Hotels Near Lulu Burgess In Beaufort
0.1km from LuLu BurgessThe Beaumont Inn is a complex of vintage properties in downtown Beaufort, SC. I stayed in a pleasant room in the main home. The room was charming and the bed was quite comfortable. I had a parking space and was able to walk all over the lovely town from this location. Because of Covid, the B$B didn't serve breakfast onsite; but I received a voucher for a choice of local restaurants nearby.
0.15km from LuLu BurgessMy husband and I just returned from celebrating our 35th anniversary at the historic Rhett House Inn in lovely Beaufort, SC. We stayed in room 2 on the top level of the main house & enjoyed our own door out to the porch. There we could relax and glimpse the harbor & watch the horse drawn carriages pass by. We found the entire staff to be warm & accommodating. The afternoon tea & cookies, evening cheese plate with wine & the homemade desserts were wonderful. Best of all were Chef Beverly’s delicious breakfast selections made fresh each morning. Happy to say that Beaufort and nearby Bluffton were great areas to walk off our indulgences! Both towns are fun to explore with many quaint historic homes, shops, art galleries & tasty locally caught seafood restaurants. (Better go walk some more!)
0.17km from LuLu BurgessVisiting from Germany we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Best Western Sea Island Inn. The hotel is located on the main street in Beaufort (Bay Street) and therefore one is next to all the shops and cafes (no car drives needed). All the staff was unbelievably friendly, helpful and generous during our time there. The hotel offers tiny 'perks' found in the bed and breakfasts nearby. They even surprised our family with popsicles during our time in their pool, which our children loved! Speaking of the pool - the hotel is the only one we found that had one - especially in downtown Beaufort! In the heat of Beaufort a pool is for sure most welcome to cool off. We look forward to staying there again during our next visit to Beaufort!
0.26km from LuLu BurgessWe stopped here on a Friday night to get close to the water for a boat trip that started Saturday. We were able to walk to dinner that night and walk through downtown the next day before utilizing the city dock to pick up our crew. The City Java coffee shop was super convenient for coffee and a light breakfast. The staff at the hotel were all great. They received us with a smile and helped us with anything we needed. The rooms were clean and updated. The bathrooms were very nice. Beaufort is a growing coastal city, and this is a great way to experience all that it has to offer. We will definitely stop here again soon!

1.95km from LuLu BurgessGreat hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. The location is in the back of a shopping plaza with the front of the hotel facing away from the road, which I thought was unintuitive but was actually kind of nice to block out the other traffic in the plaza.

3.37km from LuLu BurgessI have to say this hotel was nothing like advertised. We were in a hurry when we checked in being we had reservations somewhere else thus we just dropped our luggage and didn’t look around the room. We came back a few hours later (it was still daylight) and then we saw what a dump the room was. The counter by the sink was falling apart, the floor had some holes on it like someone took a stick to it. Plus there were a large number of flies in room. The table where the phone was at was all chipped and the top of it was peeling apart. In the bathroom you can tell were they had to replace the shower rod by the holes in the wall and there was a broken AC vent in the bathroom shower. The room was very old looking. I went to the front desk to complain and informed the female at the counter we were checking out. Told her about the room and I even had her come to room to see where we didn’t even use the room. I asked her to credit back our credit card and she informed me she would need to check with the manger in the morning. Needless to say the hotel never credited back our credit card. If you want an old looking place with poor customer service and beat up rooms with flies stay here.

3.61km from LuLu BurgessOver the years we have often stayed at the Sleep Inn in Beaufort, South Carolina. We were very, very disappointed this stay. When we arrived the front desk staff was not wearing a mask and made no move to do so. First room had greasy food crumbs on counter and floor, which left long grease smears when we attempted to clean it. Toilet seat up and urine in the toilet. There was hair in shower and on a bed. I went to the front desk; no apology given she handed me another room key. The second room was better but there was a dehumidifier in the room and it was full of mildew water. The inside of the bucket and the inside of the container were lined with mold. I emptied it and covered it with a towel. I asked that no one come in/ clean out room due to Covid. We returned the next afternoon, on Saturday, to find the room had been partially ‘cleaned’. It still had some papers on the floor where we left them near the trash; the floor had not been vacuumed, no new soaps, and new towels, only made one bed. That same day, when we came back in the afternoon and there was some staff taking a break near the front door; none wearing masks. Near the back door were three staff smoking marijuana. We completely understand the bagged breakfast option. Last time it was individually wrapped muffins which are safer and fruit. This time there were muffins in Ziplocs( which were smashed) and fruit (an orange) and a package of peanuts; which was a weird thing to add to a breakfast bag. This will be the last time we stay at Sleep Inn Beaufort unless the management changes. We’ve stayed there three times over the last three months and each time was worse. In fact, last time we were here someone broke a big bottle near the back door... there was glass all over the cement. That glass is still glass there nine weeks later! These are all simple, not expensive or time-consuming things to manage, I would imagine with the residency being lower due to Covid-19 it would be a good time to bring to bring the property back by cleaning and caring for the outside (over grown grass, broken fixtures, broken back door, glass, garbage etc). With all the new hotels being built very nearby, Sleep Inn needs to do better. IF you choose to stay here: Clean the pull out plastic air filters from the AC and wash them in the shower they have been black every single time we have stayed here! If your room has one, do NOT use the dehumidifiers unless you want to push mold spores around your room!
