Hotels Near Maki In Kazan
0.04km from MakiI was in Kazan at the beginning of April with business visit to the Kazan Federal University. It was my first trip to this city. My colleague advised me to stay in Hayal. And I'm can say that it was a great advise. The hotel has an excellent location, in 5 minutes from the central pedestrian street of Bauman and the university. And very nice Hinkalnaya is just the next door ;) It is a modern 4* hotel with a very good trained stuff (Gulia, Polina and Nadya, thank you!). The stuff is really very friendly and kind. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi, free bottle of water in every room, good breakfasts and pool, gym and sauna. Actually I tried all these offers and felt very satisfied. The breakfasts were good enough, but without something special - just usual 4* breakfast in a big place with a bar at the center. When I already checked out I asked Nadya (she is the manager at restaurant) to spend 2-3 hours with my laptop near AC plug. And this was accepted absolutely. The minibar was ok but it was strange a bit to find condoms pack near RitterSport chocolates and drinks :) The safe, robe, slippers etc are in the room as well. The bathroom was new, clean and equipped, even with nice harmless spider, which I did not kill, and left hanging from the towel (photo) :)) According my opinion price was absolutely reasonable for such level of service and care. I recommend it and will stay in Hayal next time.

0.56km from MakiI live in a quadruple room, a bit like a domestic student dormitory. I have never lived in other youth travels before, so I don’t know how this trip is. Personal feeling is average, but wins at a cheap price and good location. There is a curtain in the bottom of the room, and there is no upper bunk. The younger sister of the counter is really good, Russian and English can communicate. Breakfast was not eaten there, it was not clear. It is not suitable for children who do not know, but who have children to live in. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the Confucius Institute. No parking, no lift. There is a bar downstairs in the Youth Hostel and a dress rental shop upstairs.
0.57km from MakiClean rooms, very friendly personal, quality/money balance, location is good (all essential sightseeing locations are nearby), reasonable price, high ceilings! Stayed in room for 4 people. Very thankful for time spent in hotel:)
Hotels Near Maki In Kazan Review
My kid and I had the loveliest stay in Kaganat. It is super clean, quiet and right in the heart of the city. It is the place to move from to do your shopping and get to the nearby restaurants. The staff are so friendly and responsive. We enjoyed the wonderful view to Baumana Street which is full of activities and life. I highly recommend Kaganat 👌

We stayed in this hotel during the World Cup 2018. It was a good option in Kazan with 10 min walk to the city center (Bauman Street) and 5 min walk to the bus stop to the stadium. It's in a quiet street and we had views to the street. Rooms are good size and very clean with air condition and TV. Bathroom is good size and clean. The hotel feels pretty new/renovated. The reception was great and friendly. Only things for improvement: The breakfast was very simple (one plate with cheese and sausage, oatmeal and coffee, and some bread) and could be improved a lot!, i.e. offer more food options especially fruits, veggies or an a la carte menu. Also the hotel doesn't have elevator which may be a problem with luggage.
Clean rooms, very friendly personal, quality/money balance, location is good (all essential sightseeing locations are nearby), reasonable price, high ceilings! Stayed in room for 4 people. Very thankful for time spent in hotel:)
Looking at the World Cup, I think this hotel is especially good! Although three-star, the facilities are very new, the style is retro, and the bathroom shower is very large. And it is especially intimate to make rice for Chinese tourists. There is a great bbq and snack bar at the door, and the supermarket is a 2 minute walk. Go to the city center and the Kremlin for 75 minutes on the 75 and 54 roads. highly recommended!
Advantages: - great view from the room (18th floor) - varied breakfast (served on the ground floor) - you can visit the breakfast a-la carte on the 25th floor (did not specify for a fee or is included in the price) - the hotel has a shopping center with a cafe, manazinami and a cinema Disadvantages: - cosmetics in the room are scarce - the pool is paid (250₽) and small (12 meters)
I would give 5+ rank to this hotel. There is one "but" still (see below) + Very cozy atmosphere + Nice and polite staff + Everything clean and accurate + Quite place almost in the center (in 5 mins from Kremlin and Baumana street) + Very good price/ service level & quality ratio + 2 parking spaces next to hotel Now what about "but"... I have two remarks only 1. food in Serbia restaurant is mostly serbian which is obvious but it would be great to add several different and simple meals from other cousines (eg pasta, pizza, kebab may be and etc) 2. a stiffness of pillows. There is only one kind of pillows in a room. The pillows are not too big or really tough but if you used to sleep in Sheraton or even Holyday inn you have 2 types and you can choose. So if you like a soft ones then you should ask about it in your order or on reception Bear in mind that aftet 22pm a maid does not work and its better to ask what you need before that time. If you ask me will I stay there again I say YES.
