An amazing hotel, we really enjoyed our stay and I couldn’t recommend it any more. The check in process was very smooth, we were even offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival. We arrived earlier than check in, however the hotel offered to look after our bags free of charge while we explored which was great. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very cosy, modern and comfortable, perfect for a city break. The bed was very comfy and the TV had 6 English speaking channels, we also had a drink in the IZAKAYA bar which is attached to the hotel, it was quite expensive with cocktails being around €15 each however you can tell it is an upmarket bar in a trendy area so you can understand the reasons for the prices. The location is great, it’s around a 20 minute walk into the ‘centre’ of Amsterdam, however the area the hotel is in is very trendy and has lots of great shops, restaurants, cafes and even a market, we will definitely be returning to Sir Albert :)

Overall, the hotel is nice and well located, surrounded by the main museums. There is plenty space in the bedroom. The furnituries are new as well as the bed, bed clothes and comforters. I would say that the room where I stayed was bad illumintated. My only complain is that the hotel did not enforcement what his staff said to me about the breakfast price. It was offered to me for 8 euros per person per day. When I made my check out I was obliged to pay 18 euros per person per day. To me it seems to be a normal practise at that hotel, since I did not see any token saying the breakfast price. Be aware too, when you are making your check out, the hotel will charge city taxe of you. In my case I had to pay 50 euros.

A small B&B in a classical nicely refurbished Amsterdam house. The room was large, clean and equipped with fridge (and free (!!) beer, water, nuts, cheese etc), water boiler and coffee machine. Good WiFi. Well located a very short distance from the trams that rum very frequently. Close to local restaurants in de Pijp. Jasper was very helpful and nice - Thanks - you are definitively a part of the nice experience! The breakfast at 15€ per room was both good as well as very good value for the money. Yes, there are stairs as in all the Amsterdam houses but that should not be a worry unless you are very very big.

Really good stay considering what we paid! Hotels in the center were just completely out of the question they were so pricey. We settled for this easyHotel and I’m so glad that we did as the location incredible. When I booked this hotel I was abit hesitant as it seemed to be far away from the center but I can honestly say that it was only a 10 minute journey from standing in Dam square to get the the door of the hotel. Very easy as it was only 1 or 2 stops from ‘rokin’ (Dam square) to ‘ deij pip’ (the hotel) even better how the hotel was a 30 second walk from the meteor station. We bought a 3 day travel pass for €15 before we went and definitely got hour money’s worth as it was so easy to move around. Onto the room, it was small, basic, clean and functional! I couldn’t really fault anything. If your out of by the shower , don’t be as you really can’t see through ( me and my friend actually found it quite comical) also something that I wanted to know before I went was if there was a door to the toilet. YES the door from the shower opened to close the gap to the loo which I though was clever! There was a supermarket near the hotel which was very good. My only criticism is the check in / check out times. Check in was from 3pm which I thought would be manageable but after arriving in lnto Amsterdam at 10am with no sleep before our 6am flight we were so tired after walking round we headed to our hotel about 1:30 and paid €7 to check in early. Check out was before 10am which was ridiculously early and to check out later it was nearly €20 so we left about 10:45 when the maid kicked us out. All in all a good stay and I will return!!

The location is very convenient, the room size is good, the front desk service is very good, the only drawback is that there is a clear smell of pesticides as soon as the door is inside the room, and then the first night I stayed there by unknown insects. Whole body (mainly concentrated on arms and legs against the wall) bit dozens of bags (not easy to subside, especially extremely itchy, itching for 7 days, easy to break, and now it has been half a month since I returned to China, the seal is still very obvious) There are small black spots and black holes on the wall, which are estimated to be worm holes. After responding to the front desk, he said that it can help us to return the room the next day, but considering that the stay is not long, there is no change and the late stay has special attention to the problem of not leaning against the wall, which is fine. The price is not expensive, but I was bitten by a bag full of flesh. Another thing is that beside the road, next to the traffic lights, when you sleep and drag at night, the traffic lights sound, the sound of cars coming and going is very loud. Location prices are ok. The picture was restored after returning to China for half a month, and it still needs to be restored. The second or third day after being bitten, it looks like dense phobia.

