Hotels Near Maje In Florence
0.02km from majeYou really can’t get more central than this B&B. Situated on the piazza della Repubblica you are in easy walking to all main attractions. We stayed in room 3 overlooking the square, very clean, spacious and large bed. Great for a few nights. Easy checkin and the receptionist was on hand to answer and questions and provide recommendations. The parking was easy at the nearby recommended garage where they drive you and your car to the B&B before taking your car away. Obviously there was noise on a night time due to the bars and restaurants in the square so if you think this will be an issue then ask for a room away from the square! This didn’t really bother us. All in all a wonderful stay in a recommended B&B.
0.02km from majeWe recently stayed at the Hotel Olimpia for three nights this past July. The hotel itself was small, yet had everything that we needed. The air conditioning worked well, which was wonderful as it was very hot in the city at that time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The best part of this hotel was the location. It was right in the centre of Florence, only minutes from the Duomo and from the main river. The Piazza was full of life at night, with great cafes, music, and entertainment steps from the hotel. At night, you could sit in the little dining room and listen to the bustle of the city from the open windows. Breakfast was also included with this hotel. Although there was not a lot of variety, there were breads, cheeses, assorted meats, etc. There was definitely enough to find for everyone, and was a nice way to start the day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed this hotel in the heart of the city!
0.02km from majeAtico Central Suites was a fantastic choice for us. So central, friendly, helpful staff and a clean, spacious and modern room. We ate breakfast out each day. Everywhere here was walking distance including the train. Highly recommended! Tricky to find however with small sign at door next to Hard Rock Cafe and reception and suites on 4th floor with lift.
0.02km from majeThe check in for this hotel is at de lanzi which was easy enough to find - communicated to us before via email giving directions. The check in process was easy and we were then accompanied by a member of staff to the apartments and shown how everything works. The apartment was large and had a kitchenette which we used one night to make dinner, equipped with a hob, sink, fridge and all the pots/pans/plates you would need. There was a kettle to make drinks and mugs, however no milk or sugar - we only stayed two nights and had to but a full carton of milk and a full bag of sugar, most of which went to waste, it would be nice if some basic things such as sugar sachets, salt, pepper etc were provided to prevent each person who uses the kitchen having to throw the remainder away. The beds were so-so, not the comfiest but definitely not the worst. Check out was easy as well - we phones the de lanzi hotel from the apartment and then were told just to leave the key on the table. The Wi-fi speed was great, able to stay connected on multiple devices and stream netflix etc on it. If I were to ever visit Florence again (which is unlikley...) I would stay here.
0.03km from majeI booked your hotel from booking last year and have already stayed during my trip in a tour of Florence from June 14th to June 16th, but booking does not have your mailbox, so I want to send you a separate letter. I found a lot of websites but all email address I found doesn't seem to work, maybe write in here is the only way to contect you, here is the content of the letter: I am your Chinese friend. I went to Italy last year and stayed in your hotel room. I will always remember the super good location provided by your room. You can quickly reach every place in the city. My wife and I were treated like friends. This year, China was the first to suffer a severe epidemic, especially ***** City, Hubei Province. It is difficult to imagine how severe the locals have been. The outbreak in China has not been effectively contained until recently, but unfortunately the outbreak has spread globally. Now, I see a lot of reports that the new coronavirus has spread widely in Europe. I know how hard the epidemic will cause to your country and people, and I feel very frustrated and sad. The original God blessed your country to get rid of this epidemic faster. The purpose of writing this letter is to even give you a little more strength and courage to fight this sudden epidemic. In my opinion, during the outbreak of propaganda in China, there are some effective measures to effectively isolate the spread and harm of the virus. For example, the following simple but very effective methods: Wash your hands frequently, wear a mask when going out, be careful not to gather, and maintain effective safety with others Distance, etc. I wish you a pleasant stay in your country at an early date. Sincerely hope that you, your family and friends will stay healthy. The beauty of Italy is unparalleled, and I will definitely go to Italy for a holiday in the future. The epidemic will eventually pass, and all beautiful things will be doubled back. Hopefully by mid-summer, Florence will become even more beautiful. I hope that the distant blessing can make you a little happier and warmer! You are also welcome to travel to China in the future. Like Italy, China also has a long history and rich tourism resources. I hope that you will be treated kindly wherever you go! The entire world will not be isolated from each other because of the epidemic, but will be more closely linked because of the epidemic. Let us fight together, my friends far away! You most sincerely Zhai Fei
