Definitely 4 stars for the staff across the board. I was here for meetings and spent 2 full days at the hotel. It stormed the entire time I was in town so walking the beach wasn't feasible. I was able to check out what was near by. The hotel is close to Starbucks, McGuire's, and other restaurants. You can see the beach from the lobby of the hotel. My room was quiet, but not as clean as I wanted it to be. There were splatters on the mirrors in the bathroom. Being in Florida, the humidity was causing the wall paper to peel. My room did not smell and the AC worked great. The gym definitely needed some fresh air. Even though my room was a small disappointment, the staff made up for it. Honestly, everyone was so friendly and pleasant. Loved the Bistro team, especially in the morning and at night. The afternoon front desk manager (I didn't get his name) was personable and so helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for location and friendliness of staff.

I was in need of a clean pleasant and safe place to stay for a week while my husband was in Baptist Hospital for bypass surgery. Thanks to outstanding Management and Staff I found everything I needed...and more...at The Residence Inn on Chase. Not only was my suite homey to return to each day the staff kept me lifted up with concern for both me and my husband. I am not a novice traveler and have experienced hotel hospitality both domestically and internationally. This hotel and staff were exceptional. For anyone looking for convenience to the hospital it was easy...one right turn...one left turn...one more right turn...you are there. Re the suite: plenty of even flow hot water...everything I needed in the kitchenette...clothes storage...a very nice dressing area...comfortable furniture and bedding. Not to mention anything and everything you could want on the breakfast buffet each morning. And an excellent happy hour several nights a week. Staff...my sincerest thanks to each and every one of you for helping me get through a very difficult time. You were such a blessing in my life. Maybe someone else is looking for the same pleasant accommodations and comfort you provide so well. Jane in Destin

We have found out so many times in our travels to average out reviews and throw out the very good and the very bad. This hotel is in such a convenient area, right in the heart of everything. We didn't know when we booked way back when when we booked the hotel that we were booking right on Mardi Gras... Our first day was the day of the Mardi Gras Parade.... how amazing was that.... the parade was fantastic and went right by the parade... We managed to get a "few" beads too, ha. ha.... The room wasn't large, but was comfortable and breakfast was included (bagels, cereals, Bread, yogurt, juices, fruit and coffee) and in the evening there was a Happy Hour offering free Wine and Beer and various munchies (cheese, crackers, Snack mix, Nacho chips and really good salsa), every night from 5-7 pm... this is fantastic, where do you get anything for free anymore...

I must say I am pleasantly surprised at the quality and value of this hotel. The facilities are new, well-maintained, clean, and modern. But the excellent review comes from the STAFF. Every single employee I’ve encountered has been wonderful - a rare find in today’s world. The 2 front desk members could not have made check in easier, and did so with true customer service. Later in the evening I came down to purchase some water bottles and the gentleman quickly stopped what he was doing to greet and help me with a smile. The breakfast sever was smiling and chatting, and the cleaning crew in the hallways were so polite and said hello every time we passed them. Way to go to the management that formed this crew. You have a great one. 👍

I’m writing this review because as female traveling alone this was not a good place to stay. The halls a not very lit and there was construction on the first floor and the fourth floor where I stayed which made the dim lit hallways look even worse. I felt like I was in some scary movie. Then there was no water in my room and no one at the front desk offered me water and when I asked why I was told that I had to ask for it. The vending machines don’t even have water in them. Only canned soda. Finally I had king bed and when I was under the covers it felt like I was getting bit. I shook the sheets out and proceeded to go to sleep being that I had an early flight. I woke up the next day to bug bites of some sort around my ankles. How disgusting! I really expected more from the Hilton brand.

