Great staff, clean rooms, well kept grounds, Staff available 24 hours, no coffee or phones. Large TV, decent size bathroom. Community microwave, filtered hot and cold water available onsite, refrigerator in room. Don't be put off by location or motel age (1930's). It's well taken care of and Mission road provides easy access to many parts of the city. The clean cabin/cottage style rooms might seem minimal but are more than adequate and provide a cute, quaint look at the past. Pros: clean, great staff, easy access to two freeways, easy access to a couple of hospitals (LAC-USC and White Memorial), all room and parking access isp past the office, lots of cameras, good showers, comfortable beds and pillows, A/C worked, rooms are not wall to wall. Cons: parking can be tricky if no vacancies, took a long time for the water to heat in the room I was in, A/C fan was noisy. This one is both good and bad: Not much in the area, which means not a lot of odd activity. Again both good and bad: it's not a resort. There is a convenience store, laundermat, a take out restaurant and Lincoln Park all in walking distance.

The hotel decoration is a bit old, but it is convenient for transportation. Close to Union Station, convenient for subway. There is breakfast, although there are not many varieties, there are fruits, and there are water purifiers on each floor to provide purified water, which can save a lot of dollars every day. After all, it ’s expensive to go out and buy bread and water. In addition, the hotel was opened by a Chinese. No deposit was required upon check-in. Next to it is the old Chinatown, like a small county town in China. The old generation of Hong Kong and Cantonese settled here, so there are more Cantonese restaurants, and overall it feels behind the domestic Chinese! There are many tramps in downtown. For dinner, the cost performance of a Chuanyang restaurant next to it is pretty good.

When I arrived to check in the man at the front dest openly discriminated against me due to my disability. I have a permanent disability and am accompanied by a service dog. When I went to check in the man at the front desk demanded paperwork and identification from me for my dog. Not only does that not exist in the US but it is illegal for business to ask for paperwork. Whenever I travel with my service dog I bring a copy of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) to help answer questions and explain when there are problems. When I showed the man the section on paperwork and what hotels are allowed to ask he told me that it didn't matter and that he is required to ask for paperwork. I was very calm throughout the entire altercation and tried to explain nicely that what he was asking is illegal. At this point my boyfriend got worried that I was taking so long so he came in the building and saw what was happening. The man at the front desk then proceeded to say that if I didn't show paperwork he was going to refuse me service. He claimed that he was allowed to deny me service for any reason. I explained that denying me on the basis of a disability is discrimination and not allowed. I had made this reservation in advance and had no back up plan for overnight accommodations. When I asked what I was supposed to do he told me he didn't care. At this point my boyfriend called the police and we went out to the parking lot together. Within a few minutes of being in the parking lot the man from the front desk came out to say that he was wrong for asking for paperwork. He then proceeded to blatantly ask what what my disability is. This is not only illegal but highly personal. I responded by saying that my dog is a medical alert and response dog. The man was not satisfied with that answer and again asked what my specific disability is. Eventually he gave up and let me check in but it was a very poor first experience with Super 8 Hotels. During my entire stay I was on edge and stressed. Every time I walked through the lobby to go outside I could feel the man glaring at me. I had originally planned to stay in this hotel again on my way home from my trip but after this experience I cancelled and chose another hotel that was much more accommodating. I understand that people falsely representing service animals is harmful and this man has probably had bad experiences in the past, but as a disabled person with a legitimate and highly trained service dog this was not okay.

We chose this motel because a friend was having out patient surgery at USC. This was very convenient and in fact, across the street from the ER entrance. I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable rate for the area. Free covered par was a big plus. Walking distance from several decent restaurants. The room was clean and quiet except for a little street noise. The heat/ air conditioning was working well and provides white noise if you need it. The staff was available and polite. There is no lobby only a check in window. The water was hot and soap, shampoo etc was provided. Small fridge and microwave. You have to make a short walk to Starbucks for coffee. I was glad I keep an extra blanket in my car as the linens are a bit skimpy. Over all not bad at all.

I stayed here on New Year's Eve. The bed was very comfortable (better than the other 2 hotels I stayed in before and after on the same trip) The free breakfast was really good. Hot waffles with fresh fruit. I stayed at a different motel the following night for $60 more and wished that I was back at the Knights Inn. Cons: sketchy people hanging around in front of the hotel, and in front of the liquor store directly across the street, staff at breakfast seemed to be in a bad mood, breakfast was served in styrofoam and plastic.

This is the first co living spaces I have ever stayed at and I am honestly impressed on the style and the way the environment is built. It felt good to chill out in the upstairs dining room that was full of decor, a comfortable couch, and has a very new york loft kinda feel to it. The instagram follow for a towel was pretty cool. The showers and bathrooms were clean, Hector was real nice while giving me a tour and plays excellent pop music throughout the day (: The tv room was always the best area to be in because it has a living room feel to it and the hammock, and light decor was really cute ! Definitely PodShare is the way to go if you want to save money on expensive hotel stays or motel stays if you're not gonna be there all day anyway because there's lots to do in LA.

