0.22km from Le Cinque CoroneWe stayed here for 2 nights with one being New Year’s Eve. We had to walk a little way to the hotel from our taxi which is fine as the hotel is right in the middle of town, which is was excellent for location. Check in was great and the lady was very helpful and friendly. Our room was a good size and although we didn’t face the market square we could see it through our window. We had 2 windows although not technically double glazing, but it did reduce some of the noise from outside. We went for a walk and then came back to the hotel for dinner. We went downstairs to the restaurant and had dinner. I have reviewed restaurant seperately, but the issue was we tried to charge our meal back to the restaurant but were advised we couldn’t as the restaurant was not part of the hotel. That is fine but do not advertise it this way. I had to then go to our room and get more cash. We had breakfast the next morning and it was ok, but nothing special. The next night was a nightmare, but it was New Year’s Eve, so expected it to be noisey. But there was fire works from 5.00 in the afternoon until 4.00 am the next morning. This is no fault of the hotel but with not proper double glazing it was very noisy. Also in the hotel we could hear the lifts going up and down and then there were dogs barking which were obviously in one of the rooms. Also the lift did not seem to work most of the time, we asked reception and they said it works but we couldn’t get it to work. Again the last day the receptionist was excellent. The final point i wish to make that this hotel cost on average over $400 Australian which is the price of a 5 star hotel and this is not the case for this hotel.