This property is brand new which is always a great treat for travelers. The location is less than 10 minutes from the airport (without the noise), near many chain restaurants, and very convenient to the Medical Center. The rooms are generous as other Residence Inns, well designed, and very friendly staff. I recommend this hotel compared to many others in the area primarily because it's new, large rooms, and convenient. Two things to remember: One - The hot water takes forever to actually get hot. I turn on the shower while shaving to make sure the temperature is appropriate; Two - the very friendly housekeeping staff sprays the carpet and rooms with an extremely strong smelling room freshener. I woke up with headaches several times. Ask the housekeeping staff to hold on the room freshener/sanitizer during your stay! I opened the windows as much as possible which helped incrementally - but not completely.

Good breakfast, very close to the airport, Shuttle, airport shuttle, very convenient. When you arrive at the airport, you call the hotel and they will pick it up. But be sure to pay attention to the tip: breakfast $3 (even if you booked a room with an early breakfast), clean the room for $2, and the driver picks up $5.

If I could rate it below a 1 I would. Needed just a place to lay our head before our early morning deep sea fishing excursion, nothing fancy. At $100 a night you would think I would at least get a clean room. Get to the location, it is NOT how it looks online. There is an outdated laundry mat in the front. Red flag #1. The backside of the motel is boarded up. The hotel looks like it has been power washed. Check-in. ..lady could not find my reservation. That was my second warning. Thankfully the gentleman was there and found it. She asked how many? 2. She then stated well there is an extra charge for anyone else. I said thats cool but it's still 2 and would you like to check my truck thats sitting in front of the building? Said no smoking in the room or we will be charged. Go to the room ( after 5 hours on the road we wanted a shower ), room smelled dusty. Toilet had very low water pressure, no shower rug and floors are tile. Okay well its a cheap motel. I always check my beds before I sit on them. Checking for bugs. Nothing found. Great. I turned back the cover and there are cigarette burns all over the cover. We looked up at the "smoke detector " to find out there wasn't one. We shower and leave to go meet friends. We returned late night. Parking lot is full. Get in and the AC is not working. At this point if I wanted to just give them $100 I would have left. We shower and lay down. Sheets feel like they have sand on them. We got no sleep. Early morning excursion prevented me from telling them about the AC until we returned. We told the housekeeper about the sheets and bed cover. They literally shook the sheets out, half made the bed and did not put the cover back on but left it in the chair. They gave us a shower rug but took one of the bath towels. Felt like we could not have both. I would not recommend anyone visit this establishment until they either upgrade it or take it down to be priced accordingly at $45 - $50 a night so that you can expect to just get what you see.

Would definitely give this hotel a 5 star, however, you can hear everything in hall, neighboring rooms and floor above. We slept on the second floor so the foot traffic above us could be heard. Everything else about this hotel was a five. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fine. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. Check in was a breeze! I believe her name was Sandra - she had my room ready (early) and handed me my room cards when I walked up to the counter. She remembered my voice bc I called her from the VPS airport to see if I could check in early. She happily replied “sure ! We have a room ready!” Only stayed one night but would definitely recommend this hotel, just stay on the top floor if you don’t want foot traffic above your head...

The good things I can say about this motel was that the bed sat high of the ground, and was comfortable. Plus the sink was also high, which for a tall person like me is great. The shower head was high enough for me to stand under as well. It was about a 20 minute drive to the Pensacola Lighthouse, which wasn't bad. I didn't like the lighting fixtures in the rooms. They didn't give off much light, and the room was very dark. I couldn't see what I was writing while at the desk. Also, there were no towel racks anywhere to hang your towels either in the bathroom by the shower or in the sink area. I also had no hand towels in my room. I was first excited to see there was no carpeting in the room, but later discovered that the floor was dirty. The rest of the room was clean. The rooms face out, and it was very loud. I could hear everyone coming and going from their rooms and cars. I can't say I would stay here again.

Nice stay. Bed was adequately comfortable and the room size was nice. Bed could have been positioned to see the TV a little better but it was also OK. Jay was excellent and said he would take good care of me upon my next stay, which I will do in later this month or early next. Overall a nice stay. One thing: this hotel inexplicably requires a a $50-$100 dollar cash deposit upon arrival, so be prepared.

