The hotel is located in a very quiet area. It's an early 20th century building and the area has many similar buildings, mostly apartment blocks. The rooms are decent, all necessary amenities in place. The breakfast is not overwhelming but enough if you just need a quick something. It's a bit away from the main attractions of the city but the distances are not that big in Kaliningrad. The staff at reception are polite and welcoming. Really clean and quiet, although doesn't have the social vibe. No one from the staff speaks English, so if you don't know any Russian it might be tricky. Highly recommended hotel! Super location 15 minutes walking to city center and North Railway station and just next door to the Zoo - for nature lovers! Friendly staff! Cleaning on the highest level! WiFi - super! Style of the rooms and hotel in general- wow! But the most important thing, what really shocked me it is breakfast!! The choice is amazing and taste is truly remarkable- thanks to the Chef! If you will visit Kalinigrad, do not forget to take a short train ride from the North railway station to Svetlogorsk - to enjoy lovely breeze from Baltic sea! Highly recommended!SOLD OUT

The hotel is located rather outside the center (still well accessible both by car and public transport). On the outside it looks rather like a youth hostel in an apartment block, but inside it is a regular hotel. Simple, yes, but clean, with spacious rooms (I booked a standard room but it seems), clean and comfortable (the bed was rather soft). Service was good, no problems with late night check-in. Parking available on the side of the hotel. It seems that the establishment caters to groups of students, sport teams, etc., but at no time there was any nuisance, noise or inconvenience. The hotel, while simple, still gets an excellent notice, especially that the price was very convenient, in particular in exchange for what it offers for such a v e r y reasonable amount of money. The hotel offers breakfast for an additional small charge, but we had no occasion to try it.FromUS$21.00

Situated opposite Kaliningrad Zoo, this imposing hotel front with 1 small front door to enter, opens up to an impressive reception and lounge with its own security on duty too. Easy check-in even with the limited English language. This wasn't original built as a hotel but you can tell the building holds much history having been built by Germans in the 1930s. The 1980 & 90s throwbacks start in the reception with the receptionist photocopying all my documents using a very dated photocopier which takes an eternity to warm up. It is experience just watching how much technology has moved on in most parts of Europe. Onto the rooms, where single rooms are available at a cheaper price (and so they should be!) where the decor remains outdated. However, the rooms are spotlessly clean and I found the decor of the rooms to be quite charming. I would definitely stay again if I was to return to the get city of Kaliningrad.FromUS$32.00

There is much to like about this hotel. It is a new building, but has a little old world charm about it. Our bedroom overlooked the Zoo next door and so in addition to the odd sighting of a camel, the air was occasionally blessed with all manner of animal sounds. It felt at times like a safari, but was not in the least intrusive. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and well appointed. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the garden was a tranquil escape to sit in a choice of gazebos. We found it quite romantic. It's about a 10-15 minute walk into the centre, but there are a few decent cafe's/restaurants nearby. There are a couple of reasons I can't give it a 5/5, the first being the absence of a lift. It didn't bother us even though we were on the 3rd floor. Also the mosquitoes at night were a minor irritation, but shutting the windows before sundown proved the answer. (There was an airconditioner in our room). All in all a very enjoyable stay.FromUS$33.00

Full ratings to this hostel. We stayed as a group of 8 across various rooms and found it clean, friendly, and fabulously decorated. The male on reception was helpful, answered all our questions and spoke good English. Soft drinks and nibbles on sale in the hostel (cans and chocolates) for reasonable prices alternatively there is a SPAR 5 minute walk away. If you are after eating out, they provide a discount card (15% if i remember correctly) to various cafes around the town. We ate at one and it was great. Only down side was that it was rather hot in the room and there was no air conditioning. It was however 32 degrees outside so it can be expected! Location is a short walk away form the centre of town. We took a taxi from the Southern Railway Station for 130 rb, otherwise its a 28 minute walk. Shower pressure great, plenty of plug sockets and wifi throughout. Do not take on board any of the negatives reviews. This place is superb.SOLD OUT

A bit noisy if you open the window, but it’s a city center. Ventilation is good so you can sleep with windows closed. Breakfast is organized in a cafe which is part of the trade center next door but hotel guests can go there via internal connecting corridor. No need to go outside. Overall is very good. FromUS$59.00

This hotel was rumored to be once a block of apartments. Which explains the incredible amount of space you get. I was in a light-filled suite that probably measured 1,000 square feet (approx 100 sq meters). The main living area was huge and had a sofa seating area plus a dining area and an open kitchen. There were two bedrooms, each with its own walk-through closet to an en-suite bathroom. One bathroom had a shower only and the other had a bathtub and self-standing shower. The bath/shower amenities were all from Elemis. There are comfortable bathrobes and slippers. The mattresses are firm and the room temperature was perfect considering how chilly it was outdoors. There was a huge terrace that spanned the width of the room, overlooking a canal. The furnishings are all simple and very Scandinavian. Hopefully, the paint holds up as it looked super brand-new. The hotel service is very nice. We did not try the spa at all although people mentioned it. The one main drawback is the sole elevator and no stairs. The elevator is incredibly slow, and there were (I think) six floors. No stairs available to use.

Well maintained property, clean rooms, comfortable beds and profession, friendly and polite staff. I was very pleased with all aspects of my stay here. The staff was super friendly checking in as well as each time I approached them with questions. The room was in excellent condition and I had a very nice view from the room. The hotel directly attaching to a nicer shopping mall so if you want to shop that is easy enough to do. There are some so sites to see close to the hotel which is nice as well. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Kaliningrad.

Nice hotel to relax, to sleep and to eat well. Outdoor swimmingpool. Helpful and efficient staff. Restaurant in the main lodge building or - weather permitting - outside on the veranda. Ideally located for excursions to Curonian Spit.

We stayed there two nights during fifa world championship. First at all, hotel is old and interior as well. So people cannot except Hilton standards there. The hotel staff was amazing, they did everything to make our stay more comfortable. First reception, and then girls from the restaurant, Olga and Sveta. Room was very clean and everything else was good in the room. Privet to all of them from Serbian guys.