I looked for a simple hotel room in Amsterdam, not too far away from the city centre, but with the possibility to park my car in the nearby - the answer was the Hotel Washington. The single budget room was small, but offered a desk, safe, open cupboard and even TV. Bathroom was equipped with fully functional shower, sink and toilet. Regarding the parking, there are paid public parking spots available in the hotel's street, unfortunately quite expensive, Mo-Sa 09:00 - 00:00 for 6€ / hour. The stairs within hotel are steep and narrow and I could not find an elevator. In order to steer the amount of people in central breakfast room, the hotel staff asked me to select one out of 3 types of breakfasts which needed to be pre-ordered for a certain time slot. All in all, I was quite satisfied with the hotel, next time I will check different parking options.

We stayed three nights at Aston City Hotel July 2020 and really enjoyed the great location near the city. The room is small but we didn’t need more space, as we only used the room for sleeping. The internet is rather slow and unstable. The bathroom could use a better ventilation. We stayed in a room with a big window, which gave us the opportunity to open the window. However, some of the rooms have only window to the staircase, hence lagging “fresh “ air. Not the fanciest hotel but great value for money

We booked this on the day and were worried why this would be available when so much in Amsterdam wasn't but we needn't have been, this hotel is really lovely. It didn't feel like it was just for tourists or business people it was aiming for people who enjoyed staying in hotels. The building itself is stunning and the decor is exceptionally stylish. We stayed on the second floor right up in the eaves. It was a difficult space to convert to a room but it was done with style and although not large because of the high ceiling it felt more spacious than it was. Everyone we encountered was super friendly. The area was great as there were good restaurants, bars and shops locally which meant you didn't have to walk to far in the evening when your feet were already tired. A fantastic overall experience.

Me and 4 friends stayed here in a six bedroom room so we had it to ourselves. It was just what we needed! Bathroom was cleaned daily and bed were comfortable. If you’re going to Amsterdam with friends this place is perfect. The bedroom space isn’t huge but if you’re sharing the room with friends it works perfectly. Bathroom and shower were clean and its exactly what we expected for a hostel. Breakfast wasn’t amazing but for a free brekkie it was fine with a variety of bread and spreads and coffee. The 24hr reception was brilliant for when we came back late. Definitely would come back again for our next trip!

The Asterisk is a lovely, family run hotel in good location. Less than 5min walk to trams and Vijzelgracht metro station. (Took me just over 30mins to get to airport via metro). 10min walk to nice neighbourhood of De Pipj, with lots of shops and restaurants as well as daily market. Hrinrkin museum is 3min walk away, as well as access to canal cruise tour. The hotel itself was very nice, split over 2 buildings. I stayed in annexe at number 20. My room was on 1st floor and overlooked the street. It was a large single. Enough storage for 1 person, may be a little small for 2. Room was very clean, bed was a little too firm for me. Nice bathroom with shower (shower gel, body lotion and soap provided. Kettle and tea/coffee provided. Was delighted with glass of prosecco and hot towel when I arrived, a lovely touch, as well as small gift when I checked out. All the staff were so friendly and nice. On day I left they had just opened a delightful breakfast room. I did order breakfast on first day, it was 7.50 euros, personally I was slightly disappointed with it, and think it could be improved. Overall this is a wonderful little hotel that I would highly recommend

