I visited with my husband and 3 year old daughter. The property is stunning. The outside areas are clean and well kept with many tucked away seating areas for relaxing in (which I took full advantage of). There is a nice little children's play area that my daughter loved. A well-maintained pool that we had mostly to ourselves. Dinner at the property was delicious and convenient. The owner was extremely pleasant and spoke excellent English. The property is about a 15 minute drive from Le Scale di Turchi and also from the Valle dei Temple. We had an excellent weekend and would not hesitate to book another weekend here!

This agriturismo is situated in a very peaceful location surrounded by vineyards. Our room (no. 7) was clean and spacious with a very large, comfortable bed, and a large paved terrace overlooking the farmland and surrounding hills. The large, newly opened pool was a real bonus. The owner and all of the staff were so friendly and helpful, which really added to our stay. The buffet breakfasts were extensive and the evening meals were always delicious and home-cooked by Maria, who also made the bread, fresh pasta and cakes. We were always very well looked after by Enza, the waitress, who helped to make the evening meals so enjoyable. You will need to have a huge appetite if you are to eat all of the set menu every night - we tried and failed the first night, and chose to miss out a course after that. We ate there every night for the two weeks we stayed. The wine, produced on the farm, was delicious and most nights we were offered a complimentary limoncello after the meal. This is an excellent place to stay - as others have said it is a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort.

This is a very nice place to stay in Agrigento. The views in the of the local farms in the morning just made me happy, and the view of lights ringing the mountain village nearby were magical at night. The choice of Due Ganee was spur of the moment and I didn't realize that dining at the farm was an option until we got there. What a great choice. In the winter, all the guests dine together at a big family style table - delightful company, many languages. The farm family is in the background taking care of cooking and serving - all 4 generations. Very hospitable. For nice weather, there's a long table outside under an arbor. It's like being in a movie about the good Italian life only better and real. Each dinner has an antipasto, all homemade tidbits, each delicious. Then there is a homemade pasta course, different every day. If you eat all the pasta, you will never make it through the entree. Fresh grilled dorade (fish) was the entree on our second night and it was the best fish I've every eaten - anywhere. Then there is something sweet, a lemoncello or slice of homemade cake. This is not a fancy place. But you will know your are in Sicily and you will enjoy.

This is not just a review about B&B Sorahnia Design House, because that's easy - it's 5 stars in every way anyhow: From checking in to checking out, my experience at this beautiful house in Agrigento was just outstanding. Any room in the structure is unique and different. Highly recommend to book the Superior Room “Michelangelo” which is absolutely among the best room you could ever find in Agrigento. Amazing experience, amazing service, unforgettable tasty sicilian breakfast freshly baked and cooked by the owner herself who was so kind, helpful, attentive and friendly. Special Shout Out for Stefania, who not only gave us the most amazing stay experience but was careful with any detail of my entire trip in Agrigento. Love to see people enjoying their job. I have travelled around the globe and have been to many hotels and B&Bs but it has to be mentioned that the friendliness was simply outstanding! This is an excellent place. The rooms, the food, the cleaning, the service, the decor and the ambiance ... everything is on the top. A HUGE RECOMMENDATION!

Everything about this B&B has been well thought thought out and executed. Recently refurbished to a high standard, the rooms and breakfast area were spotlessly clean. A set check in service was available meaning we could arrive at any time and the owner sent us all of the details in good time. Although the approach by car suggests you may be in a newer area of Agrigento, it is actually positioned on the edge of the old town and only a few minutes walk to the centre with a wide range of bars, restaurants and gelaterias. It is also a good location for visiting the Valley of the Temples - only a few minutes drive away. Breakfast was excellent with a good range of savoury and sweet pastries, fruit etc. The hosts were very pleasant and attentive. Our only disappointment is that we had only booked to stay one night. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We loved this place!! We used this as our jumping off point for the Valle di Templi and La scala dei Turchi. Just a 3 minute walk outside the town square with parking available just outside on the street. Anything on via Athena you will have to drag your luggage through the busy cobblestone streets. We stayed for 2 nights and couldn't have been happier. The room was immaculate, the bed a dream after our 12 hour days. I love it here, and wish we were going to be here longer... I visit Sicily often as I have family here and despite knowing our way around I didn't know about this little gem until now. After finally finding this place which is at the end of a steep dirt track, we were taken aback at how lovely it was. This agriturismo is nestled in a quiet corner of Agrigento's countryside. The food we ordered was exceptional and the gentleman who took our orders was at hand to talk you through the menu and recommend wines and even dishes. The mixed starter of goats cheeses with their home produced marmalade blew us away. The rack of lamb I ordered was perfect and portions generous. All ingredients are fresh and they use only local produce right down to the limoncello and almond flavoured marsala. If you're close by it's a must. You eat well in a lovely setting and it's not pricey with that made for tourists feeling. This is Sicily. Enjoy it. I do.

