So let’s start with the good- it’s a big spacious room, with a kitchenette if you want to make food, and it’s in a very residential quiet neighborhood (if that’s your thing, it was great for us) and close to a train stop. This is not a hotel. It’s like a boarding house. So don’t expect your room cleaned, or a front desk person at night. Might be good for someone visiting for business? The bad. Ok no a/c at all. We were boiling. We had to keep the windows open all night, which meant lots of bugs flying in... not ideal. Also the WiFi was really spotty. The bathroom light was motion sensor only, so it was kind of annoying that you couldn’t just turn it on or off. And this is weird but we decided to do laundry in the basement (which was straight out of a horror movie) and the washers and dryers didn’t work well and even took some of our money without working. So, it wasn’t our favorite place, but wasn’t awful. Make sure to weigh the pros and cons!

Everything is different at the moment because of CORONA... We chose this hotel because it was one of few hotels that had opened the pool area. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The spa area was closed but the spa pool was really nice /quiet and relaxing. It was nice to swim outside. It was heated. The spa area lokkede really nice as we walked through it. The fitness classes were all fully booked - but I was lucky to get a spot from the waiting list. The yoga was good. ( We didn't know we had to book in advance from home which would have given us more options of different fitness classes) next time we will do that. The gym is really nice. The garden around the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast was at the lobby and it tasted really good. A clean and nice hotel where you can relax and be active. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. There are a lot of great restaurants walking distance from the hotel. And the bus is easy to use - bus stop right outside the hotel. We enjoyed this calm and stress-free hotel... It might be different after corona. Maybe we'll take the kids next time. They can play soccer and much more...

We stayed here recently on a trip to Hamburg and surrounding area, only staying one night. The hotel is in a quiet residential area north east of the city centre. It's conveniently located for local train and bus services, and is around 1-1.5 km from the centre. The building appears to be turn of the 20th century built, with rooms varying in size. However, the hotel is well kept, tidy and clean. Our room was a large basement room, with views to the rear of the property. It was large enough to hold a king-size bed, sofa, coffee table and an ante-room with a desk. The bathroom looked new as well. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice from the buffet as you would expect from a German hotel - bread, rolls, cereal, cheeses, hams, and your choice of teas and coffees. They also offer gluten free! Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. My only negative comments would be a lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room. Considering they call it a slice of England in Hamburg, pretty much all hotels at this price offer tea/coffee facilities in England. They may have offered tea/coffee for free in lieu of this, but I wasn't aware if they did. Hopefully, the owners can clarify. My only other comment would be that you'd need to be careful when booking a room as to the size. We saw a single room being made-up which was very limited in space. However, I'm sure the owners will help you choose a good room for you. To summarise, a great place to stay and would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet location and doesn't mind a short walk to the city centre.

Marketing: Yes, you'll get a bathtub. Reality: Nah, you'll get a shower. Apart from that, the hotel is nice, the room is clean, noise from the traffic is acceptable and there's not much to complain about. They just don't deliver what they sell.

The hotel is in a beautiful old building on the Aussen Alster that is being renovated. We had one of the new rooms with a sitting room and gloriously large bathroom. I'm very sensitive to noises of all kinds and I slept really well. Lovely location right across from the walking path around the lake. Slight demerit: The curtains were new but not functioning property. Breakfast was good but not great.

First up: There is nothing Japanese about this hotel - but the rooms are nice and the mini bar is free. On a business trip, we’d organised boating activities along the lake. The Nippon’s location was perfect - just 7 minutes walk to the water - and with a large, healthy convenience store in the middle. It will cost you €20 for a cab to the Nippon from the airport - which is a €40 return journey. That might bring other hotels in to play - for example near Hauptbahnhof. The room was a good size, very modern, with a powerful AC unit (very welcome - since we booked in the middle of a 34 degree heatwave). Breakfast is basic and the staff are friendly. It is a fine example of a good 4-star hotel near the main lake. VERY STRANGE: The photos online make the hotel look like a Japanese dojo. Our experience was of a very straightforward western-style hotel. Not a tatami, bamboo curtain or chopstick in sight.