The hotel is located in the small Tokyo area of Los Angeles. There is a subway behind the street. Traffic and security are relatively good. Say the overall feeling: advantages: the surrounding environment is good, the security is good, there are supermarkets, subways nearby. About 20 minutes walk to Union Station. Tip: The hotel is a simple hotel, toilet, bathroom is shared. There is also a communal laundry room and a communal kitchen. I stayed in a one-person room, a small double bed in the room, a desk, and a closet. Insufficient point, knock on the blackboard, wall crack tips. This time I stayed in room 34, the room was next to the air-conditioning main unit in the next building, and the main unit was running at 24 o'clock and resonated with the chandelier in the house. I asked the uncle of the building, he said that it is the air-conditioning host of other homes, they have no way, and did not give room exchange. I went back to the room to sleep with earplugs for three days. Fortunately, I brought my earplugs. Finally, the hotel reception or management is an old Japanese person who can communicate in English or Japanese.

If you want to stay near Little Tokyo this hotel is perfect. There is another hotel close by, the Doubletree but I only saw it from the street. The Miyako is a little bit of Japan right away. Check in was easy & fast. My king size bedroom was very large & suited my needs. The bathroom has a nice tub & a Japanese style toilet (Bidet). If you have been to Japan you know all about this toilet. Due to COVID issues most of the dinning venues at the hotel were closed, so no Japanese breakfast. The 1 restaurant open had limited seating outdoors but I did not use it. Little Tokyo is 2 blocks away & that area has so many small restaurants & wonderful shops. The area is not the greatest, but still safe to walk around at night. I walked from the hotel to the Amtrak station (Union Station) & it was about 15 minutes. I would recommend this hotel & look forward to returning when things are back to normal.

The hotel is located in the center of the city, which is relatively safe, but homeless people seem to be the standard here, and generally not unsafe. The solution is relatively affordable. The hotel parking lot is $ 38 a night. It is recommended to go more than 200 meters away from the hotel. It is next to the Fedex office. There is a $ 10 parking lot opposite Honda Plaza. If you walk near the city, you can. Not only, it is often available overnight, if you want to go to Hollywood Walk of Fame, Universal Studios, it is recommended not to live here, quite far away!

It's a big place like Los Angeles, and the room is so small, I feel drunk too. It is too small to open the luggage, which is inconvenient to open. I specifically explained that I want a quiet room. The garbage truck on the street started to pull garbage less than 5:00 in the morning. The staff talked. I thought the window was not closed. As a result, there was no window for you to open. It was just a piece of glass with light. Just come in. A small refrigerator, placed on a shelf, but not in a cabinet. There is nothing in the refrigerator, but it is plugged in, and the operation noise is noisy all night. It will collapse when you live one day. No one will help you. Carry luggage. No one asks if you need help. Is this still Los Angeles I know? The beds are ok, moderately hard and soft. The location is good. It is convenient to walk everywhere, and around breakfast. Walking on HIlls street towards 3rd street, everything is there. May not stay here next time, unless there is no choice.

Hollywood
Amy Bloch, the Concierge, contacted us about 2 weeks before our arrival asking if there was anything she could do for us either setting up any tours, restaurant suggestions and reservations or anything we might need. After asking for suggestions on restaurants she did send me quite a selection of different types of restaurants along with things to do around Hollywood and Los Angeles. When my friend and I arrived Amy greeted us at the front desk, welcoming us to the Roosevelt Hotel. The entire staff from the front desk, the guys at the valet parking, housekeeping and room service were outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Everyone at the hotel, especially Amy made our stay simply fantastic. The Roosevelt Hotel is the only place we would stay in Hollywood.

Los Angeles International Airport Area
Because of the proximity to the airport, the sound of the plane taking off and landing has never stopped, quiet is not enough, and I can sleep. The hotel room did not actively provide slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste. It was okay to call to ask the housekeeping to arrive. The bathtub has no glass door, just a plastic shower curtain. The shower faucet is fixed to the wall. There is a free shuttle to the airport 24 hours. The driver also helped to carry luggage up and down. The service was good.

My family has been using the Anza hotel for all of our trips to the Calabasas/LA area for the past 4 years or so, and we love it here. I hope we can continue to rely on the Anza for years to come. Beautiful rooms, superb location, and best of all they allow pets! The prices for rooms are very reasonable and they all have a nice "boutique feel" to them which adds something special. I want to add an extra note about my last stay here, which took place during the first days of the Covid-19 outbreak. I traveled alone without my husband and child to Calabasas/California because I needed to be with a gravely ill parent who soon passed away. Being able to stay in a comfortable hotel during this awful period was such a comfort to me, and I want to add that Ryan, who works at the Bistro restaurant and bar, was especially great to me during this time. Ryan prepared delicious meals for me, got to know me and my love for an evening glass of wine right away, and was a warm, friendly presence when I came home from the hospital at night (and in later days, came home to the hotel after days spent making final arrangements). Ryan and the team at the Anza who continued to work during the stressful days of Covid-19 "stay at home restrictions" were truly a blessing to me and I value, and am so grateful for, their work on the behalf of me and other guests who really needed a hotel stay for emergency reasons.

Everything was on point! All the staff were very accommodating! I arrived early Saturday and I was lucky to get a room early. Which helped a lot since we were on the go per our Soccer Tournament. When we needed a space to have our potluck in the evening they helped with our set up. Everyone was very friendly and customer service was amazing!