0.06km from majeUpon arrival we found closed door/no Reception, but there was a phone number to call. We called, and 5 minutes later we had our key - the Reception and the free breakfast is in another hotel around the corner. We actually were checked in 3 hours ahead of check-in time. This might be a disappointment for some, but for the money we thought this was a great value because the room & bathroom were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and we had a beautiful balcony over one of the main streets connecting Piazza Vecchio with Piazza Duomo. It was Sunday, and things were happening under our balcony - strolling tourists, horse and carriage rides, street musicians, shopping. This is probably not a good hotel room for someone who's looking for piece and quiet, but it was perfect for us (you can grab a gelato on the plaza and enjoy it on the balcony). The breakfast was ok, no complains. The check-out for quick, Front Desk was polite and offered to call a cab to take us to airport.

0.09km from majethis is our first time staying at palazzo vecchietti. it is a small (14 rooms) very hands on...very personal...experience....the concierges (they are actually more than that but i dont know the word) are attentive from the moment we arrived for the entire stay. paolo, leonardo, and Luca came to know somehow what we liked, wanted to do, when and how. the room was quite good...although we weren't there very much. breakfast was great...but the highlight was how the employees guided our visit....they knew restaurants, stores, churches, etc......palazzo vechietti became home almost immediately...the location was amazing...we could do thongs and stop back for whatever reason we will return to florence shortly, and this is now our home in florence.
0.09km from majeWe stayed in domux home last year and we were so satisfied that we decided to come back for another weekend. I had the contact details of Giuseppe from our last visit and as soon as I emailed him he remembered us and offered one of their amazing apartments. We arrived at the train station and made our way to the Republica building, from there we were then escorted to the Medicea apartment: it was simply incredible. The flat is a beautiful openspace overlooking the city, my partner and I could not believe how quiet it was despite the super busy time and considering it is smack bang in the city centre! When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised as we found a hand written welcome back note along with a couple of chocolates, such a lovely little touch that made us feel very special. We were lucky enough to find sunny weather so we took advantage of the terrace to have our breakfast and enjoy the gorgeous view, it felt like being in a movie! We rarely leave reviews but the Domux Home team proves just how above and beyond they are willing to go for their guests so we just have to give special thanks. Ps: for anyone looking to visit Florence, the first Sunday of every month offers free entrance to all the museums. It will be very busy but it’s worth it! Grazie guys! We will definitely be back soon for our third stay.
0.1km from majeWe’ve just returned from a three night visit. We first stayed here in 2010 and it was lovely to return. We even had the same room with a wonderful view of the duomo which was fantastic! The room was spacious, with beautiful furniture and it was spotlessly clean. The air conditioned and window shutters meant it was lovely and cool inside the room. Stefano was very helpful and runs a lovely establishment. He gave us restaurant recommendations, taxi numbers and emailed local hairdressers in advance of our visit as we had to attend a wedding. The little kitchen has cool water available, a fridge and a coffee machine -60 cent for a coffee. The location is just super-only minutes from the main sights yet our room was wonderfully quiet. We would definitely stay here again when in Florence and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Very Good1 Reviews
0.1km from majeThe best thing about this hotel is it’s perfect location. It is a few minutes away from the Duomo on one side and a couple of minutes to Uffizi museum on the other. They have a very small lobby and have only one small lift. The reception staff are very friendly and our check in was pretty smooth. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the street. They still use physical keys to open the door which was a bit of a bother when we were getting stuff in. The room was slightly on the smaller side but the ceiling was very high, giving a sense of space. There was not enough room to walk and even walking past the chair to go the window side of the bed was a tight squeeze. The bathroom was clean but small. The shower area was particularly small and there was very little room to manoeuvre in the bathroom. They provided all expected toiletries and amenities. The towels were not of high-quality and the fluff would stick to our face and body. We got a couple of torn towels too. The breakfast was included in the price and was served on the first floor. The fresh breakfast was served in the adjoining room and only one person/couple was allowed at one time. It was a very ordinary spread. Tea and coffee was available in the main breakfasting area. The quality of breakfast was not good at all and was repealed every day. The jam croissants were finished when we went at 9.30 one day. As only cooked eggs and bacons were served, there was no hot breakfast for vegetarians. This hotel felt more like a 3* hotel in a fabulous location. We were there for 3 nights and liked it just for its location.
