|0.24km from city centerWe were extremely disappointed with this hotel Yes, the location is good, but so many other things were tired and hopelessly dated. I can’t remember when I have ever stayed in a hotel anywhere that did not have individual temperature controls in the room. The shower was very slippery and the water temperature was uneven. The bathroom amenities were minimal, given the price for the rooms. And instant coffee in the room?? Every other hotel we stayed at in Argentina had a Keurig or Nespreso machine. Finally, we are becoming accustomed to finding USB ports in hotel rooms for our devices and there were none. Fortunately I had my own adapters, because the hotel had run out of them. I believe this hotel has a 4-star rating, but this was no 4-star experience. Also I reached out to this hotel several times via email and had no reply. There was no manager available during our stay.

|0.42km from city centerDeceiving. These photos don’t show reality. The hotel’s reception and breakfast area are ok. However, things change dramatically when you go to the bedrooms. They are dirty and extremely small. I felt disgusted when I walked on the very dirty and stained carpet. The bathroom is very very small, very dirty and things don’t work properly. The closet doors are very hard to operate, the wooden blinds were ripped here and there. The toilet leaks continuously and the bath tub doesn’t drain well. When I showered, the water would not drain and raise by 1 foot or more. The breakfast was ok.

|2.32km from city centerWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff were excellent Rooms had an amazing view with a hot tub/jacuzzi in each room by the window overlooking the view of the mountains/lake. Bed was very comfortable. Internet could be a little slow at times. Food was excellent, breakfast was very good. A very relaxing stay with rooms with a view to die for. We had rooms in the 3rd block the higher up you go the better the view. 05 rooms have a jacuzzi in the bay window of the room overlooking the lake. Would most certainly come back. .

|20.34km from city centerWhen I went to make a reservation at the Llao Llao, I could have easly chosen a more expensive room in the newer Moreno wing. But the hotel website made it look as if the older Bustillo rooms had the same nice lake view as the Moreno rooms, so it didn't seem worth the extra price. But the room that we were given, on the fourth floor of the Bustillo building, was small, dark and extrmely depressing, with a tiny view of the lake through a dormer window that one could only see standing up. As it rained for most of our stay, we had no choice but to spend a lot of time in the room, which was really dismal. The bathroom was also particularly ancient, and the bed was not comfortable. The location of the Llao Llao is certainly dramatic, and the indoor/outdoor pool in particular is wonderful. I'm sure that the hotel is a lot nicer in good weather. But it's inconceivable that this could be considered a five-star hotel, considering the dreary state of the room that we were given.

|9.45km from city centerIt is a small hosting - only 10 rooms - excellently preserved, located in front of Gutiérrez Lake and with amazing panorama views. The rooms, all with view of the lake, although they may seem something ancient, for whom they like old furniture (in this case of provence style) and a extremely sweet mountain decoration of the mid-century, They are very warm and cozy, but since it depends on the customer's taste. The question of distance is also subjective, but if you want to enjoy the tranquility and the environment, whether or not the city is close, it becomes an ideal place. In addition to a lobby, with its very warm, integrated dining room, an atmosphere that reminds those old mountain cabins of the old American films, it has a terrace to breakfast or enjoy the landscapes that adds a very important plus. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable and it is very good to get a good service.

|0.43km from city centerThe attention of all the staff was excellent (Flavia, Niki, María and the staff who served breakfast). From kindness to willingness to tell you what to do or how to get around. The room with an incredible lake view. Abundant breakfast. Above it has a kitchen and refrigerator for common use. Water with good flow and temperature. Excellent location. The common areas are very nice and comfortable. Good connectivity, even in the room!!! We would choose them again!

|0.4km from city centerHotel Nórdico by Nordic is located in the centre of San Carlos de Bariloche at 2.5 km of the bus-station. The hotel offers 13 rooms over 3 floor. No lift and no breakfast. Next door café EM&C has very good breakfasts. Free Wi-Fi. Reception closes at 22:00. Friendly staff. We made our reservation via Booking and confirmed by credit-card. That appeared to be a mistake. Booking immediate charges in USD. You better email or call the hotel for a reservation and pay cash in AR$ on arrival. Our very small room was adequately furnished and decorated, had an OK double bed, open wardrobe & safe, TV on the wall, fridge with soft drinks, but no chair & no table. The window can be opened into a 10m2 air-shaft. We had a separate small bathroom with a toilet, wash basin, bidet and shower over the bath. All was clean. Daily house keeping. We received several requests by the hotel to check-in via the web. That implied, besides filling in the usual personal info, a copy of the two relevant sides our passports. We found that overdone and very unsafe. We refused to send copies of our passports over the web. We found hotel Nórdico a practical hotel, and we had an OK stay in our cramped room.

