The first thing that’s perfect about Hotel De Lutece is critical: its location: On the Ile St Louis, right in the middle of Paris. The island is romantic and charming and quiet and so full of little cafes and restaurants and shops — a magnificent cheese shop is across the street — that you may start thinking you can spend your entire Paris vacation right here. Berthillon ice cream, often spoken of as the best ice cream in France, is located here and served in some of the local cafes as well. The hotel itself is historic and small with a beautiful lobby and a friendly, helpful staff. Our room was on a higher floor with a view across the rooftops of Paris. The elevator holds only two people, typical of historic buildings, but at least it has one! The rooms are of average size, but our bathroom was big. The beds are comfy and the rooms have evert amenity. The wifi was good and the windows open. We met well-traveled friends there, and they were equally pleased with both the hotel and the price. They said they had ended up paying much more per night for an Airbnb in Ste Germain des Pres before we came, and they liked the Lutece so much better. After we had taken a Paris-After-Dark tour in a vintage Citroen, we had some Champagne left, so we took the bottle down the street to the island's sea walls, where we found many young folks hanging out on blankets and the walls and watching the boats glide through the Seine in the dark. It was magical!

Well located very near Notre Dame. Easy to get to via the subway from the airport. Silvia could not have been more helpful. If management isn’t careful she will move out and up. Elevator works fine . Nice lounge area with self-reporting drinks. Four floors. Room 48 looks toward Norte Dame which is partially visible. Room was comfortable and quiet. Umbrellas for use by the clients. Did we mention Silvia was very helpful? When we asked for a restaurant recommendation from another staff member we got the brush-off saying “turn right, turn right, that’s where the locals eat”. We had the most memorable mediocre to poor meal. When we asked Silvia of course we got a recommendation of a place she had been to eat. We suggest Le Petit Chatelet just next door to Shakespeare Book Store about 5 minutes away. We will return. We hope Silvia is still here.

Hotel France Louvre is located on Rue de Rivoli, right near Hotel de Ville and its metro stop, an easy walk from Isle de la Cite and a slightly longer walk from Louvre. It is surrounded by restaurants, shopping malls, small museums, and local food shops. A few blocks away is a great church which has concerts. Tour de St. Jacques is in the opposite direction. We stayed there during the metro strike in December, so, lacking easy transit to the outer arrondisements, we spent more time in the neighborhood of the hotel than we usually do when we travel, and found enough to do within walking distance. The street was quiet even on New Year's Eve, so at night, after the shops close, there's no problem with street noise. On Saturday, there was a fresh food market event across the street. It was great. We wished it were open every day. The elevator is very small, but reliable and quick. Breakfast is served in the cellar for 12 euro per person, but I don't recommend the breakfast. There are plenty of places to eat within a block. Our room was small and needed repainting, but we were happy with it. The bed was comfortable, room service came every day, the shower produced hot water (although it doesn't have a closeable door, which we Americans like but many Europeans don't care about), the TV worked, the windows opened, and there were enough electric outlets (we brought a power strip but didn't need it). The toilet flushed with enough water pressure. The corridors are very narrow outside the rooms, but it isn't so crowded that this is a problem. Front desk staff all spoke good English. There was a Vietnamese girl named Van whom we really liked, and the manager was also pleasant. We never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. I don't recommend the Boulangerie or the Bagel shop the next block over. The Boulangerie has tasty food, but it didn't agree with my stomach. The bagel shop has good decor but mediocre food. If you walk up the street past them to the left, there are a lot of Asian restaurants. The Hotel de Ville pharmacy right near the boulangerie is good. The following attractions are a few too far to walk to from Rue de Rivoli unless you are young and athletic: Tour Eiffel, Arc de Triomphe, Catacombs.

Location, good. View, good. Room, miniscule. Elevator -- tiny, but I think it's substandard because it barely works.... good luck... This is the DUMBEST thing I have ever seen in my life! I have to leave my room key at the front desk EVERY TIME I step outside. And pick it up when I come in. Damn, I'm almost 50 years old and have traveled the world my whole life. I have NEVER seen this stupid, absurd, and ridiculous policy ANYYYYY WHERE. Why is it bad? Let me tell you why. Because it takes TIME to drop off the room key or pick it up EVERY TIME. Because if there's someone at the front desk, I won't interrupt them, naturally, because I'm cultured. OR if the front desk person is on the PHONE, I won't interrupt them, naturally. OR if they are in the back (late night, for example), it takes time for them to see that someone is at the front desk. THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL, so this criticism is aimed at the person who came up with this most stupid and dumb policy. Please step out into the real world and see how other people do it. Oh, and also, a word of advice for people who want to stay here! -- the EXPENSIVE fancy view of the Notre Dame Cathedral... is the SAME ON PRETTY MUCH EVERY FLOOR... MOST ROOMS see the same thing, and have a great view, so need to spend extra for that room.

