The hotel is in a good location. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Pioneer Court Square or the river. Taco bell and subway fast food restaurants are nearby. The hotel does not include breakfast, but the big supermarket less than 5 minutes walk can completely solve the problem. The hotel has free parking and the front desk staff are polite. Just because I was not diligent enough in sanitation, I stayed in a hotel for three days, but one day I didn't hear anything.

There is a small supermarket in the downstairs. There is a gym and swimming pool. The breakfast was very good. By the way, for the Chinese, the restaurant buffet area has always had hot water, instant noodles 2.5 yuan, very intimate. The location is in a quiet residential area. There are good hills behind you to climb the mountain.

We needed to stay close to PDX for a very early flight and this hotel was perfect. Great value, seemed new, shuttle to the airport (sign up in advance), great bed and friendly staff. Room and bath were extremely clean and very spacious. Walking distance to Target, a few restaurants, the rail stop. Many Covid restrictions still in place, the pool was closed. Overall great visit.

The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland

The Nines is a luxurious hotel that met and exceeded my expectations. Location: The Nines is located in Central Portland, near Pioneer Courtyard Square, and is a stone's throw away from many excellent restaurants, shopping, and tourist destinations. Room: The room itself is fairly large and luxurious, with a very new renovation. The two queen beds were very large and the bedding was very comfortable. The washroom is large and has everything that is needed. The ceiling height is very high, so it makes the room feel very spacious. Well done and designed. Common Area: Wow! From the entry of the hotel, to the hallways upstairs, it was surely a journey through excellent design! The lobby is in the center of the hotel, on the eighth floor. The lobby is large and is very well designed, with an atrium/courtyard like style. Service: People were attentive and housekeeping did a good job. Concierge was willing to help and had an excellent attitude. Without any doubt, The Nines is surely Portland's best hotel.

Next to our meeting at Elmer's Restaurant. Elmer's may deliver to the hotel. Portland was unusually hot so I was glad the a/c worked well in the room. The hall was hot, however. Clean room except for a small stain on the carpet. Bath looked recently renovated and bright. Quiet a/c and refrigerator. TV was not user-friendly (and showed the date as being Dec 31, 2015.) but had a sharp picture.

The first time I lived in the Youth Hostel, his downstairs was a restaurant, which caused him to share the space without a kitchen. It was a pity, but I could ask them for hot water. I lived in a bed of 12 people. When I came, only me and another person were there. So we two lived in a big house, so lucky, The toilet here is also very clean. I slept here for two nights. There is no problem. The parking space nearby is a bit difficult to find. When I get up in the morning, I have coffee, fresh milk and oat milk. The decoration of the whole store is very retro. In the morning, you can go to the restaurant when it is not open.

River's Edge Hotel Portland, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Portland

I honestly don't think I've ever had a worse or more disappointing hotel experience than the one I just had at River's Edge in Portland. From the outside, when I first arrived, I wasn't sure if the hotel was even open. It appeared to still be under construction. The only things visible from outside the entrance were construction debris and plastic tarp. I wouldn't have been surprised to find I had simply gone to the wrong place. However, the doors did automatically open as I approached, so I cautiously entered. I expected to be chased out by an angry construction worker. There was no lobby, to speak of. The check-in desk was essentially a folding card table with a computer, and a frazzled employee who seemed to be frustrated to have to work under such conditions, exhausted from having to make excuses for the position they had been put in. My room was supposed to have a balcony with a river view. Only, the windows and doors to the balcony were sealed off with more plastic sheeting. Not only could I not see the river, I couldn't even get onto the balcony. When I went to wash my hands, there was no hot water. I mentioned it twice to the person the ”front desk,” but there was still no hot water when I returned from an evening out. I called down again to inform them that I still didn't have hot water, and was told that someone would call me back shortly. They never did. Consequently, I was unable to shower the next morning. I had to tell the person at the the front desk, again, that there was no hot water on my way out for the day. We did end up having hot water when we returned that evening. I had been told that the construction that was taking place that had necessitated the plastic sheeting on my balcony would be taken down the next day, and that our balcony would be accessible, but that never happened. When we returned from one of our evenings out, the elevators stalled just as it reached our floor, and the doors only opened part way. We had to carefully exit sideways to fit through the gap, but we were worried that the doors might close on us as we did, or that the elevator might suddenly decide to go up or down before we got through. We were informed that our room would only be serviced if we requested, so it basically felt like we paying for a bed, a parking space, and nothing more. Our bill was $437.54 for two nights of feeling like we were trespassers at a construction site. This is not a place that anyone should pay any amount to stay at.

My brother recommended this hotel to me and it was AMAZING! Absolute gem in Portland. The property is a converted old elementary school turned into a swanky, bizarre hotel complete with a restaurant, brewery, and 3 cocktail bars on site (and a patio and a gift shop - the list goes on). The hotel wing is decorated with music posters and funky lighting and steam punk-esque decor. Being far from the center of the city, the area is safe and not suffering from the high levels of homelessness downtown. The facilities were clean and and super comfortable.