Well aware of what to expect from an Ibis, I decided to give this section of the Ibis selection a chance by staying a bit detached from downtown Hamburg but not that far; one is at the heart of the city in no time, tube station U3 Hamburger Strasse is no 5min away on foot! The aera is purely residential, extremely quiet, really away from the hussle and bussle, perfect for families; in the surroundings one finds supermarkets, coffee shops, small restaurantes, a petrol stations and one shopping mall, the famous Hamburger Meile! The concept of style differs depending on the location, the idea is to adapt to the area and make basic special: if that is the target, they did succeed in this ibis Style branch, although it could definitely cost a little less for not being that central... Similar standards found in any Ibis around the world can be expected there, though I got amazed at how large the room was, compared to a usual tiny Ibis size! There is no wardrobe in the room, the floor is carpeted, I couldn't find where to control the temperature and the worktable is too small for an adult; some furniture is already a bit tired and scratched, bathroom is all right but towels are reaching their due lifetime... Breakfast is rather basic but you really won't miss anything there; bread is fresch but juice isn't and only scrambled eggs are the warm options. But bear in mind it is an Ibis anyway and the the hotel lays between two supermarkets, if you miss something! It's a place to bear in mind for short stays in the future but management should really see into price, for it should really cost much less given its location and what it offers - thumbs-up, though, anyway!

The hotel is approximately 10 minutes from the subway or train. But go straight to the main train station for about 20 minutes, and there will be many restaurants to choose from along the way, so the location is OK. The room was originally booked as a newly renovated large room. As a result, there was no external window in the room. After changing to the outside, the room was smaller. When ordering, it should be clear. After all, the price should be different. The photo of the photo is a look at the inner window, a pile of sheep, haha

Deliberately chose a hotel suitable for shopping, it is really good, next door is the mall, you can go shopping at any time, hotel facilities are not like five stars, put China is the most four stars, the waiter attitude is very good, some general, especially Restaurant waiter! I have had two burgers at the bar. It’s so delicious that you have to try it! The breakfast is almost always cool. It’s enough to eat for seven days. I still want to bring some Chinese food. I don’t want to save money.

We stayed 4 nights in this excellent resort. It was very quiet and our room had plenty of space. Our bed was good and comfortable and as it is a fairly new resort everything was really well kept, very clean and everything was of high quality. The bathroom was very nice and large enough for 2 persons. It is near the main station and within a short walking distance of the main areas such as Rathaus, Jungfernsteg, Speicherstadt etc. and the main shopping streets. We had a cooking facility, but we only had breakfast as there are so many good restaurants in Hamburg. A delight was being able to drink Nespresso coffee as there is a machine in every room. When we come back to Hamburg we know where we will stay. The staff at the reception were very helpful when we had questions.

Very reasonable hotel. Basic but perfectly adequate for the trip at hand. The buffet breakfast was well worth the €12. The bar was an excellent place to start the festivities. It is still very close to the airport. There is a taxi at 15-20 Euros. There is no shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to the airport, but you need to download the app to make a reservation. If you don't understand English, it is very troublesome. My friend doesn't understand English. I got the app one day, but I didn't take the free shuttle bus the next day and took a taxi to the airport. There is a radisson blue opposite Hamburg Airport, which is enough to walk. The holiday is still very good, the rooms are very good, modern style, complete facilities, full health, restaurant food is cheap, taste is also very good

Such a cool hotel, perfect for seeing Hamburg, the hotel has a nautical Captain Nemo nautical vibe, no wonder as it’s located right in the middle of Hafencity and so handy for all the places you need to see. There’s loads of great bars and restaurants close by and a big car park on the opposite side of the road, (there’s even a Hydrongen fuel cel charging station just down the road, how cool was that!) My room was perfect for me and had a nice selection of La Bottega soaps and toiletries and facing the rear of the building was super quiet The lady running breakfast checkin deserves special praise as she was super helpful and despite their being a fire alarm one morning, the staff were friendly and efficient I will definitely return, thanks to the Pierdrei team

I've stayed in Hamburg many times but wanted to experience something different, so decided to book this hotel. The rooms are unique but very well laid out to maximize space. I loved everything about the room (except for the rock hard pillows) and the hotel. It is also located within steps of the S-Bahn (the S1 is only 2 stops from the Haupbahnhof (Main Train Station) and only 30 minutes direct to the airport. The area is also within steps of the main shopping district yet only a few minutes walk to the harbour/river. With everything within walking distance, there was no need for using transit. The hotel also has a really neat "vibe" and the staff are all fluent in English and very helpful. The rooms are very comfortable except for the rock hard pillows (I purchased an airline pillow after the first night). While the breakfast is adequate, the bread selection was very limited and portions extremely small (bread rolls). These were the only minor issues I found otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

The train station has to take a stop on the S light rail in the past, and the Chinese traveled by the youth travellers, the communication is very smooth. The girl at the front desk also sent a bottle of Baique Antelope Hand Cream, which made her hands no longer chapped and painful in the days of wandering in Europe. I am very grateful! The room is a bit small but very clean, there is a small supermarket opened by the Chinese downstairs, everything is fine, except that the price is a bit expensive.