It’s a family hotel, the equipment is old and the room is small, the windows are facing the opposite building, there is no view, the stay is not good. The advantage is: 1, the location is really good, go out is a square, you can overlook the Mediterranean, every day sunrise and sunset are beautiful to suffocate 2, very close to the train station and bus station, you can buy the bus ticket to the temple valley at the train station, the bus is also stopped at the train station, more convenient Suggest: In fact, if you have enough time, you can take a one-way bus, buy a ticket to the Temple Valley + Archaeological Museum, and take a bus to walk back, because the archaeological museum is in the middle of the city and the Valley of the Temple, after reading the Temple Valley, go to the museum, after reading Walk back to the city, about 20 minutes

We loved Casa Realia. It is in a fantastic location: by a cliff overlooking the sea and a five minute drive (literally) to the Valley of the Temples. But unlike the Valley of the Temples, which is filled with tourists, it was quiet and beautiful. Here are the things we loved in addition to the location: - beautiful, large room with doors out to the patio. Quiet and romantic (we got the Elite Quadruple room Maddalusa) - absolutely lovely garden, with winding paths through the palm trees and a view of the sea. - very nice pool that was larger than most hotel pools, i actually swam some laps! - delicious breakfast with all sort of good things - some sicilian (fresh mozzarella, prickly pear fruit, cannoli, almonds or pistachios brittle - I think it is a kind of torrone or paniere maybe?) and some more traditional (boiled egg, oranges). - very, very nice hosts. Simona (who didn't speak english) and Gian Carlo (who is fluent). They were so helpful and also gave us great recommendations for dinners. It felt very different from other, larger hotels that are friendly but more impersonal somehow. - and with regard to Coronavirus, they were very very careful. Always a mask, and they served us breakfast from the buffet. - plus a safe location, with a tall fence around the premises. We stayed at four star hotels and this was comparable. If you go there, you'll want a car and get the coordinates from the hotel, because it's a bit hidden away off of the local highway.

We traveled to Agrigento to visit the Valley of the Temples and spend some a day at the beach, not having given much thought to the city itself. We were pleasantly surprised by the town - very stylish and very welcoming. Euterpe is the perfect complement to all of that - it is an upscale B&B, carefully and enthusiastically managed by Alessia, who is relentless in making sure that each of her guests are well cared for. Did you particularly like a certain pastry at breakfast on day 1? if so, it could magically appear for you on day 2. Its that level of attention to detail that sets this place apart. The rooms are modern and well-appointed, and we highly recommend #2, which faces the street (but is very quiet) and has a beautiful terrace to allow you reflect on the day and sip prosecco. This, however, may not be the best place for guests who cannot walk up two flights of stairs, since there is no elevator. The climb is very well worth the effort if you can do it.

I stayed there during a motorbiketrip around sicily in July 2019. It’s far the best place we stayed during our trip. The place is managed by the owner and his sister. They both do everything they can to make everyones stay as comfortable as possible. The building from outside doesn’t look so nice. It is kind of hard to find somewhere outside of Agrigento right in the middle of nowhere. Ask for GPS coordinates before going there. Amyway, from inside the Villa Diana proofs big style. Everything you need after a long day in the heat, lovely decorated rooms, comfortable washroom with bathing ropes and lot’s of things to discover when walking through the building. I didn’t even miss a swimming pool. The owner and his sister are lovely people always good for a nice conversation. Breakfast is another highlight. Local and international things served in a exceptional nice atmosphere. I would certainly go there again when I am in the area..!!

