B&B Centrale has a good localization right in the limits of Florence´s ZTL - very important if you´re travelling by car - 20 minuts walking from to the city center. The rooms were very clean and new. The owner Alessandro was very friendly and helpfull giving tips and explanations about what to do. Breakfest was also very good. Highly recomended.

Thumbs up! Push the hotel. From parking to nearby supermarkets, there is also a hotel with a great experience. The family has five people free to travel for 26 days, two bedrooms are only 600, a hotel with high cost performance. Ctrip booked two people to stay, the actual day overcharged adults 10 euros a night, can understand. The hotel is 1.5 km from the Baihua Cathedral. From the parking garage, it is a large iron gate, safe. There is a kitchen in the room, Carrefour is within 5 minutes, and you can cook for yourself.

Great place to stay overnight. The apartment is located very close to Main Square, only about 20 minutes walk away. The room is large enough, air-conditioned, with a large bathroom, refrigerator and small kitchen. Gaetano is an outstanding host, very friendly and helpful. He will prepare you a great Italian breakfast.

We visited Florence for the first time, and stay in the La Luna Guesthouse, our host Ricardo was amazing... he advise us on the best places to eat & and drink, and advised us on the best trips to see... help purchase any train ticket for our onward journey while travelling though Italy... we had some great conversation about Italy and Florence where Ricardo was born... he made our stay an amazing experience.. would definitely stay with him again.. the guest house itself is an amazing 19th century architectural building with amazing fresco on the ceilings, tastefully designed.... it’s a must stay and close to all amenities.. 10/10....

We came with a very large group (21 people) and the staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience in Florence. If you're looking for restaurant recommendations, ask the staff! They were able to get us reservations at two really great restaurants. The rooms were simple, spacious, clean, and comfortable. It's not a luxury hotel, but it was perfect for our needs and you can't beat the price. It is about a 30 minute walk to the city center, but it's also located a mere 2 minute walk from a bus stop (line 22) that takes you directly into the city. We used the bus every day and so the distance wasn't an issue for us.

THIEVES!!! I am very angry. We made a reservation directly from the website of "the hotel". We made a first payment the day of the reservation and 2 days later the hotel use my credit card to make a second payment! I sent them a couple of emails with the proof of the double invoicing, I contacted them by phone. In the first time, they told me that they are going to solve the problem and then they stopped answering. They do not answer my emails. So they are stoling people money like if it was normal. Be carefull if you make a reservation with them. There are a lot of bed and breakfast/hotel in Florence, I recommend you to do it somewhere else

it is my third or fourth stay in this little B&B, centrally located at walking distance from both the railway station and the exhibition center, Fortezza da Basso. it is locatd very close the old San Lorenzo market. Large rooms, all renovated, nice and modern design, very comfortable bed, perfect cleaning. Room are equipped with a small fridge, air conditionign TV and a working Wi-Fi. The shower (no bathtub) may be dark in some rooms, but it is not a big problem, at least for me. Normal amenities in the bathroom. A basic but suffcient breakfast. Nice and friendly staff that can also help you in going around and/or booking trips and museums. Indeed very good value for money

This place is more like an "appartment" than a B&B. We stayed in room #4 which has two twin beds and is quite spacious. Upon arrival no one answered the door but when we called their number, someone came to help us within 5 minutes. My advice would be: make sure you have the phone number with you. I guess waiting, even if only for a few minutes, might not be nice when it's raining. We loved the wooden floor, the beautiful ceiling and decoration in the room (simple but in style with the old building) especially our chandelier :-). The bathroom is very modern but consists only of a toilet and shower. The wash basin is actually in the room itself, around a corner, which didn't bother us. There is a water cooker in the room but only tea, no (instant) coffee. So if you like to drink coffee, you have to bring your own. There are lots of TV channels but not a single English or other language one. The room is up a short flight of stairs and then a small elevator takes you further up. The location is just UNBELIEVABLE!!! A 5 minutes" walk from Palazzo Vecchio and 15 min to Ponte Vecchio. There is a taxi stand around the corner at Piazza della Repubblica. There are several good options for breakfast nearby. Would certainly recommend. Hard to beat the price and location!

I mean during the check in the entire time, the staff ignored me the entire time, I understand he knows I was with my friends, but I have my reservation separately, he should handle it by the order, and not just assigned me the smallest room just because I was a single person.I booked the exactly same type of room just like my friends, and their room is twice bigger than mine. And I can only eat breakfast in bed because there was no room to put it. That’s hilarious actually.

Location is good especially for those who likes walking, it will take you 15-20 minutes to reach the Duomo. Staff is very welcoming and friendly: they gave us a map and gave some recommendations about main sights and places to eat. Our room was very cozy, beautiful and clean. Also, the building itself gives you very special atmosphere. There were two bottles of water and some cookies for free in the room while check-in. Breakfast was very good (served in the cafe 5 minutes walking from the hotel): juice, coffee and baked goods (2 pieces to choose). This hotel is a very good choice for its price!

