We stayed 1 night in Lille and were welcomed by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff member. She was very professional and gave us a lot of tips on what to do and see in the city. The hotel was newly renovated, had a super nice rain-shower-head, big TV and comfortable bed. We stayed on 4th floor and had a nice view of the central station. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean. Parking was just a few minutes away from the hotel and we managed to book it right before arrival. Would definitiely recommend!

If you take the train to Lille, like clubbing, want to experience the old French house, the price is still high. Important attractions are nearby, there are many restaurants, and there is a large Carrefour. However, if it is self-driving, please consider again: the one-way street in Lille is much more than the double-row, and the road maintenance is better than the Shanghai before the Expo; his parking lot is a few hundred meters away. Around a large circle - it is recommended to park the car to the public parking lot of the train station, walk to his home to ask the location of the parking lot, compare the parking fee and then decide whether to move the car. Oh, if you encounter a temporary road closure, don't worry, find a roadside parking space, turn off the navigation, and study the map. I can find it, you can do it better.

When we arrived in lille we went from the main station to our hotel. This was very close. The hotel is in the centre of Lille. First thing we did was the check-in. The personal was kind and helpfull. When we wnt in our room it was smaller then the description, the bed was smaller (it was not a double bed!). The bed aas completely sagged. We could only tikt the windows. Because this it was very hot in the room. Lot of weird people hanging around this hotel. This also means there is a lot of noise. Thanks to the many night shop this noise is the whole night. Breakfazt was mwah. Some small croissant and variants on that. Baguette, yoghurt, bad coffee. Not the breakfast you want your day to start with. All with all terrible.

The location is close to both stations and it is very convenient for shopping. The day before yesterday was also very good, knowing that I left early in the morning and recommended me a breakfast that can be taken away directly. very convenient. The room is quite small and the bed is quite small, but there is no way that it is an express hotel type after all. I also hurriedly stayed. But it is still recommended. The restaurants and hotels on both sides of the hotel have coupons.

Stayed there 2 nights to attend a wedding nearby. This hotel is a short walk from the two main train stations, it’s a perfect location. The hotel opened a few months ago, so it was in very good condition. The entrance is a little odd, but the hotel is hard to miss when you look up. The basic room had enough space and was very comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and polite. The breakfast buffet had a lot of choices. The bar selection at night was fine, and the server was efficient. I didn’t notice much noise from the DJ, but would recommend asking what your room faces.

It is a one-bedroom apartment (STUDIO), the couple have two children (six years old, three years old), the front desk refuses to check in, saying that the hotel regulations do not allow children to stay. I told each other: Before you make a reservation, carefully read your hotel policy, clearly saying that the children are welcome to stay, what is going on. The other party is very impatient. "With a child, safety is a problem, in case of a fire." After that, it is necessary to ask the manager and let us wait. Twenty minutes later, a person who claimed to be the person in charge came out and said that he can now stay. The attitude is very good, but there is no explanation or apology. The above is an objective description of the facts, for those who take the child to travel. Let's talk about the hotel again, the location is good, next to the train station and the large shopping mall, about ten minutes walk from the Charles de Gaulle Square, it is very convenient to eat around. However, the traffic around the people is very large, the personnel are very mixed, and it is necessary to pay special attention to safety. There are advantages and disadvantages for taking children to travel. Hotel health is not up to standard, cleaning is not clean, it is hard to imagine European standards. Hotel hardware facilities are also general. To the hotel ***agement who might have the chance to browse this comment, please double check your hotel policies on children before making it public. Simply saying we refuse you to check in because you have two kids with you seems very rude and inhu***e. Your staff cited the reason of SECURITY to refuse the check-in of children is very ridiculous, however, this is not the point. The point is that you should publicize it in advance, instead of annoucing "all children are welcome"but when children come, you start to say " no, you are not welcome".

