We stayed here for 5 nights in December. Our room was modern and lovely, and faced the street. My father was next to us, and I could never him running water, etc, so the rooms are very quiet and private. The hotel is 3 minutes from the bus stops, and there is a new bus line, the #17, that takes you to Central Station in less time than the train. The train station is about 8 minutes away. There are several restaurants, bars and large grocery store nearby. The grocery store has a bakery in it, and it's very good. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. We would definitely stay here again!

Another visit at this great city hotel. I appreciate the quiet, residential location with easy access to public transport. Sometimes I stay here with my partner, other times on my own. I do feel very safe here as a single female traveler. For me, everything is perfect, from the friendly staff, the clean, modern rooms, the comfort of the bed, the bedding, to the quality of the breakfast. Excellent value for money!

We really enjoyed our stay at My4Walls (M4W). M4W is a serviced apartment - so part way between a hotel and a rented flat. The target market is people looking for somewhere to live medium term (up to six months) perhaps on secondment or contract to a local employer, but short stays from one night are possible. Our 10 day visit was leisure and M4W was cheaper than the alternative hotels in the area. Two S-Bahn stations are within 5-10 minutes walk (on different lines) and it's about 15 minutes to get to the centre of Hamburg. We had a Deluxe room - the biggest offered - and it looks like these are situated in the corners of each floor so you have windows on two sides. This makes for a well lit room during the day! The area is mostly offices but you do get views over the city from the higher floors. The room itself was well appointed, modern, in good condition, clean and comfortable with decent storage space for a long stay. The shower is excellent and the bed very comfortable. Each room is supplied with the usual consumables (towels/bedding etc) but is cleaned weekly (and before you check in), not daily like a hotel room would be. There is no restaurant, but an all you can eat breakfast is offered for €10 each (confusingly some publicity states €15 each) which includes hot drinks, fruit juice, cereal, cold meats and cheeses, breads and so on, but the only cooked food is scrambled egg. Breakfast is served early, and for several hours, making it ideal for people going to work. We opted to have our own breakfast in the apartment most days but did try the offered breakfast one morning and found it tasty and good value. Each room has a small kitchen area (microwave/grill, two ring hob, fridge with ice box, kettle, coffee machine, toaster) plus some basic utensils (saucepans, cooking tools, crockery, cutlery, etc but frustratingly no bottle opener!). This is quite adequate for keeping some beers cold plus making simple breakfasts and evening meals, but if you don't fancy cooking for yourself or want something more complicated eating out is a better option. There is a good supermarket about 10 minutes walk away - if nothing else get some decent toilet paper as the supplied stuff is absolutely awful! Unfortunately some aspects haven't been fully thought out for the use case. For example the central breakfast bar didn't have a power socket so the only way to work at a portable computer is by trailing a cable across the kitchen floor. The large flat panel TV (on a rotating stand to serve the sofa or bed) has a small pull out desk in front of it (with adjacent sockets) but access to the rear sockets of the TV is physically blocked so it's not possible to use it as a computer display via HDMI. The room didn't have a phone - perhaps they assume everyone has a mobile these days. Also the door didn't have a spy hole making it impossible to see who was outside before opening the door. Most frustratingly the sockets and lights are

Check-in was fairly easy, though our keys were not ready on arrival. The hotel has two lifts that always seemed to be ready. The room was small but adequate. The bed was comfortable and had non-feather pillow options--great for allergy sufferers. Power outlets were conveniently placed at each side of the bed--perfect for charging phones and devices at bedside. The had a minifridge and a coffeemaker. The bathroom was tiny. The large shower (only) had no mold--great job, housekeeping! The shower water pressure was OK and the hot water stayed hot. The towels were large but thin. There was a wall-mounted hairdryer. The free WiFi was strong but not password protected (boo!). The hotel has a small, open-air parking lot for €11 per day. Despite the few issues, I will likely consider staying here again.

The hotel itself has nice rooms. I stayed in an Executive room which was large and comfortable. Had a meal at the onsite restaurant which was not great. What I disliked the most about this hotel is that it’s in a business area, but not the kind of business area that’s bustling and has a variety of restaurants. It was very difficult to find a decent restaurant nearby, given that the onsite one fell short of expectations. The hotel is frankly in a very boring, business/industrial-looking area with some construction going on. Not great for a holiday stay because it is also quite far from the city center. I was also irritated by the fact that you have to download an app by a third party provider for the free airport shuttle and ask reception for a voucher code. Really cumbersome and I do not like submitting personal information to random third parties. Overall it is just OK for a night.

