Stayed in this hotel with the Travelsphere group during their Cinque Terre Tour last week. I think the pictures don't quite do the hotel justice. I normally stay in hotels a lot plusher than this but this was the hotel chosen for the tour. I must admit even though it is very basic when it comes to furniture and lacks ambience due to furnishings and colours I cannot fault the cleanliness and the nice staff that were working during my stay. I had a standard double on the first floor towards the front of the hotel facing towards the sea across the road, the room was large bright and airy, simply furnished but with lots of hanging space and drawers, the bathroom was a good size and spotlessly clean - the room is tiled which has good and bad points - nearly slipped twice! The room really was adequate for my stay as I was out during the day - had a safe and hairdryer in bathroom - I took my own travel jug and coffee as there was not tea/coffee making facilities in the room and I do like a cuppa coffee as soon as my eyes open There is a bar but annoyingly they didn't like people taking drinks from the bar into the dining room. The drinks are very sensibly priced Aperol Spritz at 6 euros. The bar staff were chatty, helpful - really nice - cant remember his name but the young Albanian bar/ waiter was very pleasant. I didn't particularly like the food - the salad buffet at the start was far better than the 3 course meal that followed - twice I had fish and eggs that were like rubber! - it was very bland food - and usually turned up luke warm so I wont pass such praise on the food front The young girls on the Reception desk were also so friendly and extremely helpful, always smiling and there to answer any queries - I did actually mention to the manager of the hotel how nice I found all the staff I came across during my stay There is a pool which was clean and had adequate beds/seating - there were bikes to rent which I thoroughly recommend - you can cycle to Viareggio about 45 mins each way The only downside of this area is that the local shops are all designer which if you are not into designer shops leaves you with nothing to do in the evening locally other than eat or drink as there are no nice little shops to stroll in and out of to while away the evening after a meal. The location is good though to use as a base to tour Pisa, Lucca, Lerici, Cinque Terre, Portofino, Portovenere etc It literally is a stones throw across the road to a beach but you are looking at 30 euros plus to hire beds/chairs and you are like sardines! If you are into running and cycling like I am then you will like the way you can run and cycle safely on the designated paths - if you do wave to Andrea Bocelli as you pass his house on the main road!

We had never before visited this area we had done the Cinque Terre and Tuscany but what a wonderful private hotel this is ! Dedicated staff who worked hard to improve our stay.200 metres from the sea and 300 to the town centre. Each evening our room was re-serviced and the bed turned down. The Sky box was nice to relax to after a day touring the coast line.If you want an example of customer care we informed the receptionist of our early departure to find our car had been moved and placed in readiness for our departure. We will steer our friends to the hotel it is superb!

I arrived in Forte dei Marmi last week end with my family, after an holiday in Rome and Venice. It was a last minute decision because I wanted to go to the sea. We found an offer on this hotel and we booked. We were ready to arrive in a simple and basic place. At the arrival we were surprised to find a nice and clean hotel not far from the sea. Mrs Daniela welcomed us with a sweet smile. She gave us all informations we needed and took us to our room. The room was a large and comfortable family room with garden view. I really loved it. In the evening we went out for dinner thanks to Roberto's advices. If you want to know what to do and where to go you have to ask to Roberto! He really knows everything about Forte dei Marmi!! Unfortunately our staying in Forte dei Marmi was not too long because we were at the end of our holiday. But we want to come back to enjoy hotel President and Forte dei Marmi in summer!