Hotel location is very good, go to the temple to walk in your backyard for ten minutes, of course, to buy tickets. The overall quality of the hotel can be better. The failure of the breakfast restaurant to see the temple is a big disappointment. It is too inferior to the dinner restaurant. Therefore, if you do not have a view room, do not have dinner, and do not swim, the advantages of the temple landscape will not be able to play.

The only advantage of this hotel is that there is a garden behind to see the largest cactus aloe tree and other plants around a few hundred meters. There is a supermarket to buy a few bottles of water. The next day, I saw the Valley of the Temple. How about the monuments two thousand years ago? It’s an hour of stone construction. If you look at the Valley of the Temple, you don’t have to use it in Sicily.

This B&B is a gem. It's new and the owner is working hard to please. And indeed, we felt very well taken care of! Loved the location and ability to walk in town. Be aware that is you arrive by car, the parking is a challenge. Not insurmountable because of the great efforts of the owner to help and accommodate. The owner coordinated our arrival time and came out and drove our car to a nearby parking space on the street. He and his son and girlfriend carried our luggage in and were patient to answer may questions about the area. Parking was not an issue for the rest of the weekend, I think it helped that it was the weekend. But we are used to parking issues in Boston. The accommodations were comfortable, simple, clean, with a nice bathroom, and large space. A cute little balcony off our rooms. We were 4 women and felt very safe. We were glad to be in the old town and close to the temples. Walking around the old town of Agrigento was interesting. They usually give a pass to the local café for coffee and pastry. The first AM we were looking for a big breakfast, early, prior to our tour of the temples. Octavio accommodated our request and came with eggs, pastry, cereal, fruit, yogurt and we ate at small tables in their kitchen. Octavio is a wonderful man who goes out of his way to please his guests. Their fridge is always stocked with free water, oranges, and yogurt. Also, a coffee maker available. Very sweet. I highly recommend this B&B. You will be glad you chose it!

We are Canadian, 4 of us travelling....2 adults and 2 boys (12 and 10). We stayed for 2 nights at this lovely B&B. Our 2 bedroom apartment was excellent. It was clean, spacious and had all the amenities. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well. There was a small aquarium with fish in our room that the boys loved. Lots of dogs/puppies and kittens around the courtyard. Breakfast was amazing and fresh and all made by Vincenzo and his friend with local ingredients. The pool is small but very warm and inviting. The boys loved it. Location is great and close to the ruins. The homemade dinner was also spectacular. But the best thing about this place is the owner and his family. I had fallen and broken my hand requiring a trip to the hospital in Agrigiento. It's a small hospital and the wait time in the Emergency room was 10 hours. My wife and children went back to the B&B while I waited. Upon hearing about my fall, Vincenzo's father promptly left to come stay with me (for about 6 hours!!). He helped me understand what was happening and translated for me. He brought me water and kept me company. Vincenzo made sandwiches and brought drinks for the rest of my family while they waited for me. I can't say enough nice things about this B&B nor it's amazing owners. You should most definitely stay here. You too will be captivated.

My boyfriend and I are traveling around Sicily and we started our journey from Agrigento and Il Baglio della Luna. The boutique hotel is an oasis in the dry Agrigento country side. The rooms are unique and comfortable, but it is not the best part of the experience yet. We dined at the “Accademia del Gusto” restaurant inside the structure. A wonderful green terrace with a wonderful view on the temples and exquisite local food. In the morning, we had a tasty and rich breakfast buffet, including sublime pistachio and almond croissant. It was the best start for our Sicilian trip and it is a recommended stay for a true Sicilian experience.

