The hotel is located opposite the United Nations, and there is a 24-hour pharmacy next to it. On the first night of our stay, the manager on duty was super nice and gave us two breakfast coupons. Next time we come to New York, we will stay at the Westin

My fiancé and I stayed here for three nights and would definitely come back again. The location is super convenient, being in midtown and only a couple blocks from Grand Central Station, but also feels somehow cozy, being on a slightly less busy street. The front desk staff were super helpful, friendly and professional, when whilst dealing other many other guests. And when we had a request, they resolved it quickly and easily. Checking out was a breeze, too. Our queen room was compact (as expected), and very comfortable. We found it to be tidy, clean and perfect for what we needed. The modern industrial look suited our preferences. And the bed was great, allowing us both to sleep well. Extra aesthetic touches around the hotel lobby/bar, where people are free to hangout/work, and the breathtaking view from the roof just added extra value to our overall experience.

The hotel is very close to the Central Railway Station and Fifth Avenue. The only downside is that the front desk gave me the third floor 308, there are many outdoor air conditioners outside the window, some noisy. The hotel is good, I hope to check with the front desk to have a quiet room in the future.

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

Stayed here with a family in October 2022. The room size is generous by Manhattan standards, and we were able to see the Chrysler Building from our window. The room and the hotel in general are clean and well-maintained. The reception staff was friendly and courteous, quickly resolving a few minor issues for us. The breakfast variety is good, although it may be a bit crowded a little later in the morning. The elevators are fast, although sometimes you may have to wait a bit for them to arrive. The location is great for your general NYC tourist destinations. Nothing negative to say about this place, if the price is right, you are not likely to regret your choice.

I was wrong to underestimate this hotel because of the reviews from other hotels in NYC. Aside from the lack of microwave in the room & only 2-out-of-3 working 4-5ppl elevators, this hotel is pretty great! The room is enough for my girlfriend & I. Cozy bed, nice shower, wide bathtub, coffee maker & a mini fridge. Amazing location near bus stops (one just in front of the hotel), subway & CVS on the next block. Only 5min walk to Chrysler Building & around 8min walk to Grand Central Terminal! Most importantly, the hotel is reasonably priced for a nice NYC hotel. Good customer service (shoutouts to Nestor!) & excellent housekeeping! They cleaned our room & fixed our bed every single day! & there's a bar downstairs which also serves Starbucks. I recommend! Will sure consider coming back when I visit NYC again.✌🏼

On February 11 Super bowl Sunday, I had a suite and king room booked with intentions of a party. When we arrived, we were informed there was NO cable or internet. We waited for at least 30 minutes for them to put us at a sister hotel. The guy behind the desk assured me we had rooms. Once at Hotel 57, it took another 30 minutes for them to get me rooms, as they informed me the other hotel had not done so!! Not only did we miss our dinner reservation, but the suite they gave me was less than half the size of the one we reserved at Tuscany. They totally ruined our stay. Once back from dinner other that where my reservation was, I went to the front desk and complained about the suite... That being said, they did upgrade me to a bigger one, but at that point, my party, dinner, and day was ruined. 1. Why would they not contact me or any other guest of no cable or internet? Pretty much a dependent these days..... 2. Why tell me you got me all set at another hotel, when clearly you didn't? 3. Why wouldn't you just put me in the comparable suite at Hotel 57 from the get go? No, instead, we had to repack our things, and move yet again. Very disappointed, as I use to rave about the Tuscany.

This is a wonderful location near the UN and between Second & Third Aves with easy access to transportation, restaurants especially further up Third Avenue and plenty of convenience store near by plus Tony's old work luncheonette on one corner and Le Pan Quotidien on the other. I really writing this to that one of the Best Front Desk staffs around -my special thanks to Maria,Cassandra,Fiona & Milanka _ they were outstanding and understanding when our circumstances were problematical at best. Thank you ladies and entire staff. I strongly recommend this hotel and give it Five Stars - had a beautiful corner King Room on the 26th Floor. My wife and I will return on our next trip to NYC. Let’s talk about the advantages first: the front desk is friendly, and the traffic problems and scenic spots are enthusiastically answered and helped to search. Only by swiping the card in the elevator can press the floor, and the safety is there. Many places can be reached with one subway stop, but it takes 8 minutes to walk to the subway station. The Empire State Building can be reached on foot, and there is a bus to the airport nearby. Disadvantages: In the downtown area, the sound insulation of the windows is very poor. Sleeping at night is like lying in the middle of the road. The facilities are old, there is no kettle, only a coffee machine. The sheets were not clean, and it took a long time for someone to come and change the sheets before someone brought them up, and told them that the front desk would not change the sheets and asked us to change them ourselves. Ctrip's mistake: We were given a double-bed room instead of two double-bed rooms. Go downstairs to change the front desk and treat us like fools and say this is what we ordered. When I asked Ctrip, I found out that they booked it wrong. At the beginning, I said that I would only pay the difference. If I had a difference in the price, I would not add extra money to book two beds. Later, an extra 200rmb was added... One hundred per person really sent the beggars. We still hoped to live in a two-bed room, so we asked Ctrip to continue looking for it. As a result, we both went out and started to eat. He called and said that we could change the price. I gave it myself, and we had to take a taxi to the hotel where we were staying. In the afternoon, we had to go to the Metropolitan Museum and have no time to toss. I had to accept the unfortunate choice of the difference +200! After using Ctrip so many times, this is the first time I booked the wrong room! Hope you don't make this kind of low-level mistakes again, OK?