We spent 4 nights at this hotel last week. I always use trip advisor for recommendations and it’s always been on point and very helpful. This is the first time that I just don’t understand all these 5 star reviews. The hotel is on the 2nd floor of a residential building. When you walk into the building, there are stairs to get to the first floor. On the first floor there is a small elevator you can take to the hotel floor. Be prepared to carry your luggage up to the elevator. The room was big with high ceilings. The bathroom was a decent size as well. It seemed clean. The WiFi was a big problem as we couldn’t connect any devices due to their router having a problem. Luckily they had another room available and we were moved because that room had a stronger signal and because I needed the internet for work, I had to agree to pack our things and move. The second room was nicer. The design was better and it even had flowers which was a nice touch. They have a buffet breakfast with few choices and after the first few days, it wasn’t enjoyable because it was the same thing day after day. Bread, cereal, croissants, cheese, ham, Nutella, jam, fruits, juice. The dining area is nice. The biggest problem we had with the hotel was the smell. There was a smell as soon as you enter the hotel and it was even worse in the room and especially bathroom. In the bathroom was such a strong sewer smell. I was so disappointed. I’m not sure if the sewer issue is just in this hotel or others as well. The location was decent. It’s just a few minutes walk from the Santa Croce church and shops and restaurants. It’s about a 13 minute walk from the center where the Duomo is located. With all this being said, the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. They were willing to help with what’s needed.

There are three people in our family, and one double bed can be added to the double room. Hygiene can be good, the bathroom has ultraviolet lights, can be disinfected, air conditioning and cooling is good, sound insulation can also be. However, the hotel is rebuilt in a building with a small environment. The room next to the breakfast hall will be affected by the voice of the diners early in the morning; if you wake up early, it will be less affected. Relative to the price is low!

No elevator, no elevator, no elevator! The important thing is said three times! If you want to climb a narrow staircase to the upstairs with a huge suitcase, you must choose this hotel! The shower room is terrible. The shower has a red, yellow and blue light, and the entire bathroom is colored. Service is general, active awareness is not strong! But a young girl at the breakfast bar was particularly enthusiastic. I had to miss the train that day. She packed it for me early, very good!

Capri Moon is about a 10-15 min walk from the train station. Just follow google maps to get you to the location. It will be hard to find but it is worth it when you find the place. When you get to the building 17 look at the panel for Capri Moon and press the button. Walk into the double doors and wait until they buzz you in the right gate. Walk upstairs all the way to the top and the guesthouse is to your right. Now for the room itself, the beds are comfortable along with the pillows. The restroom is great as well. The pricing isnt bad for the location and if you share with a friend or two, it wont break your bank account.

We, a family of 5, stayed here for 2 nights. PROS: great location. It is right on the edge of everything, so the streets are quiet but it is still close to the Duomo and Accademie. Clean. Everything was quite clean, the floors, bathrooms, beds. Super nice. The owner and his staff are all super I d and accommodating. Free breakfast. It is pretty “meh.” My picky American kids wouldn’t eat most of it. The fruit always seemed overripe and there was other weirdness about it. But they do try. Spacious. The rooms are large and the bathrooms not super tiny. My three gripes about it: It is very dated. The lobby area is probably clean but it looks like your great-aunt’s living room, cluttered with doilies, lace tablecloths and old appliances, so it looks a little grubby. Everything could use a fresh coat of paint. It looks like an older Airbnb vs a 3 star hotel. Our fridge didn’t work. We were there in the middle of a heat wave and would have liked for our water to be cold. The housekeeping turned off the air conditioning while we were gone. It wasn’t unbearably hot or anything but as I mentioned, we were in the middle of a heat wave and after walking all day in 102 degree weather (with a baby in a baby carrier!), it would have been nice to come back to a nice cold room. Overall, I’m not sure I’d stay here again. There are certainly a lot pro’s but the price for a more updated, nicer hotel isn’t that much more. If you’re trying to save a buck, it’s fine. If you’d like to feel happy about coming back to your hotel room after a hot walk about town, I’d probably choose elsewhere.

The hotel is an old palace-like house remodeled, each room is mural, very beautiful. The hotel has only 8 rooms and is a very quiet boutique hotel. The hotel's location is in the heart of Florence, and is far from the main attractions of the core area, close to the Pitti Palace and the Old Bridge, is a region where the locals live more, compared to the main attractions area has a quiet alarm. There are a lot of art-run shops run by locals downstairs, which is worth a visit. There are plenty of local restaurants to try out downstairs. I will stay here next time.

