2.64km from Le CreopolitainWe recently stayed here for a 4 day mini-break in the sun. I can recommend it to others looking for some sun without travelling too far. The hotel is located in La Seyne sur Mer, on Sablettes beach (as the name would imply!), about a 20-30 minute taxi ride from the main station in Toulon. Whilst on the beach, the water levels are presently pretty high, meaning there's just a thin strip of sand between the hotel and the water. Enough for you to put your stuff down and go for a swim, but not really sun-lounger size. The hotel is upfront about this on its website; apparently it's due to atypically high water levels. This was sufficient for us, but for those who like to use sun loungers on the beach it's just a few hundred meters away to plenty on a very large sandy beach. The hotel building itself is very beautiful - blending both some history and style as well as modern fittings. We booked a 'tropezienne' suite, which features a private balcony/terrace as well as a hot tub. This is highly recommended - the balcony is very private, the hot tub works and is clean, and has a great view on to the sea. The room itself was clean and in good condition. The mini-fridge was small but at least available. The welcome from hotel staff was superb, and probably the nicest welcome/recognition I've received as part of any hotel loyalty programme. It really set the tone for the rest of our stay. In total, the hotel staff were all friendly and knowledgeable, and could not be faulted. Breakfast was available outside and wasn't that busy in our experience; however, it still did have a buffet available which is a bit iffy in these times. The food quality was good. The outdoor pool area did seem busy, and as a result we didn't frequent it - the beach here is very sandy (no rocks or shingle!) and the waters are calm, meaning the beach was the best place to be for us. Location wise, the hotel is in a perfect area for a beach holiday. There is a promenade of sorts with plenty of restaurants to eat at (with each restaurant having plenty of outdoor/open-air seating), as well as a few trendier bars on the weekend. Watersports appeared availbable from one end of the beach, if something a bit more fast paced is desired. If you're looking for plenty of sun, some swimming during the day, and then a nice relaxed meal out, this location is great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others - the hotel itself has considerable charm, the staff are great, and the location is superb.
