This hotel is located in a very vibrant university neighbourhood with lots of shops, cafés,restaurants. As well there are several museums art galleries within yhree or four blocks. Subway station is a block away. We had no problems finding a good coffee and meal at a very reasonable price. The hotel is very simple offering clean and somewhat small but efficient rooms. The staff spoke English and were very friendly.Rooms facing the street can be a bit noisy from cafes below so you will have to rely on the air conditioning. The breakfast was simple but well stocked with cereal yoghurt fresh fruit and pastries. I would recommend this to people who would like to stay a bit out of the way from the downtown core. However it is a short pleasant 15-20 minute walk from this hotel to Marienplatz. I would definitely stay again.FromUS$77.00

We have just returned home from our 2 week stay with the Swabinger Wahrheit The hotel had organised a pick up from the airport and after a 25 hour flight and little sleep we were happy we took up the offer. Our hotel rooms were ready for us on arrival despite arriving very early in the morning. I have to say, nothing is too much trouble at this hotel, hotel management will fall over themselves to help out in any way possible. The beds are dreamy, pillows are soft and rooms are soundproof. The hotel has a wellness room that we used each morning and the breakfast each morning was super fresh The location can't be beaten, Schwabing is just north of the city & Old town but the U bahn stop (giselastrasse station) is just around the corner although we preferred to walk along the beautiful main street into Odensplatz and Marienplatz. Its only a 20 minute walk into the city and a few minutes walk to the beautiful English gardens. Schwabing is a trendy area with lots of great shops, restaurants and german bakeries close by. Edeka & Lidl are just around the corner. We are so thankful that we choose this location after looking around the city. We had thought about staying near the train station for convenience but so glad we didn't We will definitely returnFromUS$132.00

Overall this hotel exceeded my expectations but one serious flaw prevents me from giving it a better review so here we go.. Pros: relatively large room (compared to a teeeny tiny European rooms in most places), location is great (very close to a U-Bahn stop to get to city center, lots of restaurants around), breakfast was good (the usual spread of cold cuts, cheese, yogurts,etc), pillows are great (compared to crappy flat pillows we had experienced in other places in Germany). Cons: the place is a little dated, the furniture in the room mismatched, and the bathroom smelled. And not just a little bit...when we came back to our room the first night the bathroom seemed to have developed a strange sauerkraut-like smell. The smell seemed to improve if you took a shower (but not much and not for long). We kept the bathroom door closed at all times to not let the smell come into the room and kept window open to try to circulate the air. Honestly, if it wasn’t for the smell I would give this place a solid 4.5, but it was hard to use the bathroom because of the it. When we left, the sauerkraut stayed. FromUS$90.00

Was staying 2 days in Munich to see friends. Looked for central hotel with parking. The place is nice, I didn’t have breakfast, really close to the metro and a few minutes fast walk from Marienplatz. Regarding the parking, be careful if you have a big car, there is place for only 6 cars and if the big ones are up the front it might be tough to get in reversing as it would be impossible to turn in the little court and you’re definitely not going to want to move it during your stay. Great service. We stayed for a week in this hotel near the English Garden. It is in the midst of Schwabing, with lots of bars, coffee bars, restaurants, Kebab stores, small bakeries, great second hands stores and for me the best of all, near the English Garden, where you can relax amongst green and lakes, and boat rowing opportunities. Lots of bike trails in the English Garden yet also in Schwabing. Lots of public transport nearby. The hotel staff were welcoming, and accommodated all our requests in the middle of COVID19 crisis. We stayed there between November 18-23, 2019. The price we got through a webpage was very good. The hotel is nowhere near city centre but it is very close to a bus stop. The room was big enough to accomodate 2 children and two adults. There was a big, comfortable bed and a fold out sofa. Pillows were as thin as a paper. I had to fold it into four to get a comfortable position. Although there is daily cleaning service, overall, the room was not very clean. Especially bathroom did not look that clean. It was alright. The strangest thing about the room was the place of WC in the bathroom. I do not know what they were thinking when they did that. The room is big, there is even a small dressing room, but for some reason, they had to place the WC right in the middle. All in all, it is not a bad place to stay .FromUS$48.00

