We stay two nights in this hotel. It was worth, the location of the hotel is fantastic for the view. In fact we had a nice room with a balcony facing the sea and the islands, every morning and every evening it was a pleasure to enjoy the fresh air and the quiet atmosphere. The hotel is not close to the city, for which you need to have your car or a taxi to reach it. No good public transportation in the area. Hotel has a Private parking. Nevertheless, the day we visited the island of Ischia the staff provided us a round trip to the port and back, so we did not have to take the car The room was spacious, clean as well as the bathroom. Even though I would have appreciated to have a refrigerator (frigobar) Breakfast basic. Very good free Wi fi. Other main highlight is the staff, very friendly, helpful, they make you feel part of the family-staff. Thanks to Gino, Fabio, Claudio, Piera I highly recommend it

My boyfriend booked this hotel as he thought it would be nice and quiet for us. First night we had a group of teenage boys from Sicily on a school trip with their three teachers. From the moment they arrived the noise was unbelievable. Shouting in the corridors. Playing music. Banging doors. I went to reception and they did absolutely nothing except call the teacher who refused to come from the restaurant as he was eating his dinner . I went out myself and came back at 10:30 and I could still hear them from the floor above so I had to pay €90 and going to sleep in another hotel which was absolutely wonderful. A little bit more expensive but not much. As my boyfriend paid for the hotel I sadly had to come back and stay here for two more nights. Twice I asked him to clean the room and it wasn’t done . The next day we had a group from Japan arrive. Around 30 people who are very loud at 6:30 am leaving the next morning. They all came out of their rooms at the same time shouting to each other banging doors and wheeling their suitcases along the corridor which of course is made from Marble is the noise was unbelievable. I had to go down to reception in my pyjamas and coat to tell them to tell them to shut up. Tonight I’ve just got back and there are two more tall groups coming so I think I’m going to have to pay another €90 and going to sleep in another hotel because I can’t bear it here . They gave us a paper do not disturb sign this morning unless you’re standing outside the door you do not see it. They don’t seem to care they just say sorry sorry but they really don’t care. I demanded to see the manager twice he wasn’t here I’ve asked for a refund nothing has happened. They gave us a paper do not disturb sign this morning unless you’re standing outside the door you do not see it. They don’t seem to care they just say sorry sorry but they really don’t care. I demanded to see the manager twice he wasn’t here I’ve asked for a refund nothing has happened. The bed and pillows are hard. There are no tea making facilities. The skybox doesn’t work. The eggs and sausages were freezing cold at breakfast. This is not a 4 starhotel. It is just a posh hostel for two groups. It is in a terrible location in industrial area of car showrooms. There is also the smell of the volcano when you open the windows. Reception made me feel as if I was complaining for nothing but when you stay in.a 4 star Hotel you expect better. This should be downgraded to a two star hotel/hostel. I have looked at the price and it is cheaper to stay here and when the room is cleaned . it is very clean but I would only stay here if you are staying one night and also on a tour I need very little sleep and need to be woken up at 6 to 6:30 am when all the other tour groups leave. .

My girlfriend and I spent a week beautiful week here and conaidering it was our second visit the impact was as magical as the first. The residence is perfectly situatuated for easy access to all of the local sites and public transportation to Naples is within walking distance. The premesis is very clean, quiet, and the views leave nothing to be desired. We are certainly looking forward to out NEXT TRIP here and enough can not be said about Claudia and her attentiveness. She made sure that we had everything we needed as soon as we needed it. In a perfect world this would be our second home

We loved this hotel. The view from our sea view room was beautiful. Beds comfy. Its not a large hotel so it has a more personal service. The breakfast was very nice - served from 7.00 am to 10.00 am. Scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, croissant, hot rolls, toast, cereals plus a raft of cakes, fruit, yoghurts etc. They were very good and let us take breakfast up to the room for my sleepy teenager. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was lovely. Always enough sun beds. Yes there is a strange odour at times, but he hotel is right next to a Sulfar Volcano, so it smells a bit of egg sometimes. There is a shuttle into Pozzuoli which is free of charge. This finishes at 8.00 pm, but there is a taxi rank in the town which will bring you back for 15 euros. We would definitely recommend. There aren't lots of facilities for children to keep them entertained. My only recommendation would be to provide some balls for kids to use or something to play with. Probably best for couples, but our boys still enjoyed the pool.