I wanted to start by thanking Johanna Allard, she was absolutely wonderful!! She worked so hard trying to accommodate as many people as possibly after Hurricane Sally. The room was very clean and beautiful. I work in the bedding industry and tend to always check the mattresses to see if they have protectors on them. This is only the second hotel I've been to that actually had a fully encased mattress protector (keeps bed bugs out). I was highly impressed as most places do not go the extra mile. The mattress was very comfy and the down comforter was a nice touch. Each staff member I interacted with was more than helpful and despite chaos in our city due to the hurricane, they had a smile on their face and warm welcome. Thank you all so much for being there for us all!! ~ Stephanie & Jim Allen

I’ve recently had a very terrible experience at the hotel across the street, so when I walked in this Red Roof Inn it was like a breath of fresh air. Clean lobby, organized front desk area, all precautions were taken for COVID, super kind staff and a beautiful spotless room! Sylvia made sure I had everything I needed. She was so sweet and has the best personality. I actually think I’ve made a new friend :-). TJ helped me out the next day when I needed to book another night and was having some difficulties. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a nice place to lay my head that evening. I can’t stand not good things about this hotel. If you’re reading this wondering if you should stay here or not...Do it!! You’ll be happy you did!

If you are a member of the Days Inn board of directors, or a shareholder for Days Inn, you’re not going to enjoy this very much. I suppose if you are just arriving here from Afghanistan or Haiti, this hotel would be marginally tolerable. Aside from that, everyone else will be gravely disappointed. So here’s the setup. I decided at the last minute to book a weekend Labor Day trip to Pensacola. I found this Days Inn for $97 per night. I felt like this was a good deal considering it was a holiday and it was last minute. Turns out it was $67 too much. This place is a f——-g dump. You can stop reading here and just look at my photos if you’d like. It gets 2 stars ONLY because the housekeeping staff was friendly. THATS IT. 1. The first night we were there (Friday) I swear this is no joke, it sounded like a woman was being murdered in the parking lot. She was screaming for help like I’ve never heard before. Only a few hours after checking in, we have the police swarming the parking lot. 2. The clientele, consisting largely of transients, losers, and deadbeats were not the fun loving tourists I anticipated. 3. There was a van (see photo) that had sat in the parking lot since 2016 was something of a sight straight from Somalia. 4. The trash that accumulated on each floor of the hotel was collected less frequently than the public trash collected at the beach (not exaggerating). In fact, not shown in the photo, was the animals that had gotten into the trash because it wasn’t collected. 5. I’m not sure you can tell by the photo, but the water in the tub and the sink did not drain. So when you shower you are standing in a soup of previous tenants filth. 6. Dead roach. That is all. It’s an absolute DISGRACE that a national chain would put their name on a dump like this. Let this serve as a lesson that if Days Inn would allow even one of their properties to devolve into this deplorable of a condition, they don’t deserve your patronage anywhere else. If you’re thinking this is an affordable option to be near the desirable Palafox/Historic downtown area...think again. Spend the extra couple dollars for the numerous and plentiful other options in the area.

We came in for a nights after Red Snapper fishing, and I needed somewhere to freeze my fish. Rooms have real nice little beer fridges, but no freezer. After talking with the very nice bar tender "Vivian", She arranged it with the front desk and Kitchen Staff to let me leave my cooler in the deep freeze in the back. Fresh caught Red Snapper made it all the way back to Colorado!! Oh, and she pours a great Bourbon over a large whiskey ice sphere!! Thanks Vivian!!!

We made a weekend trip to visit family with a 18 month old baby during a pandemic and staying at the Hampton was great! The check in and out was easy and everything in the room was very clean! My son even spilt coffee on the sheets and the staff were more than happy to get our room cleaned up. They were allowing us to snack in the dining area even though they weren’t serving anything to eat. It was nice because most nearby places were allowing us to eat at the restaurant so it was nice of the hotel staff to allow us to enjoy our meals in the lobby. My son also loved the view of being able to see the cars drive by from our window. View was great, the rooms were great and the staff was amazing! Thank you Hampton and thank you to all the staff! Going to the local Naval Museum, so book there, the airport comes out around the uber20 knife. In the renovation, our room was a bit tasteful but acceptable. The room was very large, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast was simple but hot and it tasted good. The old lady was very enthusiastic about packing us two cakes for us to eat on the road, the fruits are bananas and apples. satisfaction! There is a commercial center in the surrounding area to go out, but don't expect large shopping centers in small places.

