We are a family of 5, we checked in in this hotel last May 10, 2019. Generally, the hotel’s building looks new and modern. Check in and check out were fast and efficient. The rooms are clean when we arrived. The hotel is located near many different establishments and an amazing park. Now with the negatives, the room air conditioning was really poor. There was no way for you to open the windows and it was very hot inside the room. Second, the room had literally little to no space for the luggages. The room was very narrow and it was truly difficult to move around. Third, the restaurant staff was rude. During dinner, we were asking for still water because they gave us two bottles of sparkling water. The waitress was insisting that it was still water even though it clearly was not and we even showed her that it was fizzy. She even had the audacity to tell us that the fizz was just in our mind. We answered her that she should try it if she thinks that it’s all in our minds, to which she answered, “oh I will” in a sarcastic tone. Of all the restaurants in the world that we’ve been to, this was the first time we experienced such treatment and it was horrible. Overall, we definitely did not enjoy our stay in this hotel.
Great hotel. Good service: the staff was helpful and friendly. Beautiful rooms well equipped. Complimentary beverages. Excellent toiletries offered. Shower and towels are great. Bed is soft. Room is not very big though. Super clean bathroom, tables and wardrobe. Not sure about the cleanness of the moquette though. Position is not super central but in 2 tram stops you are downtown. Dining scene in the neighborhood is not top. Better to go downtown. Breakfast good (excellent viennoserie; coffee ok; cheeses good; basic bread; good eggs but the sausages were a bit spicy for breakfast). The fire alarm went off for an issue on another floor (apparently something to do with steam). Good to know the alarm works, but wish they replied from the central desk when I called, just to know what was the issue. Corridor doors close when the alarm goes off so we were locked out in the hallway. There is complimentary wifi as well but it doesn’t charge pictures for some reason.
Found the hotel quite easy, but had to park across the road in a tight fitting public car park. Baggage had to be hauled over a busy road to the hotel. 17€ for a 24h car park- one time entry only. Critical points Room was cold as air con failed to work overnight - seems to have a timetable of its own. Regardless how cold it was. Room was also dark and in need of an upkeep. Headboard of the bed was badly wasted away and should be changed by now.. Dinner was cold platter only, and mainly vegetarian. Service a little slow. The advice at concierge was not very helpful in finding a restaurant nearby. Price / quality ratio under par. Having said that the corner room was spacious, although no wardrobe - just a hanger.

The hotel is not grand or elegant, but it's fine. Our 4th floor Superior room with balcony was slightly larger than a Classic room. Technically, there is a mountain view from the front of the hotel's top floor to the left and right of the hotel, but you have to be on the balcony to see it; the view across the street is of other buildings one or two floors higher. Check-in was easy & efficient even though we arrived an hour before the official check-in time. Our rate didn't include breakfast, but there is a croissant shop and a breakfast bar within a half block away. The Grand is just inside a traffic-free pedestrian zone but the street still gets delivery & street-cleaning vehicle noise. Grenoble itself is a bit worn. We stayed 3 nights & took 2 day trips to other towns by bus. (The Funiculaire Saint Hilaire du Touvet, about 30 minutes by bus, & the spectacular & rural Lans en Vercours, about 45 minutes away, offer lovely mountain scenery.) A wonderful lunch at the tiny Lo Zafferno (Italian) in Grenoble's old town was a culinary highlight & service was excellent.
It’s not a bad place to stay, in the grand scheme of things. It’s a shame that the room was backing on to an abandoned building, but you can’t blame the hotel for that. The rooms are rather small, making it quite difficult for two adults to move around at the same time. Some very friendly staff were able to understand my very limited French, which was much poorer than their English. A good continental breakfast selection, but I do think the prices of their spirits were rather on the high side. Overall, a reasonable stay.
I stayed at this hotel for the third time. The reason for the selection is that the location is particularly good. Going right and going straight is Hugo Square. The station of the tramway square tramway B can be seen, it is very convenient for the luggage to catch the train. Facing the Hugo Square to the left is the Galeries Lafayette Mall, or the old street of Göller, which is also a pedestrian street. Hotel breakfast is European style, it is ok, it is almost the same. There is a parking lot, but I don’t know if other problems have not been encountered. Attached to the window to see the photo, this restaurant tastes good. However, it should be noted that the check-in time has not arrived, the main station may be no one, many French apartment hotels are like this, so the time should be mastered.

This Grenoble hotel provides parking on site. When it comes to Grenoble hotels, the Loft Romantique Hammam Spa Privatif Playroom is highly regarded for its excellent facilities.
Visited Grenoble for a conference and stayed here for five nights. The room is cozy but with all necessary stuff, and very clean. The breakfast is great with various cold and hot choices. The price is quite reasonable in view of the location, close to both train station and tramway. Perhaps the only drawback is that there is no air condition in the room, which might be an issue during hot days, but the hotel provides portable fans. Do ask for a room facing the street, so you will have floor windows.
The friends we went to from the airport were very convenient. It would be great if we took a taxi directly. Then the front desk service was very friendly. We stayed in so many hotels and felt that the price performance of the hotel was very high. Recommended
I have always stayed in this hotel with my family every time I have visited Grenoble. It is very conveniently located just behind the Gare (railway station). Bus stop, tram stop, grocery stores (Carrefour), open markets like Saint Bruno, Estacade markets are just a few minutes walk. Insite of its location, the hotel is very peaceful and quiet. Love the croissants kept for the guests in the reception. The rooms are very well planned and snug with all supplies. We were provided with a bottle of olive oil, pasta sauce, ready to eat pasta, banana chips, salt, sugar, cafe, basic utensils during our stay. Strongly recommended. Cleaning happens every Thursday, but they don't clean if you are not in the room. I see that as the only downside.

I came to participate in an interview with Schneider Electric. For the convenience of coming and going, I chose this hotel very close to the train station. Because it is a budget hotel, I didn’t expect much before I came. However, the front desk service and room hygiene are particularly good, and the front desk is small. My brother also helped to print 10 pages of documents for free. Ordered breakfast for 9 euros in the morning, just to get enough food and clothing. If you like to eat better, I recommend going to a nearby coffee shop to try hot croissants and chocolate.

The time of year (end Aug) was not very busy so the room was extremely quiet. I turned off the fridge and the (efficient but not totally silent) AC to have complete silence. The kitchenette is a nice plus even if I didn't use it really for a 1 night stay. The "desk" is very small though. I would also suggest an anti-slip feature in the bath/shower. The mattress was good (firm) and all the laundry fresh and clean. Reception & personnel very efficient and friendly. Late arrivals are no problem and it's less than one minute walking distance from the TGV (and public transportation) ! Breakfast was ok.