|0.37km from city centerThe old hotel, but with a renovation, and the main very well located, initially stayed in a super old triple room in the first floor, suffering. They should not offer, but we were the reception and asked for a newer, and we offered another in the third floor that although beeeem smaller but was retired. Silent. In the past day we should mark the time for breakfast, congratulations. I missed vegetable milk and mexed eggs, I finished buying my milk and took it in the morning without any problems.Even with these reservations I recommend the hotel, just don't take the first floor tpl room, rsrsrs.

|0.87km from city centerSo the Check-in was a nightmare because you had to do in over the website with WiFi that wasn’t great The room was big and clean and the bed was comfy The bathroom was a bit run down as was the rest of the room but you could have a nice and hot shower The breakfast was good as we had the “extra“ the lock on my window was broken as well …they did fix it temporarily though Otherwise the hotel is on what I would call the end of the centre of the Main Street and therefore you can walk very nicely to all the shops of Bariloche

|0.7km from city centerIt is a very well located hotel, near the shopping centre and the bus stops. It has views of the lake in the living area and in the rooms that give the west. Breakfast is very complete. I emphasise the friendlyness of the public care staff. I recommend the hotel for those who want to use it as a base to make tourism across the area.

|0.9km from city centerTo provide some background about myself, I have backpacked in the likes of Vietnam, Peru, Cambodia etc. I am not some primadonna and can totally accept basic/rustic accommodations. We booked the suite at Selina which is the best room they have and was not cheap at near two hundred per night. Website makes it appear that this is some cute and trendy design hotel. Really this is a vintage hotel which must have been purchased and cleaned up a little bit, it appears nice in the photos because of the modern furniture but the furniture itself is rickety and falling apart at the seams. The top of the coffee table was not attached and the bench in the bedroom area would have collapsed if a child sat on it. My first impression was, they tried but did not succeed. I felt some sympathy for them in the beginning. But it only went downhill from there. When you arrive you will find that the room is without a telephone, a television, water, coffee maker, and the toiletries are in flimsy packets which they do not replace every day because they do not clean the room while you are there. The Wi-Fi is spotty at best. The hairdryer was broken when I arrived, and it took them over a day to fix it. For most people this isn’t an issue but I have 20 inch long hair that is thick and cannot wash it without a blow dryer. I had more or less beg the staff to fix it in order to get it done. There is no air-conditioning. The hotel is staffed mainly by young hipsters who seem to have no training in hospitality, and some of them lacked even basic courtesy and had a bad attitude in most interactions. Above and beyond all of these misgivings, the one issue that I absolutely could not forgive as a fact that there was no running water in our suite. When I needed to shower I had to sit in the tub underneath a trickle of water coming out of the faucet, attempting to bathe myself whilst basically sitting in my own filthy water freezing and struggling to wash myself. When we informed the reception staff of this issue, their explanation was that this was a known issue which was common in the suites. I am of the opinion that running water is a basic necessity and human need that any hotel room should offer whether it is a hostel or not. However, this was advertised as a suite, a private room, as such I would not anticipate having to use shared showering facilities (which we were forced to) or pay the price that we did for the suite. This is definitely 100% a hostel/backpacker place, with absolutely no services. In my opinion they should not even offer private rooms. The private rooms are clearly an afterthought and they don’t even have the infrastructure to support them. If you are expecting anything even slightly nicer than a backpack or type hostel stay elsewhere. We checked out after only one night.

|0.2km from city centerWe spent 5 nights on points as Diamond members. The location of the hotel could not be better, a short walk to Centro Cívico, shopping, restaurants (we recommend Breogan for good food at reasonable prices) and chocolate shops. We had a spacious corner room with beautiful views of the lake. The breakfast buffet had lots of variety and the items were of better quality than one finds at Hampton Inns in the US. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We rented a car at Sixt a short walk down the street (Frank was very helpful) and access to the indoor parking was via a room key access elevator. Our only complaint is the shower which was poorly designed so that the water ran onto the bathroom floor rather than back toward the drain. Also there was a faint sewer smell. It had a rainforest head without a wand which is not the best for short people. The bathroom could have had better lighting. With improvements to the bathroom which perhaps are only required to this particular suite (we did not see any others) we recommend this hotel.

