautiful and very comfortable. We hung out on it a lot. We kept our balcony door open at night to make the room less hot. But that meant the balcony light, which we could not turn off, was shining in our faces. We solved it by hanging a towel on the light at night to soften it at least, and then we slept upside down on our beds. Sometimes at random intervals our bathroom smelled like marijuana. We do not smoke weed, so it was not from us. I assume it was from a guest in a nearby room. For the price we paid, we really cannot complain about the room, though. You get what you pay for. The beds were comfortable and the shower was hot when we wanted it to be. We did not try the breakfast, but with the lobby smell, I was afraid to even try eating in there. If you need quiet, this is not the hotel for you. There is construction going on all day long down the street. I think they have a limited season for building things in Andorra and have to work as much when they can. There were free pool passes for the public pool that is up the road. It's very nice and lovely to swim in surrounded by the mountains.

Very central hotel, I stayed in a hotel in the other side of town but this one is so close to avinguda Carlemany where all the shops and restaurants are and really close to Caldea. We also loved that it was close to Encamp where we could catch the lift to go skiing. Reception and housekeeping were very helpful, and they went out of their way when I asked for an extra heaterbin the room because I'm easily chilly! All staff members were genuinely nice and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and so fresh! We did not use the spa as we had passes for Caldea and came mainly for shopping and skiing but no doubt it was as amazing as the rest of the property! I will definitely be coming back to this address and will recommend to my friends and family!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We were in town for business. The location is excellent in the heart of Andorra Le Vella right next to the pedestrain area and all the shopping. The rooms we had were very small. Could hardly open my suitcase. However it was still a nice room with modern amenities. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel offers a good breakfast buffet. If you come by car there is no parking and you have to park for a fee in one of the surrounding parking sturctures. The hotel staff was very freindly and helpful The wi fi worked well.

The hotel is located at the end of the city or halfway up the hill. From the station it used to cross the entire city. When I saw the front desk of the hotel, I asked, "Did you actually drive?" It’s probably watching me push a box and gasp. This hotel couldn't be in a better location, situated in the heart of Andorra La Vella which is what made this hotel so perfect for us. Surrounded by lots of shops, restaurants and only a 5 minute walk to Caldea. The room itself was small but cozy, offering a double bed, TV, wifi, bath and shower. If you are driving like we did the city does not have any free parking but the hotel offers parking at a discounted rate which was very handy for us. The lady at reception was lovely, she couldn't have been any more welcoming and helpful. This hotel is good value for money and very central, I don't know what more you would want from a city break. I stayed at the Eurotel for four nights in September 2019. The reception staff and management were very friendly and helpful. On arrival the receptionist came to my room to resolve an issue with the bathroom. After having checked out and returned to the UK I realised I had left behind three important items of clothing. Two days after returning I telephoned the hotel and they arranged for the clothes to be packaged up and posted to my home. I am most grateful for their helpful response.

Because it is a temporary stay during the double dwelling period, the house price is more than double the usual one, which cannot be compared objectively, but the living environment is suitable based on the usual price. The overall sound insulation of the room is good, the design of the suite is relatively reasonable, and the breakfast is ordinary. Western food.

Sat in Barcelona airport after 5 days skiing in Andorra and felt that we had to write the review straight away as our stay was so good. This was our first time skiing in Andorra and we were not dissapointed The hotel is comfortable, friendly and has a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel facilities for skiers is brilliant. It is a 1 min walk through the hotels underground car park, up a short spiral staircase, to exit at the back of the hotel directly opposite the gondola. The food was lovely and Jorge, the head waiter, went above and beyond looking out for us. One evening, when our apre ran a little later than planned, we returned to the hotel (after food had finished) to find that Jorge had put some food aside for us, even though we hadn't asked. The hotel is located in the quietest of the villages but it is very easy to access the more lively locations using the local buses. Would we stay here again? YES, without hesitation. Would we recommend it. Yes. Hopefully your stay will be as good as ours.

Spent 3 nights here skiing in Soldeu for 2 days. Incles is situated between Soldeu and El Tarter both of which have ski lifts but not Incles itself. Walking in the evening is not an issue about 1km either direction but too far in ski boots. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel to take you which is helpful but it costs whereas most of Europe has free ski shuttle buses. We had a car so drove up with our ski gear to Soldeu as the mountain was not overly busy being a Thursday and Friday and early in the season. All day street parking was easy enough and cheaper than the bus. On the second day we found out that parking underneath the telecabina was actually free with a ski pass. The hotel did not advise us of this despite us asking about parking options which was very poor. Of course there may not be availability in busy times. The hotel suited our needs for a few days. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Our room was meant to have a mountain view but looked over the road instead. Here’s my environmental gripe - stop putting plastic ribbons over the toilet and plastic sleeves over glass cups! This does not mean it’s clean and is completely wasteful. No need to change towels unless there for a week minimum. No one in their own home has clean towels daily so why do hotels waste so much water and energy! Unnecessary- think and help save our planet before it’s too late.

Overall our stay in the hotel was fairly good as a base for skiing and the shuttle bus to the lift was convenient and frequent (no more than 5 Min wait max). The room was nice and the bed was very comfy, however was a little tight on storage space and would have been good to have slippers or dressing gowns, instead we had to pay a deposit for these. Also no shampoo or conditioner which you'd expect as standard for a 4 star. There was also a spa at the hotel which we knew had to be paid for, but it was disappointing that we then had to pay for 'obligatory extras' such as hairnet and flipflops (never experienced this anywhere else). The water in the spa itself was luke warm and there was no shower gel in the changing rooms, so overall don't bother with the spa! One of the aspects that appealed about the hotel was that it specifically catered for coeliacs, but given that we were expecting more. Although there was lots of choice, the buffet wasn't great in terms of quality. Coeliacs have to ask each day what they have and they don't speak much English so have to go and check each evening which doesn't give much confidence that the food is safe. The quality of the coeliac options were also pretty poor. If you're wanting somewhere with no frills to act as a base for your ski trip then great, but it's not luxury.

This was our second trip to Soldeu and we decided to try out the Himalaia hotel as it was part of a good package from Neilsons. The hotel is in a great location, around a 200m walk to the main gondola station. The hotel provides ski lockers included in the room cost and you can access this through the lower garage entrance out onto the main street. The hotel room we had was pretty big, a large double bed, separate bathroom and separate living area with double sofa bed and microwave/kitchen area. The decor is typical ski lodge, dark and wooden design / brown. We stayed as half board and this was our first issue as the food was pretty much cold on all visits. Breakfast selection was a little random, with hard baked beans, sometimes there was scrambled egg, sometimes it wasn't put out at all. They do have a fresh omelette station which was good to get either a cheese or cheese and ham omelette. In the evening none of the food was labelled up so it was a bit of a lottery on what meat or meal you would be putting on your plate. I have a nut allergy and there were no labels on any of the breads (some had walnuts as my wife found out) and even though we arrived as soon as the restaurant opened, some of the food was stone cold or luke warm at best. Most days we ended up having whatever we thought looked like chicken, and the fries which we knew would be warm as they were fried. On half board you get zero drinks with your evening meal, not even water - i find this very strange and every other half board option we've had before, provides at least one drink, soft or otherwise. Also, every day one of the waitresses would be singing throughout her shift, slightly annoying when you want to have a nice quiet breakfast. Some people may like this but personal preference, and it got very annoying. Pros : - room size and location - ski lockers - average value for money Cons - not great food / cold food - poor labeling on food selection We will be coming back to Soldeu for our third ski holiday in 2021, and may come back if the above feedback is taken on board to improve the Himalaia experience