If you visit the hotel in the high season and pay a lot of money you get a greater choice of food (Antipasti buffet etc). The cook is excellent especially his pasta dishes.Forti DEI MARMI is not an inexpensive destination. It is a premium sea side location. Its switzerland with the sea! This hotel offers a lot but you don't pay extortionate prices! Other hotels will charge you anything from €500 to €800 a day if you book directly.A package is nearly always better. If you book a classic room here you won't get pure luxury. The bathroom is not really 4 star and is rather small but if you pay more you get a better deal. The staff here are really superb. The head waiter (Rocco) is a totally committed and brilliantly organised member of staff who speaks really good English and German. The reception staff are also very competent (Valeria,Thomas and Jessica). If you book with a German travel company and depending on the time of year you should/might get a beach deal as well.If you are with a coach group in September and you've paid €500 for a week with travel included and half board with trips don't expect the same deal as the guests who visit the hotel in the high season. This hotel is good value for money and is relatively quiet and near the beach. The easy going approach (positive)of this establishment is relaxing and not a great strain on one's budget!

We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The staff were amazing. If you ordered room service they would be with you within minutes. The bedrooms were full of Italian charm with dramatic billowing curtains, a large comfortable bed but no mirror. There was a full sized one in the bathroom. The hotel was perfectly situated right in the centre so it was so easy to cycle into the pedestrianised area. The sun beds around the pool were so comfortable and the pool was perfect to swim in once it had warmed up from the sun around lunchtime. We would love to go back there. A beautiful holiday.

We were looking to spend a few days relaxing at the end of a trip to Italy and chose Forte Dei Marmi as it was close to Lucca/Florence/Montecatini. Hotel Mauritius was perfect. Lovely surroundings with fantastic staff who were happy and eager to help with our frequent requests. Taking the Hotel’s complimentary bicycles on the short trip to town (5 minutes) or the beach (same 5 minutes) is recommended as parking can be a pain. If you want a day at the beach maybe book in advance as the sun beds get pretty booked up at a cost starting at €45 per day-the hotel has an arrangement with an independent beach club. Restaurant was also really good for at least one night. The restaurant staff were lovely too.

We got this address from friends who were very satisfied about all the things they wrote about this charming family Hotel. And indeed after so many years somewhere else in Forte we were more than very glad about this small and private Hotel Kyrton, with its perfect situation with the famous bikes they have everywhere in all Forte Hotels...Easy to go tot the beach of Bagno Graziella which we loved, and the service Romolo gave us could not be better, so friendly and private and to advise for beautiful restaurants in the neighbourhood.I was really astonished about his way of service, rooms were ok with airco needed in July, a beautiful relaxing garden with delicous banks and chairs to read at any moment of the day. They will see us back anyhow!! So Thanks for everything Hans Loonstijn Olanda

This is now our 18th holiday here...and nothing changes. The location is ideal, the staff can’t do enough for you and the food is delicious. There is also a tennis/paddle and fantastic swimming pool club a short walk away, owned by the Raffaeli. Luca has a brilliant set up and it is testimont to the place that many of the staff have been with him for many many years. We have been lucky enough to have family holidays all over Europe and further afield but we keep coming back here for our summer holiday. Molte bene and grazie to Luca and ALL the team! See you next year. ***** Charlie Goldsmith and family.

We have visited this hotel many time over the years and seen changes but it retains the same friendly relaxed service, rooms and have been renovated (air conditioning is excellent). The Dinner service has been replaced with an all day dining offer but this finishes at 20.30, I suppose as most people go into Forte to eat in one of the many restaurants. If you have children this is especially good with a pool and large gardens with child's play area. However it is quiet and relax and the children are well behaved and in no way overrun the place. I note another reviewer's comment about Gennaro the concierge he is great, this year I asked him how long he had worked at Hermitage - 29 years so he knows everything about Forte can book restaurants and give advice like no other. Only a couple of minor complaints there is excellent complimentary soap and shower gel in the bathrooms and complimentary coffee tea making facilities but these were never replenished after use by housekeeping we had to ask for further supplies every couple of days also there were disposable plastic glasses in the room for drinking water from the minibar surely there should be real glasses it is both nicer and should we be throwing away more plastic every day for no reason? The hotel is a the back of the town too far to walk but everyone hires bikes and it is a flat 5 minute cycle ride to the town or beach. One thing to remember is the beach is NOT included in the room rate and it is expensive the beach associated with Hermitage is Augustus (you can have all the charges and meals there included on you hotel bill) the August rate for a place on the beach which would be OK for 2-4 people is €200-300 per day depending on how close to the sea you are so make sure you budget for this before you book.

