I have been to 4 or 5 Moxy hotels globally, but the staff at the Lausanne location made this trip perfect. Thank you again Mario, Abdel, and Fernando. The rooms are just what is advertised, comfortable and accessible. For those that may not be aware, Moxy hotels are more directed for families of 4 or less (in my opinion), young travelers, and modern business professionals for a few nights stay. They offer cool, hip drinks for business socials, family games and activities such as Foosball table, giant Jenga, and a pool table. The only thing the Moxy is missing is a mini-fridge in the room but this is all Moxy hotels, not just Lausanne. We live in Basel, Switzerland and decided to take a long weekend in Lausanne/Geneva. We have a 7 month old baby and they went above and beyond to help us with provide a baby cot and constantly sending us ice to keep his milk cold. The location is 5 mins walk from Metro 2 which can lead you to the famous Ouchy-Lausanne viewpoint. There are at least 20-30 restaurants and bars in the center city within 500 meters. I recommend going to Blackbird diner for the brunch and Les Arches for some late night drinks. Will definitely be back and visit this hotel again!

The Ibis in Lausanne is like any other Ibis and is very well run. It’s in the centre of the city and only minutes from all the main attractions and restaurants/bars. My room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The room looked like any other Ibis room, but it was perfect for a night. Breakfast was very good and because of Covid the buffet was actually put together for you. The wonderful staff put a tray together with whatever you wanted. There was a good selection of hot and cold food and it was very tasty. It was actually one of the best breakfasts I’ve had at an Ibis and I’ve stayed at many around the world. The staff are all amazing and the hotel is a great choice if you’re on a budget or if you just want to stay in a hotel that provides the basics, but deliver their services with excellence!

We would like to thank the wonderful staffs for their excellent service. The guy in charge of the hotel at the day of our arrival allowed us to use their washer and dryer in the basement with a very reasonable fee, and helped us to operate the machines even after his shift was ended. At the day of our departure, breakfast was not supposed to be served until 8 am (it was a weekend), and it may be too late for us to catch the train at 8:25. We asked if they could allow us to have the breakfast 15 min earlier. They told us that they would try their best but would not guarantee that. We were pleasantly surprised that the young lady in charge of the breakfast on that day did have everything ready by 7:45 am, and the breakfast was really delicious. In contrast to the excellent service, the condition of our room could be improved. We lived in a room with a private bathroom, and had to take showers in standing water as the water did not drain quickly enough in the shower unit. The entire room also was not adequately lighted in the evening.

This hotel is located right in the pedestrian zone and surrounded on all sides by a cornucopia of shops and eateries of every kind. If arriving by train, ride one stop on the metro to Flon station. May sound extravagant but this way you´ll spare yourself the effort of walking up a really steep hill. The building offers bits of period charm like spacious central stairs or pudgy water heating radiators in rooms. Light breakfast fare is included in the room rate offering salami sausage, an assortment of cheeses (what else?) and a wide range of tasty marmalades and delicious chocolate-based spreads. Coffee with frothed hot milk served on the side was excellent. There is a terrace on the top floor that offers nice views of central Lausanne. My room was sufficiently large and airy and did not feel cluttered by furniture that besides a desk also included a padded easy chair and a coffee table. Bed and bedside lighting were excellent, the only disappointment being the pillows, rather thin and of an uncomfortable shape. For some reason the quality of pillows often gets neglected, at least that is my experience. Shower tub was curtained off by cloth drapes, which when wet tended to cling to the body and generally get in the way. Room colours were quite lively, battleship grey with red and white accents and a comics-style mural taking up one whole wall (see picture). In my room there was a small cooler (I mean a fridge without the frost compartment), which proved to be perfectly capable of keeping basic victuals at below room temperature. One (temporary) inconvenience was created by a capital reconstruction of a building right across the street where works started punctually at seven in the morning. I can´t say it bothered me much at all but as the room has no air-conditioning, if I am allowed a speculation, come the warm season an open window may create a tad of problem for late risers. To end on a positive note, internet connection was stable and sufficiently fast for video calls. Oh, and there was free coffee (capsules) and tea available the whole day through in the breakfast room, which I found quite touching.

This hotel is located in the center of Lausanne, a very good location. You can park at the Montbenon Parking next to the hotel with 50% discount. The personnel is profesional and friendly. The hotel is doing its best to be cool and the decoration of the room is quite hip. There are some gadgets and plenty of amenities. So that is very nice, however.... My room was just too small. There is hardly any space for your suitcase and I felt claustrofobic. There is no real bathroom, only a shower. On top of that you cannot open the windows, that is a major problem in such a small room. Especially with your toilet next to your bed you would expect some proper ventilation. Breakfast is basic but good enough.

