      Stayed overnight and was pleasantly surprised how welcoming the entrance was. The reception, bar and breakfast room was beautifully decorated and our check in was fine. We asked could we have a drink before we went to our room and was told to wait a minute until the receptionist had finished what she was doing. My husband asked what time does the bar shut and was told it just depends how busy it is! Again he asked what time does the bar shut and she replied 10pm…. OMG!.. When we went to our room as stated in other reviews it felt like we’d entered another hotel. The room was smelly, very dated with broken handles on the furniture, the windows had failed and the bathroom was awful. Black mould on sealant, missing grout, a shower tray that wouldn’t drain properly and the pressure very slow. We would have requested to move but was told on checking in that there was a wedding on in the morning and that the hotel was fully booked. When we went down for a drink and had to wait until the receptionist had finished checking customers in until he could serve us, then he took bed linen into another room ( it was in the bar) and then he dashed back to answer the phone! Obviously not enough staff. In the morning we decided not to have breakfast so cannot comment on that but when we checked out nobody was at reception, no bell to ring for attention. We didn’t want to just leave the key has we’d had drinks put on the room and I wanted to check our bill but when my husband checked in the breakfast room he saw no one! So we had to just leave the key on the desk and checked my bank account when I got home. If this hotel is in the middle of refurbishment then it should be honest to their customers regarding the rooms.

      Had an overnight stay with breakfast first weekend of this month. We had 2 rooms for 4 adults and a child. Rooms were on the 2nd floor and very nice. Really spacious with a double bed and single bed. Room came with a hairdryer that was decent and an iron which saved me having to bring those items. We had bathrooms with a bath and overhead shower. Really clean and enough towels for us. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. Staff on the hotel reception are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Cannot fault the hotel at all, would recommend.

      My four friends and I booked this hotel to stay whilst we attended parklife festival. The beds were comfy and the rooms are spacious, enough space for all of us to be able to get ready together. Shower and bathroom in all okay. The staff were all lovely and continued to help us with questions and provided us with taxi numbers etc. The only thing that could have been better is 2 pillows per person, one is a bit flat! And some extra toilet roll in the rooms as we ran out a few times, luckily we had spares with us for the festival! And in one room the bed squeaks very loudly! Rating slightly lower as very expensive. But all in all the stay was great and was perfectly enough for what we needed out of this weekend, to wake up and be refreshed ready for the next day! Will stay again if returning to parklife.

      Stayed here last night and I was not disappointed! Lush hotel, the staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble !!! The room and bathroom was very clean and well looked after and the large screen television was a lovely touch (they are usually very small !!!) The hotel is perfectly situated as it is close to amenities and shops and the pub next door is lush !!!

      Great entertainment and overnight stay when we visited. Easy check in, nice clean room with a comfy bed. Went in the Pub and Griil and we had chicken wrap with fries that were hot, fresh and tasty with good, friendly service. Function room was a nice size with plenty of seating without it feeling over crowded and the bar service was good and helpful throughout the evening, There was plenty to choose for our breakfast that was all fresh and hot, with a good choice of drinks. All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful.