|0.59km from city centerWe were staying in May, Mariana is an excellent host. The hotel has a very good taste for those who want a quiet, prolix environment with quality food (do not lose the cocoa cake and the apple buddy that makes Mariana ...exquisite). The sweet taste in the decoration, from art where you want to see (tables and sculptures, photos), to plants and tapes placed in the exact place. It always smells rich, but in the morning you are waking the flavor of a newly furnished bread (and there is a half difficult to sleep again... it gives you a hunger!). Sweets are exquisite. Natural yoghurt made by them, orange juice, eggs. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. All the people who attended us, from whom he received us to whom he fired us at the check out: perfect! Thanks!!! beautiful experience.

|2.53km from city centerOur tour company, unexpectedly and at the last minute, changed the time of our departure from 7:45 am to 6am. Unfortunately, the hotel’s breakfast starts at 7am, with no exception, not even a single cup of coffee. Strict policy with no consideration of a guest’s request or desire. We could accept this unfortunate policy had they not been making an exception for another group in plain view. The breakfast policy in general should be reviewed because the previous morning we came down to find the dining room roped off but with people inside, with no sign of a hostess. Inquiring at the front desk, we were told we needed to wait so we can give our name and number. After waiting a long time with no sign of anyone, a guest walked by us, bypassed the rope and proceeded to a table. We followed suit and the dining room filled with guests all removing the rope or going around it. The hostess finally emerged from the back. Overall, the hotel was comfortable. The views were spectacular (look beyond the construction in front). A couple of chairs anywhere outdoors would have been greatly appreciated to take in the view and breathe the fresh air. We loved Patagonia but these minor breakfast “policy” issues were disappointing.

|1.09km from city centerI stayed for 3 nights and was very happy with the stay. I had a classic standard room which was large and exactly as per the photos. A very comfortable king bed, and amenities including an in room safe, fridge and flat screen tv although nearly all the channels were in Spanish. There was no tea or coffee in the room but there was always the Mitico bar / lounge on the first floor with incredible views across the lake and a good menu for light snacks and drinks all very reasonably priced. Unfortunately my room wasn’t ready when I arrived until 15:00, but I was given a drinks voucher whilst I waited which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good with all the standard options including scrambled eggs. I didn’t have chance to use the spa but the pool looked nice, again with that incredible view. The hotel is well located with only a 10 minute walk to centre Civico where there is a tourist information centre who were really helpful with good suggestions for day trips and bus information. On my first day I did the circuito Chico which was a 10 km circular route which included climbing up Cerrito Llao Llao at 1080m for great views. On my second day I caught a 55 bus to Cerro Catedral and took the cable car followed by a 30 minute hike to reach the peak with stunning views. The only negative of my stay was that I had a connecting room with a door to the next room, and I could hear my neighbours (who were loud). Reception offered to move me to a non connecting room but they only had a twin so I declined as the king bed in the classic is very nice. Overall I had an excellent stay and would highly recommend.

|4.62km from city centerHaving flown halfway around the world to one of the most beautiful areas in the world, imagine our horror when we walked into our suite and found that we overlooked a building site. The hammering and drilling wasn't too bad - it didn't start until 08.00 and ended around 16.00! But we could have done without it, thank you. We immediately went to Reception to ask for a room change but were told that there weren't any available and we were too jet-lagged to cope with the hassle of changing hotels. It seems to be an indication of the lack of regard, or even complete disdain, in which the hotel management holds its guests. We had no notification, either directly or via our booking agent (SuperTravel), that our suite would be next to a building site and were certainly not offered the opportunity to change or upgrade our suite. Further evidence of the poor management was in the dining room where there was no greeting from the unsmiling staff - the opposite of what we had come to expect in any of our dealings with the normally friendly, smiling, happy, lovely Argentinian people.

|0.15km from city centerGood location, nice breakfast meal and a neat place to eat, amazing staff, nearby shops, pharmacy, restaurants, centro cívico and playa centro, beds are confortable, have a safe, mini fridge, tv and strong and good WiFI, is a good 3 stars hotel but need some improvements, and my main concern is the bathroom, looks tired and old and sketchy, and the rooms fronting the main street with not AC, does not help with the noise, ie a busy street, is necessarily to keep the window open at the room, so when you book a room get one with a view to the lake, maybe will be quieter, is in a great location also to be pickup by the tours companies, another tip, request a taxi from the hotel to pick you up at the airport, is good choice, and they did it for me, thank you!, around 4300 pesos the taxi fare, the communication with the hotel with the app (Booking) and email was really good and they responded any of my concern or request really quickly. Notice too that you will need to pay as a tourist a tax fee to the local authorities (Eco Tax) at the check in, cash, credit card, which you will do at any hotel in Bariloche.