My husband and I stayed with our two boys at the “Locanda degli Scrittori” for 2 nights, while on our tour of Sicily. We had 2 adjoining rooms, the “Tomasi di Lampedusa Room” and the “Sciascia Room”. The hotel is beautifully located within an olive grove, which also houses the birthplace of Luigi Pirandello, which, prior to being expropriated by the Town Council, formed part of the estate. The Pirandello House is located a short walk from the hotel and at night it hosts free Pirandello plays. The “Archeological Park of the Valley of the Temples” is a short drive away. The hotel structure provides a stunning combination of clean modern lines and local materials and colours and blends most harmoniously with the surrounding mediterranean landscape. Both rooms were immaculately tidy and clean, bright and stylishly decorated, with comfortable beds, well appointed bathrooms, direct access to the olive grove and lovely books. Breakfast, which included yogurt, delicious pastries and fresh fruit, was served on a breezy roof terrace shaded by white parasols, with beatiful views onto the olive grove. Our little boy loved to sit on the hanging chairs in the garden and gaze at the starry sky above. We were warmly welcomed by the hotel owner Salvatore, who also entertained us with lots of stories about Sicily and upon departure gave us as a gift a bottle of olive oil from his own grove. Many thanks. We shall definitely return and recommend it to our friends.

I regret only staying here one night. Arriving at this peaceful and beautiful place in the countryside we were received by one of the young brothers running Baglio Laurio - sorry I forgot your name! After unpacking in the cosy rooms, we fell into conversation over a beer in the patio with our host, discussing the history of the farm, what they produce now, war history and politics. We took a swim in the nice pool overlooking the surrounding landscape. Later we were served dinner composed by the cook; local delicious dishes and good wine. Our waiter was charming and attentive. To wrap up the evening we all gathered outside to watch the World Cup match France - Belgium. A Belgian family was staying at the Baglio as well, so to accommodate them a TV screen was taken outside in the patio. Great night with more talks and discussions :) All in all a very pleasant stay here; beautiful house, pool, landscape - and not the least - very kind hosts. By the way - everybody spoke a very good English :)

Just the sun the sea you and what the nature provides. Good facilities inside the area, a small shop a restaurant, also spacious toilet. No hot water.you have to buy special coins. Stay at The Villa Igiea, incredible is an understatement... really! Staying here felt more like a privilege then just another resort stay, and being invited into its history... between Italy and Sicily. I still can't believe how well preserved and maintained this seaside luxury resort has been kept up. I booked my stay because I wanted a true Sicilian experience and The Villa Igiea delivered it spot on. I planned seven nights in Sicily, my first three nights here, arrival was warm, courteous and welcoming... I was upgraded to an ocean view suite that was large, comfortable, cozy, high ceilings, large windows that opened and working shutters, killer views of boats, working harbor, ocean, grounds and amazing sunsets! Let me be clear about something, The Villa Igiea embodies old world luxury inside and out, very much reminds me of the Reids Palace on the island of Madeira, but in Sicilian sophistication and style. If your hotel preference is shinny, bright and new, then this resort will be too sophisticated with its old world elegance for you... Enough said I found the resorts staff to give five star service, every meal delicious, ingredients fresh and ingeniously prepared, daytime poolside relaxing, evening strolls romantic [even solo] decor befitting the history and location excellent for adventures off property. I would, and have, not only recommended The Villa Igiea but Sicily also, making it a perfect island and historical amazing vacation destination, add it to your list! Here are just a few of my treasured memories and photo's. Enjoy every adventure ahead of you and the diversity our planet offers

The room is super big, and the boxes are just spread out. Because Palermo is not big, it is convenient to go anywhere. The front desk provides a map, but the Italian cannot be read, so I still rely on Google. One thing to complain about is that the door of the room is a bit loose. As long as someone opens and closes the door, it will ping-pong. The first night we thought someone was opening our door, which scared us to death. Later, when the problem was discovered, the cabinet with the luggage was completely dead and quiet. Personally, this is still a big problem.

Just came back from a 16-day trip to Sicily and we loved every bit of it! Palermo was the last stop of our trip and we spent 4 nights at the Quattro Canti B&B. Location is excellent, just right opposite the Fontana Pretoria (fountain of shame) and few steps away from the beautiful Quattro Canti junction. Teatro Massimo is a convenient 10mins walk away and the airport bus is round the corner in front of Rinascente. We felt very safe in this area and there are many restaurant options within 5 mins walk. We had a room on the second floor facing the next building hence not much of a view. Room is okay overall and bed is firm and comfy. The restaurant on the top floor has a good view. Special thanks to Bernadetta at the front desk who was extremely helpful with all our needs.
