This hotel is only 3 stars not 4.But our room was cleaned everyday and the sheets were changed regularly also the towels. There are 2 pools the lively one and the quiet one ..depends which you prefer. There is also an indoor pool ,which I assume is for winter use There was a good animation team who had been there nine months.they were suddenly replaced by a new one.dont know why .I preferred the original one. The food wasn't too bad for all inclusive, but their butcher needs to learn how to cut up the meat. The best meal was breakfast. But you can always find something to eat .Don't expect 4 or 5 star treatment..Also the cashpoint machine never had money in it and for some reason all cash points I tried in the city didn't accept my visa cards, but were okay with MasterCard. The hotel mainly caters for Russian guests, who like to drink a lot .The private beach is very small,so we stayed at the pools. But all things considered we enjoyed our time there.it was value for what we paid.

This is not a "Brits-abroad" hotel, rather an opportunity to sample local culture. The hotel could benefit from updating here and there but was clean and very well serviced and managed. Location is good, with the shores of the Mediterranean, local marts, coffee shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walk - Monastir is traditional and has an 'old-world' feel. Our room was of decent size. The mattresses looked new and were not too soft and not too firm. Bed linen was spotless. Air conditioning was free and effective - welcome when the outside temperature was touching 40 degrees. Wi-Fi was also free and very good in our room and also in reception. We had a 7 night stay with breakfast which was available daily from 6am to 10am. There was plenty on offer with juices and tea/coffee through French breakfast pastries, cereal, scrambled eggs etc. as well as a range of local offerings which are worth trying. Other hotel facilities included a bar, outside snack bar and restaurant and a child and main pool, both of which were cleaned to a very high standard every morning. Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful which made check in and out easy with support always available for matters arising with transfers etc. Currency exchange was very easy at the hotel and those little accents which make you feel good about service were there too - I had forgotten to take a mains converter plug with me and was readily given one on free loan for the duration of the stay - a small gesture which was invaluable.

Monastir has a beautiful view. The castle on the slopes is a bird's eye view of the curved beaches and piers filled with hundreds of yachts and sailboats. A few hundred meters from the castle to the city center is the Medina surrounded by the ancient city walls. Our Marina Cap Monastir-Apart’hotel is located on the other side of the castle castle. From the door of the room, you can see the light blue and white boats and masts in the levee. At the outermost end of the levee, there are three lighthouses of different colors, which play the role of finishing touches, making the picturesque scenery more perfect. The hotel and other hotels are white-walled blue window doors that look beautiful and elegant against the blue sea and blue sky. Although it is located at the pier, the hotel is safer and the traffic passes through the security checkpoint. The security guard of the office proposed to get on the bus to the hotel and take us to the lobby. Then, go back. Say you want to tip, but you can't come out; say you want to help, there is no smile from beginning to end; say security, he will not let go when he walks in other cars... In short, some are puzzling. Hotel facilities are good, but there are kettles and toasters better; WIFI is not strong enough, the room and room are different; there is a range hood, but the effect is not enough, even if the soup, the fragrance is mostly left in the room. On the top of the city, there is a big castle, which has a birds eye view of the port where there are hundreds of yachts and sailing ships. several hundred meters away from the castle, there is Medina Marina Cap Monastir-Apart'hotel is located in the port, which is downhill of the castle. From the Apartment, we can see the yachts and ships, with the colors of white and baby-blue, And three light-houses standing on the dykes, which makes the view perfect.

We was staying at other hotels with our baby and being moved day by day by our insurance as we could not fly home due to the baby being injured over here, this day the insurance couldn’t find us anywhere to stay so we was on the streets for 5 hours. A woman who works here in receptions took us in for 3 hours until it was sorted, the outside bar gave food and drink for the baby. They literally couldn’t do enough for us. I am so grateful my baby would of been starving if it wasn’t for this hotel. And they did not want a penny off us for us waiting there or the food for the baby.

