|5.44km from city centerWe had a bad Airbnb experience and needed a reliable, comfortable place to stay for the night. This hotel is at a Golf Course and it is very beautiful!! We got a great price but I chose 1 King instead of 2 Queens on accident. They we're super happy and kindly changed the room at no cost to us.
When we got to our room, a sticker was over our door showing that the room had been cleaned and no one had entered. The beds were huge, plush and very clean. I slept like a baby. The room was very clean, too and the A/C was pumping out the cool air. The room was clean, quiet and cool. We enjoyed it very much!

|5.01km from city centerFirst, I will say that we traveled through several states and stayed at two other Comfort Suites over a period of 10 days. I had been told that as a Choice member that I could request a late check out. I asked for a 2:00 PM check out but was told no by the night clerk. I had planned to ask again in the morning, but we overslept. Robert came banging on our door at 11:35 AM and was quite rude. He told me that if we were not out of the room by 12:00 PM that I would be charged another night. We had a toddler with us, so it was very stressful for him to demand that we vacate in such a short time. I think he could have allowed us another 10-15 minutes, but he was quite nasty. We scrambled and packed up in the short time and vacated the room at 11:58 PM. The other Comfort Suites we stayed at in SC, and VA Beach treated us very well and explained their policies upfront so there would not be any misunderstanding. I will not stay at this Comfort Suites again (I have family in the area). It was not as nice as the other Comfort Suites in SC and VA Beach.

|6.76km from city centerI travel for work weekly and stay in the Innsbrook area. The hotel I normally book with was full for one of the two nights I needed. mainly due to several rooms with broken AC. I was able to book my complete stay with Comfort Suites easily with no issues. I was so glad I made this booking! Austen (The Front Desk Supervisor) was incredibly helpful and courteous. The hotel itself was impeccable. It was clean and inviting My previous hotel of choice had lacked in this area, to the point one of my visits I had to request clean sheets and bedspread as they had not been changed with what they considered housekeeping This was my first experience with a Choice Hotel and I will be booking all of my further weekly trips to Richmond here, without hesitation. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking to stay in this area.

|7.26km from city centerThis was my first travel experience in the Short Pump area of Richmond. However, I found the hotel overall to be very comfortable. Broad Street offered numerous shops and restaurants. The Town Center down the street was an added bonus. Ms. Kim at the front desk gave excellent customer service and was a pleasure to speak to. The restaurant served tasteful food and was served promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return. We had the 1 bedroom 2 room king suite. A couple additional observations: 1) The king mattress needs an upgrade. In the suite, I would expect a more plush mattress. 2) The lighting in the shower area needs to be brighter. 3) Also in the shower area, there was a continuous fan/vent running constantly. I understand the need for ventilation to ensure no moisture build-up to avoid moldy situations. Have the fan/vent on a separate switch to be used when needed and not hearing that noise is a workable solution. I did close the sliding door to reduce the noise. 4) The sliding door for the toilet/shower area had to be moved gently. It was easy to move it too far and get it off the little track. These items weren't show stoppers but items that if addressed would certainly enhance the Marriott experience that all guest, especially those of us who are rewards members expect from this brand.

|4.53km from city centerI stayed here for a few weeks for work and was satisfied for the price. If your looking for a decent room with a reasonable rate, this is recommended. If your looking for a great room with many amenities and continental breakfast...look elsewhere. Overall the staff is very friendly and you can check out your room beforehand, so no surprises.

|4.11km from city centerMy son and I stopped at Springhill Suites on our way from Georgia to New Jersey. We enjoyed the pool and spa. We had a great night sleep. Ceecee welcomed us to Breakfast (sausage, oatmeal and my son's favorite AppleJacks cereal). So many friendly and smiling faces. Overall great hotel to stay at and we would highly recommend you stay here when traveling into Virginia.

