The downstairs of the room is the beach, but the beach is not good, and it is messy everywhere. No beach on the island is clean and beautiful. A few slices of bread and an omelette with a glass of orange juice were the same every day. It can only be used as a transition to the island for a day or two. There is no comparison with the island. On the second day, we took a taxi past Malé. The 10 minutes journey took us $25, it was too dark! The city of Male is the capital of the Maldives. Come and go out and see, the small capital. There are shops that exchange coins in the urban area, and RMB 100 is exchanged for 200 Lafia. $100 is for 1555 yuan of Lafia, and you can buy things with Lafia, and it’s a good deal to eat. It’s not worthwhile to pay in dollars! Half a day is enough. Don't go by boat, just take a taxi and go to the China-Malaysia Friendship Bridge in the past. When we went back, we exchanged the Lafia currency in Malé. We could rent it back to the hotel with only 100 Lafite. Equivalent to RMB 50.

|0.46km from city centerI stayed only for one night and during my whole stay construction was going on. It was not so pleasant when you tired to hear that noice. However, reception staff are all super polite and friendly and helpful all the time. I requested a late checkout which I was provided. Furthermore it was a Friday and I need to visit mosque to pray but I did not have proper uniform but hotel staff helped me to sort out this case and I am really glad for that. Room was super clean and super cozy, I loved it. However, towel was only one for 2 people, I did not know why. As my partner was flying abroad, I was the only one who used that towel. At the end of my stay, I left from this hotel with a full of positive emotions and honestly I recommend to all. Minor things can happen even in 5* luxuries resorts as well, as per my work experience. You will not regret during your stay there. Thank you very much for whole staff. Sorry that I could not mention any names of Reception and concierge guy.

This island is man made, so space is at a premium. We booked a twin in the hope that we might have a bit more bed space, but the floor space was not really big enough to have both our dive bags open at the same time. However the staff were absolutely delightful. The rooftop restaurant was really nice and the food and service was great. We had to leave at 5.15 and there was a lovely breakfast spread out with yogurt and juices and fruit beautifully presented. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

The room was clean, amenities were good, the included breakfast was great and the fact that they included one-way airport transport was a bonus. They were also flexible with check-in (possibly a factor being we travelled during non peak months). The one downside, if it matters, is that the property is not beach-facing. Though it's a 2 minute walk away. The locality itself is fabulous. The beach is great, a public park (with skate ramp!) is nearby, and there are several options for restaurants. It's a good budget pick for a hotel for a one-night (or more) stay. I'd certainly stay in Hulhumale again rather than the more crowded Male!

However after the check out I received a call from the hotel and the guy who spoke to me was very rude. He told me that we did not inform them about the dirty towels and now their boss will be angry. I told them that we requested for room clean but they said it will be provided on the next day. And that Bangladeshi guy said we caused them a loss by making the towels dirty. I asked them if they don't have any towels in their stock and this guy hung up. It was so offensive and so unethical to call their customer and speak like that. Besides no hospitality establishment staff can call to their customer and say we cause them a loss or give lectures like that. I know about this because me and my friend who stayed with me, we work in the same industry. This was the first and last time there. We will never go back to hathaa beach again.

The Hard Rock hotel is well equipped with everything one could desire on a family vacation. The swimming pool and beach have a great atmosphere frequently filled with music events and activities. The food is top notch and very diverse. Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy from a wide range of activities, such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (highly recommended), weight training center, Zumba classes and more. The room was nice with a view over the sea but still not too noisy from the road below. the bed was very comfortable and AC efficient and quiet. When we arrived, it was pouring rain, and we were very happy with this decision. Our reservation included free transportation, which proved to be extremely convenient. Prior to our arrival, the hotel had provided us with instructions, and as per those instructions, Andrew, the hotel manager and an all-rounder, picked us up from the airport. We noticed long queues for taxis, but we didn't have to endure that, thanks to the complimentary transportation. It was a significant advantage of booking with this hotel, and the drive to the hotel was only about 10 minutes. The hotel check-in process went smoothly, and all the standard facilities were fully available. We had dinner through our reservation, and it was one of the best meals we've had, both in terms of quality and affordability. The next day, the hotel coordinated with our resort and arranged the drop-off for us by 12:00 PM. The organization was excellent, and special thanks go to Andrew, who ensured that our short stay was highly memorable. This is the best place to stay on the mainland before you head to your dream resort.”

The room was as promised - comfortable beds, nice little patio. We enjoyed the breakfast as well - we were able to sample some local food. My wife took a fall on the sidewalk and scrapped her knee. The staff was so nice. The rushed to get the medical kit and insisted on properly cleaning and dressing the scrape. I wish I could remember her name - she was so caring - you'll know here when you get there. She has amazing hazel/green eyes and kind smile. Thank you!

Emerald green water that calm the nerves is a sight that is so welcoming from the balcony of the apartment we booked. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and well kept. The washing machine and kitchen made our stay even more pleasant and at ease. The manager, Unais, is super helpful and very prompt in accomodating to our requests and queries. He even sourced out the best island hopping guides for us. I highly recommend this hotel as it is elderly and kids friendly I will definitely come back to this hotel if I visit Maldives again. I stayed for 2 nights in different rooms, because of the smell from sewerage after complain they changed to another room and unfortunately the second room also same cannot breathe because of smell from sewerage. The beds were extremely hard and the television didn't work either. When I complained about television they said they check and fix it but no one came to fix it. Hot water kettle was provided without tea and coffee, when I request coffee they said it’s not available.