A good modern hotel, with a great atmosphere, I would like to thank the managers for their professionalism and kindness. The room is spacious with a view of a very romantic swimming pool. The swimming pool is also beautiful, there is also a SPA which is perfect service and staff are always there to check every detail, everything is in favour of our comfort. Even the food is good and of high quality. There is everything and above all calm, comfort and of course luxury. Thank you very much, I will be back soon.

I had more or less pleasure (depends on the moment of my stay at the hotel) to be the all inclusive guest of Helya Beach and Spa Hotel in Monastir in Tunisia between 05.07.2018 and 12.07.2018. It was located in a perfect place – just 1 approx. 1 km from the airport (I’ve never had a shorter transfer before). Very close and quiet – not much noise about the airport. Also just a few meters from the seaside and beach full of white, lovely sand. About 1 km from the metro station (very nice way to take a cheap trip to Monastir or Susse with less than 1 dinar) Unfortunately, it was not a good standard hotel. I’d rather call it below average quality hotel. I was lucky to wait for the room when I came into it only about 40 minutes. There were some other people with small children waiting over 4 hours. Another 3 hours I had to wait for towels, because there were no ones in my room and tired and sweated was dreaming about taking a shower. Food was terrible – not so much choice (spaghetti twice a day, every day, but with no taste and look and some others meals looking very similar) Drinking wine and water was the best solution, because so called cola or strawberry juice was of a terrible taste (sweet but no taste) We were allowed to use a restaurant a la carte once. I was really surprised to be served same food that was in a restaurant next to us for rest of the tourists. No choice given to us, no food position to choose. My room was being so called cleaned every day, but when I came in into it for the first time had to clean shelves and desks to unpack my baggage. Cockroaches were a kind of a permanent fellows in my room. Some of them were really huge ones. Pool bars made their own stories. There was one for three swimming – pools which was supposed to serve beer and soft drinks from 10.00 to 18.00. Most of the time I could hear that beer has just ended (twice I heard it at 11.00 am) or they have some unexpected problems and I was made to go the other bar next to reception (quite far away from the swimming pool) and had to wait in the line for a long time because others had to use that bar as well (a few hundred of people at the hotel). Was told many times I was allowed to take only two beers (there was a group of our collegues and we were trying not to involve all of us into bringing beer and some other drinks, but many times we had no chance for that) Every day there time for snacks between 15.00 and 17.00. Only pizza available. It was tasty, but only two small pieces given to each person. It was impossible to get more for my wife and children. They had to cross a few hundred meters to get to the line, wait and be given two small chunks of pizza. When ask kindly the cook to get more, was being ignored or nearly killed with his scary look. Wi-fi available only in the lobby at the hotel, but getting connected was a mission impossible most of the tries. Not so much animations during my stay. When asked about any chance for a volley – ball g

We visited the Amir Palace without knowing anything about the hotel, just the photos and the ratings. However, we had an unforgettable week, with all the staff always very friendly, helpful and very entertaining. Our stay at the hotel was a super nice surprise, where we met people we will never forget. In this hotel we can effectively live with the Tunisian culture, learn its customs and establish a connection with the people of this country. The pool and beach were fantastic, with the water at a temperature you didn't want to leave. Finally, I could not fail to mention the hotel's animation team, led by Mr Moahmed, an energetic person who can bring us joy. Very well organized, with innovative ideas, diverse and always well disposed. To them a huge thank you for the way they treated us. I recommend Amir Palace to every one.

According to Tunisia’s location, architecture, and friendliness, the room is one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The room is large and clean (I pay tribute to Faïza, the maid like a bee, and look at the cleanliness of the room And I thank her for the maintenance of the technicians, because they repaired the heating, they are very smiling and friendly, in addition to the Moorish cafe (I invited her as many as her colleagues), a group of young people also appeared in the animation. In the restaurant, the staff is the most helpful, and the dishes are varied, especially the "Lemlaoui" dishes made by ladies. On the other hand, the windows of the rooms are very windy due to the lack of seams.