We love Forte dei Marmi and we try to come every year for some days at the end of the summer. I love hôtels and, despite not staying there, we wanted to try the Byron for a drink. I had been there some years ago...The gardens are immaculate as well as the entrance, the bike park...the lobby has recently been refurbished and it’s bright and modern. Personally I don’t like it at all as it is too goldish and doesn’t reflect the style of the villa and in ten years it will be outdated but that’s a question of tastes. The bar lounges are so charming with their old armchairs...hope they will not change them. We sat on the terrace for an Aperitivo and we were alone: the place only for us. Wow. We were almost ready to leave after finishing the delicious spritz and the Barman arrived with a selection of appetizers directly from their Michelin starred kitchens...what a treat! We felt really special and for sure next year we will go back for dinner!

What an amazing property. Far and away the best hotel and resort in the entire area. The rooms as well as the entire property are modern, airy, clean and substantial. You feel like you are in a private home, with service and staff that are top notch. A 10 minute walk anywhere, the property has its own chic beach club as well as amazing bar and restaurant. Further, the spa is just spectacular, with an underground pool and the best therapists you can imagine. We brought our family and friends this year, and already booked for next. Ugo and Nicolo make it so easy to make a reservation, and its part of FHR and LHW for ease of use. The experience is not inexpensive as we went in prime time summer. However, Forte can be a zoo during mid-summer, and the Principe is an oasis not to be missed.

We loved this property. The rooms, the lobby, the artwork were amazing. The front lobby staff and the service staff were wonderful. The Lido staff excellent. As far as feedback, the food was average at best. The food at the Lido restaurant was mixed. The sushi was excellent, however, the seafood platter was inedible. The breakfast was good.

Positive: The Hotel is overall nice and clean with a very friendly stuff and conscious about Covid-19 measures. Negative: The room was small, very noisy (you can hear very clearly noise from other rooms), the forniture was really outdated. The hairdryer was super old and it takes ages to dry your hair. The breakfast was extremely poor, absolutely no choice if you want to eat a bit healthy (but also if you don’t). Absolutely the price of the room is too expensive (170€ /night), of course you’re in Forte dei Marmi during the weekend and rooms are all expensive but it’s sad to see how poor is the care for little details that could be improved with a little bit of effort. I hope that they’ll consider to invest in better rooms and breakfast because as I said the hotel (common spaces and outdoor) is nice and the position is really good.

What a lovely hotel! It’s very convenient for both the town and the beach and the staff make you welcome from the moment you arrive. The air conditioning ensures that you have a comfortable nights sleep as do the firm beds. The chamber maids also did a wonderful job ensuring towels were always changed. This is the best hotel we have stayed in in Forte dei Marmi

We stayed for 10 days early in September on a bed and breakfast basis and enjoyed a very interesting and relaxing holiday. The hotel was built in 1963 and now stands in sizeable well kept grounds with mature pine trees offering shade. There is a very well equipped children's play area. An outdoor pool with sun loungers and changing facility is kept spotlessly clean. We stayed in a 3rd floor room with a wonderful terrace providing panoramic views towards the Alpine range of mountains. The room was clean and well maintained and the washroom with shower was to a good size and well equipped. It took us a week to find the only English speaking TV programme - CNN News! The breakfasts were always well presented in buffet style with a very good selection to choose from. Surprisingly the restaurant opens at 20.00hrs which was too late for us, so we mostly ate at a pizza bar just 50m up the road that opened at 17.30. Without exception the staff were extremely helpful and polite. Special mention goes to Abramo who ferried us to the railway station and collected us as we visited Florence, Lucca and Pisa on separate days by train. He sorted us out with train tickets from the non-English speaking lady lurking in a small room off the platform! The railway station is about 3 miles from the hotel and the local taxis service is not particularly reliable. The hotel offers a service to and from the station that is definitely advised and recommended. We once walked into Forte dei Marmi centre, but it took us 35 minutes and did not return as we were unimpressed. There are good beaches about 10 minutes away on foot and reception can advise on preferences. There are also many interesting shops and restaurants in about the same proximity. We think hiring a car is almost an essential if you want to explore. If you just want the beach or the pool Le Pleiadi takes some beating.