I stayed in September 2017, so sorry my review is so late..... The owner Mustafa was kind and helpful and full of positive vibes. The beds were comfortable, the rooms quite insulated to keep out any potential noise and the wifi worked just fine. The accommodation is fairly new so everything is clean and not worn out. The hostel was quiet despite the rooms being maxed out. Less than a 10-minute walk from an U-Bahn station and plenty of places to buy groceries/eat out in the neighborhood. I definitely recommend staying here! If you want to shower, you must pay 50 Euro cents for 6-minutes of hot water. A bit odd.

Rooms are spacious and modern but bathroom tiny. Shower is good. Beds and pillows were comfy enough for us. The area around it is a bit boring but there are shops and restaurants in walking distance. We slept very well as it was so quiet, no road traffic outside so thats a plus. Only some guests decided to stand outside our window to chat and smoke in the early morning, to our annoyance. But that’s not the hotel’s fault. There is free bottle of water in the room, but coffee cost extra, a bit disappointing but ok. Breakfast was okay for the price, its included in the room price. There could be some more variety, and I missed peanut butter but that’s just personal preference. Staff was friendly to us, nothing to say about them. Only thing with this hotel is that the parking can be full if you arrive late at night. In short, I would recommend this hotel if you need an affordable place to spend one or maybe two nights around Hamburg, or if you need to catch a flight the next day. We chose it mainly because of its proximity to the airport combined with the affordable price.

Well aware of what to expect from an Ibis, I decided to give this section of the Ibis selection a chance by staying a bit detached from downtown Hamburg but not that far; one is at the heart of the city in no time, tube station U3 Hamburger Strasse is no 5min away on foot! The aera is purely residential, extremely quiet, really away from the hussle and bussle, perfect for families; in the surroundings one finds supermarkets, coffee shops, small restaurantes, a petrol stations and one shopping mall, the famous Hamburger Meile! The concept of style differs depending on the location, the idea is to adapt to the area and make basic special: if that is the target, they did succeed in this ibis Style branch, although it could definitely cost a little less for not being that central... Similar standards found in any Ibis around the world can be expected there, though I got amazed at how large the room was, compared to a usual tiny Ibis size! There is no wardrobe in the room, the floor is carpeted, I couldn't find where to control the temperature and the worktable is too small for an adult; some furniture is already a bit tired and scratched, bathroom is all right but towels are reaching their due lifetime... Breakfast is rather basic but you really won't miss anything there; bread is fresch but juice isn't and only scrambled eggs are the warm options. But bear in mind it is an Ibis anyway and the the hotel lays between two supermarkets, if you miss something! It's a place to bear in mind for short stays in the future but management should really see into price, for it should really cost much less given its location and what it offers - thumbs-up, though, anyway!

This is very much a budget hotel so I didn't expect too much, therefore I wasn't disappointed! My room was clean and functional with a TV and bed and not much more! This didn't really bother me as I was only staying for one night and wasn't going to be spending much time in my room! The reception staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful. The biggest problem was the lifts! There are just two fairly small lifts serving 12 floors (I was on the 9th!) and seriously you could grow old waiting for one of them to arrive! Then when one does arrive it's already packed!!! I realise that there is nothing that can be done to correct this major flaw in the original planning but should be borne in mind when booking! Breakfast was a decent continental spread and provided the necessary fuel for the day. Overall, this is a decent place to spend the night on a budget.

Hotel lobby and rooms are nicer than what you would expect for the price. The rooms, as most hotel rooms in Hamburg, are not large or luxurious - but they are more than sufficient, with good beds, everything is very well maintained. Decent cable TV, excellent but a bit pricey breakfast buffet (more food options than what you would expect along with some local specialties like herring salad), and best of all, your Intercity room card is also your free ticket to the entire public transportation system, trains, subways, river boats and buses. Public transportation does not use turn styles, its an honor system with spot checks, so you will always have a valid ticket on hand if checked. 4 minutes down a pedestrian street is the Mercado Mall, which has high quality food offerings in a fancy food court setting, from Sushi to Indonesian to Italian, and so on. The neighborhood is full of small specialty shops. I have stayed in this hotel more than a dozen times over the last fifteen years - it is one of the best hotel choices in Hamburg if you want to stay within the $100 a night range, and it is located in the very cool and diverse Altona/Ottensen area of the city. You will not be disappointed.