We stopped here for the first week in November for my 60 th birthday. We had a pool view room which totally suited our needs. Only downside was that the bath surface was slippery and difficult to get out of if you have slight disability. Our first day co-incided with the end of the school holidays and was spoilt by children running around and constantly playing with the lifts. After this everything was fine. Had a problem with being ignored by one waiter in the bar but a word with Reception soon sorted this. Overall service was excellent and the Dining Room staff went out of their way to facilitate our needs. They even provided me with a cake on my Birthday which addded to our holiday's enjoyment. I have dietary problems and found the food varied and tasty and perfectly fine despite having read previous reviews on this site. Our cleaner was excellent and made up our room daily. Reception dealt with any queries we had. Indeed my husband who has travelled extensively around the world wondered if we were stopping at the same hotel as some of your reviewers. Two tips that I might give is that a knowledge of French (their second language) would help help and beware the people near the hotel that claim to be hotel staff to lur you to their shop.

Whoever gave the services at this hotel or the kindness of the staff less than 6 stars, (yes you read correctly 6 stars not 5), cannot be helped, honestly! The staff was so kind, helpful, sweet and generous to me. This was unexpected, especially when one has read the low star reviews for services or friendliness on Trip Advisor. Starting from the receptionist Ms Awaear (spelling might be wrong, she had the morning shifts, who organised for me the pick-up at the airport, because Loveholiday- the platform service provider screwed this up), the ever so lovely and friendly cleaning lady, Ms Mona, the chefs, waiters or the bar staff, (Naim Aouidid or Abdul Karim), who went out of their way to fulfill my so many wishes e.g. to get my oats, coffee or fresh squeezed orange juice (yes you heard correctly fresh squeezed orange juice, which hotel does this these days? ) to the General, Manager Mr Ridha Habazi. He really has done a wonderful job in hiring and build the right team around him. I salute you, Mr Habazi! For some strange reasons, I always get a mediocre room when I check into a hotel. This time around I did not have to bother to asked for a room change, because they have given me a wonderful, very spacious room with a beautiful see-view. It was Room 1215. Btw. this was my first time in Tunisia and all the people I have met were so lovely. I definitely will be back soon. Best wishes to all the beautiful hotel staff and happy new year, Rudi

We arrived at the end of January 2020 for a two week holiday. 3 rooms for 5 friends that all met in Morocco 6 years ago. The original holiday was booked with thomas cook and we rebooked with another company . I emailed the hotel a couple of times before leaving and asked for 3 rooms close togeather and if possible a sunny position , they replied and said that they would try to achieve this . The rooms were close togeather but only one was in a position that had sun on the balcony , I understand that requests cannot always be done but as the hotel was running at a very low capacity probably less than 25% during the week and around 50% at weekends I do not know why they couldn’t have achieved this. Rooms are clean and plenty of room and serviced every day. At the weekends the hotel was busy with locals and Algerians no problem for us but the state of the dining room was unacceptable, no hand gel or sanitizer at the entrance of the restaurant which especially now with the Coronavirus it’s a must. They would go straight to the dessert table and strip it within seconds of entering the restaurant and fill their tables with as much food as they could . Utensils not being used to serve food . I also witnessed an Algerian smoking yes smoking at the table in the restaurant this is completely unacceptable. When they left the tables the table cloths would be completely covered in food waste and a majority of them would also take food out of the restaurant dispite a sign asking customers not to. The food was very similar day to day but I was so confused why there was boiled cabbage and boiled carrots for breakfast! Nobody even the locals didn’t Eat it. Our waiter whom we had most nights was very attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. Now I noticed a scam in the restaurant involving alcoholic drinks and certain waiters ,either waiters are drinking it or they are selling it to non all inclusive customers ,clever if you can get away with it but if I noticed within a few days the head waiter restaurant manger must be in on it or they are blind , I even told one waiter that I noticed what was going on and he blushed when I said I had noticed . The hotel is having to take in locals to try and get some money coming in since thomas cook pulled out which I totally understand but they still need to adapt to cater for everyone. One afternoon we noticed every body was very attentive and working hard even the sun beds lined up it didn’t take long to realise that some v.i.p.s were present ! The entertainment stall Sam Djoe and a young lady were very good trying to get people involved with activities but were not over pushy ,considering there were various nationalities they did very well , mind you they had a boss who be seen now and again but what he actually did I have no idea . I did make a complaint to the the restaurant and I did ask to speak to the hotel manager but conveniently never available, I did manage to speak to the reception