Great, new, small, three-star hotel, with very central location on Reeperbahn. Very near to S Bahn station “Reeperbahn”. Ideal for a short stay. The entrance is as a normal stairway, at first floor one reaches the small reception. Wonderful, super friendly personnel. With your room key, you will be able to enter the hotel entrance door as well. Don’t forget to lock from inside when you are in the room, or when you leave, as doors do not lock themselves automatically. Small, fresh, simply decorated and furnished rooms, which though have all one needs for a short stay. Small open wardrobe with some hangers, safe. All is in one room, also shower, sink and toilet, for which reason it may not be ideal for a couple. There is a hair, and a towel dryer. Two simple shower gel/Shampoo. All, more than fine, for a three-star category hotel. To note, at the sink, hot water is right, and one gets cold water, by pulling left. Shower is a “Hans Grohe”, new button water system shower. They are good, as long as, technique works. Philips flat screen TV with mostly German channels, however, assumingly, most visitors are not staying along Reeperbahn for watching TV. Several Electric socket (EU Standard). Ok Wifi. Stairs, no lift. Not ideal for disable, or anyone who has difficulties with walking stairs. Clean.

Never been to Hamburg before; read reviews for this hotel and took it. The short walk from the U-bahn I had a few doubts... lots of gratiffi etc (I'm not a prude, but thought maybe I'd made a bit of a "too colorful" choice). Got to the hotel and it was great. Newly remodeled, very clean and modern. The desk manager was absolutely the best and most friendly I have ever run in to, even at 5-star hotels. She volunteered info, maps, umbrella etc, gave hints for where to walk close in the neighborhood to find shops and supplies. Room was wonderful. Good new bathroom, great shower. Good quality towels and shampoo. Breakfast buffet was top notch. There were the typical pan of eggs and sausage, but then tons of other high quality food. Multiple cheeses [real cheese, not just slices]. Lox and 3 other fish items. Excellent deviled eggs, each day had different toppings. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed for seven nights at the Ibis St Pauli Messe from 30th May to 6th June 2019. Although the hotel's reception area was in the middle of refurbishment, the friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff meant that this did not impact on the pleasure of my stay in any way. My room was basic but very clean as were the en suite facilities. Breakfast was of a high standard and the staff courteous and helpful. The hotel is close to St Pauli Messe U and thus the city centre and other areas are easily accessible. There are good restaurants in the vicinity. My only complain would be that the room did not have a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. I know this was made clear before I arrived, but it would have made a big difference to my stay to have made myself a cup of tea on waking and on returning to the hotel at the end of the day. The Holiday Inn Express hotel opposite, which is of a similar standard, did provide such facilities. This apart, I would recommend heartily recommend this hotel as a Hamburg touring base.

The location is excellent, and all the sights and shopping centers in the city of Hamburg are walking distance. Close to the Dommtor train station, it is convenient to get on and off the train and light rail, and it is less safe than the central station. The view of the floor on the floor is good, but there is a bar downstairs with some noise at night. There was something wrong with Ctrip when booking. The three-night order allowed me to split it into 1+2, saying it was cheap. After the first night of confirmation, after a day, the text message told me that because the contact could not be contacted, the second order could not be completed (very strange reason), and the price went up a lot when the order was placed! And every morning I have to go to the front desk to check out and check in. Although I just walked through the game, it also added a lot of trouble.

We stopped here for a night while going through Hamburg, but didn't have time to spend more than one night here. Our stay had nothing to do with it being Eco-friendly, but that was a nice bonus. The room had one bed and some space, and there was an extra double bed in a separate bedroom. It worked great for our family of five including 3 kids. The breakfast was a highlight, and was very fresh. They made eggs to order as well as hot chocolate for our kids. The woman working in the morning was very sweet with our kids, gave them a piece of candy and even found a box of colored pencils and coloring sheets for my 5-yr old son who was bored during breakfast. After we checked out we made a 5+ minute walk to a little park with a great little playground just a bit north and east (Spielplatz Zylberbergstraße).