Carmela was a fantastic host, even arranging transport at a cheap price for us from the airport (half price to normal). And then creating us as we arrived. The room is one of four of an old apartment. There is an entrance area that acts as a communal kitchen and from this you enter your room. The whole has been recently refurbished and renovated to a very high standard in that the rooms surpass many hotels. The bed is memory foam with memory foam pillows and was very comfortable. As for location, the amphitheater Flavia is right outside, immediately outside. Also turn left and the old port town with its restaurants and bars is but a 10 minute walk. I wish Carmela all the best in her endeavour, it is so nice seeing someone investing a lot of effort and expense to create something, modern, clean, comfortable and functioning B&B. Well done

The hotel, Villa Avellino, is situated in a magnificent position overlooking the Golf of Pozzuoli which is beautiful 24/7. Close proximity to beach, harbor and train station(s). Staff was extremely helpful and approachable in all areas and provided excellent service. Room (junior suite with look over the sea) was very roomy and well equipped for three persons. Actually, the hospitality, curiosity and warmth encountered in southern Italy was so superior to what we, as Scandinavians, have to offer.. If there is a couple of small hick-ups and here I stress that I’m picking on the nitty gritty stuff.. and is just as well meant as positive constructive feed back to the hotel management. The breakfast was great, but I think that in 30 degrees some cooling plates under the cheese and salami would improve the look of it – at a very low cost. When a bistro is advertised on the home page it should not be closed upon arrival. Not that it would matter to our use but it goes to the credibility of the marketing of the hotel. The rooms were by far the best experienced during our stay in Italy (Rome and Castelgandolfo being the other) but still shoved, in some areas, a little bit of “saturation”.. Hotel exactly as described on web site. Located near port and convenient to many shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the 3 sites of Nettuno, Seraphide and the amphitheatre, also just beside Rione Terra. Staff friendly, good fresh breakfast. Rooms spacious and well furnished with comfortable bed and fast shower. We had room at top with huge furnished terrace and fabulous view of the bay. Beware however if you have any mobility issues as there are 85 stairs up to it and no lift!

Not a terrible hotel, but certainly an OK one. There is room for improvement. We started our stay by checking in after hours— which was nice of them to accommodate, but also a bit difficult. It was hard to get oriented without someone showing us around. The signage at this hotel is poor. It was hard to find our room, hard to find an elevator (we were told there there isn’t one to the second floor, only the third floor (?!?), which turned out to be false)… Regardless, Make sure you stay on the first floor if you have a lot of luggage. And it was impossible to find the fitness center. Even though I looked for it, I didn’t find it until I was checked out. The room was OK. Small but not bad with a little bit of a view of the water, which of course was the highlight. That’s the highlight of this hotel in general, it’s relatively close to the water though not right on it. I didn’t love the neighborhood it was in nor its position, but it’s better than staying in Naples and it seemed to have one of the better locations of the hotels in this area. One of the main reasons we stayed at the hotel was the spa (they have an amazing variety of options for a small hotel). Mixed results found here as well. The spa could use some renovations or touchups. Numerous of the items they advertise either not working, or in rough shape. And even though the hours are extremely frustrating in their limitedness, even when you go in as prescribed, some of the amenities are not up and running. The sauna was barely warm when we used it. So even though we stayed at this hotel mostly for the spa, definitely be aware of their hours ... for some really stupid reason they have different hours during the week versus weekends, and the hours are way too limited, especially if this is to be considered a highlight of the hotel. It is hard to go out and explore Naples and the coastline and be back in time to experience the spa before it closes and it is impossible to do before you go out if it doesn’t open until the afternoon. It was also strange that they kept all the windows and doors to the spa open to the courtyard, allowing you no privacy in your bathing suit, much less to keep the heat in an area you expect to be warm/hot.