We often travel by car from Texas to South Florida. We break the trip in two legs over as many days. The first leg more often than not takes us all the way to Pensacola. The hotel offerings in that city vary and so we have had our fair amount of good and bad experiences. On our last trip I decided to book this hotel, it is our first time but I can assure you we will book it again in the future. The first thing we noticed was that everything was cleaned. Hopefully it will stay that way in the future. The service was nice and the included breakfast was actually pretty decent. Other hotels around the area also offer free breakfast with your room but more often than not it is pretty bad. That wasn't the case here. We also liked the fact that the hotel is next door to a Ruby Tuesday restaurant so dinner at night is not an issue neither. If you expect resort-like amenities and that sort of deal this is not your type of hotel. It is located next to the entrance ramp to I-10 East which makes it a perfect choice for someone who's traveling and just needs a rest over-night. The big pluses: Clean, friendly staff, good breakfast offerings, greatly located if you happen to be traveling using the I-10, next door to a Ruby Tuesday restaurant if you want something other than fast food for lunch or dinner. The negatives: Not many given the cost and specially if you aren't seeking more than one or two nights in the place.

So I've been coming to Pensacola for many years and would never have thought I'd stay at this place as it is in a kind of gross area and has always looked a bit gross itself. But for this stay I was just passing through for a short night stay and saw it on Hotwire for 40 bucks all in, so I decided to roll the dice. Yes, the area was still gross and there was definitely a slightly scary feeling in the parking lot as I could just sense the shady stuff going on there. But the appearance of the place was better than expected and was cleaner and newer than I had prepared myself for. The parking lot looks like it was just repaved which really makes the place look better than it ever has. The room was quite clean. The bathroom and shower were fine. The TV worked well. The bed was okay. I did see a few shady looking characters walking around the place, but nobody bothered me at all. So I'll rate this place as an overall average because for 40 bucks I got what I'd consider an average stay worth about 40 bucks. If I'd paid more the rating would certainly be lower. I will consider staying here again in the future if I can get the same rate.

Long gone are those days where I enjoyed ”driving” across country 8-16hrs straight. As such, my intention to do a short drive of 3-4hrs turned out to be an imaginary remnant of thought after a slap of an 8hr drive reality that necessitated a late check-in. That's when those heavily cloud9 like pillows @ Townplace suites were calling my name! Given the late check-in, I found my recent experience w/ Marriott's Townplace suites - Pensacola to be fluid...the welcoming was warm and hospitable, my room was as per my Marriott profile preferences...and the bed and PILLOWS failed not in the least bit in its performance in giving me a goodnight 😴 sleep. Hats off... totally above par Townplace suites - Pensacola!

We first got there we took a shower after our 12 hour car ride and the floor in the bathroom and the kitchen area was very slick and I fell. No damage done just a little inconvenience. Also, the bed was very odd. It had a mattress and a topper that the sheet did not stay on. And the blanket was too small for two adults to share. The kitchenette area was wonderful and the refrigerator was very spacious. If we were staying here longer this would have been an ideal place to fix her meals and relax. the breakfast was closed each morning we were there but the good news is they gave us an opportunity to find a local breakfast place.

We traveled from Birmingham, Alabama last July for a Family Reunion. We booked our accommodations on line ahead of time. It gave a description of sheer elegance. Nothing was further from the truth. It had a microwave and fridge. We thought from pictures that we would have an extra that our others members would not have-microwave. The fridge did not work, no coffeemaker, poor plumbing and unlimited insects. Had I had to be there more than 2 nights I would have moved to another location. I deserve my money back. DO NOT EVEN BE FOOLED BY THE ADS....