A last minute trip to Lausanne and I decided to stay in this hotel, one street over from where I lived for 21 years. And I am really glad that I chose it. The first impression is the staff. The woman who checked me in was super friendly and helpful. When I got to my room I was impressed. Newly renovated, clean and modern with removable duvet covers and all white bedding which I prefer, and not those old fashioned bed spreads that 8 million people have touched. The mattress was super comfortable. There was a portable air conditioning unit but I prefer sleeping with the window open. It can be a noisy neighborhood but on a Sunday night it wasn't bad, plus with the virus there weren't many people walking around so I slept well. The only problem was that the shower leaked under the glass door onto the carpet a bit but I used the bathmat and a towel to sop it up. There should be a rubber gasket to block the space at the bottom of the shower door. Breakfast was included but I didn't take advantage of it.

We were there for just one night on our anniversary. Everything was perfect. The concierge was very helpful in organizing the “rose petal surprise” in the room to make things even more romantic. We had a suite with lac view. Definitely a stunning set-up if you are going all out. The spa is nice but good to know men and women are separated in the saunas and hamam. Book ahead if you want to go for massages. We were too late for this but greatly enjoyed the relaxing pool area. Food and service at the brasserie were excellent French wines are quite expensive but they have an extensive card of special (and more affordable) Swiss wines for all meals. We would look forward to going back there.

The hotel was booked for me, for a business trip. If I had paid for it myself, I would have felt cheated. The location is very good; it is within easy walking distance of the main train station, as well as Lausanne Flon train station and the centre of town. However, the service is patchy, and I get the impression that leadership is lacking. I came down to breakfast 15 minutes before the allotted finish time, but before I had the chance to select a bit more food, and a second coffee, it had all been tidied away. That did not impress me one bit. For a hotel at that price (including 20 Swiss Francs for breakfast), I would have expected better. Positive features were the comfortable bed and duvet, as well as the very helpful restaurant manager, who graciously fitted my group of 11 in for dinner on a Sunday evening.

I spent three nights in a fourth floor room with balcony and lake view. The room was quite comfortable, with marvelous lake breezes from the large window on the east side and the slider door on the south. The balcony was spacious, with a table and chairs. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of electrical outlets, a nice side chair, minibar frig, plenty of storage and a security safe. The bathroom is small and dated, but perfectly fine and spotlessly clean. The desk staff was always friendly and helpful, as was the dining room staff at breakfast. And with pastries, breads, fruit, boiled eggs, meats, cheese, juice, cereal, etc., it was easy to get a filling breakfast which carried me through my day. The location is superb: five minutes from the train station and metro line. Yes, it's uphill from the station, but not very far. Besides, everything is uphill in Lausanne. The position near the train station is convenient not only for transportation, but for take-away food options for a decent and reasonably-priced meal at the end of the day. I enjoyed this hotel, and give it a strong recommendation. I would certainly stay there again.

The hotel is very centrally located right opposite from the Lausanne train station. The entrance to it is nestled between some shops, one being its own cafe where breakfast is available at an extra cost. The recption was neat and tidy and the staff were very engaging and attentitive. I had booked a single room and was offered an upgrade at a reduced price to the standard room. I declined and was glad I did was my room was more than adaquate and the bed size was still decent. I will add that I am sure a room at the front of the hotel on a higher floor would offer a lovely view over the town and down to the lake. My view was of an office block. The room had all the amenities you would expect but with the bonus of a fridge also. The room was basic, but decently decorated and holds up well in comparision to the generic chain hotels. Overall, a decent hotel, with good value especially if you shop around on different comparison sites. I would stay here again but would try for a nicer view on a higher floor.

Stayed here for the world triathlon finals. It is a way out of town, but 2 trams run very nearby. There are also a couple of bars, supermarkets and restaurants near. It’s easy to get to and from the station. Nice spacious and very comfy room with a/c, but not all rooms have it so worth checking. The room was very quiet and we slept very well. English channels on TV so I could watch La Vuelta. Weirdly, no kettle in the room, but you can order tea from reception. Who doesn’t make a cup of tea at bedtime ? Breakfast was ok, the staff in the restaurant are very helpful, as are the staff on reception. The breakfast is “free” so you can’t really complain. Overall I would stay again.

Discreet, older, boutique hotel conveniently located approx 100yds (100m) from Lausanne Gare (train station). Hotel bed was a bit too soft for our ideal comfort, and the thermostat seemed to be purely decorative, but the room itself was quite spacious, had windows which opened and was pleasantly decorated with antiques in an Asian motif. Staff provided us robes, slippers and a minibar refrigerator (which was quite nice at this lower/mid-tier price point). Hotel Victoria was quite clean and a perfectly situated accommodation for a week-long stay. The property serves as a great base from which to explore Swiss cities along the Golden Pass panoramic train route (and others, as well)). Breakfast was tasty and offered a variety of hot veg, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, coffee, tea, milk, juices, and cold cuts which likely suit guest preferences from most western countries. Desk staff was very friendly, flexible and knowledgeable and went out of their way to expedite a laundry item that I had turned in past the regular morning deadline. Although other reviewers have noted the hotel is older and in need of updating soon, the climate control issues are what keep me from rating this hotel more highly. If not for the cool (5-7C/40F) temps outside (and our 2 nice double windows open) we would have sweltered. Despite the age of the property, I felt the room was pretty clean. (Only dingy spot I really noticed was the floor outlet behind the night stand I had to run my power cords through to charge my devices). However, with so many antiques and period pieces there is the danger that the hotel and decor deteriorates from “quaint/quirky boutique” to “funky/dilapidated hovel.” Fingers crossed the Victoria can stay viable with a few timely, minor updates to the climate system, more modern/convenient power outlets, refreshed flooring, and other minor tweaks—all while still maintaining the wonderful historic character of this classic-style, open atrium, hotel.