Breakfast is good, no extra bed, Fairfield has lived a lot, and generally can not be an extra bed. The hotel is about five minutes walk from the subway station. The location is good. Take the subway to Manhattan 4 or 5 stops. The location is very good, near the subway station, where to go is very convenient, free breakfast is good, reasonable price, value for money. This hotel is recommended and clean and comfortable.

It seems that Marriott only booked it. The front desk service is very good. The hotel is relatively old and clean. The room is a little small. Half of the first floor is in the basement. The air conditioner is really loud. This is the first time I see it. Noisy air conditioner, I can’t bear it because I slept well, there is no water in the room, I need to go to the front desk to get it, I stayed for two days, came back very late on the first day, the room was not cleaned at all, I didn’t eat breakfast, so I can’t comment, mainly because of wake up Not coming. It is very close to JFK Airport, which is convenient for connecting flights, but it is still a bit far to go to the city center.

Our overall one night stay was fine, but I rated this property ”average” due to: - At check in, Peggy did not acknowledge us as Hilton Honors Diamond Members. - Our room (1011) was in sad shape. The floor was sticky. The furniture had tears and was very worn down. The ceiling had large water stains and the walls had water damage in several areas. - The shower had no 'hot' water. When you turned it to the hot setting, cold water came out, you had to let it run for awhile (wasting a lot of water) to heat to lukewarm, at most. However, our overall stay was okay due to: - Glad to see recycling bins...which we used. - Grateful for the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. - Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast- plenty of choices. - We had a nice view of the city from our 10th floor room. This hotel is close to LaGuardia Airport. It was quiet, with exception of hallway noise. We did not have a car, so I cannot comment on the hotel parking. The front desk had plenty of menus offering Mexican, Chinese, and Italian food for delivery.

The room facilities are complete and pleasant. Free yoga mats and foam shafts are provided. Morning and evening workouts can be played on the TV. Everything is related to the concept of fitness. However, the service of the restaurant electric lemon was really bad. When the breakfast was taken, the waiter gave the menu and left. No one came to ask for coffee or tea. After a few minutes to prepare the order, I couldn't find the waiter ... … Finally stopped a waiter passing by, I said I was ready to order, and she was still unhappy to ask me Are we in a rush? (Is it in a hurry?) This attitude and tone really made me doubt myself Not a five-star hotel.

Overall, I had a good experience in the hotel. The rooms are rather pricy but that’s normal in NY, especially if you have a room overlooking Times Square. The staff is (mostly) friendly and courteous. There is a 10$ voucher that you can use every day in the bar. They hotel has room service which is not a given in NY after the COVID related down scaling of services in hotels due to lack of guests and staff. The food is OK, though the quality and quantity varies from day to day. Be careful with your laundry service. I overlooked that the day I was handing in my laundry was a holiday and I was charged a hefty $140 for a few underwear, T Shirts and socks due to an additional holiday/Sunday fee. However, after raising the matter with the hotel manager - who handled the matter in a very friendly and professional manner unlike the operator I spoke to first - a discount was added to my bill that compensated for the additional holiday laundry fee. Since it was me that had overlooked the holiday, this was a nice and welcome gesture that I much appreciated. Overall, the hotel can be recommended though the rooms are a little too small for the price. They are, however, modern, clean and comfortable.