0.1km from majeFrom the family of Rocco Forte, this is a new and renovated hotel located in the heart of the city. They did it again, very luxurious and classy without loosing his personal feeling. Located on Piazza della Repubblica so you can walk and enjoy to all the important places around. No more than 5 minutes to the Duomo, Palazzo Pitti, ponte vecchio, etc. We are enjoying a very beautiful suite in the fifth floor so we can view the Duomo from our bed and feel the sounds of the bells like we where there. Our room is very big and spacious, we have a living room separate from the bedroom in case we have to concentrate and work, the bathroom is also separate and very functional, of course our bed is huge and soft with sheets that are so smooth we sleep very comfortable. So far the staff has been magnificent and very kind. Francesco at the front desk and Claudia the PR show us the hotel, answered all our questions, and help us in everything we need. Overall everything is great, I highly recommend The Savoy to stay. The only thing I would take care of, is the free internet witch is a bit slow all the rest is just amazing. Thankful for the grate service
Hotels Near Maje In Florence Review
Florence Historic Center
Stayed here in Oct 2017. Travel Agent booked after highly recommending to us.I sure didn’t like it. As hotels don’t have AC, we had the windows open. Temp was comfortable, but windows opened in, making a cramped space tinier. Bumped/ my head several times on open window at night. Shower was mediocre. When I needed more wire hangers on check in night...night manager took me up four flights...but no hangers in storage room. Location was ok, but not great. At night, we were treated to a street show...from Italian couples who were arguing and fighting in street. Buffet breakfast was highlight of stay. I’ll pass on this hotel if I ever return to Florence.
Isolotto - Legnaia
I stayed in this hotel with my friend for two nights, in a twin room with breakfast included. The first point in favor is definitely on the position. It is located a few steps (5 mins walk) from the tram station which takes you to the heart of Florence in 20 minutes. The staff is very kind and very attentive to the customer's needs. Especially in this delicate moment due to the pandemic, the staff observed all the anticovid rules by wearing a mask and serving breakfast at the tables. Another plus is the cleanliness of the structure and rooms. My room had all the comforts, very clean and above all everything in perfect condition. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

We stayed in Florence for three nights and chose this hotel on the back of Trip Advisor comments. We were not disappointed. The hotel is based in an excellent location about 10-15 mins walk from the centre of Florence but also in a quiet and peaceful road. We had one of the three rooms which had a balcony overlooking the hotel. Our room was superbly decorated with all facilities. There was also a nice introductory offer of a meal with complimentary bottle of wine for 39euro per night which was excellent value and a high quality. Breakfast was also excellent. The Staff were very courteous and professional without being over the top. This is little gem of a hotel and very well lit at night which maximises its attractiveness. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Florence and represents excellent value. My only minor quibble is the old 1970's type carpet in the corridors - I think its time for them to be replaced! I saw no other hotels in Florence which I passed which would make me change my mind and would happily stay here again.