We stayed at the Medina Solaria and Thalasso in Hammamet from March 6th to the 13th 2020 on 7 nights all-inclusive offer from Love Holidays. On arrival to the hotel, we were greeted warmly by Ines at the reception. Throughout our entire stay she provided insightful advice with warm and friendly customer service. We checked in to a lovely spacious clean well-maintained room with an ocean view. We like to express our deepest gratitude for the cleaning staff at the hotel for maintaining a very clean hotel. Each day we had a great selection of Mediterranean cuisine from the buffet. The hotel food is top notch and the service at the restaurant was very professional. The food makes this hotel a perfect all-inclusive destination. The bar service was generous. The hotel is ideally located to take several excursions. On foot we explored Yasmine Hammamet and its’ medina. We took a yellow cab to old Hammamet to buy spices and visit its’ medina. We hired a private driver to take us out to visit the following sites; the UNESCO World Heritage site - Dougga, Kairouan, El Djem Amphitheatre, El Djem Museum, Monasrtir Ribat, Sousse, the National Bardo Museum in Tunis, Cathage and Sidi Bou Said. These excursions with the private driver were taken on three separate day long trips. All in all, we had a fabulous holiday at the Medina Solaria and Thalasso and highly recommend it to anyone considering a holiday to Hammamet, Tunisia. Thank you very much Medina Solaria and Thalasso for making our holiday a very special memorable one.

This review is for a 10 days stay in September of 2019. I have to say that the 1st impression was not very good, after arriving in the room, there was sand/dirt on the floor (and mold in the back wall), and the shower had pieces (i really mean pieces) of someones hair. It looked like it was not cleaned at all. The phone was dead (and it stayed dead until we leave) and the tub was dripping, and the door blocked every time we opened it (but it was fixed on that night). After all that, in the days after the things got better, room was better cleaned. I have to say that the safe is not for use (unless you pay for it - even in 2 stars that dont happen). Speaking about the good things: the location is a must... very good, with beach, medina, markets and everything you need nearby. A lot of place to park the car. The food at the reataurant is very good, with a lot of variaty, for all tastes, and they change everyday (only the desert was a bit disapointing - lots of the same). I went with half pension, so i had to buy the drinks (but thats ok), whats not ok is everytime you order a drink you have to pay right away. it unconfortable paying everytime you want a need drink (they shoud have a system where it shoud be registered in the room number, and them we could pay for everything at the end of the dinner)- or somethings else. Also the foos should have tags (because sometimes its difficult to identify that is the meat). With all that, I really have to say that the waitress were very amabile, and i have to specially thanks to "Saleh", because he helped us everyday, very enjoyable, prestative a being a really good employee. People like him really made or stay more enjoyable. The breakfast is superb :) i will miss those crepes :) The last thing i have to say is about the beach, is beatutifull...... but.... very dirty (as you can see on the photos). There was a lot of algae, but no one cleaned. Other client made a complaint, they came to the beach (all said "yes, yes yes") but from day 1 to day 9 the beach was the same (the path we marked to pass, stood there all the time, soo not new algae... old one not cleaned). The beaches from other hotels were better, so that made us not relaxing at our own beach and search for others. On the other side, the pool is delicious........ really! Good environment, good music, and.... clean water. In the end... if I would go back, would I stay there again? YES, without thinking twice :) so i recommend :)