This inexpensive no frills hotel has been recently refurbished and also has a new name - Lille City Hotel. Don't be put off by the entrance in a disused indoor shopping mall, the hotel reception is on the 2nd floor. Fantastic location amongst the shops and restaurants and a 15 minute walk from Lille International train station. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom was tiny but more than adequate for a 2 night stay. Overlooked a quiet side street. Not much storage space for clothes, 5 coat hangers? Breakfast is a simple continental buffet, no warm food, but there again, good value at 8 euros per person. Pity about there only being plastic plates! The WiFi is as good as non existent, only available in the reception area and then a largely intermittent service. And they want an email address from you to get connected, maybe that's normal in France? Can't understand the logic of spending a fortune on doing the whole place up and not investing in good WiFi access. Friendly staff and definitely a good place to stay if you're on a budget.

My second stay at this lovely boutique hotel, and it was just as good as the first time. This is a small hotel nestling in between the shops in the old town. It backs onto the cathedral, and my room had a magnificent view of this. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was self service, loads to choose from with a hot and cold buffet. I will be coming back next year.

We stayed here before a few years ago, so on a last minute booking got an excellent price for a deluxe room, at less than a quarter of the standard rate, and less than half the normal price you see it for. We stayed for three nights. For convenience would recommend parking underneath the hotel if you are driving there - at €18 per day it isn't the cheapest option around but it is a big saving on the standard rate of almost €50. We did not have breakfast included, and I would say the breakfast is vastly overpriced being at least €20 per person per day and more if you want cooked items. The room rates with breakfast included did not make it worthwhile either. Go and get some croissants from the Carrefour in the nearby Euralille! Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a third floor room with park view (would recommend higher floor if you can get it). We remembered last time that the rooms had electric blinds inside the windows which were controllable. This time we couldn't find the control panel anywhere, despite it being in the room guide. We called reception and someone came up, only to tell us the blinds no longer worked in the rooms and the control panels had been removed, but the room guides not updated. That's really not 5 star hotel quality at all. So the view from the rooms are spoiled by half open blinds which you can't move. The room itself was otherwise great and is the saving grace - clean and tidy, lots of space to move around, ample space between the beds in this twin room, comfortable seating, lots of lights. The bathroom is large, and the bathtub huge, you could bathe a baby hippo in there. Clothes storage space is a little limited. Turndown service every night, rooms cleaned every day. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided, there is a very small fridge which is 80% full of overpriced mini bar items. The attached ****** also makes the hotel feel much less than 5 star, being frequented as it is by almost nothing but 20-something males in jogging pants and baseball caps rather than the cocktail dress and tuxedo air it is trying to put across. Faded glamour is the essence of this hotel. But overall, if you can get a decent rate, the location and room size are more than worth it.

Our daughters had given us Eurostar vouchers as a present and, with it also being my 60th birthday celebrations, we decided to take a weekend break in Lille. On the strength of Trip Adviser reviews, we booked La Maison du Champlain for two nights - and what a great decision that was! Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for Sébastien, our host. We were able to access our suite early which was greatly appreciated as we had been up since the crack of dawn on the Saturday! The rooms were stunning - a gorgeous lounge area, beautifully decorated bedroom and modern bathroom, all with fantastic little touches, like sweets and bottles of water by the bed, a fridge, bathrobes, loads of towels and nice smelling toiletries. Sébastien was so helpful with advising us on what to see and do whilst in Lille, including advice on the transport and places to eat. We had already planned to visit La Piscine Musee on the Sunday but he suggested we also go to La Villa Cavrois. We are so glad we did! It was stunning and we were lucky to visit on a beautiful autumnal day. Just perfect. Breakfast at La Maison du Champlain was first rate - and Sébastien very kindly sourced gluten free bread and cakes for us as both my husband and I follow a gluten free diet. This was hugely appreciated. All in all, our stay was outstanding in every way. Lille is a very friendly, interesting city but what made our weekend so memorable was the B and B accommodation. We would love to return one day!

The location is very good, just beside the train station in Fran, less than 5 minutes walk. It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the European railway station. It is less than 10 minutes from the hotel to the old city centre. Carrefour, Chinese restaurants and western restaurants are on the doorstep. Eating is more convenient. The hotel is old and relatively clean, but the rooms are small and the European hotels are like this.

