Been here for one night. The hotel is in the southern part of the city, not the best part. It is easy accessible by car and public transport. At the time I was staying, the hotel was being renovated. The windows in my room couldn't open, so I requested a new room, because the airconditioning was off in the entire hotel. Staff was friendly and cooperative to give me a different room. The new room wasn't finished (holes in the wall etc.) and not entirely clean. At the ground floor of the hotel, there's a busy restaurant with lots of people walking in and out of the hotel, unsure if everyone is a guest there. If you are looking for a cheap stay in Rotterdam this is a choice you could make. Or you might spend a bit more money and get the comfort you're looking for.

We stayed here for a city trip to Rotterdam. On the way home, we were thinking of anything negative to say about the hotel and the only thing we could think of, was nitpicking on the fact that the toilet door is not sound proof (it's a glass door for some privacy, but there's a gap on top). Otherwise: - It has a great location, close to a subway station and tram lines. - Our room had an amazing view to the south, looking out over the water. - The room itself (we booked an executive room) was amazing: incredibly spacious, very clean, great minibar, USB and regular power sockets next to the bed, there's a switch for wired internet if you want that, an amazing TV with Netflix built in, an amazing bed that was super comfortable for us (the mattress is fairly stiff, but we prefer it like that). - The bathroom is larger than it needs to be (the hair dryer is in the hallway closet, if you're looking for it) and the shower has amazing pressure. - Breakfast (served from 7 to 12!) is well worth it, lots of choices... - The parking under the hotel has plenty New Motion electric car chargers which you can use for free.

Modern hotel in a very cool building. If you’re lucky, you’ll have a great view of the city. Rooms are spacious enough and convenient. Two minor points concern a curtain that did not fully keep out the light and a AC that wasn’t fully adjustable, whatever we tried. But would go back!

We stayed here for a night and it was perfect! It's a famous hotel and building because of historic view. The service is excellent all over. Nice and friendly staff from reception till bar and restaurant employees. The room was perfect as well. When we entered the room we were stunned about the size of the room and it smells and looked very clean! Nice bathroom with walk in shower. Free shampoo, soap, shower gel. Smart tv with national and international channels. Breakfast is Eur. 20,- and perfect as well. Fresh bread, cake, sausages, beans, scrambled eggs etc. If you want an omelette or fried egg, they'll make it for you! In the evening you can have a drink in the cosy bar or have diner in the great restaurant. If you want to have a nice experience take a watertaxi next to the hotel. Metro station at 700 meters. Free wifi. We will be back for sure! This is by far the best hotel in Rotterdam!

In January, 2020, we stayed four nights at Hotel Pincoffs. We had not visited Rotterdam before, and staff at the hotel did a great job answering our questions about tram connections and how to get to our destinations. In addition to having great staff, our rooms was clean, comfortable, and we had a beautiful view of the harbour. After the fourth day of our stay, we mistakenly thought we had booked for five days. The hotel showed us our reservation, and the error was ours. The hotel was not able to extend our stay because it was fully booked...but they did find us another room in a nearby hotel and assisted us to move to the new location. They were so nice about everything. I’ll definitely stay there again, and I highly recommend this hotel to others.

It doesn't feel as good as it was written in the evaluation, the facilities are average, and the rooms are generally not too big. The location is remote and suitable for driving there, parking is free, this is rare. There are stains on the sheets, I don’t know if they have not been changed or washed, and the sofa is not clean, so the sanitary condition feels very average. The service was very good. Someone came to repair the refrigerator immediately. Because of the epidemic, there was no breakfast, so there was no way to comment.

After visiting the city numerous times over the last couple of years, I genuinely consider the Thon Hotel Rotterdam the best hotel in order to trully enjoy a safe and convenient stay, at least from my point of view. The main reason for that is the location. Near enough to the center of the city so as to visit stores/shops or places to eat (mainly around Witte de With or Markthal - 10 minutes on foot), yet in a very quiet neighbourhood ideal for strolls or even long walks. Even when I have about half an hour to spare, I particularly enjoy walking to the gorgeous Het Park or crossing the bridge for an opposite view of the city. Moreover, most museums are near the hotel and it always feels very safe even after midnight/early morning. I have stayed in a variety of rooms at the Thon Hotel and they all share a spectacular view and I would recommend the Riverview suite in order to get the most of it, at a fair price, again in my opinion. In addition, the Hotel is clean and everyone at the reception is polite and helpful. What is more, there is a metro station nearby or a tram line (no7), connecting the hotel to Rotterdam Centraal station. I would definately recommend the Thon Hotel Rotterdam to those that seek a peaceful and relaxing stay.

Our stay was really great! The beds are extremely comfortable (we went to a party and we managed to sleep during the whole day like we where at home) The decoration: our room was really cool (the club room) with shoes on the ceiling. And the common areas, like the reception/living room is really cosy. We loved it! (you can charge your phone devices in the living room while you play card games or have a nice conversation with other travelers while drinking a cold beer). The free breakfast is really good (strawberry jelly, ham, cheese, pindakaas, chocolate sparkles... COFFEE and tea, I don't think you need more and if you do, you have a supermarket nearby) All the people working in the hostel are SUPER kind and the ambiance is amazing. Next time I go to Rotterdam, I'll stay at this hostel FOR SURE :)

Checked into this hotel which is steps away from Leuvehaven metro stop, really useful for getting about. Really short walk to many good restaurants and also to the maritime museum and water taxi. It took about 15 mins slow walking to get to the market hall. On arrival we were greeted by really friendly and helpful staff and shown our room on the 3rd floor, we had a great view over the harbour. Room was small, but clean and had everything you needed. Tea and coffee facilities are available, but no milk! The spa on the 8th floor is great for relaxing, the pool is small but fine for a quick dip, the sauna and steam room are great bonus too. The sunbeams are placed so that you can enjoy the view outside. There is an option to visit a nude spa - where swimwear is forbidden -we didn't visit that bit. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, the usual buffett but also a nice range of pastries and breads and dried fruits. Staff are friendly and efficient and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. No issue in recommending this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Rotterdam. It would have gotten 5 stars but the room needed updating and brightening up, 2 black walls and dark purple voile are not really very 'fresh' feeling. I think refurb has started but we were maybe in an older part of the hotel.