Because the plane was late, I arrived at the hotel at 1 o'clock in the middle of the night. The lady at the front desk helped me to check in very quickly. It was the speed of New York. Hotel location is very good. About 5 minutes walk to Fifth Avenue, turn to Central Park, and the subway station will walk for 5 minutes. The hotel is a post-modern urban minimalist style, the room is good, very New York apartment feel, but the breakfast is a bit too casual, too simple, but the breakfast at the New York hotel is probably so good, it is a very good hotel

Two doormen stationed at the front entrance saw us retrieving our luggage from the cab trunk, but made no attempt to help. I had checked in a day earlier and was great full that the room was made available at 12 PM . They did tell us there was no view; I was okay with that as we are in NY regularly and at this trip it was not a priority. I haven’t stayed at this hotel in a few years, but remembered the excellent butler service and lovely accommodations, and was looking forward to it. The checkin felt like something one would expect at a Highway motel. No explanation of any services, no welcome drink, no Butler introductions, nobody accompanied you to the room or directed you to the elevator. The room had the tiniest window, with a curtain without a valance (# 1406) facing a wall a few feet away. No Natural light what so ever. The leather head rest on the bed was ripped on a couple of spots. It had only one not very comfortable lounge chair in a fairly large king room. So if you are a couple, you cannot even sit together for a cup of coffee. In the past at checkin the butler would introduce themselves, offer coffee , tea etc and make sure you were satisfied with the accommodations. We had ballet tickets for a matinee, so initially decided to just go with the flow. Went for a quick lunch at the Astor, paid around $170 for 2 ceaser salads, a bloody mary and a glass of Duvel Leroy Champagne. I have no problems paying premium prices for value , but $28 for a Bloody Mary with a celery stalk garnish and stoli vodka? They claimed to have invented it , but definitely not worth the price. When we returned back from the ballet and returned to the room , it seemed really depressing. They call it an interior room , but it could easily be in a windowless basement. We requested a room change and requested to speak to a manager. We were told the manager was downstairs and would call us back. We were going to dinner, so left the front desk our cell number. The manager ever returned the call. On our return when we requested a room change, we were told that they were completely sold out. At this point we were exhausted an decided to just let it go and returned to our room for a good nights sleep. It was around 10:30 PM, and there was a continuous loud rumbling sound. When we called the front desk , we were told that the noise was from their service elevator which was being used a lot that night as 2 of their 4 passenger elevators had been broken for a couple of days. They offered to now move us to another room. So at 11 Pm we had to get dressed and pack up to move to another room. The new room (1903), had a moldy smell. Got up next morning with a back ache as the bed was not comfortable. In the morning the moldy smell seems to have gotten even worse and I did report that. I was told it was because of air conditioning! We called the butler for coffee in the morning. The French press coffee arrived with c

We stayed here during our trip for five days. This was our first time in New York City and it was exceptional. Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!

5 night stay for a family birthday and reunion. On arrival there was a little mix up with the booking which manager Chris & staff worked quickly to resolve to our satisfaction. The suite had oodles of space , the bed was massive and very comfy. Have in your mindset this is an older hotel , with old fashioned lifts ,decor and doors. March weather was very cold and the old, drafty windows made the rooms a little cold when the curtains were pulled open, but there’s easily operated heating in the bedrooms which you just turn on to heat the room quickly. There’s lots of space to hang up clothes. The shower was over bath and adequate. The cleaning service was very efficient with the room cleaned every morning. Complimentary bottled water, tea & coffee making facilities in room. Food at both the bar and restaurant is very tasty, especially the Irish breakfast. You can get a sense of the real will from the management and staff to get back to normal after the awful pandemic closure. All the Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is excellent. All in all a fantastic stay in a wonderful city!

This was booked through a travel agent when we said, nothing fancy just travel lodge type, for sleeping only really. It was for me and my daughter, 60 and 40, twin room requested. It looked ok on website so we were happy. Oh dear, when we got there we were told, you have our deluxe double, i told the receptionist we had requested a twin, he said non were available, so we thought a double like a travel lodge/premier it would be fine. The room was the size of your little bedroom in a house, the bed was long ways on running against the wall, after a conversation with the receptionist, a twin room miraculously appeared at a price of a further 200 dollars!! Over a barrel we agreed, what choice did we have! Once in new room, which was nice and had rooftop balcony, we decided to shower and change before eating, the shower was via the toilet in the room, i got in and then my daughter shouted mum, don't turn round! the shower, which was lovely and hot, was exposed to the whole room through a full length window! No modesty at all. The room service and cleanliness was great and i am sure for a certain type of guest these rooms are good value and do the job. I have attached the welcome poster on the back of the door, we have laughed since. Also don't eat at the joint next door, it too expensive and not good value, walk to the end of the street onto 2nd ave and you ll find lovely eatery's and service. Seth went above and beyond to help us get to the airport. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and you can even watch live art in the elevator. Chelsea market is within walking distance. They make everything so easy including room service. It’s a luxurious experience that I haven’t experienced at any other hotel.

