Hotel Goldener Hahn should not be called a hotel. The service is (was) the lowest I have ever experienced during 30 years of travelling around the globe. Besides this the staff is very impolite and rude. It seemed as if nobody was having fun at his job in this so called hotel, which actually is a pub with some old fashioned rooms. I did get the impression that all of the staff, where suffering from some serious depressions. At arrival they asked me if I would like to use a breakfast.” Yes, around 7.30 hours please” was my answer. Later that day a second person (an Arabic woman Shalabi I think she was called) asked me again about the breakfast. I referred to my first conversation on which she responded that breakfast only was possible after 8 o’clock. The next morning I walked down the stairs at 7.30 hours and it was still totally dark. I than decided to walk out in order to buy a breakfast on the street. At that moment a woman entered the hotel. She was going to make my breakfast, so she said. I had to wait for 20 minutes until my breakfast was ready, and it was a very poor breakfast. I immediately did tell her that this was the first and last time that I would have breakfast in there. The room did not have a safe deposit box, neither a refrigerator. The curtains are old and dirty. The water from the shower was so cold that I just sprayed myself wet quickly in order not to freeze. After 3 nights I did leave this place at 8 o’clock in the morning. As nobody was there I just dropped the key and left. I will never go there again.

We moved to this Hotel after we could stand the cheaper hotel zum luin no more. It’s lovely. Nice big comfy beds. Air con. Lovely shower and bathroom and hairdryer. Mini bar and fridge. Tea coffee making facilities and lovely breakfasts. Staff friendly. The only negative was the staff member said we had drunk a bottle of coke out of mini fridge that we hadn’t. We had our own bottle. No big problem as they didn’t charge us. Lovely breakfasts. Gown and slippers in room. Bedding changed every day. At 36 degrees we found it impossible to sleep without the air con. No noise at all. Lovely place.

I have had the pleasure to board this hotel for numerous times in the past months and I am completely satisfied. It's situated just a short walk from the old town area of the city of Duisburg and is easily reachable by train or car. It features stylishly furnished and decorated rooms and all the rooms come with a small balcony. There's also neat restaurants around the corner as well as a little burger and pizza joint inside the loewe hotel where you will have to pick up the key for your stay. Lastley the owners are really helpful and forthcoming. Nuf said, anytime again...

This time I went to the Rhine Opera House in Duisburg to watch the opera. I didn't want to find this hotel on the google map. It was next door to the opera house. I had a good evaluation and the price was not high. Not as I expected, the location is excellent, next door is the Opera House, opposite the downtown square, less than 1 km from the train station. All aspects of the facility are good and cost-effective.

We stayed there for only 1 night. Our large dog was accepted with no problems. The room was clean, but a bit dated. The beds were comfy, there was free wi-fi. The room had no kettle, mugs, tea,... We stayed at the top floor and it was very hot - no air con. Once the windows were open, it was noisy from the road. There was a free car park available. Overall - good place for a short stay.

Stayed here for couple of nights and found the hotel tidy and comfortable. Especially rooms on the new "non smoking" side are great. - Shower is hot and great pressure - Clean and soacious rooms - Easy access to freeways - S bahn station (30 min to Dusseldorf) and supermarket (Penny) next door - Good breakfast (great fresh bread) - Restaurant had yummy food Only down sides to this hotel: Restaurant can be noisy if hired out for functions at night, people gathering at the front of the hotel and smoking (smoke comes all the way to the reception).

Our greeting was he host from the hotel in the street telling us where to park. A first, but welcome after a 7 hour drive. The hotel is small but very friendly and welcoming. The room was a double room overlooking our car. This was ideal as we could keep an eye on it. The room (a double / twin) was small but incredibly functional. The bathroom was easily the cleanest I have ever seen in a hotel. The bed was clean and tidy. A desk was provided with tea and coffee (not the norm). The hotel only supplies breakfast for meals. This is enough to set you up for the day. Cereal, bread, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit etc etc. The pool was a little cold on our first morning trip but again clean, with towels provided on the chairs in the pool. The sauna is available on request (30 minutes notice) and costs 10 Euros. Our host could not do enough for us. We have to leave at 06:20 on the day of departure and he says "just take what you need from the breakfast buffet for the journey" and here is some foil to wrap it in.......it doesn't get better. There is a tram stop five minutes away to get you into Dusseldorf. Shops and a Shell petrol station also 5 minutes away. A real find. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I would highly recommend this hotel, if you are traveling through or into Germany. Duisburg is just over the Dutch/German board, an ideal place to stop. The hotel very clean and the rooms are very modern. We found the staff, very helpful and friendly. There is some hotel parking, but loads of on street parking, in this quiet residential area. It is in walking distance to a very nice Chinese restaurant, shops and even a Lidl, should you need it. Added to this with it's competitive price, some 20 euros less than hotels 10 minutes away over the border and only being two minutes from the motorway, it's an ideal place to lay your weary head. Oh and it has dog friendly rooms.