Had a waterfront room during the current rainy period and the views were still great of the quayside. Hotel is peaceful and friendly. The quality of the tasting menu in the restaurant was very good indeed. Staff at breakfast were very friendly with a nice greeting on arrival. In summer when all the doors are opened to the seats outside the atmosphere should be brilliant. I managed to trip over on broken paving stones by the Metro - not hotel fault - and staff were very helpful and fast with bandages. Metro is 30 seconds from hotel. I was very happy to stay here and will be back in the summer!

Due to the COVID-19 situation, we didn’t actually visit, however, I feel compelled to write this review to stress how outstanding the customer service was from the hotel, in particular from Laura Dancewicz, Reservations Supervisor. Myself and 25 friends were due to visit from Saturday 23rd to Tuesday 26th May on a stag do. I initially contacted the hotel in December to make a small change to the booking, cancelling one of the rooms for one night. This was done by Laura with minimal fuss. Obviously, the COVID pandemic then struck and we were keeping up with developments across the globe and Europe anxiously, waiting to see whether we’d be able to travel. In early to mid April, given the restrictions in the UK, it became apparent we would not be able to travel. Throughout the whole pandemic, Laura was an outstanding beacon of light in the customer service department, responding to my numerous emails quickly, efficiently and with a positive outlook. At all times, we felt fully up to date with the latest updates from both Accor, who own the Ibis brand, and from the Dutch government as to the restrictions and refund policies. We were immediately offered the chance to move our booking to another date within the next 15 months for no charge. This put us at ease straight away knowing we had this option. As we approached our intended travel date, our preference was to cancel the booking and obtain a refund, rather than reschedule, given the complete uncertainty at present with travel. The hotel was able to reopen two days prior to our arrival date and, as per the companies refund policies, we therefore would not be eligible for a discount. However, Laura, sensing the angst amongst us given most of us are still out of pocket due to cancelled flights, managed to make special arrangements and secured us a full refund. This money arrived back in my account within 3 days of me providing my details. Laura was simply outstanding throughout the whole process and is an absolute credit to the hotel and to the company. We have no hesitation that, when safe to do so, we will be rebooking with Ibis Rotterdam, and that is in no small part due to the excellent service received from Laura.

Stayed at the Hilton Rotterdam for a weekend during January. The room, on the executive floor, was well appointed and functional although I would have preferred a proper door to a bathroom not a sliding one! The executive lounge served a great breakfast as well as evening drinks/ canapés which I think were worth the extra cost for access. The one downside to the hotel was the noise from “boy racers” in posh cars revving up and zooming by the casino opposite at ungodly hours. It’s a shame the local authorities don’t try to do something about it but if this is the norm for downtown Rotterdam (I live in Central London and it was worse than Knightsbridge in the Summer) then really the hotel should do more to soundproof. Tip: My room was 1011 - perhaps even numbered rooms, facing the other street, would be quieter.

This is the first hotel we stayed on this business trip, and the only one with breakfast. Breakfast is buffet, relatively simple, almost the same choice every day. The buns are delicious, with some slices of ham and cheese, and a fruit salad. I like the milk cereal area. I make a bowl of chocolate milk cereal every morning, but the milk is not too hot. Breakfast is full. Check-in on the first day, because I arrived earlier, I waited until 6 o'clock until 11 o'clock, I couldn't check in because the rooms were not cleaned up. After leaving the Rotterdam Central Station, turn left and go through 2 small intersections. The facade is small. It rains in the dark. It is not easy to find. It is easy to find during the day. Close to the train station, the transportation is convenient, and there are many shopping malls around, but the same things are much more expensive than those in Germany. There is no wardrobe, it is open, and the hanger cannot be taken off. Bring your own toiletries and slippers, but have a kettle. The heating is good, neither cold nor hot, and the temperature is the most comfortable in the three homes.

The room was nice enough and the bed and pillows was comfortable. But... - The teeny tiny cups provided are not suitable for tea. (Or a decent sized cup of coffee come to that) - The teabags supplied in the room were very limited. 1 each of three flavours. - No milk was included in the room All the above were overcome by collecting sensible size cups and additional teabags and milk from the 2nd floor, but this should not have been necessary - There was no way of plugging the sink in the bathroom, so when shaving I had to have the tap running so wasting water - The lighted shaving mirror provided would be fine for anyone no taller than 140cm! On our last night, the all the restaurants were closed due to the coronavirus. Not the hotel's fault I know, but it might have been helpful if the staff had put up a sign informing guests - we ended up walking the streets for 40 minutes trying to find an open restaurant because we did not know they had all been closed Then when we returned to the hotel and asked about where we could get something to eat, the desk staff completely failed to tell us that we could purchase sandwiches on the 2nd floor of the hotel.