The location of the hotel is invincible. You can walk to Central Park, Times Square, and countless famous attractions in Manhattan. Next to the subway station, the transportation is very convenient. The hotel service is also very good. Hair dryer and coffee machine were sent to the front desk by phone. The room was clean and tidy. It is basically full, causing the elevators to be very tight and need to wait. Some rooms in the hotel are a bit old-fashioned, and the details such as the corners may not be very beautiful. Let's see if someone pays attention.

I was here on business and stayed at the Arthouse for four nights. Being born and raised in New York, I wanted to be in a hotel that felt more intimate, away from the hustle of New York. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was perfect. They have a great management team and staff, management consistently present in the lobby, greeting guests and making sure that things are running smoothly. There is a small, intimate bar that opens in the evening serving great cocktails. Service is genuine and on spot. Great location on the upper west side, on a side street - Sarafina's is off of the lobby serving delicious food, steps away from the lobby. Lobby is a great place to socialize or get some work done - beds are super comfortable and the room was very clean...really loved this property and will defnitely be back!

I came to NYC to watch my daughter dance. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Not only was my room large, it was clean and comfortable which made it easy to feel at home. The front desk, cleaning staff and doorman, were kind and provided service that was exemplary. I will definitely return to the Hotel Beacon in the future. Thank you again to the entire staff at Hotel Beacon for making me feel at home.

First let me start by saying that I was contacted by the hotel for feedback following my stay. I asked via email and voicemail to have the General Manager give me a call and waited before writing this review. I asked the Director of Guest Services for follow up and still have not been contacted. Check in-We had a great experience at check with the front desk. The agent was efficient and friendly. She followed up with a phone call to the room to see that everything was ok which we appreciated. Room-The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small. Housekeeping-At check in we were told to call before noon if we wanted housekeeping. We did call and were told that they could only pick up trash and bring clean towels. I know this has changed since the pandemic and we were fine with this. Bar and food- We did not receive any welcome drink or champagne so after we settled in we went to the bar for a drink and something to eat. We were told that there was a private event and that they could not accommodate us. After some push back the hostess said we could sit down for one drink but must be done in 20 minutes. I understand private events are lucrative but there should always be some space for guests to relax and get a drink after a long journey. Before arriving I had called the front desk and asked to speak to a concierge about reservations. I was told that all of the reservations for the restaurant and jazz club were made via Resy and that I should book them myself. There was no priority for guests and no concierge service to help. I never saw a concierge in the lobby during my 3 day stay. We had a great time at the jazz club and the host was wonderful. We coordinated the experience on our own with no help from the hotel. Noise-We were a little worried about the noise in this hotel as the rooms open to the bar area. Our room was on a high floor it was not that bad and the music shut down around 10:30 pm. They have installed a white noise devise that sounds like a broken air conditioner which was worse than the actual noise. There is some city noise as rooms are facing busy streets but that did not bother us. What did disturb us were the guests next us. You could hear the other guests late at night. Definitely a party hotel. Amenities- The web site states Wi-Fi is free which is great. There is a 34.95 dollar a night room charge. Not sure this is justified. We had no champagne greeting, were not able to enjoy the bar due to a private event, no bathrobes, and no priority at any of the restaurants or clubs. When I completed the guest survey the response I got was if I wanted a bathrobe I should ask for one. Booking- I booked this hotel directly via the hotel website. That was a mistake. After the first night we looked to change hotels. The hotel had rates much cheaper than we were paying on most all of the third party websites. We decided to stick it out and not hassle with a hotel move so

From start to finish was completely IMPRESSIVE!! It is extremely clean, the room was perfect with an even more perfect view of the city overlooking the historic APOLLO THEATRE! The best part about my stay was NEESHA, the young lady that checked me in! She was attentive from the time she greeted me. She was warm and welcoming. Once we started chatting, it was like she had read my soul. I expressed to her why I was there and we exchanged stories of the elders in our families. It brought me to tears because I was there for yet another funeral. She quickly said “I’ll take great care of you, I want this to be the best experience for you”. She gave me a beautiful view, offered water….. she offered me a robe and slippers. I know that I don’t have that type of “STATUS”, but she went above and beyond like the superstar she is! She definitely made me understand that my own Customer Service could be better! I hope that MARRIOTT knows what a jewel they have in NEESHA!! I hope that she one day opens her own property because she certainly knows how to operate a FRONT DESK!! Can’t wait to return in February!!