We booked a Deluxe Room for 4 nights at the end of May (15 days before the reopening of the border between Switzerland and Germany) in the hope to be able to visit Hamburg traveling by car. The bet worked nicely. We managed to cross the German border and on June 27th in the early evening we arrived at the property. Upon parking outside the Hotel we unfortunately faced the disappointment that the Atlantic Hotel is currently undergoing a large overhaul, probably delayed by the corona lockdown. As a matter of fact the whole ground floor currently looks like a large constructions site, with a temporary reception build in the area of the original ballrooms and a maze of construction panels to go thru to reach the elevators. During our stay there were no noises, just some strong glue smell in the lobby on one day and lack of hot water in our room on a morning. We were assigned room 343 which was large, comfortable and quiet but completely empty of any printed leaflet or information brochure. Given the current corona restrictions many services were either not available (pool) or reduced (SPA massages), anyway the hotel looked to us as being understaffed, with single staff apparently serving on long shifts. The paper burden was huge: we were requested to fill in forms with our data on each breakfast, teatime or dinner even as a hotel resident. As no breakfast buffet is currently allowed because of the corona restrictions, breakfast has to be ordered à la carte with three main choices & some extra dishes available. Our experience with the staff was always positive, nevertheless they appeared overwhelmed and some of them even unexperienced. Slow and inattentive interactions were the obvious result, requiring multiple calls to get things done (e.g: obtaining a working ironing board, laundry missing item in a bag of three, forgotten breakfast items, booking a table at the hotel’s restaurant). All in all, even in this complex times we enjoyed visiting Hamburg and Lübeck by train (the railway station is located 10 min. by walk from the hotel) but this stay was absolutely not up to par with the usual Kempinski experience.

I had book this hotel for a family trip to Hamburg - and this specific hotel as I thought I could expect the regular Marriott experience .. Boy, was I wrong! At arrivial we learn that almost all facilities are closed - they could have told be at the time of booking - as I have found out that they were all closed at that time. The Front of house wasen't even sorry... anyway The room was spartan but big two big beds and one chair -that's it .. semi clean The first night there we decided to sit in the Bar after en excellent dinner in town, but what a mistake. With only few guests and almost as many staff, the service was horrible... we waited for 38 min for a pint and soda and an cocktail. There is no music - an effort to make things cozy would have been cool - the Bar was so quiet that we could hear the guys in the back of house laughing and doing dishes or something similar - not what you would expect in the Bar at this kind of hotel The Corona BOMB - there is absolutly NO cleaning - NO disenfection - anyware The tables in the restaurnt / Bar are NOT cleaned between guests. The entrance doors are NOT cleand / disenfected - we sat outside for little over an hour, with countless guests passing - all touching the doors - never cleaned The calling buttons at the lift - not cleaned Guys, this is how you get infected!! The "Breakfast" is a JOKE - a plate of cheep "Bake Off" bread, old stiff cheese and ham, a instant powder scramble eggs .. food arriving before your drinks... even after more than an hour of waiting - com'on - this is not "Rocket Science" I had an conversation with their "Guest Service Manager" before check out and expressed my disappoinment - to his HUGE surprice - only to find the same manager comment on several similar complaints on this and other websites This was my absolut last stay at this hotel

Hotel was good and the breakfast was good. However we booked and prepaid via Expedia but after departure they charged me for my room on my credit card despite front desk acknowledging it was prepaid and no charges when we checked out. This is an unauthorised use of my credit card. I emailed the hotel and they didn’t reply, so I had to telephone them. They remember my email and explained it was a billing error. Nobody bothered to acknowledge my email! However this is not acceptable as I have incurred call costs trying to resolve this matter. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels in my lifetime and never experienced this before. Also, they have room service after 12am but don’t offer drinks. Appreciate the bar closes at 12am but guests generally like something to drink with their food even if it’s just a coke.

To compliment the Adina, this aparthotel in Hamburg, the hotel facilities are new and modern. The room type we choose can accommodate four people and is very suitable for travelling with children. Two rooms, the children's room is a double sofa bed, all have a TV. The room has kitchen utensils and is equipped with a dining table chair for cooking. The surrounding traffic is very convenient, next to the street is the "dungeon" restaurant, 10 minutes away from the food supermarket, simply not too convenient, highly recommended.