I could not wait to check out of this place. I know that tourism is seriously suffering in the region so hotels are empty BUT; this was more like the overlook hotel from the shining. Long empty corridors with dim or no lighting. the whole place seemed dirty and many areas were just closed, lights off even though you could walk there. The photos shown on website and the ones here that are their professional photos are a great example of photoshopping and filters. Had to check out of my first room. It looked completely different then the one I booked and even though I showed them pictures of the differences the front desk manager said 'its basically the same" I booked a room with a tile floor, they gave me a room with full carpeting that was worn and stinky . at one point the electricity went off in the room and they had to come service the electrical panel. half the spa and hammam was shut down. breakfast was just okay. the dinner menu was so bad, I drove to town for my meals. beds were probably 15 years old judging by how soft and depressed they were a fruit basket was in my room upon arrival. it was partially rotting and had bugs!

It's great to have a big bed room in Tunisia with the money for a normal room in Turkey! There are floor-to-ceiling windows! And a swimming pool! You can also watch the sunset.

When my husband and I first came here back in 2015 we loved it. Couldn't fault it. Fast forward 4 years and the hotel has went down hill. Our room view was facing parts of the hotel that had looked abandoned for years or burnt out (see pics) There was graffiti on the walls (see pics) in the halls carved in the wood. Now I know that can be tricky to remove but it just made the hotel look tacky. the carpets in the hallways were worn and smelly. The hotel just seemed to be lacking tlc. We were told on arrival they would bring us a cot for our daughter (11 months) which they left sitting in the hallway outside our room with no mattress in it. My husband had to ask reception for one which I thought was pretty poor on their part. The cot its self looked old and worn out. Don't get me wrong parts of the hotel are well maintained like the reception and the pool area (see pics) but for it being a 4 star we thought it just wasn't as good as what it used to be. The air con system in our room was loud and made screeching noises when we put it onto maximum. The balcony furniture was a mess and shabby had paint stains on them from the walls. The service however was fantastic. The maids came every day and made our beds looks lovely and the kitchen staff were amazing for us. One guy in particular (I've forgotten his name) would Always keep us a table and even decorated it with flowers and petals(see pics) Was really lovely and he was taken to our wee girl. Mini disco for kids was poor. We only took part 1 night. The female entertainer looked as though she was ready to fall asleep trying to dance along with the kids. I know they work long hours but there was lack of effort to bond with kids we found most parents were up dancing with their kids to keep them happy. The animation staff where great. They held daily pool games and interacted with all the guests. I also Had a 50 minute massage session in the hotel spa but the receptionist in the spa was moody, seemed fed up. Had a face like thunder and looked as though she would rather be elsewhere. The massage itself though was fab. Despite the dreary purchase I would recommend the spa. Overall I would recommend to stay as it is ok if your not fussy But me personally i won't return. I just didn't get the same feelings and enjoyment as I did the first time. I think it's just maybe noticing how it's less maintained in places and parts of the hotel looking poor.