|4.25km from city centerI am a Hilton Honors member and I stay in Hampton Inns multiple times a year. The key to any brand is consistency and this property is clearly falling short, mainly in the area of service. Digital key didn't work at check-in. Young woman at front desk said, ”It hasn't worked in weeks.” No ”sorry,” no care whatsoever. (For frequent travelers, the digital key, and being able to skip being processed at the front desk, is the main reason to stay with the brand.) There was no shampoo in the guest room, for example, and so, after a long day of travel, I went to the front desk to ask for some. The front desk person looked around, couldn't find any, and, after several minutes of looking, handed me some shampoo from another brand, something that looked like she grabbed it from the lost & found drawer. Again, no ”sorry,” no care, no ”Would you like some sent up to your room tomorrow?” Same lack of care when I asked for my rate to be adjusted to my company's corporate rate: ”I can't do that. My manager has to do that.” No ”sorry for the inconvenience,” no ”let us make it easier on you on I'll leave a note and have the manager do it for you tomorrow,” nothin'. She didn't even have the energy to say, ”Come back tomorrow,” which would have been annoying, but at least better than the blank stare of ”sucks to be you” that I received. Got the same attitude from the front desk in subsequent days when I asked for decaf coffee. And again when I asked for a check-out time of Noon. No one ever asked, not once, ”how's your stay?” or ”Is there anything else we can do for you?” Staff needs basic, basic customer service training where smiling is step one in the formula. My refrigerator in the room was broken, but I didn't dare tell anyone. I couldn't bare another indifferent response. The room itself was clean, but a bit beat and the mattress sloped downward toward the headboard in an uncomfortable way. As I said, not a great representative of the Hampton or Hilton brand.

|6.5km from city centerI am a business traveler looking for a place to stay long term when in Richmond, so I decided to give the Extended Stay America in Short Pump, VA a try for one night. The first room I was assigned was # 212. I always check the sheets, blankets and overall bed for cleanliness and bugs. The bed linens looked clean until I pulled back the mattress to check for bedbugs (none seen) and saw dirt and a used hair bow on the box spring cover next to the base of the headboard. I then checked the bathroom and saw what appeared to be dried sparkly nail polish on the toilet seat and inside of the toilet. As I continued to check out the rest of the room I noticed it was getting unbearably cold, and found that I was not able to adjust the settings on the ac unit. I went back to the front desk and asked to be given a different room. The nice young man working the desk moved me to room #110. This room was much cleaner, although I don't believe guests are able to adjust the heat/ac units in any of the rooms because as the evening went on I was freezing in this room too, and had no choice but to unplug the unit from the wall to turn off the air. To summarize: Pros: - Price is right if you are looking for basic lodging in a nice part of town - Comfortable mattress. I slept well. - Full kitchen area with refrigerator, stove, sink and granite counter tops - Big screen tv with a variety of cable channels - Close to a good variety of restaurants - Close to shopping - I felt safe. My room was in the same building as the check-in desk. You couldn't access the hallway where the rooms are located without a key card - It was quiet at night Cons: - No dishes, pot & pans or utensils of any kind are kept in the room. Go to the front desk and ask for them if needed. - Very thin blankets and towels. - Shampoo and soap are provided, but the shampoo bottle is the smallest I have ever seen and definitely not enough for more than one person. Not even enough for one person if you have a lot of hair . - No hair dryer. I had to go to the store and purchase one. - No ability to adjust the room temperature (that I could find). - Ice machine is located on the 1st floor, but if you need ice there isn't an ice bucket in the room or at the machine. Perhaps they expect you to take the ice tray from the freezer in your room with you to ”catch” the ice? - At 7:10 am there were no signs of the free ”grab and go” breakfast advertised. Not even a cup of coffee. I had to drive to the 7-11 down the street for coffee. Will I stay there again? Probably not. I think it is fine for someone who just wants the basics. I can put up with a lot, but having to drive somewhere for my morning coffee isn't one of them.

|4.32km from city centerI’m currently staying at this hotel. Many amenities are comparable to other Courtyard hotels. But I’ve never seen a hotel pool that doesn’t open until 12pm each day. Also the fitness center is small and very basic. The worst was the hotel turning off the water without notice. I was taking a shower when suddenly the water stopped. I checked the bathroom faucet, and no water was available there either. I called the front desk and learned the water had been shut off to fix a hot water issue. Certainly understand the need, but hotel guests should be notified first. I doubt that I will stay at this hotel again.