We stayed here in the middle of July. After a few days of looking for Hotels near the city centre but not wanting to pay a fortune to ensure we had a private bathroom (Trust me, it's near impossible... Feel free to search) I came accross the Stadthotel. I was a bit dubious to begin with as the Hotel is a good 1.5miles from the 'heart' of Hamburg. However..... After realising the nearest S1 station (Berliner Tor) was 5 minutes walk from the Hotel we were delighted with the location. The Hotel is easily missed but does have signage advertising it. The interior is very nice and appears freshly renovated. The check in was straight forward and friendly. The receptionist explained clearly the facilities (including a boxing ring and gym facilities on the 2nd floor). There is no 24hour manned reception but Hotel is secure via Card entry system and a contact info card given - we did not feel unsafe at any point. There is a small lift in the guest entrance and old fashioned floating concrete steps should you choose to climb to any of the 4 floors. There is a nice, fresh modern and contemporary look to the corridors and rooms. We stayed on the 3rd floor amd could see down in to the gym and accross the SBahn tracks and area. We got the Sun all day! The room was very nice and came with a fan which was needed due to the humidity! Little sweets greeted is on our pillows and tea/coffee facilities were provided. There was a fridge and safe and complimentary toiletries. Tv with lots of channels (news, sport etc) for those who like to spend their holiday watching tv.... Overall the Hotel was very good. The only interaction we had with staff was at check in and he was pleasant. We would definitely stay here again. If you do.. Make sure you remember Berliner Tor station is well serviced and dont be put off by the distance. It takes less than 5 minutes on the S1 to central station and services many other parts of the city!

The hotel is located in the new port city, right inside the Hamburg landmark concert hall. You can take the bus on the Elbe 72 directly to the hotel. There is a good French restaurant opposite, a North German-style kitchen and special beer in the concert hall. The rooms are reasonably furnished, the beds in the twin rooms are large enough, and if you are lucky, the scenery is very good. This hotel is essentially a bed & breakfast, but it is very well run, immaculately clean, and provides friendly service in a good location in the Blankenese neighborhood of Hamburg. Blankenese is in the far west of Hamburg, so this is not a downtown location near the major sights and attractions. The rooms are comfortably furnished and very quiet. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast in the on-site breakfast restaurant; the buffet contains a surprisingly wide range of breakfast items, and everything I tried was tasty and of high quality. The hotel is within easy walking distance of several restaurants, bars and cafes if one is searching for lunch or dinner options. The train station with direct access to downtown Hamburg is a 5-10 minutes walk away. One can also very easily walk from the hotel to the Elbe river, where there are additional restaurants and cafes directly on the river, plus of course virtually endless walking/hiking trails.

So my wife and I went to Hamburg for a quick break after our wedding. We stayed at the Superbude as it wasweld priced and seemed to be in a good location. Firstly, yes, the location is brilliant. About 5-6 min walk from a subway station and really easy to navigate to. It is in the west part of the city centre and there are so many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants within 5 mins walk. It was perfect. It is also just outside 'proper' St Pauli so you can easily walk to there but then leave it behind if you want a bit of peace. The area seemed really safe and there was a great mix of people around. The room we had was really good, all the things you could want or need. Considering it is a hostel, it had better facilities than some hotels in Britain! Only issue with the room was that it might be a little noisy in the summer as we heard people in rooms near us or walking past. There are the usual hostel facilities in the reception area, so you can take your own food etc. There is a bar but it was quite pricey. There were also families staying at the hostel and it was a relaxed vibe. Not sure what it may be like in the summer though. Seemed chilled out though. Only issue was the reception staff were a little short with us. Not sure why but it wasn't the most welcoming when we arrived. But it isn't a big issue. Staff when we left were nice so maybe it was just a bad day. All in all, it was very good. I would definitely consider staying again if we visit Hamburg.

The torture Hamburg is locatated near Gänsemarkt making it ideal for anyone to explore the city. It is located within a historic passage that is especially during Christmas beautifully decorated with a large Christmas tree in the centre. The hotel room had very high walls (which made the room appear very large) and was decorated in an elegant stilish way that made us feel comfortable. The room was extremely clean and the ground heating made us feel immediately warm after a clod day in Hamburg. The Torture Hotel offers a great breakfast that is a combination of buffet and a la card. The a la card options were excellent, especially the french roast was one of the best we had so far. The buffet had great fresh options such as home made jam and honey. Overall this breakfast was better than we have often experienced in larger hotels given the fact that most food was made freshly and a large selection was available. We would like to come back to this hotel for our next hamburg visit and would recommend the Torture to anyone who is looking for a unique luxury experience.

Temporary looking for a hotel, still quite satisfactory, but far from the city center, a small partner without a car may not be suitable. The room was clean and tidy, but it was very quiet, but the bed was a bit too soft. There is no air conditioning in the room, but the weather in Hamburg does not need to be air conditioned.

Very good experience, the breakfast is very rich and good, the environment is particularly good, sitting by the window can enjoy the lake view, is the best hotel in Hamburg, 3-5 hundred meters away from the city and big-name shops, the bed in the room is very comfortable, The bedding was very comfortable. It is the grade of Four Seasons Hotel. It seems that there is no other problem than your expensive point. I highly recommend it to friends in Hamburg.