I have experienced many hostels in the city center. In particular, the lolopass is distinctly different from the hostel facilities used in the past, and the facilities are clean and designed not to interfere with sleep, so the cabinet and sleeping space are separated. Also, the lobby on the first floor where you can relax is nice and the kitchen is neat. It is the same as the picture introduced on the official Instagram.

Holiday Inn Portland - Columbia Riverfront

Portland

This is more of a lodge than a hotel with multiple connected wings. I chose it because it's after memorial day and I wanted a pool, given I was arriving early from the east coast. I get to the hotel and the pool is closed. At a holiday inn. After memorial day. No notice. Not an email explaining it or on their website. I even called the hotel to change my reservation and no mention of it. The rooms are large enough - too large for the amount of furniture in them - but the pool was closed. It appears they set it up for tomorrow but I'm leaving for work at 7 am. Even if I had called they have a 24 hour no cancel policy so i would have been charged for the room no matter what. So, the hotel itself is rambling and there's a sister property that's a Ramada across some odd vast desolate field. They look exactly the alike. Same architect, same design. But separate hotels. The hotel decor is questionable. There are expanses of halls that scream for work - and someone with a design esthetic to fix them. There's just not enough furniture anywhere and what they do have is pushed up against the walls in every room hallway, lobby etc. This area is in a no mans land island with very few amenities and shuttered stores. No small little town center but a grouping of suburban buildings with a best buy, target, staples, tj maxx, etc that have empty shelves and no customers. Most close at 6 pm. Dump this place and stay in town. It's depressing. And the pool was closed. Ugh.

There were some problems with the room that the front desk arranged for check-in... Go downstairs to communicate with the front desk and arrange to change to another adjacent room, which was much better this time. 1. The location of the hotel is slightly away from the shopping mall of Pioneer Square, about 15-20 minutes on foot. 2. The hotel’s breakfast is pure Western style, with real-fire baked freshly made pizza, iron plate of vegetable and egg bread (as shown in the picture), three kinds of juice, three kinds of milk (whole milk-black handle, skim Milk-blue handle, sweet soy milk?-green handle), a variety of fresh fruits, the taste is not bad. Favorite blueberry + plain yogurt. 3. The hotel has its own parking lot with parking service. The charge is quite expensive, 40+ USD per night. The parking space on the road in front of the hotel, once every two hours, costs about four dollars. Take a few more steps and pass two intersections. There is a world food supermarket. There is a small parking lot opposite. You can stay overnight. There is a discount for parking on Friday nights. It costs 8 dollars a night. Change! Tell the important things three times, don't ask how I know...remember to remember! You can also renew during the day, which is very convenient.

We stayed here for three nights. The design of the hotel is simple and simple like a studio. The room is more spacious and the bed is comfortable. The surrounding environment is also good to the city center. There was some problem with the lighting of the room, and the cabinet placed in the coffee machine was almost invisible. Although there are windows that can't be opened, it wastes natural air and does not meet the environmental protection concept emphasized by the hotel itself. Because it is probably a new hotel, the air circulation is not good, some taste (still acceptable)

The location of the hotel is relatively remote, so parking is not difficult. There is no elevator, so I am a problem for having a large baggage and I am not willing to go to the first floor. I have an unidentified taste in the door of the room. I think it is the taste of the bathroom. It should be carefully identified as a thick curry flavor. There are obvious folds, not like new ones, and they are sent to change after communication. The furniture looked like there was a patina, and the carpet was somewhat sensational, giving up the extra breakfast for the reservation.

Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel

I really feel that this hotel is not worthy of the ”Sheraton” brand! Let’s talk about it. I went to the airport and waited for the free shutter of his home for a full half hour. I didn’t expect Portland to be so cold at night, the clothes were worn less, and the dog was frozen! Then the car came, the driver did not get off the luggage, the whole master, so I also decisively did not tip! When I arrived at the front desk of the hotel, I checked in and unfortunately met a girl suspected of racism. When I saw that we were Chinese, I immediately stretched my face a lot and went to the room in a bad mood. I gave the most remote room on the first floor. I walked far away and said that I opened the curtains and saw only one wall! Oh, really depressed! I think about ten o'clock in the evening, I am too lazy to change the room again, ready to wash and sleep, and found that the sewer is not working! It’s really a slap in the face, and I’m going to call the front desk for repairs. Fortunately, this time the repairman came faster, and finally took a shower before 11:00! Is this like the Sheraton Hotel? I really doubt that I lived in the fake Sheraton! Also, another disadvantage of living on the first floor is that the restaurant fume on the first floor of the hotel is filled directly into the room, but there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom! So accompanied by the smell of soot, we spent a night unhappy! I really don't recommend this hotel!