Visited with my partner for a 2 week all inclusive holiday!! The potential is there to be amazing but needs a massive helping hand. Out room 3615 was basic but extremely clean we had a fantastic maid who every day of our holiday made our bed changed our towels ensured we had bottled water she is a credit to this hotel. The entertainment team work tirelessly the energy and effort they put in during the heat of the day is amazing. The pool life guard needs to put his phone down and do his job as I saved a little boy who had got out of his depth!! The food is extremely repetitive and nothing as any labels to indicate what it is!! Also keep an eye on the chicken very very pink!!it is not really catered for English, we ate out for most evening meals.was out of 60 dinars (£18 approx) will get you x2 filet steak chips vegetables rice and a sauce and 4 beers. The drinks are very limited and the vodka, gin, and rum all tasted the same and had the same odd yellow colour too them!! If your a Sprite drinker take your own!! The drinks set up in the main dinning room is crazy 300 people all trying to request a drink from 5 poor waiting staff at the same time leaves extremely long waits to get a drink with your meal!! Your not able to go get your own soft or alcoholic drink you have to ask!!! The pool bar as the lowest collection of glasses ive ever come across anywhere in the world!!! One day we was given a drink in a yellow pot tumbler that was in the bathroom!! The real let down for us was the horrible obnoxious man in the pool side snack bar in the blue shirt who thought he was god. This was brought to the attention of the hotel manager who I must say dealt with the issues around him extremely effectively. I got food from there and was charged for it I paid it not thinking and once served too me was told "come tomorrow between 12.30 &2 that is free" so we did the rude horrible man in the blue shirt tried to make out he did not no what I was saying when I asked for a cheese panini kept saying "no no no" he refused to give me cheese to make a sandwich, angry I went to see the hotel manager who was lovely and told me I could have cheese and I should not of been charged the day before, later that day the manager came to me with a refund of what I paid the day before full of apologies!! Just keep your wits about because no matter how many tips you give there is always some out to pull wool over your eyes!! The beach is a good 5 mins walk throw the hotel grounds there is a large number of sun beds in a private section be careful as there is a lot of touting (camel rides ,horse rides , selling cigs, selling towels). By the pool the constant badgering of henna tattoos, beauty treatments, and the man who does not take no for a answer to go on a "free" trip courtesy of the hotel, its NOT free it is to a rug shop run by his family and when you don't buy a rug he get aggressive and angry. This hotel is situated a 6 dinar taxi ride from yasmin and old

I loved this hotel everything was great and the staff was very nice and welcoming and management was very helpful with all our questions the food was very nice and alot of different varieties the indoor pool is stunning and great in the winter time the locations is exactly across the Pier and ocean and the ocean view room is amazing. The only dislike would be that the rooms have an old feeling but I guess its supposed to be a rustic Tunisian style. Greetings from Libya ❤️❤️❤️

This review is well overdue, but i am just getting round to it. Where do i start.......... We are repeat guests at this awesome resort we have been here about 5 times in past 4 years. This is a family resort and if you come here you wont be disappointed. This hotel has just gone through a major refurbishment and the reception is just spectacular. Well Done guys!! a job well done. We were supposed to visit in April but Africana was closed so we had to change to Manar which is also another of magic life's awesome hotels in Hammamet, but we did get to visit Africana and one the managers gave us a tour around the hotel amidst the renovations which was nice of her. But we had the pleasure of staying in August after the refurbishment was complete and it was fantastic. We had great time. staff very friendly, rooms are awesome and they do connecting rooms which is brilliant as we are a family of 6. All the staff from the reception, housekeeping, gardeners are all helpful and always have a smile on their face and have always been extremely helpful. Rafiqa was from house keeping and always did an amazing job, a lovely lady. The reception guys too many to name are all awesome. All the waiters in the restaurant especially Khalid who always looks after us Everyone is so friendly, it actually feels like a second home . The Hotel is exceptional throughout, really clean rooms, we normally have a family room it was fantastic. The food is out of this world, so much choice for all of us. kids and adults you'll be amazed. The entertainment is fantastic and the entertainment team were fantastic and friendly, during the day time and night time entertainment. Karim is awesome and does an amazing job of getting everyone involved. The bars have a wide variety of drinks and best of all the mocktails they do are brilliant. The wonder bar is open 24 hours. The kids loved the slides and the beach is awesome. sandy beach with blue sea. The beach bar also good and serves food, and the all inclusive water sports are awesome. This resort ticks all the boxes and i would highly recommend to any family with kids. Would definitely return , this is am awesome hotel with awesome food, and staff. We have already booked for our next holiday to Africa Inshallah (God willing)
