1.52km from Le Cafe PonceI was booked into this hotel as part of a tour group that occupied 15+ rooms. I was able to see several rooms and hear additional experiences...none were satisfactory. Other reviews, over several years, note numerous problems which are still occurring today. Bathrooms are in bad shape- numerous cracked tiles, mold and mildew throughout, significant water damage on floors, moulding, ceilings and walls adjoining the bathroom. Kitchenette had additional water damage and the refrigerator in my room stopped cooling after 1 day. The hotel is not air conditioned and, in summer, many rooms are unbearable. Large windows can be opened but rooms facing the front of the hotel are subject to street noise at all hours because of the bars and restaurants in the area. Rooms facing the courtyard have less noise but also less air flow. Some rooms have fans though they are old and not in the best working order. The one in my room made a high pitch squeal making it impossible to sleep while it was on. Safety is a concern. When windows are open, the ground floor rooms can be easily entered. Someone could just step through (which is how some from our group entered to avoid the lobby). There are no smoke detectors. Each floor has 1 fire extinguisher in the central hallway. Electrical outlets in the rooms are limited. There were no unused outlets in my room so, to charge my phone, I had to unplug the wall-mounted TV and balance my phone precariously on the side of the TV 6 get off the ground. There is an elevator but it does not go all the way to the level of the rooms. Navigating a short flight of stairs is still required. Breakfast was served in the basement of a different hotel down the street.
