The hotel's geographical environment is good, just come out at livepool street station. The decoration environment and room facilities are also good, the mini bar is full every day, free of charge. The only dissatisfaction was that after the full room rate had been paid, the credit card was deducted a deposit on the day of check-in and the second night was inexplicably deducted. After leaving the store, I received the bank information, deducted an unexplained fee, called the hotel front desk, and could not explain how the fee came. The hardware facilities are good, but I suggest you pay attention to whether there are any charges. Waiting for Ctrip's processing.

Hotel was very cozy. I stayed in the studio room and the layout was so comfortable. The bathtub and shower area is very deep and spacious. Everything has a luxury design feel to it, which is worth every penny I spent. Bath products were also absolutely amazing, staff were quick to refill anything missing. The services were good. Room service made a few errors and the TV didn’t function properly, but I was quickly reassured by their manager for a fix and reasonable compensation. The attitude is very welcoming. Overall a very comfortable stay and an excellent experience.

Booking was very easy online. Hotel is set just 5 minutes walk from Liverpool Street Station where there is a large variety of bars and eateries. When you check in, you are given a guided walk of the ground floor rooms and taken to your room. Receptionist was lovely and we got talking to her each time we went in and out. We stayed in Sarah Marchant room which was sufficient and had mini fridge, tv and bathroom with 2 showers but no bath. Complimentary toiletries. Room was very clean and chambermaid was lovely and hardworking as we got talking to her The decor throughout is fabulous. Honesty bars on ground floor are well staocked but mega mega expensive. £10 for vodka and coke. There are a few areas which we feel could be improved on and hopefully, the hotel will take on board: Having to ask for an iron is an inconvenience. This is standard in any budget hotel No tea making facilities for a hotel of this price range. Again, freely available in any budget hotel No information in rooms about absolutely anything. This included the area and the mini bar (wifey had a Kit Kat and it was £1.50, not skimping but come on, if we had of known). Ringing bell each time to get in and asking for key is a pain You need to be aware that there is very large long term building works at 2 sides of the hotel which means you cannot have the windows open due to noise. If you have booked, I am sure you'll have a fab time

After four years, I visited this hotel again and did not regret it at all. I can justifiably say that I was just as satisfied as the last time. The only changes I noticed were for the better, and this is particularly visible at the breakfast. Breakfast is now really high quality and plentiful, with very friendly staff, as befits a hotel of this category. The staff really went out of their way, and I even got the same room as last time, with a good bottle of wine as a welcome gift. All the benefits of being a member of the loyalty program were fully respected. The rates at the hotel are not low, but I even caught a night with a great rate. However, to be completely honest, I managed to catch one small mistake - there was no tomato juice at the bar, so I was denied a Bloody Mary cocktail: D But I mention this only to emphasize the realism of the review.

I had booked a room at the Curtain for my 10th wedding anniversary in May. When the UK went into lockdown they offered me a refund (of over £600) which I accepted in April. It is now September. They say they have transferred the refund to my credit card but my credit card company has no record of it and I have certainly not got the money back on my card. I have asked them to check their bank account to confirm whether the money actually came out of their account but they have not replied. I have emailed them several times on this - to both the Revenue manger and their accounts team. That was almost a month ago. I can't get through on any phone line. Very odd behaviour and very rude. My suspicion is that they are about to go under. If you are thinking of booking a room, you might want to bear in mind their response to refunds and the fact that they are behaving like a business that is having financial problems! I am on the verge of filing a claim with the small claims court. I don't know what else to do.