Having spent 3 mad days sightseeing in Rome in 30+ heat our family of four travelled to The Logos Hotel and had the most wonderful relaxing 7 days. The hotel itself had a lovely view of the mountains and a short stroll to the beach and beach clubs. It was clean and tidy and the maids cleaned and changed the towels twice daily. The food was varied and although the menu was set the chef was very accommodating and even made us burgers one evening and breakfasts were plentiful. The outside pool area was tranquil and a god send in the heat for a welcoming dip and the seating areas with the home grown lemon trees (which produced the best lemoncello) were a pleasure to sit in either with a drink or evening meal or breakfast. The hotel was peaceful and either a great base to explore the region from or to chill as we did. I have to say the staff were the best we have ever encountered nothing was too much trouble from the receptionists, waiting staff, maids and maintenance guys all their duties done with a smile. A special mention has to go to Eliza who was a breath of fresh air – friendly efficient and went above and beyond the call of duty at all times. She quite simply was lovely and made our stay even more pleasurable. We love Italy and would definitely visit this hotel again. Thank you.

I stayed here with my mum and it was a great experience. The breakfast (and food in general) was the main highlight in my personal opinion as it was fresh, delicious ingredients cooked and prepared to perfection! The rooms were very clean and tidy. We had a balcony looking over the ocean which was delightful. The staff were so positive and happy to help with any type of query. Unfortunately it was raining when we visited so did not see the pool In action but it looked a good size. I would recommend this boutique hotel and would happily stay again.

This was our first trip to Forte dei Marmi and we chose A Due Passi based on reviews. We were not disappointed. It is a quaint, clean, establishment with comfortable rooms. Our room had a small kitchenette that is available for use for an additional fee, and a washing machine. The room was cleaned daily. The shower was small (the only drawback if you are a larger individual) but the water pressure was fantastic. Elisabetta and her parents, our hosts, were welcoming, kind, and accommodating. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with italian meats, pancakes, home-baked pastries, assorted juices, and fruit. Elisabetta made our lattes to order. Forte dei Marmi is a walkable town, and A Due Passi is a very short walk to the beach. Bikes are also available to rent for a small fee on a daily basis. There were several families there with us at the inn, which clearly was welcoming to children as well as couples like ourselves. There was also ample street parking. If I return to Forte Dei Marmi, I won't hesitate to return to A Due Passi.

Had a wonderful stay at this great little hotel. I knew Forte dei Marmi was going to be a very smart and expensive resort so was keen to offset some of this with a more reasonably priced hotel. Lucca and his team at the Pigalle were all fabulous and provided a great service during our stay. I spoke with them prior to the holiday, both over the telephone and by email to secure the type of room I wanted for our family of 3 - the communication was good and reassuring. The room was lovely, refurbed, super clean and bright with a small balcony over the front of the hotel on the 3rd floor just as I had requested. The breakfast was simple but ok and the breakfast team were efficient in preparing fresh coffee on request. The grounds whilst small, are beautifully maintained and lovely to sit in and enjoy breakfast. The town was a mere 5-8 min walk - 2 min bicycle ride. The hotel has agreed preferential rates of €35 per day at bagni Carduccio on the beach - the lady at Carduccio was also very lovely, friendly and helpful (we had been expecting rates of €50 per day). Thanks Pigalle Hotel for a great holiday base - we managed to explore the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Marina di Massa, Pietrasanta and Viareggio using the bus and train services with no problems.