We went a group of 8. We booked two bedrooms for 4 people with private bathroom. The rooms are clean and nice, with one table and chairs. The heating was on during the night so was warm during sleep hours. The travel was in December and outside was cold. The only negative point, are the sockets, to charge your electronic device. We had only 3 in our rooms, next to the door. I like when you have in next to your bed. The breakfast is include, enough for the price that we paid.FromUS$38.00

Stayed here for 3 nights. The room itself is typical for European small hotels - rather cramped, a double bed, small chair, tea kettle, small closet, safe, not much else. The bathroom was fine as well, nice water pressure in the shower. My room was bright and quiet and I slept quite well! The breakfast at 16€ is a bit high considering it’s very simple. Make a left out of the hotel and walk a few blocks and you’ll hit a couple of cafes where you can get a great breakfast for half the price. Like most people said, the hotel is simple - I didn’t expect 5-star service or amenities but I do find it very disappointing that there is no gym or mini fridge in the room. I like to keep refrigerated snacks and drinks in my room but wasn’t able to. As for gyms, there are two nearby but the day pass is 25€ - also quite expensive! I wish the hotel had a deal for discounted rates for guests but again, this is not a luxury hotel. All in all, it does the job. Great location, cute neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes and bars.FromUS$77.00

My wrong credit card was charged by the hotel without my authorisation. They refused to sort it out. Booking.com refused to help. The room is run down. There is no door between the room and the shower room. God forbid if you have to share the room with a colleague or child. The shower was dripping and the property on a main road makes the rooms very noisy. The intercom system dis not work. The complimentary tea and coffee was not replaced and I had to ask for it. Then to get what I never asked for ( peppermint tea) The breakfast menu was not made available first day. I was not made aware of hot breakfast options at all. We were looking for a comfy hotel near Munich’s railway station as we were arriving by train and had a business trip to Nuremburg the following day. A quick search confirmed the Hotel Europa fitted the bill nicely. All went well until we got to our room which reeked of cigarette smoke. Fortunately we could open the windows but this sort of problem does not go away quickly. You often read how hotels fine smokers who defy the NO SMOKING ROOM sign – if it was my hotel ,I would have tracked the offender down and slugged a $250 cleaning fee. Housekeeping must have known by the way - but the front desk had no idea. Not a great start. The property is reasonably modern – reminds me of an older Travelodge – and a little tired. Goodies included a fully stocked mini bar, power beside the bed, a couple of chairs and an excellent walk-in shower. The safe instructions are hard to read and there is no iron/board. There is a large lounge/restaurant/bar on the ground floor plus a garden terrace (would be a pleasant spot in summer). We relaxed and enjoyed cocktails at the lounge each evening before dinner from a very limited menu that includes salads, a curry, a burger, skewers and beef ribs. A comprehensive and very tasty breakfast is also served at the restaurant. The staff worked hard to ensure we enjoyed our stay – it’s just a pity a smoker had to spoil the experience.FromUS$94.00

The hotel is a hip hotel, with an amazing music being played at a edgie designed bar. I had a superior room and the size was okish, a smaller room would probably be very small so keep that in mind when booking. Also, what I really missed was a mini bar. It has a really nice rooftop and the whole hotel has a really thought through concept and a pleasant atmosphere. The staff on the other hand is not very pleasant and also super slow. One can sit outside for 20 minutes without being served and God forbid one has any questions for the staff. There was only one girl, Spanish I d say, that was really helpful and nice. Overall, if once really doesn’t care about the staff and the service in the hotel, this hotel is highly recommended (students etc), but if you do, then better to book something else. If they worked on their services and staff, this hotel would definitely be one of my favorite choices in Munich. The hotel I usually always book is Roomers, due to a similar design to this one, but the service there is impeccable.FromUS$117.00

The location is very good, 5 minutes walk to the subway station, and the main attractions can also be reached on foot. Check in check out is very fast. The apartment has a cooking place and the room is spacious. The breakfast is quite rich, and many local specialties can be eaten at breakfast. The breakfast is long enough for you to taste slowly. There is no air conditioning, there is no problem in the autumn season, and I don’t know it in the summer. The fan is quite powerful.