I book 2 rooms in this hotel for 5 nights. One executive room for 3 people and a smaller one for 2 people. I was there with my family. At arrival the lady at the counter gave me the great news that my other room fro 2 people was upgraded for free so we could have the rooms next to each other. Very nice indeed. When I asked where I could park I was told that I was welcome to park at the hotel but a few meters away was a parking which was a lot cheaper. Again ver nice, The hotel overall is very clean, stuff is friendly, the pool is nice and clean and is a few meters away from the lake. The rooms have everything you need and are very spacious and quiet. I would definitely return to this hotel with my family.

We stayed 26-30th Sept. My husband was celebrating his 70th birthday & wanted us all to come to Lausanne to celebrate. We had booked 1 'classic' double room & 1 twin 'executive' room for our 2 adult sons. However on arrival we were told we had been upgraded & that our classic was now an executive double whilst my sons were given a junior suite. When we went to our rooms it appears that both the double & twins are 2 beds moved together rather than 2 separate beds for the twin. We could have swapped the rooms but decided to keep them as we had already started unpacking. The boys had the better view of seeing the lake in the distance while we had a street view but it was quiet. I can't imagine the size the classic room would have been, quite smaller as the executive is what I would call 'normal'! The hotel is situated right next to Delice station 2 stops down on the metro from the main station. It is in a very convenient location with bus stops outside too. To walk from the main station is around 10-15mins. The hotel gave us free travel passes which you could use on the metro, train, bus & trams, so we had great fun getting around as well as beautiful warm weather. The rooms were clean, towels changed daily if you wanted, lovely choice of bathroom toiletries. Also had UK tv channels including ITV, Ch4 & 5 as well as the usual BBC. A bonus was also having a kettle with tea/coffee sachets. Had to ask for some milk. Also a minibar which somehow didn't have a knob to adjust the setting so drinks put in weren't cold. There was no thermostat to adjust it, more like a storage. The lift would accommodate 4 people & some luggage. Steps outside would make it a challenge for mobility problems & maybe should have a type of ramp on the side for heavy cases to pull along or those with children in buggies? The breakfast buffet had a good choice of usual type of fresh fruit, orange or mixed fruit juice, dried fruit, 3 types of cereal & various breads. However with your choice of hot food it quickly ran out but was refilled. Just 1 metal container for scrambled & fried eggs, sausages, bacon & baked beans. The choice is adequate compared to some hotels we have stayed which has had a vast selection where a lot is probably wasted. Here at least there is less risk. Coffee machines using different pods. The staff are very helpful. Our concern one night whilst watching TV not loud was a thumping on our connecting door which we reported to staff who were supposed to speak to the guests, but don't know if they ever did? It was quite menacing & unexpected. Just a shame the room wasn't saved for my sons so we would have had 2 connecting rooms? You can drink the tap water, it tastes so pure. This hotel is also popular for business gatherings. It looks & feels quite original. Overall we would stay here again but bear in mind there is not much choice of restaurants around if you like to eat out so you will need to use your pass to another area.

This hotel is right at the same point as metro station, and it’s easy to travel anywhere in the city It has a huge parking area and the parking is included into the room price You are given the free ticket for the public transport for all period of stay Breakfast is good: it has not only “must have” menu, but the good choice of nice local cheese The guys at the redemption are friendly and willing to help, advises are useful and client oriented Beds are comfortable, the Aquatis aquarium is right in that building Overall it’s good place to stay if you consider value for money It’s also close to EHL university (Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne). As for the minuses it’s 3* looking at the room: the way it’s equipped and the size. It’s quite simple. Window view does not exist (and you are not in the heart of Paris or London) Wardrobe is small even for one person and it’s away from the center and from the lake Even it’s not maximum rate on my view, I would recommend staying here

This hotel is situated in a great part of Lausanne. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in early September and were pleased with the location. It is close to markets and nice restaurants, as well as a nearby park. There is a supermarket very close if you need that as well. Our room was a lake view suite. The room was actually 2 adjoining rooms with a common foyer. One was a standard room and the other was a corner suite. The corner suite was more than enough for us, and I would have liked it if we could have just had that room at a cheaper price. But if you need 2 bedrooms this is the way to go. The only disappointment was that the wifi in the room was terrible. We couldn't hardly connect and when we did it was very slow. Much better connections on the ground floor lobby, but what's the point of in-room wifi if you can't connect?

The Hotel is located outside the city center near the sea. Rooms are quite big and well furnished. What was really good was the silence during the night, no rumor at all. 10 min walk and you have the M1 EPFL which brings you in the city center and the hotel give you a card that alllow you to travel free with public transport for your entire staying (maybe only with direct reservation). Othwerwise if you come with car there is a private parking. good value for money