It is very convenient to get out from the airport. It is only a five-minute walk away. Below the hotel are various shops, supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel looks very high-end, the front desk staff are also very enthusiastic and polite, and the epidemic prevention measures are very good. The room is relatively large, the mattress is soft and hard, the pillow height is also very suitable, and the TV is particularly large. There are also many small details for guests to consider. The only flaw is that hygiene is not so perfect. But in general, it is worth the price and it is a very good experience. I will bring my family back in the future.

This hotel, the environment is OK, the best thing is the location. Especially during the epidemic, friends who need to do PCR and LGM accounting and testing at Frankfurt Airport are the first to recommend this hotel. Centogene, who does PCR, is downstairs of this hotel and can be reached in two or three minutes. It takes five minutes to walk to the check-in counter at Lufthansa for returning home from Terminal 1. It is only for flying to China from the medical center🇨🇳 The inspection center of LGM for passenger inspections takes only ten minutes at most! There are various fast foods and supermarkets nearby, which are particularly convenient, so that it will give birth to a sense of happiness inexplicably. In terms of service, solala🤭 it; I stayed in the hotel for three days, one day, I cleaned the bathroom, or, I called the room service and asked; for the remaining two days, there was no waiter to clean, maybe it was an epidemic The reason is ignored!

The hotel is 2 km from the railway station in the center of Fran. It is very convenient to take a taxi to 10 Euros. This is the best hotel room I have stayed in. The room is not facing the street. It is a park that sleeps very cool. It is more than other super five-star hotels. I am from When Paris fled, I met a very good German guy who wanted to pay tribute to him. We stayed in the twin room that was booked late and left a big bed. The German guy actually followed me upstairs and raised a bed for me. I am linking wifi. I want to say that Mercedes-Benz is Mercedes-Benz Hilton or Hilton. Thanks again to the German guy who is on duty that night.

The CP value is very high and the location is very good. There are Chinese supermarkets and German chain supermarkets nearby. The hotel is just off the station when the hotel is transferred out. The door is fine if you pay attention to it, and the lobby is pretty beautiful (especially the price) There are two free drinks for myself. The 50-square-foot suite of the book is large and the decoration is wrong. There are two rooms that can be separated. There is a coffee machine. The windows are large enough. The view is wrong. The short male attitude is good, help me google not tolerate the nearby German sausage shop, be patient, all my friends from the car are allowed to go to the toilet. The location is good, just next to the train station, we left the group that day, and we arrived at the train station for a short while, and the little girl at the front desk of the hotel is very beautiful. Like Barbie, the breakfast at the hotel is quite rich. The drinks in the small fridge in the room are free to drink, and there is morning tea in the morning tea. Compared to other hotels in the surrounding area, the price/performance ratio is very high, the location is quiet, the rooms are clean, and it is very suitable for transit passengers. Private cars can't drive to the hotel, take the s10 from the train station (on the 22nd platform on the second floor), stop at the station, and then call the front desk to help with the luggage. The small train station is very stylish~ The night scene is super beautiful, blowing the Huawei p30. When shooting the night scene, everyone pays attention to safety. There is no fence in front of the platform where the flag is inserted. There is a tower that can climb to the second floor to shoot the night scene, that is, the wind is too strong at night... The scenery is also invincible in the daytime~ The breakfast is very rich and delicious, the room is clean and tidy, the drinks in the minibar are free, and the city tax of 2.5 Swiss francs per person is required for check-out.