Hotel location is right next to the train station, there is a big Carrefour downstairs, shopping is very convenient, the kitchen has basic tableware, facilities are not good, the shower shower can not be fixed, the shower room is too small, health Generally, there was a parking lot, but the actual arrival did not tell, but fortunately, the French side road parking was free after 7:00 in the evening. If you need to clean the room for a few nights, there is a charge. There may be fleas on the sofa bed. My baby is bitten several times. It should be able to live in winter. The price is OK.

This is an old convent that is beautifully converted to a hotel with great rooms, a delicious breakfast, and friendly staff. My wife & I were in Lille visiting family and we stayed here 2 nights. I walked in the park nearby and we were able to visit sites and restaurants in Lille Centre from this hotel. We had a rental car and parked at the hotel for a significant parking fee after finding our way through a maze of one-way streets to get there; much easier to reach on foot.

An excellent option for Lille. My wife and I arrived on Eurostar and within 15 minutes we were at the hotel. It is a 20 minute walk out of the centre (we tried it once) but only 1 stop on the metro (which could not be closer) to Euro Lille and 2 stops to the old town. The metro runs incredibly frequently (a train every couple of minutes or so), is easy to use and relatively cheap (we were there for 3 days so got a 72 hour ticket which meant we were able to use it to get back to Euro Star on the last day - the ticket lasts for 72 hours from your first journey). It takes about 5 minutes to get to the old town. The hotel is in a decent enough area; it is worth having a quick walk down the road it is situated on to look at all the Art Nouveau buildings, and there are enough minimarkets/cafes for basic needs. We did not opt for the breakfast as we thought that 12 euros per person was quite pricey and besides we preferred to pop into a couple of cafes in town. The two members of staff we came across were very friendly and helpful (the young girl's English wasn't brilliant but between her efforts and our 'O' Level standard French we got by) although the staff are only on duty for limited hours. The hotel itself is small and quirky; our room (on the top floor, no lift but not too much of a climb) was spacious, clean and comfortable There was plenty of storage space and a room safe. The bathroom was large and had the usual necessary potions. For what was a cold time of year it was also nice and warm. Would definitely stay here again and advise others to do so.

So, the location is perfect - right on the town square, but actually very quiet. The decor is perfect - quirky and design led - gorgeous and v comfy. Breakfast.- really nice, good selection of good quality items, dining room bit bland though. Staff - only really spoke to reception and they were lovely. HOWEVER, I expect a 4star hotel to have a restaurant - we were extremely hot and tired after our drive from the Loire valley and really just wanted a simple meal in the hotel. Instead we had to traipse though a hot, unfamiliar city, when extremely hungry, where socially distant outdoor eating is an ananema, to find food. Also many restaurants are shut on a Monday, the day we arrived. Also, whilst I understand Covid is an issue at present, provision of a small room service menu that can be left outside the room, should be considered, which would also alleviate the issue of the lack of restaurant.

From the moment the gentleman picked up the phone to take my reservation to the moment we left the building this morning L’esplanade and the people that work there have proven to be of impeccable charm and quality. Arriving yesterday afternoon in this beautiful place was a joy, it’s easy to find and perfectly located to discover the wonderful old town of Lille. Our room, the large suite on the ground floor was incredibly well appointed, stylish and clean. It was a wonderful space to spend time and relax after a long drive. It’s also perfectly quiet, zero street noise. This morning’s breakfast was of the usual fresh French style, various bits and bobs from the boulangerie with a fabulous array of jams. Coffee was of the Nespresso variety, so it was dependably good. My only slight grumble and this is a small detail, is that this isn’t really a chambres d’hôte, having previously owned and run a chambres d’hôte you’re basically inviting paying guests into your home, where they get to sample a taste of authentic French life, maybe even share a meal with the owners, that sort of thing, this isn’t that, it’s a boutique hotel. Apart from that minor branding detail I can’t fault the place and can highly recommend it. We shall certainly return. It’s also worth mentioning that this place is dog and toddler friendly. A big plus.

It is three stops from the Lille Flandres train station. You can go to the train station to enter the subway to buy a one-way zap ticket, you can only do 3 stations (the fare is more than one euro). It takes more than 10 minutes to get out of the subway. There is a supermarket on the street where the hotel comes out. It is very convenient to buy daily necessities. Breakfast is not expensive, paying one person is less than 7 euros. Hotel front desk service is very good.