Plaza Lucchesi Hotel truly is a 4.5 star hotel. It is located in a great location within walking distance (10-15 minutes) to the city center, facing the river Arno. It’s a beautiful hotel close to everything, yet not in a crowded part of the city but “surrounded” by plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. I stayed at room 208 which is a spacious, comfortable superior double room with a big window directly facing the Arno with magnificent river views. Bathroom was also spacious but it had a not so comfortable tab. I would prefer a shower instead. The only problem was my internet connection which was frequently interrupted and my mobile signal which was no good. I also took a look at single rooms, since some friends stayed there, and they were nice, clean and beautiful. The best part of this Hotel is the absolutely beautiful view from the rooftop pool bar, overlooking Florence, especially on sunset. If you go there, up the 5th floor, you can see the entire uninterrupted panorama of Florence. The Staff was really friendly, professional, helpful and welcoming and they all spoke good English. We felt welcomed right away. From the reception desk, to the cleaning ladies and the personnel at breakfast, they are all so kind and attentive that made us feel at home. Breakfast was excellent with lots of options, a good selection of everything and something different each day so you wouldn’t get tired of the same food. I loved the croissants although I admit I expected fresh made pancakes and omelets! The concierge was very helpful and corresponded to our needs. Generally we had a wonderful customer experience and we would definitely stay there again.

Carefully write a review of the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence, three nights in Florence, 2 nights PORTRAIT, 1 night to experience the seasons, give the following suggestions: 1) Service: Say service first, personal feeling, PORTRAIT service is more cordial and enthusiastic. There is WELCOME DRINK at the door, with beer and red wine and other drinks. There is a doorman from Russia who is very enthusiastic and can really describe himself as a guest. If you leave, you will also ask if you want to bring bottled water. Four seasons, no one can say bad, but it is very standard and professional, but there is no temperature. PORTRAIT won. 2) Location: The four seasons are far from the attractions, but not far away. The distance cannot be said to be a weak item. The hotel has a garden, but it is not very big, but it is okay (refer to the size of Shanghai Garden Hotel). Moreover, mainly, the garden layout is not very special. PORTRAIT is on the edge of the old bridge, the most central location, everything is convenient. PORTRAIT won. 3) Price: Four seasons more than 7900 35M2, no early; PORTRAIT 4500 one night / 4900 one night, 40M2, but the hotel gave me a rise, lived 53 room type, including 2 early. PORTRAIT won again. 4) Room decoration: the room, the four seasons are European style, or the law-abiding; PORTRAIT is more modern, also comes with a simple kitchen cabinet, you can eat yourself. Personally, the style is like PORTRAIT. 2 bedding products are good. 5) Four seasons, because the price is much more expensive, my heart naturally demands him. Service I scored 4 points because it was not special and the price was not good. The Michelin-starred PALAGIO restaurant has also tried, and can only say that it is okay, not surprising, and quite satisfactory. 6) Four seasons should be expensive in many additions? For example, I saw that there is still a hairdressing. It is estimated that the SPA is also very good, but it is not used. In addition, there are swimming pools in the four seasons, but it is not big or open. PORTRAIT does not have a swimming pool. The above hopes have a reference to later people.

We were really looking forward to our stay in the Palazzo Castri, but ended up being very disappointed. We had a Junior Suite and it was rather small. The bathroom was right next to the sleeping area and had glass on the doors, Thus, if someone got up to use the bathroom at night and turned on the lights, it would wake up the other person. In addition, the noise coming from the heating/air system was very loud. Even with ear plugs we could hear it (my wife's parents had room next to us for 1 night and it kept them up all night). We could also hear noise from rooms all around us. They did move us our room after the first night and it got a little better. We called to order extra pillows and had to call 3x (each time). The breakfast was ok. The breads were rather stale. The evening tea was also disappointing. They would run out of desserts and it would take a while to restock the trays. On the positive side, the hotel garden is beautiful. After our room was moved we had a beautiful view of the Duomo. The manager went out of her way to help us and she was very nice. The problems with the rooms etc are out of her control. The hotel is just not built very well. The location of the hotel is a short walk from the train station and very central to everything in Florence. Overall, very disappointed in our experience. Probably would look for another hotel in Florence.
