We were a group of five retired gents, off on our annual bender. We stayed here before flying early the next morning from Gatwick. All went mostly very well - we had four days free parking for one car per room, check-in was very efficient, evening meal was very good, room was excellent and hotel booked us a taxi for early the next morning. Our issues were - we'd specifically asked for & had confirmed twin-bedded rooms - we were allocated doubles so hotel had to sort this out. There was a plumbing problem in one of the rooms and one of our party didn't get his early morning call - this could've been disastrous. As organiser, I paid for all the rooms but ended up being charged for two additional rooms - this was soon sorted out. All in all, I'd recommend this hotel.

Very close to the GATWICK airport, 7.5KM, close to the nearby town, you can go out to shop and eat. If you are driving, there is a parking space for £7 overnight (compared to the very difficult parking space, the hotel's facilities and charges can be very pleasant to accept.) There are also shuttle buses to the airport. The hotel environment is good, although the road is in front of the road, but it is not noisy. English breakfast is acceptable, except for less vegetables, a pot of coffee is brewed with coffee, not instant coffee. There is also a self-service coffee machine in the lobby and a bar in the evening. The room has a soft linen and complete spare items. The drinks include instant coffee, tea bags, ice buckets and a small fridge. Toothbrushes and slippers need to be provided.

Our Gatwick hotel is perfectly located halfway between London and Brighton, and less than five miles from Gatwick Airport - meaning you're in prime position for the South East's business and leisure destinations, as well as early flights or late arrivals. The hotel also features our new generation bedrooms, with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. But it's not all about the long haul, there's plenty to keep you busy nearby too - from getting active at the K2 Leisure Centre and watching the action at Broadfield Stadium, to walking the high wire at Go Ape, Tilgate Park and living the high life at Slaugham Manor. Then take the weight off your feet in our Thyme restaurant and extra-comfy rooms.

The restaurant I was told is fully booked in the evening yet it was nearly empty when i went in at 8.00pm which is normally a bust time!. The breakfast at this hotel used to be at an earlier time at the weekends and that's why I stayed here and now it is 7.00am on a Sunday but at this time the queue was a 20 minutes wait to get served and I had to get off to work. Its pretty obvious as a hotel close to the airport that many customers need to get away early so not sure why the breakfast is not not served early anymore as it used to be especially when there's a huge queue waiting too. I asked a waitress if I could at least get a cup of coffee at 6.55am and she said yes, then another came over as I was getting this and told me to wait another two minutes ( how petty)

We were flying from Gatwick so I had been looking around for an airport hotel. Price and location were the key prices for on airport hotels were crazy so I looked at some of the local hotels. I found the premier Inn and the price for the night £81 was the cheapest for the hotels in the area. On arrival we missed the turning as there is no sign until you are on top of the site and then turn in. The parking at the back of the site but is in fact at the front of the hotel. Upon check in we asked for a ground floor room only because we had luggage and no lift which Stef was happy to do ! The room was clean and a standard premier inn room you know what your getting with this chain. We eat off site but did use the Chef and Brewer site ‘The Gatwick Manor’ for a drink - food looked good and service was fast and friendly. Breakfast is served in the breakfast room and this is where my frustration with the room was and the reason for the 3 star. We didn’t prebook breakfast so had to pay on the day £10.50 full Cooker selection and £8.50 for the continental breakfast. The menu online does say £9.50!! You could have paid for 2 continental and no one would have batted an eyelid. However the chef decided to refresh all the selection which then meant there was await until this was ready - she did ask me how many I wanted but I was already done and didn’t have the time to wait for it anyway. So overall a solid room and does exactly what it says on the tin - if you need an airport hotel then this will tick that box it’s 5/10 min from the south terminal ! Clean rooms and the pub on site was good - few gripes with breakfast but overall not bad for the money !

Stayed here as part of a group booking of 17 walkers for a 3-night stay. It was organised through event manager Holly at this recently refurbished hotel which we found very comfortable. Holly was superb and so helpfull. I could not have asked for more. She certainly went the extra mile. All staff were polite and helpful. At dinner we were supported by several staff who were equally efficient. However, our group were most impressed with Constantina. Like Holly, she was polite, attentive, watchful of our needs and could not have been more helpful. Both were a credit to the business and enabled our enjoyable weekend to go smoothly and without hitch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, found the rooms comfortable and the food good. We will look to revisit, either individually or a sa group, and hope to secure the same support as was provided on this occasion. Check in and out was efficient too. Thanks to everyone.

After reading some of the good reviews we booked two rooms. We arrived after a 4 hour drive and we was really looking forward to our nights stay prior to the start of our holiday. The driveway looked good and the receptionist was very welcoming and checked us in with no problem. We then started walking towards the rooms and realised that the place was not quite like the pictures and the reviews made us feel like we was at the wrong location. The twin room was absolutely shocking and dated we was really disappointed. The other room had been re decorated and was more pleasing to the eye. We then went down to reception to complain we mentioned a whole list of issues and asked about breakfast and if there was a facility to by a drink and we was told that there was no food available and the kitchen has been closed for many months. Such a shame on the website the pics show a great looking facility that is clearly no longer available. We then drove around trying to get into somewhere for food 2 hours later everywhere was full. I write this review to hope that it gives a fair reflection of our visit overall extremely disappointing and probably the worst start to a holiday that we have ever had we really regret booking it feel like the owner needs to remove his pictures and descriptions of this place from the website and put honest and up to date information on the web page. On a positive note the car parking was controlled and reasonably well priced. The hotel however was overpriced and you can get much better with breakfast for cheaper.