I’d like to express my gratitude to the hotel “Ilmar City Hotel” and its stuff for the excellent service, comfortable room and very helpful receptionists! It’s a really good-quality hotel to stay in. Room was absolutely similar to the one in the photo. We got all necessities: towels, slippers, bathroom sets, tea&coffee, etc. It wasn’t noisy on the hotel, cleaning stuff works well: towels were changed every day, the room also was cleaned every day. The room was rather warm, the TV, air conditioner, WiFi, minibar-fridge worked well. Receptionists are very nice and help in any situation: I needed some documents to be printed, so it was done immediately; moreover, we were let to keep our luggage at the hotel after checkout until departure time. The hotel is not in the center of the city, but there is a subway station nearby and it’s really easy and fast to get to the center (it takes about 7-8 min to get to the center from subway station „Gorki“). And the most convenient way to get around the city is taxi. Taxi here is not expensive and sometimes cheaper than public transport. So, many thanks to Ilmar City Hotel!
I really liked the location. This is a no-nonsense, effective hostel, everything you need (and a bit more: iron + ironing board) and no fluff. I appreciated that I could leave my stuff there for the day
Me and my travel mate (both foreigner and non-Russian speakers) stayed for two nights in January in an en-suite twin room. All was clean and well prepared. Room was quite smal but very unique. The breakfast was great (porridge, fresh fruits and vegies, bred and cereals) and de staff was very helpful and kind, even if she couldnt speak much English.

It feels like a family hotel, the room is small, but it is clean. The breakfast is relatively simple. It is commendable that the lady at the front desk, despite the difficulty in language communication, is not afraid of trouble, the service attitude is very warm, the surrounding is not lively, it is close to the airport, in the morning to catch the plane.
Very good hotel, all facilities are available, the price is reasonable, but the location is relatively biased, Ctrip gives the location distance is not accurate
Personally think that royal is still better next door. Although the royal is five stars and more expensive than the tower. The floor is not tall. The tower is very comfortable to see and the whole is old compared with the tower.

Great Hotel in a good location. The Kremlin and Baumana street are in walking distance. Public transportation is really close and even a taxi from the airport is reasonable (book through Uber or Gett not the airport taxi stand). The train station is 5 minutes by taxi. The room is comfortable, nice private bathroom. A single room means one bed that is between a double and a queen sized bed. Double means two beds. Breakfast is nice but make sure you get what you order. The eggs and pancakes are great or the Omlette with the crepes like pancakes is also very tasty. The staff tries there best to communicate and they are extremely helpful. I can really recommend this Hotel
I was vising Kazan for the World Cup and had a rather complicated time to find something affordable. I booked this via Booking.com. My biggest concern was the lack of information on how to find this since it is in a rather discreet location. Thus, don't give up on this place until after you read my tips and tricks and other important information. 1. Other reviews are correct, they front desk Lady and Man do not speak english. However, if you have phone with a translator, the Lady is very receptive to this communication. She was really nice as I used this method for getting her help to pre-book an early morning taxi to the airport. 2. The taxi from the airport was only 520 rubles and the taxi driver found this with no problem even though he had to navigate some out of the way streets to get there. You can take a train to the central station and walk from there - but the path is a bit rugged for a bag of any size that requires lugging. More info on the walk from the train station shortly. 3. The entrance is opposite where the main tracks are - it is simply a door with an awning but has the address and name. You enter the door and have to go up 2 flights of stairs - nothing inside the outside door is marked but trust me, this is what you need to do - at the top there is a door that is open 24/7. Here you will find the lobby. 4. From the train station, you go south - or towards an old walkway that goes above the tracks. Just before this overwalk area, you will see a path across the tracks - be careful even if there is not heavy traffic. You will then go past the first building on the left and turn left... you should be walking right before a set of stairs up to the overwalk. Now continue down this 'road' past a gate, past a building on your right, past a parking lot and past another building. The road is a bit rough but this saves you loads of time over the long way by car. Once you reach the end of this road and it begins veering right, keep going. Before you reach the old tracks in the road, go right and you should see the entrance. I am including some photos of the route. 5. If you come from the city, there is a 24/7 entrance to the train station. You have to go through security every time but its not a big deal. When you go from the hotel to the train station, once you cross the tracks, go past the main building and depending on the time of day, you will have a few ways to exit to the city. 6. The hotel itself is spacious rooms - nothing fancy in the way of mattress, furniture etc but you aren't paying for the Ritz Carlton. The Shared Bathroom is 3 sinks in an open area with two private toilet rooms. The showers are next to this area - 2 individual shower rooms (with locks). They have a breakfast room as well. All in all for the price, I really liked this place. The unique location in the midst of nothing was strange at first but then I kind of liked the adventure. If you are open minded
The staff was very kind, they helped me with the early checking, room and beds were clean and tidy, I highly recommend this hostel for travellers in Kazan, also it si so well located. It is in the city center near the main touristic points
Great location just near the main Kazan rail station. It was -12 outside and we were greeted with a cup of warm spiced tea while we checked in. We had an early arrival and were able to get our rooms right away. Reception staff were very friendly and provided good local information. The room was large and comfortable. We left very early so could not have breakfast. The area is quite and there are not many dining options. For train travellers, there is a big supermarket right across the street.