Great location for a person seeking the heart of Times Square. There are various levels of rooms so don’t be offended if you don’t book a city view and then get a window with a view of a building. The entrance was decent, yet for a W hotel, I never saw a doorman on site. We never had staff assist us with our bags either. The initial impression after the primary door is decent. They turned it into an sort of underwater experience. With this being said the four nights we stayed there I also never once saw a security guard as you first enter leaving a bit of safety concerns up for grabs. From there you have to catch an elevator up to the main lobby which is nicely decorated. Upon checking in don’t expect to be greeted with a smile (even if you have rank as a bonvoy member). Just get your key and go. As for the room the overall appearance is dependent upon the level of room you choose, so to be impartial I won’t give my opinion on the rooms. I will though, continue to comment on the lackluster service as that aspect should be stellar across the board. Upon asking for recommendations for the city we were handed a crumbled, partially torn paper with a generous number of locations, no additional information was provided by the staff. The night before checking out I found myself in need of a razor. I called guest services and they advised they’d be able to provide one. 40 minutes had passed and still no razor. After burning much time just waiting, I decided it would probably be faster for me to walk to CVS buy one and come back (which it was). Again, I mention the location is prime Times Square making every item the hotel forgets to bring you, easily found and easily accessible by foot. The cocktails at the “Living Room” bar are horrible. They range from $20-25 per cocktail and if you light a cigarette near it, you’ll probably catch on fire from the amount of unshaken liquor in the glass. A heavy pour isn’t always a good pour especially when you’re looking to actually be able to walk the city. We have the living room bar 3 tries before deciding to just have our first set of cocktails outside of the establishment. A benefit is that the W gives you $25 to spend at the bar daily with your $25 resort fee. For the first time in my life free wasn’t actually better. I really would love a call from someone at the establishment as I am certain the experiences my wife and I dealt with are not the “norm”. Overall, do not recommend. I would recommend The NY Marriott Marquis.

The bed was very comfortable, the booking was a wonderful room, a big bed, and the front desk was kind enough to ask if you would have an extra bed. There is a supermarket next to it, you can buy something very late. I received 100 dollars of dollars and returned to it in three days.

We stayed here for a week in May and loved it! We were nervous after reading negative reviews but really can't understand what reviewers were complaining about as that was not our experience at all. As 3 females travelling we always felt safe here - Central Park was 10 minutes one way and Times Square was 10 minutes the other way, it's a perfect location. We loved the view from our room at night time when New York was all lit up. Our room was spacious with a big bathroom, always well stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries. The little kitchenette was very handy when we bought drinks and groceries, or took boxes up from breakfast. Talking of breakfast this was fantastic - a huge room with plenty of seating and a massive array of fresh food always being restocked by the plenty of staff milling around answering any queries and cleaning up. There was a gentleman who was always clearing away tables and emptying the bins and was friendly and helpful. He obviously loved little kids and would pay special attention to families who were juggling their kids while also trying to have breakfast. A couple of times we saw him produce a packaged cookie from his back pocket to give to a little one and their little faces lit up and the parents were always so pleased that someone was paying attention to their kids - we thought this was lovely and such a personal touch. We've read other reviews that the breakfast room was too small with a limited range but that is not the case at all - it was brilliant - best of all they provide boxes so that you can take foodstuffs away with you which we did all the time and could then store in our in room fridge. We never saw the cleaners but they did an amazing job and twice they did our washing up! We never had that before and it was a pleasant surprise as we were intending to do it when we got back in the evening. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and one young lady receptionist always gave us a wave and a smile as we passed by as she recognised us after a couple of days, though she always struggled to understand our English accents! The concierge guys were brilliant and so helpful. I can't remember their names except for the one with a film star name - Orlando. They answered all our annoying tourist questions and one of the guys, when we asked about a cab, took us up to the corner and used his whistle to stop a cab, opened the door and sent us on our way - such a nice personal touch which made us feel cared for. The air conditioning in our room was very effective and was not noisy at all so maybe the people who mentioned it were just unlucky. Yes the elevators did make a noise but not that you couldn't sleep. We loved New York and would like to return and will definitely stay here again - I would 100% recommend staying here.