I stayed for a couple of nights escape from life and I've already booked for my next visit (i visit Amsterdam a lot lol). its not central, its about a 30/45 minute walk to the redlight though, or 20 mins from the tram stop around the corner (not the one outside.. turn left and keep going until the big junction). Being outside of the centre is better for me, theres a nice park across the road, plenty of bars and restaurants and cheaper, not rubbish coffee shops really close by, so you can go visit the madness, or stay local and have a good time either way. the hotel itself is geeks heaven.. you walk in to walls of comics, retro games and consoles set up to be used, my room had a playstation, netflix, star wars wall art and colour changing lights in the bathroom. The bathroom had a hairdryer and a good, hot shower as well, its a wetroom type floor though, so dont go to the loo in socks haha. Downstairs theres an area where its ok to smoke at the back (I didnt... but there are ashtrays and no signs.. so i assumed) and a small bar area too. my only niggle would be that the beds are a bit hard.. second day i woke up a bit stiff, but i was baked and shattered, so probably didnt help myself either. basically, young or old.... if you're a bit of a geek, you'll like it here.

Amsterdam Oud Zuid
When booking the hotel, both of my friends and my friends clearly saw that it stated on Ctrip that it was less than two kilometers from Amsterdam Central Station. As a result, when I got off the train and looked at the map, I was about to leave the city of Amsterdam. The traffic was very inconvenient! ! ! It's really inconvenient! ! It takes more than an hour to get to the city center every day. The hotel is remote. If you plan to spend late in the city center every day, the suggestion is to book a hotel near the city. The night is a bit scary.

The Moevenpick Hotel offers a great view over the old town and is convenient accessable by train, tram, ship and car. I arrive on a rainy morning and was please with the friendly welcome by the Fornt Office Manager Mr. John Caucian who went the extra mile to make me feel special. This is very rare these days in a big hotel. He explained the Corona meassures, gave me tips for the town and a arranged a dining table and took time explain the views from my room in the 18th floor and the use the gym. All in a very polite and charming way. Next morning I got a personal welcome from the Manager during my breakfast. This personal service make me feel very special. Together with the clean and comfi room and for sure makes me coming back next time. Well done - Top service, great rooms and a very good location.

The location of the hotel is good. It is about a minute walk from the tram stop (No. 17), but the location is not in the city center, and it is quite convenient to take the tram. The service staff is very good and provide a lot of assistance. The breakfast provided by the hotel is also good, with a variety of drinks and bread. Since we only have one day of accommodation, we asked if we could leave our luggage when we checked out, and the hotel would be happy to help provide space for us! This is great! No need to run around with your luggage! It ’s just that some of the hot water bottles in the room do n’t work, and the bathroom hair dryers do n’t work either. But overall the price is very high! Cheap and convenient! If you come to Amsterdam next time, you should still stay here! Pretty recommended! The room is quite big overall!

Booked the Serre Bib Gourmand package, for a wonderful dinner at Serre and a stay at the Okura Hotel. From the moment the valet parked our car until we picked it up again, we had a superb stay. Wonderful staff, great room with amenities, fantastic hotel facilities. We had something to celebrate and were surprised by a very kind present delivered by room service. It's this level of detail that makes the difference. Very delighted the hotel pool and spa were open again ( a booking is needed). Dinner at Serre was great. Breakfast at La Camelia was delicious. My wife and I also attended the origami workshop, which was great fun. it was concluded with a behind the scenes tour of the Yamazoto restaurant. We must come back here and eat and Ciel Blue is also still high on my list. All in all a five star review, I can highly recommend this hotel!

I had another short break at the start of March in Amsterdam and once again stayed at this wonderful hotel. As always my stay was flawless from start to finish. The reception staff were so welcoming and friendly and my check in was handled swiftly and efficiently. Every member of staff, from my contact booking the room, the concierges, breakfast staff and even staff in passing are so helpful and cheerful. My room was immaculate and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable and an excellent bed. Every amenity has been thoughtfully taken care of. The hotel could not be better located for staying in Amsterdam. Although right on busy and lively Dam Square, once inside it is tranquil and elegant throughout. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I am looking forward to returning very soon when the current travel restrictions are no longer in place. I wish everyone at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky well at this difficult time.