From London to Paris alone, this location is particularly convenient to check-in attractions and is safe. As long as you bring earplugs and can live in a dormitory with different people, it feels like a great experience. Breakfast is also very good, should stay here next time.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times since 2014, 3 times pre-pandemic and the last recently. The location is fantastic. It is on Rue St. Jacques about a block off the Seine, one block east of the Blvd. Saint Michel. It is a heavy tourist area, with narrow streets and an endless variety of cheap restaurants of all types. But it is so close to so many things -- Notre Dame, the Pantheon, La Chapelle, Luxembourg Gardens. It is wedged between the fashionable 6th and 7th arrondissements to the West and the Sorbonne to the East. Other than location, however, the hotel does not have a lot going for it. On our last stay, we were given a very tiny room, and I mean tiny. It was a double, with maybe a foot of clearance on each side of the bed and no more than about 5 feet from the foot of the bed to the wall. Our booking said the room was 173 square feet, but this was nowhere close. I measured and it was about 120 square feet, including the bathroom and a useless little hall that connected the bathroom to the bedroom. If memory serves me, the measurements of the bedroom proper were about 8 x 11 with a 2 x 6 foot indentation where the desk/minibar was kept. There was not enough room to open our suitcase unless we put it on the bed, which is not optimal to say the least. (See pictures.) We objected to the front desk, and while the clerk was very professional, the bottom line was there was nothing he could do and he tried to convince us that this was a "classic" double and would be the same at any other 3 star hotel. This is not true and does not explain why it would be billed as 173 square feet. The next day we were given a larger room which was 173 square feet and quite adequate, even comfortable. The bed, linens and towels were about what you would expect from a 3 star hotel, no complaints about that. The toiletries were minimal and practically useless. The internet was painfully slow. Housekeeping was borderline. The sheets were not changed, which does not bother me for a 3 night stay, but I don't think we were given fresh towels. The 1/8th inch sliver of soap was not replaced, nor were the 1/2 ounce tubes of shampoo / body wash. Breakfast is not included and unlike most hotels there is no option to include it. Thus you pay full price, which is way too much and has declined over the years. The offering is a couple types of cold cuts, a couple types of cheese in tiny individual wrappers, three flavors of yogurt if lucky, two types of cold cereal, a croissant, a few pieces of fruit, small loaves of bread, puff pastry pain au chocolate and hard boiled eggs. There is probably sliced bread and a toaster. Due to the limited selection, every breakfast is going to be the same. The tables are extremely small, and great care must be taken to fit everything, and we are talking about a plate, a cup and saucer, a pot of coffee and a small pitcher of warm milk. One careless motion and something is bound to land on the floor. One distress

The hotel is in a good location, the rooms are large and clean, new, and the public order is good. The hotel lobby is a glass sliding door. You need to swipe your room card to enter. The room was flat with 2 large boxes without pressure. The toilets are also very large. There are 2 sets of L'Occitane in a house, and a large bottle of mineral water is given away. Walk to the LV main store for 2 minutes, and make early purchase without pressure. It only takes 2 minutes to the Hermes George Avenue branch, and Bulgari is also nearby. If you want to buy luxury goods, you can put it back in the hotel before you continue. Do n’t worry about safety. 7-8 minutes walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe. The only bad thing is that the front desk called me at 10 o'clock in the morning on the day of check-out. This is a bad experience ... The hotel can help call a taxi to the airport. The hotel said the price was basically the same. The cafeteria and gym are located in B1. There is a Royal Treasure in the hotel, not sure if it is the same as Shanghai.

It is very convenient to buy daily necessities and eat nearby, the service is also good, giving a warm feeling. However, the room is super small, simple appearance, the bed is also very small, it is recommended that fat people do not book here. The room I stayed in was very quiet, and the other room where my friend lived was very noisy, because there were many shops nearby that opened late at night, so the room when I checked in decided the quality of the stay.

Stayed at Hotel Panache for 3 nights. Booked last minute and was still able to get a huge room with a double bed and an additional single bed and which also had a relatively big bathroom. The shower had excellent water pressure. Hotel has a small lift which is not always a given in European hotels and is close to Grand Boulevards Metro Station, buses from the Champs D'Elysees and lots of excellent food and bars around the 9th Arr. Staff were very friendly and helpful and helped make the stay pleasurable. Hotel is very fairly priced considering the area.