Tulip inn is one of the many trade show hotels around the Munich messe. Located about 4km from the fair ground in a typical (there’s nothing going on but offices) industrial area. Directly located at the 94 highway thus easy accessible. Reception is understaffed and checking/ checkout might take a while. Rooms are pretty basic but clean (no neighbors noise!) breakfast is not to extensive but provides hot food and the typical bread and Cereals. To sum it up, not a place where you want to spend time with a family but a descend business facinity

Just stayed here for a few nights with the family. We opted for two rooms but where double beds were expected the rooms had two single beds put together. The bathroom was very clean and the showers worked a treat. There were very large TVs in each room and the beds were comfortable. Each room had plenty of storage space and each had air conditioning. We opted not to have breakfast, because the hotel was situated about 100 yards from the train station, so we went there instead. Breakfast here was about 20 Euros a head so we walked to the station for fresh food. As you leave the hotel and walked through the passage to the road, you turned right and the train station was right in front, just across the road. Staff were very friendly, there was free wifi and lifts to the rooms. Overall it was a nice place to stay and it was extremely well sited for trains and trams in and out of the city. Would stay here again, if only because it was so well situated being effectively just across the road from the train station.

The location is excellent, but because of the recent construction near the Munich train station, the outside environment has a little impact, but the room is absolutely quiet and comfortable. We brought two children this time. There was no extra money for breakfast. The suites were arranged on the top floor and the scenery was beautiful. The rooms are fully equipped, all electronically controlled, very scientific and technological! PS: The hotel has a rich breakfast, especially the variety of fruits and high quality. There is also a bar that can make waffles by yourself. The children will make their own meals every day, especially happy.

This is a very cost-effective European hotel, the same price, better than the Marriott next door. First of all, the location is very convenient. It is 300 meters on foot from the subway station. The Lufthansa Express Bus at the airport is also at the entrance of the subway station. It can be 10 Euros from here to the airport, 15 minutes. The room was very good, I stayed in a superior room, but the facilities were great and new. There is a capsule coffee machine, there is a glass bottle of water (with a gas without a gas), there are bathrobe slippers, the towel is very thick. The room is very soundproof and the curtains are perfect. Room attendants are well trained and not as cold as most hotels. Book breakfast at the front desk for 26 Euros at check-in, which is a few dollars cheaper than direct signing. There are many kinds of fruits, a lot of fruits, and a handsome little brother will make you an egg roll.

We stayed at Harry's Home for a week. Overall it is good and it suits us very much for the "apartment style" and laundry service. However, if you would like to open the window to sleep at night, you might have to think twice because it is just next to the train station Moosach, where it is absolutely 24-hour non-stop, sounds like the train is going to crash into your room. Apart from the location problem mentioned above, we think the followings could be improved: 1. The laundry service We are staying just next to the laundry room, so it is absolutely convenient for us. We did the laundry twice and the 2nd time we were so annoyed that the staff had locked the laundry room while our clothes are still running inside (we put the alarm so we went there immediately when the laundry was done). The staff told us the laundry service is till 10pm only due to noise problem (lol the train is actually even noisier) which the previous days we never seen them lock the laundry room at all, and so as the day after. To be frank, it is fine that the laundry service is till 10pm. But the problem is Harry's Home did not align the rule and this is quite unfair to people. 2. Noise We are staying just next to the laundry room, and we identified that the root of the noise and disturbance is from the train station instead of the laundry machine. It would be great if Harry's Home could think about changing the policy because most of the travellers return after 9pm, 10pm service is a bit too early.