Despite some issues, we liked the stay. Hosts are doing a great job. · The host was very friendly and explained us how to get to the historical center by public transport. We had room for two people with a queen-size (not sure) bed. The room had an extremely high ceiling and a chandelier, but the floor was covered with tile which would fall off in some places. There is a wardrobe, a TV and 3 sockets in the room (which is not enough, in my humble opinion). We had a shared bathroom for two rooms (L'Aranceto doesn't have other rooms, as I understood). The stuff tried their best to keep the bathrooms clean and fresh and succeeded in that, I must admit. Towels and shower gel are included but there was no hairdryer, so be aware. (It turned out you could ask the hosts to get it.) There is also a kitchen and garden in the hotel, which look quite cozy. You can buy products in the supermarket not far from the hotel. Location is good: there is a bus station just around the corner. And at that station there is the best confectionary ever – try pistachio croissants and you will return here just for them.

But the air conditioner is still not good, it feels like 20 degrees. The front lobby is warmer than the room. I don't dare to take a shower in the house. Matteo hosted us wonderfully, pointing out areas of local interest on a map and where to get some lunch on arrival. The B&B is up some 3-4 flights of stairs or via the use of a small lift. It’s very close to the train station - around 5 minutes and also a short walk from central Firenze. Breakfast was delicious - quality meats, cheeses, eggs, cereal, croissants etc. With a great coffee machine. The room was quiet and clean and the bed comfortable. Matteo also let us store our bags there on our last day after checking out and offering for us to use the bathroom which was very kind. He was a great communicator and this was a great hotel.

This is the feeling of the hotel, going out is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, about 7 minutes walk from the train station, not too far, health is OK, there is no elevator, no elevator, no elevator, and the European building floor is very high. The 5th floor is basically equal to our 6-7 floors. My husband has to move 2 big boxes. The bathroom is not in the room, so if you want to go to the toilet at night, you should wear the clothes out. We loved our stay here - the apartment was huge, bright, very clean and had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bed. The location was fantastic - 5 minutes walk from the Duomo and all the lovely restaurants. The price was great as well - especially after we had stayed in a pretty expensive shoebox the night before. The service was really exceptional! We had forgotten our jacket in a taxi on our way to the hotel and without us even asking, they called the taxi service and made sure our jacket was returned. The lady running the place was very friendly and extremely kind. The only issue we encountered was that the wrong address was provided in the TripAdvisor confirmation so we first went to an incorrect location, however when we called the property they directed us to the right place....so please make sure to check the address with the hotel. I chose this wonderfully special ‘home’ to stay in in the heart of Florence for my husband’s surprise 50 th & I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place to stay for the occasion! The location for starters is spot on , close enough to walk to everywhere but slightly off the beaten track so it’s not too busy at night! Our hosts were absolutely amazing , nothing was too much trouble we were given recommendations for a restaurant for one night which was fantastic, help when we were planning our trip to Venice for the day & breakfast adjustments for me being a vegetarian ! The warmth extended to us whilst we were there was that of being with friends which most definitely added something to our stay, Alessio, Josie & the gorgeous Klajda went above & beyond anything I would’ve expected! The place itself Is like stepping back into 18 th century Florence but with a modern twist to make it truly comfortable & the attention to detail is phenomenal! One evening we came back to a bottle of fizz with two very generous slices of a delicious chocolate cake as a gesture for my husband’s special celebration- it’s the thoughtful touches that make all the difference & this place has those in abundance! Thankyou all for making out stay absolutely perfect! Emma & Bill

We have just stayed three nights in this accommodation and found it amazing for the price we paid. It is in a very good location (around 15 mins to train station. 5-10 mins to mercato Centrale, 10 mins to galleria d’academia, 15-20 mins to most other things to see). The host seemed nice in the minimal interactions we had, gave us a map and explained how to get places and said hi each morning as we left. The rooms were clean upon arrival and were tidied each day. Not entirely sure why so many people are moaning about some of the rules you are asked to adhere too which I would say are all entirely reasonable, especially considering the price paid. Very enjoyable and would definitely return on future trips to Florence.

I consider myself very lucky to have found the Hotel St. James on my recent trip to Florence. My travel partner and I arrived in Florence by train in the morning only to find out soon after that my travel partner had accidentally booked us into a hotel 20 minutes outside of Florence! We decided to look for a new hotel and chose the most reasonably priced one we could find online to make up for the money we were going to lose on the other hotel. We arrived at the Hotel St. James not expecting much given the very low price, but it turned out to exceed our expectations in every way! The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Our room, which included a private bathroom, was very large and clean and was cleaned every day. The beds were comfy and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that a free breakfast was included each morning (btw, the breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety). But perhaps the best part (aside from the staff because they were in fact truly amazing), was the hotel's very central location. More specifically, it's just a short walk from the train station and within walking distance of everything you'd want to see in Florence. If I ever make it back to Florence, I will definitely be staying there again. Don't let the low price fool you, this place is a gem and the best deal in town!

Thank you for your sensitivity regarding my husbands allergy to cats. Elena prepared a wonderful Italian breakfast and was able to provide foods for me which met my gluten and dairy free requirements including a delicious cake. Elena also provided us with all the information we needed to see the sights in this very walkable city. I highly recommend this B&B.