Our room was absolutely tiny and looked nothing like the pictures. The shower had mould around the screen and the bathroom could barely fit one person standing. Breakfast was minimal, freshly cooked croissants was a huge plus but other than that, very little variety and not very fresh, the pineapple looked on the turn and the cheese and meat looked straight from a supermarket packet. Fortunately we weren't there for the hotel but still, it wasnt cheap for two nights and I had expected more.

I stayed at this hotel during my first trip to Paris in the 1990s. I continued to stay there every year until 2005, when I stopped traveling to Europe for a few years. In 2018 I returned to Paris and Hotel Emile under its new ownership. They had really done a lot to spruce up the hotel even before COVID 19. My husband and I love this hotel because of its great location. The metro is just across the street. There is a great cafe downstairs on the corner and a grocery store, pastry shop, boulangerie, fromagerie, librarie, etc. all within less than a 10 min walk. It is on the edge of the Marais, the best place in Paris for night time wanderings, in my opinion. And best of all, the hotel is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a real warmth and family feeling at the hotel. I wouldn't change Hotel Emile for the Hotel Charles V!

Stayed here for a June trip to Roland-Garros, and the location was ideal, between 15th & 7th. Good metro stops, restaurants, market. The price is a little higher than listed but that's true for any place nearby this time frame. And the comfort of the room made up for it. The proprietors are wonderful, great service, nice breakfast. To our surprise, when we left behind an inexpensive hat, they mailed it to us in the Languedoc at no charge. Thank you!

It’s really bad! Platinum Member! The hotel turned out to be a bad air conditioner! The weather of thirty-five degrees is not air-conditioned! Suggestions, the lobby manager is very unfriendly and free breakfast and a few bottles of water? ? ? ? But for a few single Indian guests (just I know) to checkin the same day! And the manager protested and told me that our compensation is breakfast! I will never live in this intercontinental again! Service facilities are not as good as China's one star! ! ! !

A budget 3 star hotel. It is more convenient to take the subway station for about 7 or 8 minutes. The room was small, except for the bed and luggage, there was no place to go. Breakfast is just like nothing, no surprises. The wine station is very close to Chinatown and it is convenient to eat Chinese food. There is a small memorial hall nearby, which is cheap and good, but sometimes there are many people. In short, if the requirements are not high, it is good to live.

It only takes about three to five minutes to walk from Paris Gare de Lyon to the hotel, which is very convenient. Did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are Starbucks coffee around the hotel, there are many restaurants, and there are also many restaurants in the train station that can solve breakfast. The rooms are small and exquisite, and very quiet. Considering such a convenient location, it can be said to be very cost-effective. Lovely hotel, super staff, comfortable rooms bit small but only what is to be expected. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Our only gripe was the Creole restaurant outside decided to play very loud music from 12 am. It was that bad we went down to complain to reception who did manage to get this turned down but the people in the restaurant continued to be loud. We did find out that the restaurant did not close until 2 am so as we were there to sleep we did not get the best sleep we would have hoped for hence 1 mark being removed.

We had a Queen size bed in a Standard room, as requested. The bed was The Best, as were the linens. Amenities in the room and throughout the hotel were great. The breakfast is fabulous! Waffles, eggs, sausage, ham, soppressata, fresh squeezed orange juice, delicious coffee and cappuccino, dried fruits and nuts, granola, assorted jellies and preserves, yogurt, fresh baked chocolate and plain croissants, danish, and mini apple turnovers-yum! The hotel was clean and comfortable and in a great location , walking distance from Sacre Coeur , Montmartre , Moulin Rouge. All positive. The things i didn’t like was when we were in our room there was a faint tap on door and before we even had chance to realise it was the door a man walked in to unlock the child’s bed. I feel he should of knocked harder and gave us a chance to answer before just walking in. The bar was closed for our whole stay which we weren’t notified of until we got there. Also it was hard to sleep because at 6.30 every morning there was workman making loads of noise right outside our window which I thought was too early and again we weren’t pre-warned about.

The Ibis conditions are quite good, but the surrounding environment is too bad. When we heated the food at the front desk, because of the large amount of luggage, we managed poorly. We didn’t know when someone had taken a bag and was stolen some cash. One person ran back sweating and said that he saw someone taking our bag and he was chasing it back. Then we checked that the cash was gone. But the two of us were too stupid, and thanked each other. Later, the people around me should be the thief... Then we contacted the hotel right away, the hotel expressed anger, but we finally had no right to monitor even the monitoring, who did not know who to take How to get it, can't recover it. Although there are a lot of French policemen around the market looking at the market, everyone said it was useless. .