The hotel is centrally located. You can walk or take a short taxi to the center of town. Area seems safe to walk freely during daylight hours. The rooms are big with large windows that open up. Good air conditioning. The facilities are clean. There is a big bottle of mineral water in almost all of the floors. Talking about floors, there is no elevator. Breakfast is not very good. Instant coffee available instead of freshly brewed coffee. Language barrier since most of the people at the help desk didn’t speak English. (Used google translate, hand gesture, etc). The hotel was so busy that beds were not made on a daily basis or towels changed. Would have to walk down to request fresh towels. If you say the Basilica hotel it is easier for Uber to locate hotel.
My family and I only needed to spend one night in Kazan, so we were looking for a cheap option, and Hotel Dubrava fit the bill! We were brought a nice little breakfast the next morning as well, which was delicious. The place definitely has its charm. One downside is that you'll need to have transportation arranged, since it's not very close to the historic part of town. However, get a cab and all is fine.
This hotel, had pictures of tennis players in the walls, and a very friendly staff, even though when we got there, they not able to spoke in English, but they were so helpful. Located not in the downtown, nor near metro station, we had to take Uber any time we want to visit tourist spot.
Kazan City, Russia, a bit far from the center, the room can also
During the World Cup, I came to Kazan for a trip. I feel that the location of the hotel is a little far from the city center. The front desk can't communicate in English. I need translation software help. I suggest that you print a confirmation before you check in. The breakfast is very general. It is recommended to go to the city center for breakfast. The restaurant, about 20 minutes walk to the city center, is not recommended to take a taxi (if you know Russian, you can bargain), the black car here will still kill customers. (I lost 300 rubles, a total of less than two kilometers). The hotel's facilities are perfect, standard single beds (double rooms), private bathrooms, and air-conditioning.
How to say it, in fact, according to this price, it is already very good! ! Can't compare with expensive hotels! ! Okay
It’s location at the center though, but the service line is so-so.
This hotel is very close to the bus stop (parishkoy kommuny st) which is only 1km from the Kazan railway station. Bauman street is also within walking distance (1.5km) and if you can walk down it, you can reach the kazan Kremlin which is a must see. We did it on foot, all the way from the hotel and back. The hotel itself is a bit tedious with reception on the first floor and no lift. So, if you have a lot of luggage you will have to carry them upstairs. You can't expect doormen in a standard hotel minus the luxurious amenities. Standard fanfare in the rooms as well and if you want a good view of the street outside, ask for room no. 05 The hotel could do well if they added a safe or locker in their rooms and made provisions for an electric kettle with tea/coffee bags in their rooms itself instead of having it at the reception. Overall, a very average hotel but not sub-standard.
We were there for the World Cup in 2018 - didn't mean to book this far out of town but booking choices were limited. - but it's right on a tram line (50 Roubles a ride) to get you into downtown and travelling with the locals was half the fun. Only about 800 Roubles taxi trip back home from the party heart of the city every night. Authentic Russian restaurant associated with the hotel - great local cuisine which include horse meat dishes. Rooms were old but big. Lift is tiny - just get two people in with luggage. Across the road are local markets were you can buy anything and everything. So overall an interesting hotel. Cheap place to stay - so you can spend up big elsewhere in this amazing city.
Really best location but very poor service, they asked money for everything even slippers!!!! Poor breakfast with no variety! But we liked the city and enjoyed world cup anyway. By the way there are two hotels called regina in kazan. Maybe the other one be better