Called an hour prior to arrival to confirm a room was available, being sure to confirm the price for a room with 2 seperate beds, as i did not wish to sleep next to my sister... Arrive and am given a key to a King bed room (very nice I might add). However, dissapointed I return to reception and refer to our prior phone conversation confirming the price and room that was agreed to on the phone. They try to deny that this was said (after telling me earlier that they can't remember my call?) to which my sister aids my case confirming what she heard on our phone call. They then tell me that another room will cost $20 more, which i politely decline and refer again to our phone call. She then tells me that this room is not available - which makes no sense whatsoever, as she just offered me the exact room we agreed upon (2 queen beds) for an additional price? I raise this point to which a counter offer of $10 is made - which i find very unprofessional (haggling with customers about a previously agreed upon price?) Reluctant to argue further or search for another room I begrudgingly accept the additional fee, being sure to let them know that this will be published online. Besides this - the room was OK (Aircon nice and cold) however the bathroom towel rack fell on the floor upon removing a towel? definitely needed fixing and was potentially dangerous, especially for a smaller child - Fix room 41 if you read this guys! All in all, I got a nice sleep in a decent bed, a good location, nice aircon, poor customer service and OK room. No wifi provided? not sure what happened there. TLDR: price provided via phone (1 hr prior) is changed upon checkin, haggled with for an extra $20 and told I should have booked in advance? Dodgy Bathroom Towel rack but nice cold aircon & bed and OK shower.

I honestly never write reviews, but it's important that people don't waste time or money here. We booked in for 3 nights, and arrived on the first night to be greeted by a rude employee checking us in. She just took my card and gave us our room keys. No further info was offered. We then got to our room, which stank of stale smoke, half the lights didn't work so it was dark and dingey. I found fresh chewing gum on my bed sheets, the AC did not work right and the bathroom was grimey and clearly not deep cleaned. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the state of the room made us feel really unsafe. We wanted to cancel right away, and found a replacement hotel for the same price. I tried to call the front desk, no answer, and nobody there when I walked over. It was quite late at night so we just left, and cancelled online. I am currently trying to get a refund, with no answer from both corporate or the hotel itself yet. We stayed in the Quality Inn a few blocks away, which was miles better. We could not believe these 2 hotels were the same price!

But after the stay, I realized I likely left my headphones ($200.00-ish Sony earbuds), so I called to inquire. The woman at the front desk who answered the phone was extremely rude. She didn’t even offer to check the lost and found and told me they’d likely have already donated them, obviously anxious to end the call. When I asked to speak with her manager, she said she was a manager. Then I asked for her name. At that point, she literally laughed and hung up on me. I called corporate at that point, beside myself, particularly given the fact that she wouldn’t even CHECK the lost and found. After that call, a manager (an actual manager) called me back. She told me she had just received a message from corporate and was immediately on it, checking every place they could possibly be. After that, she promptly called me back that same day to let me know that she could not find them. Huge bummer, but she actually apologized, was genuinely sorry, and refunded my stay in full. Long story short, this place redeemed itself. We will stay here again, especially for airport trips, but hopefully the woman at the front desk was disciplined and will not give us more issues.

This was our first time in Portland and we had no real idea what expect of the city and surrounding area. If you do any reading, your head can spin. Only you can decide what you can tolerate. We were there for a wedding with a big, multi-generational group and this hotel was perfect for our purposes. As suites, the rooms had more-than-typical-hotel-room space. We used the kitchen area for leftovers and snacks. The extra sink was handy. The lighting was decent, the USB ports and number of outlets were good. Everyone had some room to spread out. The beds were what I expect from Marriott - super comfortable and we all slept well. Our room faced the interior courtyard and none of us had problems with noise. The hallways were noisy with kids running, but that's everywhere now. There were two things about the room that stood out and made the made it hard to maneuver for us, and that was the lack of drawer storage and that the only clothing storage was the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom. With four of us in the room and only TWO drawers, where are we all supposed to put almost a weeks worth of clothing? Yes, they are big drawers, but not nearly big enough. The closet, as usual, has a minimal number of hangers. We pack as lightly as possible but we were there for a special event and had some extra clothing. To add insult to injury, the bathroom door swings into the space where the two drawers open and the closet doors open. If a person tries to come out of the bathroom when another person is either in the closet or has a drawer open, there will be a collision (or the person in the bathroom is stuck inside). It's a huge cluster. Who thought that was a good idea? Maybe other rooms aren't designed like this. The common areas of the hotel were clean and well kept. The room card was needed to access the elevator and public restrooms. The breakfast in the morning was great. Lilia, one of the women who worked in the breakfast area, was so kind to our family, especially my mother-in-law. The workers, and she in particular, provided exceptional service every morning. Usually I'm not impressed with hotel breakfasts but I thought this one did it quite well. In the evenings, we almost always gathered at happy hour. With folks in our group of different ages from different parts of the country, being able to hang out together and relax in such a nice environment was what we needed. David and Ted were attentive and charming. They kept the drinks and appetizers flowing. For this, again, the hotel was perfect for us and the service was top notch. Transportation is easy at this location. Union Station is so close. The streetcar is not far. It's never difficult to get an Uber. There are also many restaurants and stores to explore just in the nearby neighborhood. We had a rental car delivered for three days of our time in Portland, to be able to explore beyond the city. It was very easy, and cheap, to park the car in the nearby parking garage. We worried

The area is so convenient for everything. Washroom is kinda small and the tub is slippery which is dangerous if you take a shower.
